Cael is an alpha who has no mate, and he isn’t looking for one. His heart forever belongs to his long lost childhood sweetheart. Years ago, her intended mate laid claim, ripping the two of them apart. Cael has never forgiven him for the injustice. Or her, for betraying him. But even with his bitterness riding him like a bad omen, he can’t look away while she is brutally mistreated. There’s only one thing to do: exact revenge on his enemy, and deal with the woman who betrayed him later.

Isabesh is in trouble. She’s played her last hand in her alpha mate’s game of control and now her brother might pay the cost. Vesh has been exiled for treason he didn’t commit, but he’ll be left alive as long as she cooperates. The problem is, cooperating means helping her mate wage a war on the man she gave her heart to as a wolfling, and his Ravendale pack. When word gets back to Ozarka that one of their own is the intended mate of the Ravendale alpha, Besh knows she’s running out of time to tell Cael the truth: that sometimes protection can look a whole lot like betrayal.

Weird take on a world with fated mates that ultimately isn’t for me. Hero and heroine were lovers for a time but then heroine’s fated mate shows up and takes her away. He’s an abusive asshole and tries to rape the heroine twice in the first chapters of the story. Thankfully both times are interrupted, but the scenes are still violent and pretty triggering.

So the heroine despises her fated mate and loves the hero. The hero also finds his fated mate too but rejects her because of his desire for the heroine. But it’s ok, because his FATED mate doesn’t want him either… 🤡

Neither have been celibate during the years long separation. She’s been getting raped on the regular by her mate and he’s hooked up “as needed” but not too often.

It’s just too much for me.

Not that A Mate's Denial was in any way bad, but it seems that each of P. Jameson's books seems to get better. I would warn that there is a scene toward the beginning of the book that could be a trigger for anyone with domestic violence or assault in their past. Jameson's characters are strong, getting over major issues quickly, maybe too quickly, but I try to think of it as the magic of mating. My biggest complaint would be that the books are too short, seemingly over almost as soon as they start. I look forward to more books in this series.

P. Jameson is a extraordinarily good author. She has taken a series of books and made them extraordinarily good. The plot of this book is to show that Cael was a strong and wise leader, even though some thought him to be mean because his one true love has jilted him.

Cael is the Alpha to the Ravendale wolf pack, and he doesn't have a mate. Thing is Cael isn't looking for a mate because he is in love with someone and that someone was his childhood sweetheart. Then one day she is taken from him and she did nothing to stop the other man from taking her. Cael learns that she is being brutally mistreated and he cannot leave her there, he has to go get her and take care of the brute mistreating her, and then he would deal with her later.

Isabesh is mated to a ruthless Alpha of the Ozark wolf pack who is abusing her and is ruthless in dealing with the pack She is going to play her last hand which could leave her brother Vesh alive since he has been exiled as a traitor and for a treason that he did not commit. Vesh will live as long as Isabesh cooperates with the Alpha.

This book will make you realize that Cael isn't a ruthless person, he is just running his pack wisely. You will get mad, you will cry, you will be happy, and all of these are signs of a book you need to read. Just make sure that you read the first two in the series to understand more about what is going on. You will not be disappointed.

The best yet.

Cael has no mate and is not looking for one he fell in love with Besh and she rejected him. It does not matter to him he still wants to save Besh from her mate. Nothing is as it seems sometimes. Cael will work with Vesh his newest pack member and Besh's brother. Help will arrive just in time as Besh's hated mate decides to force the issue of wanting young. This was my favorite yet. I could not put it down. It's great getting to know more about the characters from previous books.

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC !!!

So freaking fantastic! A Mate's Revenge is the third book in the Ozark Mountain Shifters series by P. Jameson and it totally rocks! I have followed this series from the very first book and have loved each and every one. The stories have all been exciting, original, powerful, compelling, thrilling, romantic, heartwarming, endearing, arousing and steamy. The dialog is always smart, snappy and very well written. Throughout all three books, the characters have been fascinating, captivating, well developed and sexy. The characters have become as familiar as friends and family. In this book, Cael, alpha of Ravendale Pack, is finally able to seek revenge against Jax, the evil alpha of his former pack, Ozarka. But will he be too late to rescue his former love, Besh? Will he ever be able to forgive her betrayal? Will Trager and Vesh, also former members of the Ozarka Pack, find happiness with their mates with Ravendale? Can the scars and pain be healed by love? I guess we'll just have to ask little Stella! Sexy alpha wolves-check! Beautiful sassy mates-check! Romance, angst and steamy love scenes-check! Yeah Baby! Now, we just have to hear more about Lexar and Avan! Yes - maybe? That would be a wild ride! Fantastic entertainment and an awesome read!

The h was mated to an evil Alpha. The H believed she betrayed their teenage love. He's coerced into rescuing her and is horrified when he sees her abuse. I loved their angsty romance. The H forgives her and himself as nothing could be changed. It's a satisfying story. She was so determined to survive, believing she would not a HEA. I liked how she outwitted the evil OM.

Wow need a story to show the true meaning of the real sacrifice for the sake of love, this is the story!

Cael against all odds imaginable, fights for true love. To bond & give your heart to another even if the publicly betrayed you and still sacrifice ever to save them....it's a wow moment. The horror in the story is difficult to witness, but just as important to hold hope, faith & love and forgiveness is priceless! Leaves or best for short has made a deal with the devil most of her life, her mother to protect her brother and her Alpha to protect her true love. This journey highly suspenseful, fast paced & addicted you won't won't to stop until the last page!

Not my favorite couple. Cael is an alpha who has a mate, but he's never gone after her because he's still in love with his childhood sweetheart Besh. She suffered at the hands of her mother and the alpha her mother sold her to. It's sad to read about, and she lost the fire from living in abusive conditions too for long. It's nice that they are together again, but it's just a different read that a wolf can easily ignore their intended mate and decide to bond with another instead.

Interesting

The only reason I'm not giving this 5 stars is because it was told as a story to a child, but some of the scenes were super sexy. Now at the end it suggests the child wasn't given the full story, but that didn't stop me from being bothered throughout. I did like the way they wrote as a story because the author did a great job and only had a few breaks. This just was too racy for it to sit right with that going on.
Excellent characters and drama as usual!

OMG! Talk about the feelers out in full force! This one is super heavy on the drama, but not in a drag you down kind of way. It’s the life drama that makes the sweet side of life all the more awesome because of the hell you crawled out from. It’s a never give up on you love or life book. Thru all the heartfelt drama, I really did weep, and enjoy this book!

Great story

I love this series. The only reason I didn't give5 stars is that one aspect was creepy. When you tell the story as if a mother it's telling it to her 5 year old daughter, leave out the sexy scenes. I don't typically have issue with sex scenes in PNR books, but the inclusion of the bedtime story plot device was too much ick factor for me.

Everything and more

I was waiting for this story since reading the first. Hoping this couple would get their story. Glad I was not disappointed at all. Even the tidbits from previous characters was more than I could have asked for.

Cael had grown up and falling in love with besh. But when alpha has wants her he makes a deal with her to banish cael but he could live if besh tells the elders she choose had. This devastate cael so he leaves and becomes alpha and the clan ravendale. When vesh gets banished from the Ozark clan that his sister is in he goes to cael and tells him how bad best is being treated. Cael saves her and reclaims her upset that she denied him 17 years ago and when he finds out why he so wants revenge. Great series must read entire series. Will love it.

This book is my fave in the series. Isa endured a harsh reality to protect the ones she loves, but Cael couldn't know what was really going on until much later. He forgave her being the only one to help her now that she was free.
What I dig most is these two are not fated mates, but their love is stronger as if they were.
