I liked this book, it was nothing like i thought it would be. The story surrounds the life of Mandy, a young woman who works in a department store and lives in a small apartment. She's out for justice to try and reclaim the home that she bought and shared with her Grand Father, little knowing that it was built on 'bad land'. Enter the the sexy flawless and cocky playboy type, Logan Maddox, one purchased suit and a tirade of sexy talking later, she is bowled over and a hot steamy affair begins, neither see it than more of a bit of fun as Logan is only in town for a few days! Six years after buying her home and no money later, she is waiting for her day in court to try and get justice and her money back from the Carters whose company she bought the house from. I don't want to give too much away or spoil it for other readers. Normally i would go for books that are a lot darker than this, but because of the story line it was more than your standard 'romp in the hay, boy meets girl' type yarn. The book is left on a cliffhanger and i have to say i would definitely buy book two. It's more than just a sexy romp it has a story to it that leaves you routing for the little guy! With only 125+, you can read this book in the blink of an eye and are finished before you know it. This is the second book i have read by D B Canavan, the first being 'Club Vietato'. I enjoyed both with 'Club Vietato' just pushing ahead in my rating. If you enjoy a hot sexy filled yarn with a good story line and a sexy alpha male, then this book is for you. If not then you have lost nothing! I always say It won't be to every ones taste, and this is only my opinion, but i liked it, a good solid four stars ;-)

Excellent book! I thoroughly enjoyed it! The author knows how to draw you in. I loved how the two lead characters are going against each other in the courtroom, but getting it on in the bedroom! If you like cocky male leads, you will find Logan facinating. Mandy is a wonderful yin to his yang. Opposing Council ends as a cliffhanger, which means that I will be starting the next one TONIGHT! Well written and carefully plotted! I look forward to more from DB Canavan!

This is one of those books that sucks you in and makes you keep turning the pages! I loved the heat that developed between Logan and Mandy... and knowing that something awful was about to happen to their sexy little bubble just added to the thrill.

This book is a great read. The developing romance of Mandy and Logan - set against a Legal backdrop - is tested over and over as author, DB Canavan, throws one problem after another at her characters. Will Mandy save her house? Will Logan turn out to be one of the good guys? Will Opal (nasty, nasty lady!) get what's coming to her? The characters come alive and want to tell their story, and the book keeps you turning the pages to find out what will happen.....and then it ends! Do not start reading 'Discovery' until you have 'Evidence' and 'Justice' ready to read, or you will be left with so many unanswered questions.

OMG! Why haven’t I read any books by this author until now. This book it is totally addictive and I'm so glad the whole trilogy is out to continue straight onto the next book. (I one-clicked before I’d even finished this one) The sex is smoldering burn up the pages hot.
