I received this eARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.

4 Indisputable Stars!

The Review...
I really enjoyed this read. It had a great story, interesting characters and a different take on the whole teacher/student/forbidden romance theme, which I really liked. There were also a few things I think could have been improved on which I’ll explain later in my review.

The writing was well done and the author showed a talent for getting inside your head and making you think about the characters and the situations they were facing. I felt anxious and sad and happy and loved the sexy butterflies I got. This is this authors debut novel and it was an excellent afternoon read.

Story/Characters...
Tatum Krause is eighteen and living on her own. She works a full time job, she takes care of herself, she’s prepping for college and she’s very independent. She’s also damaged and a little bit broken. Her life has always been a struggle but she never thought she’d be living as an adult while still a teenager.

One night out changes everything. Meeting a handsome stranger who she might could actually have feelings for was the last thing she ever thought possible. But what she really didn’t expect was he would turn out to be her teacher.

Jacoby Ryan has a dark past he’s trying to escape. Guilt and despair are just two of the emotions that strangle him on a daily basis. Starting a job in a new place is supposed to be his fresh start but when he comes face to face with the girl who ran out on him before things got too heated, he’s not only stunned to see her again but appalled she’s his high school student.

Thoughts...
What I really loved about their scenario was it was an instant attraction but it wasn’t an instant love. They couldn’t stand each other... well, at least on the surface. They were both monumentally attracted to one another, they just didn’t want to admit it and I loved that. The angsty, slow build to romance was refreshing.

This book was well written and it had some great plot points. The characters were interesting and really fleshed out. It was heartbreaking but also had a fantastic story.

I also liked that there wasn’t a huge fall out for what Tatum and Jacoby had found in one another. The author gave us a great love story with lots of conflict but also strayed from the usual consequences for this type of situation and that was nice. Jacoby and Tatum finally find their peace especially after all they’d been through.

I got the butterflies, more than once. Jacoby was sexy and had me swooning. He and Tatum don’t start out on the best of terms so there’s a slow build in their relationship and those are always the best kinds. And when they do finally come together, it was explosive and hot! I enjoyed watching their walls crumble and subcoming to one another.

But...
Much of the story felt like one huge contradiction. One sentence would state something and then in the next, it would contradict itself. For example, at one point during one of Jacoby and Tatums fights, she’s scared to confront him because she knows he’s going to be angry and then when the confrontation goes down, she’s “confused” as to why he would be angry with her. This is just one example of something that happens often in the story. One sentence will state something and then the next will state the complete opposite.

Also, it was like everything but the kitchen sink was throw in as conflict for these characters. Both of them were suffering painful pasts to the extreme and with all they had going on and all they’d been through, I didn’t think they always stayed true to what you’d expect from their characters. Jacoby is moving forward, shedding off the blame he’s placed on himself and is ending a purely sexual relationship as he’s contemplating a relationship with Tatum, however, when his past is revealed and the tragedy explained, he’s suddenly saying he’s carrying around too much guilt and will hold on to that forever and he doesn’t deserve happiness. But he’s so “in love” with Tatum and she’s the only one for him. It just felt off. Someone with that much pain, guilt and past tragedy is usually fighting the “moving forward” thing we see in these kinds of scenarios and doesn’t come to the conclusion he’s worthy of a happy ending until he finds redemption. Jacoby just didn't act like I expected him to given his past.

Tatum on the other hand held true to her character most of the time and the author did a great job with her resistance to anything good after all she’d endured. Tatum was in so much pain and you could feel that through the pages as she walked through life with that small bit of hope buried in her drowning heart. She wanted good things but was scared to wish for it.

There was a lot... and I mean a LOT, of drama. Not angst... but drama. And I’m not a huge fan of drama. At times, Tatum acted grown and given her circumstance, she had to be independant. In other circumstances, she was very immature and not the good kind either. This was another scenario where one thing contradicted the other. Jacoby states more than once, she’s too immature for him but then he’s all swoony over her and changes his mind. The push and pull in their relationship didn’t display a good flow or dynamic, it was all over the place and left me more confused than consumed.

And there seemed to be conflict just for the sake of conflict. For example, Jacoby’s sudden disappearing act. He has the presence of mind to text his bff but not the love of his life? And then Tatum goes off the rails.. after only a couple of hours? That was another case of her immaturity and her insecurity. Her confidence didn’t have time to bloom before the story was over and we don’t see a healthy, secure girl. We still see the damaged girl who needs a safety net or she crumbles.

Both Jacoby and Tatum are two very damaged people and I didn’t see the healing or the resolution to their pasts I was hoping for. The little we do see, happens off page and it’s not explored as well as I would have liked. Maybe if there was an epilogue or a hint at a book two, then I’d have been more satisfied with the way the characters story ended.

The Wrap Up...
Regardless of my “buts”, this author did a good job creating a forbidden but believable story with characters you could relate to. I do think some consistency editing was needed and a few plot points hammered out as well as a few character changes, but overall I enjoyed this read which kept me eager to get to the end. I’d definitely read more by her and I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.

Review by Jen Skewes

I loved this book. When A.M. Wilson asked us to review this book the blurb intrigued me but I don’t think I really knew the emotions that this book would bring out in me. I felt it all, the sadness, the hurt, the pain, the guilt but also the happiness and the love. Indisputable is a story about a forbidden love between two broken people finding each other and healing in the process. This is A.M. Wilson's debut novel and she did an amazing job.

Tatum is just an 18 year old girl but she has experienced more hurt in those 18 years than most. She had a mother who loved drugs and men more than her. She has had a horrible childhood and about a year ago she was basically left to take care of herself. Because of all this Tatum has had to grow up quickly. She is not a normal 18 year old girl. She works full time while also attending high school so that one day she can get out of this small town and be something. She’s on her own, and never really knew what it felt to love someone or be loved, or what it feels like for someone to take care of her. Until Jacoby Ryan came along.

Jacoby is in his own world of hurt. He came to this town two years ago to escape his own past and the guilt that goes along with it. He meets Tatum on the side of the road one night when her car breaks down. They spend some time together that night and there seems to be this instant chemistry. But when the night ends Tatum is quick to run away leaving Jacoby to wonder what happened and if he will ever see her again. They eventually meet again but due to the circumstances of that meeting any chance of them being together is gone because Tatum has just become completely off limits to Jacoby.

No matter how wrong it is to think about Tatum he cannot help himself. She is different than the girl he met that night but he also sees that she has walls up and wants to know why. As time goes on they begin to spend more time together and start falling for each other. They are both so broken inside ad have bother coped with their pain in different ways. But as they start to open up to each other they start to form a bond. Add to that bond the physical attraction and neither one of them can help themselves. But being together can cost them both so much ad they have to decide if their relationship and feelings for each other is worth the risk.

Tatum and Jacoby went through so many struggles, both individually and as a couple. It certainly was not an easy ride for them. But when they were together it just felt right, no matter how wrong it was. They helped each other heal and to live again. Being with Jacoby felt safe for Tatum. I loved these two so much. My heart broke for the both of them and what they went through but Tatum, that poor girl. She has been through so much already and to have to do it all on her own would break most people. She was strong and determined and I admired her so much and understood her fears. Jacoby (sigh), what can I say about this amazing, sweet, caring man. There was just something about Tatum that drew him in and he he just wanted to help her. He wanted to be there for her, to protect her and keep her safe and just take care of her. He was everything that Tatum needed. And when he called her sweetheart I completely melted EVERY single time.

This book brought out so many emotions in me. There are some tough topics in this book that are dealt with but the author did an amazing job with touching upon those issues. I cannot even explain my feelings while reading this book. When you read a book and feel every emotion that the characters feel, whether it be hurt, heartache, happiness or pain it has everything to do with the words on the page and how they are written. And Ms. Wilson wrote this book in a way where I constantly felt it. There are happy moments where I just smiled and my heart melted. There are moments where I got choked up and felt the hurt of these characters. And I also felt the love between them. Even when Jacoby would become frustrated with Tatum you just felt how much he cared for her and the impact that she had on him. So when I say I felt emotions, yes I meant I felt it ALL!!!.

Tatum and Jacoby’s story is a beautiful one. They found each other at a time in their life when they needed it the most. They learned to heal and live again and they did together. And I have to point out that there is one supporting character in this book that I really hope gets his own story. Trey is Jacoby's best friend and I loved him. He deserves his own happily ever after and hope he gets it.

This is a peer review.

"When faced with the ultimate decision, you have two choices. Embrace the situation or get the fuck out of dodge." Tatum in Indisputable by A.M. Wilson

When I read the synopsis for this debut novel, I was immediately intrigued. I was furthermore surprised the author reached out to me with a galley for review. There are several items I need to address before I share my thoughts on the novel:

#1 This is the author's debut novel.
#2 Stories of forbidden love deemed by society make me weak at the knees.
#3 I have a thirst for unique fresh stories that immerse me in with the characters and keep me there until the last page is turned.

Indisputable is the story of an eighteen year old high-school student who has experienced a rough start in life. Eighteen and emancipated in her parents, Tatum is a goal-oriented sassy, spunky, and often angsty senior with good grades, who also holds a full-time job working forty hours a week at a Senior Living Center in Minnesota. Living on her own leaves her to own devices, often seeking shelter from her solace with the wrong choice of company. Despite her young age, she is a very mature individual and understanding of her surroundings, as well as the consequences of her own actions. To deal with her trauma, she resorts to a not-often-discussed-enough type of coping mechanism. What that is - well, you will have to read the novel to find out. One night she is stranded by the side of the road and a kind, good samaritan comes to her aid.

Jacoby Ryan is a sweet kind man with a heart made of gold, who happens to be a teacher, and alike Tatum he comes with a past full of heart-break and pain. He meets our heroine and offers her a ride home when her car breaks down. Before doing so, he buys her dinner and is enthralled by her from the get-go. After dinner and a panty-combusting kiss, they go their separate ways. What happens next, like I mentioned earlier, you will have to read.

The writing in this debut novel is above par, in fact, it is simple and straightforward which makes it so easy to relate to the characters she has created, and has a solid plot that is refreshing and somewhat new. The dialogue is effortless and real, packing a punch in its simplicity, yet there is a depth that draws you in, and makes you question if this is, in fact, a debut novel. The characters are fully developed, and one comment I would like to stress is this story primarily focuses on Tatum and Jacoby. However, there are strong secondary characters that peaked my interest to know more about them - so much that I would like read more about them in the near future.

Indisputable ends with a HEAFN (Happy Ever After For Now). I'm unsure if this novel is the set-up for a series, but it can be read as a complete standalone given its ending, which brings a sense of finality that leaves you complete. The selfish reader in me wants to read more about Tatum and Jacoby in the future, and desires to know more about the secondary characters.

Indisputable is a New Adult Contemporary Romance that is a must-read for anyone who loves stories about angst, forbidden love and redemption, but more importantly, it's a story that will stay with you far after you've turned the last page. This novel filled all of the above mentioned requirements for a good read, and it's a novel that comes with my seal of approval.

Five Stars from me. Brava.

My opinion and reading is subjective and I am a moody reader and right now I just wanted to read a story with a different type of heroine.

I love these stories but I could not connect with the heroine. I just did not understand what drew heroine to the hero.

I love taboo stories like this but I was hoping for something different. This may work for you.

This story started off so well. Tatum Krause is a proud, stuborn 18 year old with the weight of the world on her shoulders. Her way of dealing with her pain and the hand she has been dealt is somewhat self destructive. Then comes along the swoony 25 year old Calculus teacher, Mr Jacoby Ryan with his own problems and commitment issues. The result is life changing for the both of them and it’s beautiful to witness. There is some serious sexual tension between them and the pull towards each other is very strong. Jacoby has a great knack of sensing Tatums pain, and the way in which he reaches out to her to help her actually gave me butterflies. It’s not all sweetness and light between them though. There is some push and pull between them and at times they each left me exasperated!

This book had a lot going on, which was awesome but unfortunately the end part of this story fell a bit flat for me. I felt it kind of just finished without much resolve. There isn’t any plans for a second book and we were left with too much not addressed, not even an epilogue to bring the story to a close. For people that don’t mind that, this is a great book but for me it made me drop my 4 star rating down to 3.5 stars. Sadly the ending, although enjoyable just wasn’t enough for me.

I’ve always been a sucker for a student teacher romance. I love a little bit of forbidden in my reads, and Indisputable didn’t disappoint. What sets this book apart though, from other books in this genre, is the development of the female lead, Tatum. There is an underlying story beneath the student teacher aspect of the story. Tatum has not had an easy life. She’s lived on her own since she was 17, after finding her mother overdosed in the bathroom. Her past has led her to become a cutter in order to control her life. I really sympathized with her character and hoped for a bright future. She really deserved it after everything she’d been through.

Jacoby, the teacher, was not as well developed as Tatum. Although he also has a sad situation in his past, it is not deeply explored. I did like his character though. He was kind and so supportive of Tatum and her issues. Although their relationship took place over a school semester, it unfortunately did feel like “instalove”. I understood it but I didn’t feel it like I hoped I would.

There were some questionable aspects to the story as well. They live in a very small town where the school is K-12. If Jacoby was living in the town for 2 years, how did Tatum not know him or run into him prior? Why is a teacher bringing his 18 year old student to a bar and allowing her to drink? How did they not get caught? There is not much conversation on getting found, and they even have a very hot encounter in the classroom one day ;) With that said, I still got the warm fuzzies at several points in the story, I think that those that enjoy this genre, will not be let down.

“For the first time since I stepped inside these walls four years ago, it doesn’t feel so lonely. It might be because I’ve finally found the control I’ve craved my entire life, and it doesn’t come from a sharp metal blade. It might be that I’m finally ready to fight like hell for something I want more than my next breath. Or maybe it’s the simple fact that I know he’s here.”

I received an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review. This review is spoiler free.

Indisputable is the debut novel for Author A.M. Wilson and I have to say I absolutely loved this book. It is very hard to believe that this is Ms. Wilson's first novel as it was very well written and the character development was flawless.

The main characters Tatum and Jacoby are both polar opposites but completely alike which just makes you fall in love with them. Tatum is a troubled young woman (18 years old) and Jacoby is man with a world of guilt on his shoulders (25 years old) though initially you wouldn't know it since he is one of the most sweetest of men, chivalrous and kind.

Both characters have not had the easiest of lives. Tatum struggles with a very serious illness that many young teenagers face unfortunately, feelings of abandonment from her mother and severe trust issues. Jacoby, new in town, tries to put his past behind him but the guilt he holds in his heart, a mistake that cost him more than anyone could bare to loose haunts him.

Both carry pain and sadness apart but together... together they may stand a chance at true happiness despite the many obstacles they face.

I am super excited to read more from this author as she has become one of my favs. I am not so secretly hoping that one of her supporting characters in this book get's his own story... lol

Bravo Ms. Wilson, you've done an amazing job and I feel blessed to have had the honor of reviewing this amazing novel.

What a bloody fantastic book!
I don't even know where to start! This is officially my favourite forbidden love, teacher-student story! It's not your typical same old story, it's incredible!
After having both experienced horrible things, Tatum and Jacoby find each other, and it's really pretty epic!
I would certainly never think that this was the authors first book, as she really writes impeccably, bringing out every emotion the characters are experiencing.
I'm more than a little bit in love with Jacoby, and Trey his best friend, who happens to be a bit of a hunk!
Tatum is an inspiring, damaged character, that you just want the world for!
I cannot wait to read more from this exceptionally talented author! I HIGHLY recommend this book!

Tataum an 18 year old who is broken and alone crosses path with jacoby when her car breaks down in the middle of the night. Jacoby is a man who is also broken by his past and he sees something in Tataum that he wants. He got 1 breathtaking kiss before she ran away from him that night. A few days later each 1 of them keeps thinking back to that night, and that kiss. Tataum is just starting her senior year of high school where she finds Jacoby as her New math teacher.

Although I didn't love the story I thought it was very well written especially for a first book written by the Arthur.

I love forbidden romances. There is sometheing there, that pulls me in :)
This was a good read. So many bad things happened to Tatum, but she held on. She was a really strong character, even though she didn`t feel so. Jacoby was such a sweet man. He was her teacher but he cared for her from the first time he laid his eyes on her.
They were both broken, but they`ve managed to put those broken pieces together, into one.

A beautiful story about love and healing.

~~~~~~~~~~Dee's ★★★★★ Review~~~~~~~~~~
Tatum and Jacoby are two deeply troubled individuals. On top of that, their attraction to each other was against the rules of society. So they had a lot of manure to wade through. At times they fought against their feelings and just walked away. It was an interesting adventure watching them deal with their personal demons and together deal with the fallout happening around them. The story line was engaging, the plot moved at a good pace and the tests and challenges added spice to the narrative. Tatum & Jacoby's love proved that all the trials they faced together only made their love stronger. It became a well deserved gift to both of them. I was given an ARC in exchanged for an honest review. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Five Stars.
I really enjoyed this story it's a great debut novel!
The leading lady Tatum on the outside is a witty 'doesn't take any rubbish', sarcastic girl, but on the inside this girl has a traumatic past and is hiding a secret! Tatum meets Ryan or Mr Ryan AKA Jacoby, who is also hiding a hurtful past!
The attraction is instantaneous, but then the drama unfolds as we find that Mr Ryan is actually Tatums new teacher! The author did a really great job of writing about some very sensitive real life issues!
Grab the tissues because there's so much emotion in this book, be prepared!
This is a teacher student romance, but there is so much more to this story than that! I'm not saying any more! Go read it for yourselves!! Four stars!
I have to say I love this work! I had a lot of mixed feelings while reading it. I was reading to pound someone's head in, I was laughing my butt off, I wanted to cry, and I wanted to scream.
The story of Jacoby Ryan and Tatum Krause. It will grab your attention from the beginning, and hold it though the book.
~~~~~~~~~~Patricia's ★★★★★ Review~~~~~~~~~~

This is a story of forbidden love between to people who have experienced so much pain in their lives. Jacoby is a high school teacher and he picks up a girl on the side of the road who is broken down. Tatum is a high school senior about ready to graduate. They find each otherwise when her car breaks down and it is an instant attraction. Then things start happening in their lives that brings them closer together even if the know that they shouldn't be involved.they finally come to terms that they live each other. Can their love withstand what others are trying to put them through and can they continue to keep it a secret

~~~~~~~~~~Sharlene's ★★★★✰ Review~~~~~~~~~~~
Tatum and Jacoby meet on an off chance encounter and have an instant attraction. However, both of them have secrets and lives that interfere with their continued relationship. Tatum tends to be a little bit of an immature brat and Jacoby is an idiot for putting up with it. Other than that, I liked the characters. They were both pretty interesting and had some unique quirks and perspectives that made for an interesting story. The story does move a little slow with a lot of internal dialogue but it is told in dual POV so at least that dialogue get switched up from time to time. This story does flirt with the edges of inappropriate behaviors between teacher and student. It also has some violence so if those things bother you, I wouldn't read this story. The scenes are well set so much that I could almost smell what it was like being back in school again. This is a stand alone and does have an HEA
* I received an ebook in exchange for an honest review. *
I enjoyed this book/story by author A.M. Wilson. Her book was full of surprises, twists and turns. I would have given it a 5 star rating, however, there were a few things that I didn't enjoy as much as I hoped that I would.
Tatum was the main character and at times I really enjoyed her and at others I wanted to slap her in the head. She was portrayed as a mature adult in some aspects and then she was a whiny, sarcastic brat in others. I felt like she needed to be one or the other. Also, the storyline was a bit shaky for me. I didn't buy into the fact that a judge let her become her own guardian, live alone, work full time and go to high school. It just seemed a bit unbelievable in that aspect.
Jacoby was the other main character and while I did enjoy him, I wasn't sold on his whole scenario. The way that he left with no word to Tatum, helped to beat a guy up, and the flashbacks seemed to overpower the main part of the story. I felt like he was trying too hard. Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy the book, but wish that a bit more work was spent on the plot.
So, back to the plot, I liked the instant attraction, the working together to help each other deal with the past and the friendships throughout the story. I wasn't a big fan of the classroom hook-ups, the mechanic hook-ups or the way that the plot twisted to include Wyatt and then he was suddenly just gone. I felt like he had such an important role that just wasn't tied up well.
The author did a good job of keeping the readers attention and keeping the plot unpredictable. The reader was always one step behind in solving the mystery or in figuring out what may happen next. The author spent time with the characters and didn't try to overwhelm the reader with too many characters, so it felt like we were in a close knit community. The story line was different and with a little more detail or alterations it could be a stellar story! I think that this author will only improve from here!! I do recommend this book to readers as they will enjoy it and they won't be left disappointed. There is an actual ending to the story, no cliffhangers on this one!
I enjoyed this story for the most part.
1- Tatum seemed VERY immature to me. I rolled my eyes at some of her antics. I get that she had issues, which supposedly made her more mature for age, but I wasn't buying that a 25 year old could fall for her. Everyone is annoying at 18 (which I was slightly confused about because I could have sworn that she was going to be turning 18 at one point and then she was 18 so I thought she was lying to Jacoby at first)-it kind of comes with the whole 'growing up' thing but I just don't believe a 25 year old would have put up with her antics. I mean, I cringed at multiple times in the novel as she did and said stupid things. She was also VERY naive. Buy an illegal gun? Trusting her abusive f-buddy to fix her car? Let said abusive prick drive her ANYWHERE ALONE? Go back to her apartment after ONE fight when she knew it wouldn't be safe? Cutting herself because her boyfriend is gone for a few hours? For christ sakes, that seems a little extreme don't you think? (granted he could have handled that situation a little better on his part, but MAN). Overall, I really just didn't like her character. And as a almost 27 year old, I can say with 99% conviction that early twenties vs late twenties are VASTLY different in terms of maturity which makes a 25 year dating a TEENAGER weird and probably not so accurate (not that it doesn't happen but it just seems improbable for working out in the long run)
2- Nothing against the author or story but Jacoby is probably on my top ten list of worst names ever. I much preferred Ryan as he went by in the beginning of the book. Jacoby is also probably the least sexy name to say out loud during sex. Again, this is just my opinion and I do not mean to offend the Jacoby's out there (although, I have never heard of this name before).
"Indisputably" Wonderful!
I generally find myself suspicious of romance novels, even though I absolutely love them. They seem to be mostly full of canned characters and predictable story lines. I found this novel's characters to actually have depth, which made the story all-the-more entertaining to read. Characters who actually have character coupled with a forbidden romance? Sign me up, I'll read that all day.
I will be honest. The way the story started out, I had to raise an eyebrow. It was very "Oh no, my car broke down in the middle of nowhere, and I'm with a tall, dark, and handsome stranger! Whatever shall I do?" It was very cliched at the start, but it got better. Much better.
I won't dive into a lot of detail as I personally dislike spoiler-y reviews, but I will say this. Give this book a chance. I found it to be slightly slow moving for the first few chapters, but after that, it really picked up.
A. M. Wilson's debut novel is well done. There are a few grammatical and punctuation errors, but those do not detract from the story at hand. The plot is peppered with darker themes that allow the book to spring forth from the typical cliched romance novel.
I am also impressed with Wilson's depiction of the more graphic sexual scenes. Some romance novels use too many synonyms and different words to describe the human anatomy, and overuse of a thesaurus becomes tiresome. Wilson calls it what it is for the most part, and the scenes are far enough apart that it does not become overbearing a la E.L. James.
I look forward to reading more by the author, and yes, I recommend this book. It's a good, smooth read. It's not overly wordy. I liked it. A lot.
***Received from author in exchange for an honest review.***
I absolutely adored this book. We meet Tatum and Ryan at the beginning of the book when Ryan stops to help a stranded Tatum. From the very get go there is an attraction between the two. Sparks fly, but they still go there separate ways. When they meet again they are in a situation where nothing can become of their mutual attraction. Animosity develops, but the heat still rises between them.
Tatum has not had a very good life up to that point. I can't spoil it for anyone but let's just say that Tatum has a good reason for being the jaded person she is. She's very smart and works hard but there is a sadness to her as well. Because of what life has handed her she has had to become hard and unwilling to let people in.
Ryan is such a sweetheart, most of the time. Because of the desire he holds for Tatum and not being able to do anything about it, not to mention her attitude, he can come across as not so nice at times. He can sense that Tatum has had an easy life and wants nothing more than to help her, if only she would let him. He holds his own secrets as well. Secrets that has caused him to hold back when letting people in.
What we have is a love story that seems impossible. Two people that carry secrets and are scared to trust. What Tatum goes through, and what she ultimately puts herself through, is heartbreaking. And Ryan, his past is just as devastating. I loved these two characters. The writing was absolutely suburb. It's hard to imagine that this is the authors first book. I was totally amazed at how well it was written. I can't wait to read more from this author! Job definitely well done!
A Shimmering 5 Stars!
I loved this book! Right from the beginning when Tatum meets Mr. Ryan (Jacoby) I was entirely hooked!
They fell in 'like' during a moment where they both believed the possibility of something more between the two of them was possible... and oh my GAWD with that kiss... as a reader, you are dying for so much more of that possibility, believe me!
There is an underlying darkness in Tatum that follows her throughout the story. I've never really experienced cutting personally, but I've known others who have and I know they speak of that release...that control over something in their lives when they feel as they have no other source. Tatum struggles with her desire for control, and after the unspeakable happens with an ex boyfriend, if you can call him that, the darkness within her only heightens.
Mr. Ryan...aka Tatums teacher ends up being the light to her darkness. He helps her with her struggles, giving her a place where she feels safe...only, that safe place is in his arms and very very forbidden being that she is a high school student...and he is in a position of power as her teacher.
There is lust, love and a push and pull of emotions so well plotted, that there were times I giggles, gasped and growled...Yes, I growled at my iPad! No judging, I was frustrated!
All in all, this story is not one you want to miss. The words are so intricately woven to create a story that won't fail to make your heart race, your palms moist and you...well... I did say it was hot, didn't I??
Believe me, you want to read this one ladies and gents! It's a definite five stars for this chick!! <3
Well done A.M. Wilson! I was enthralled!
Tatum had a tough childhood with a father she never knew and a drug addict mother.  Yet,  Tatum was a conscientious student that worked hard and did really well. She earns her own income by working at the diner and the home for the aged. She's bought her own car and lives on her own,she's very independent.  I'm so proud of her and she is such an inspiration. Her life could've turned out very differently. The only thing that does worry me is how she relieves her stress......
On a night drive to calm herself,  naturally with music blaring, the car dies.  Not being able to reach Wyatt , her mechanic friend with benefits, she reluctantly accepts the help of Ryan, who at this stage is a stranger! Hello girl  have you never heard of "stranger  danger"?!
So Ryan and Tatum end up sharing a meal and conversation but when Ryan kisses  her she runs and that seems to be the end of that ....Ryan is the  gentle , considerate and caring man that stopped to help a damsel in distress.  He also has delectable lips are heavenly to kiss and then to put the cherry on top he's also smart....he's a calculus teacher !
That ladies is where Ryan and Tatum's paths will cross again....in class ! Due to Tatum's little temper tantrum she is now his teaching assistant....Damn Tatum can get sassy and brownie points to Ryan for keeping his cool with her I would've spanked her ass a long time ago :)
The attraction between Tatum and Ryan is just so strong yet they're both fighting and denying it. ...
OMW!!!  When they finally cave in its time to get a fire extinguisher ...I'm afraid I may just self combust! Watching Ryan and Tatum give in to the inevitable was more than entertaining.A ★★★★ read
4 STARS
I received an ARC copy of this book and in return I was asked to give an honest review.
This is the debut Novel for Author A.M.Wilson and WOW what a way to start her writing career. The characters were written with passion which resulted in a fantastic forbidden love story that I devoured in a few hours
Tatum has not had the best start and has grown into a young woman who has had to grow up quick, she is feisty, strong and very independent and only has a couple of people who she can turn too… but still she just wants to be loved.
Ryan (Jacoby) has faced a rough few years which have left him moving to a new town to start again, filled with guilt after a life changing event that shattered his life and heart.
Once chance encounter and an attraction that is undeniable leads to a hot make out session that makes Tatum run….when they meet again they both realize that no matter what it would never work anyway he was her teacher OR could it ?. Secrets are sure to rock them both….
Will they resist each other ?
Do they give in to the temptation ?
Can they save each other ?
Read and find out…Whilst this book can be read as a standalone and the end left me satisfied the author seems to have left it possible to write more for them and secondary characters that we met along the way.
Indisputable by A.M. Wilson
Tatum Krause just wanted to live a normal life. With her senior year approaching she just wanted it to go smooth. The drama with her mother issues with drugs, she moved on with hopes of having a “normal” year for once. Forced with an issues she seeks help by a god- like stranger.
Jacoby Ryan has had it rough and all he wants to do is erased it from his memory. It of course it never goes the way it planned. When his eyes meet with a beautiful stranger on the side of road seeking help. His past of guilt and constant hurtful memories never escape, but he knows she has some too.
A.M. Wilson novel titled Indisputable. This is writer debut novel. I love this story for so many different reasons. I was instantly taken as soon a started reading. She has a keen sense on how to grab the reader and keep them interested throughout the whole book. The way I connected with these powerful characters. It felt realistic and I enjoyed feeling what they were feeling. A.M. writing skills are definitely on point the book read smoothly and was an easy read. I am very pleased and it didn't feel like I was reading a new writer. I recommended this book to readers.
I give this book 4.5 out of 5 stars.
Complimentary copy provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.
I have to admit, when Tatum and Jacoby met in the first chapter, I had a pretty good idea of the way things would go down. The thing that set this one apart for me, from other books with similar story lines, was the development of the characters. I really liked Tatum and Jacoby. The connection between the two was believable, and while not nearly as taboo as it could have been, there was definitely a heat between the two of them.
There were many times that I got a little frustrated with Tatum, I think it was mostly due to her immaturity, however Jacoby made up for it in spades. Seriously, I loved him...he is definitely swoon-worthy. I liked that Tatum had some serious baggage that she was able to overcome and she is one of the stronger heroines that I've seen in this type of book. This was a great read and as soon as I got into it, it sucked me in and I didn't want to put it down.
The story was well developed and the characters were multidimensional, but that ending! I would have liked an epilogue at the very least to get a better sense of ending. The author has definitely left the door open for a follow on book, however I'm not sure if that was her intent. Indisputable was a solid four star read for me and I highly suggest it for fans of teacher/student romance.
For starters, this book kept me interested throughout its entirety. I enjoyed the plot and the flow of the book. There was character development and progression from both Tatum and Jacoby. The readers receive substantial background for both characters and it adds to the credibility of the story.
There were some things that just kind of irked me....there were a few inconsistencies. For example, when Jacoby is taking Tatum to their weekend getaway, it states that his hand covers her jean clad knee. Then a page later, it says that Tatum was instructed to get ready before leaving so she was wearing black leggings, and so on. There were other parts where this happened too, mainly with the timing. This did not, however, take away from the meaning of the scenes. Just something I picked up on.
I thought the author did very well at portraying a believable character in Tatum, especially her immaturity. She is only 18, so she's not always gonna be rational and logical. Even though, she's been through a lot in her young life, she may not always make the best decisions.
I would not have minded an epilogue of these characters. The book hinted at Tatum going to college and that both Jacoby and Tatum wanted to leave the small Minnesota town, but I would have liked to see where they ended up and how they're living their life.
After reading the blurb of this book I knew I had to read it. Anything to do with angst, darkness and secrets is a book for me! We meet Tatum, who is a high school senior, emancipated from her druggie mother after an almost fatal overdose. She works fulltime as a CNA to pay for her apartment and food while finishing high school and taking post-secondary classes for college credit. She is broken, has never felt love and has a secret that no one, not even her best friend knows.
Jacoby also has a secret, well more like a past where something tragic happened and he is filled with remorse. Somehow they are drawn to each other like a moth to a flame, but it seems like it will only end in heartbreak.
I enjoyed reading this book, Tatum is strong, but she tries to hide her feelings and not let them out, or let anyone in. She just wants to move out of her crappy town, but after meeting Jacoby things don’t seem as bad, and she might not need her vice to cope. Jacoby just might be her savior and vice versa. There are some things not suited for young readers in this book, as well as a relationship that certain people will not agree with. I really enjoyed it, I believe in this story, and I think that their love is Indisputable. Maybe looking forward to reading more from them? One can hope!
A.M. sweets, I LOVE IT! What a wonderful debut!! Where is the next book, cause I need it like yesterday. Seriously, the feels.
Tatum has not had an easy road and at the young age of 17 she's already on her own. Her mother is a drug addict that has kept a revolving door of Johns and dealers since Tatum can remember. She's learned from her years neglect that there is no one in life you can depend on besides yourself, so when her mother almost OD's she goes before the judge to be emancipated. Tatum works a full time job as a CNA and has been pushing herself in school so she can graduate a semester early and take all post-secondary classes the last half of her senior year. After all, college is expensive and this way she won't have to pay for the classes. Things change though when her car breaks down. She has a "deal" worked out with Wyatt that works at the local mechanic shop, but when he's drunk and an unexpecting and caring individual stops, Tatum doesn't realize the way her future is about to change.
**I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest opinion.** I'm so happy I was given the opportunity to review this story. This debut novel is wonderfully written, pulling you into the characters lives immediately.
**SPOILERS** You feel for Tatum, knowing she is struggling with some demons, trying her best to get through everyday life by keeping herself guarded, only letting a few people into her inner circle. She meets the very handsome Jacoby Ryan while she is stranded on the side of the highway. Being the wonderful man he is, he offers to help her, which is where his attraction to her begins. Unbeknownst to either one of them, he is actually her teacher. This isn't your typical teacher/student infatuation. There are deep feelings developing on both sides, but can both of these characters overcome their pasts in order to connect with one another? Well, you'll just have to read it to find out.
