A Widow's Wife

Rate this book
Nate had found love with his first wife before she died, but now that a few years have passed, the pressure to “get back out there” and “be happy” is mounting. To help ease the worries of his family, he decides to get married again. He only has one rule: do not expect love from him.

Melody has been mostly on her own since she lost her parents years ago, so when she comes across an ad labeled “Wife Wanted”, she decides to take a chance. As crazy as it sounds, she can’t help but be drawn to Nate. Their physical chemistry certainly doesn’t hurt. Now she just has to keep her heart in check, but the deeper they go, the more her walls threaten to crumble.

Can they keep each other at arm's length while convincing everyone else that they’re in love?

This book rang true with the emotions we all feel but try so hard to hide from the world, but when seen makes us feel connected and not alone. For anybody who wants to feels "seen" and have some laughs along the way, this is the book for you!

Okay, this book is adorable and it’s actually funny! The ending left me sobbing. Her letter absolutely broke my heart, but it was so nice to see Nathaniel get the happy ending he deserved and for Mel to get her HEA also! This book was super cute and I loved it so much!

The concept was fine, but I wanted way more character development.
