Rate this book
A snowboarder with nothing to lose.

A photographer with something to prove.

A deal that takes them to new heights.

Hannah St. Pierre has sworn off men for good. After her last relationship went up in flames thanks to her new PCOS diagnosis, she's decided to focus on her health and growing her photography business in the heart of Boston. When her best friend Maya asks for help saving her family's ski resort in Vermont, Hannah packs her bags for a week of photography, snow, and fun.

What she didn't plan on? Noah Hart-the arrogant, hot as sin, two-time-Olympian she's meant to work with to put Snowy Peak back on the map. Except he seems to want nothing more than to get in her way and pester her at every turn.

When he's injured during practice, the two strike a deal: Hannah helps him get ready for the resort's New Year showcase, and he helps her unwind by any means necessary. As the clock ticks down and the line they drew in the snow starts to blur, they're both left wondering if they're ready to leave cloud nine...

⤿ before going into this review, i just want to apologize to my besties for not enjoying this book. i promise i wanted to.. but it just didn’t work out for me. the premise was perfect — a snowboarder & photographer romance, a snowy inn setting, and a man down bad for his partner? i was already drooling. but somehow, this disappointed me.

the characters ꩜。⋆.

hannah rose st. pierre ᝰ⋆ such a beautiful name for a beautiful character 🥹💙 she was definitely my favorite part of the book ── brave, strong, and stands-on-business are the perfect words to describe her. going through what she had to go through, she was incredibly mature and aware; her ex, Liam, was one of the shittest side characters i’ve ever read about in a book ── some of the things he said genuinely made my blood boil and forced me to put down the book, due to how outrageous and misogynistic they were. she never blew up once, and instead threw the wittiest insults at him. all of my friends who have read this book seems to have loved her, and i wholeheartedly understand why.

noah hart ᝰ⋆ i already buckled myself up for his character when our first pov from him was him jerking off to the fmc after he met her for the first time 😭 he was the biggest asshole up until maybe 45% of the way through the book — not grumpy, but a full on asshole. his backstory is sad, but it’s definitely not a reason to be treating anyone like that, especially someone that was completely uninvolved in the situation. MIND YOU, he’s the one who constantly went up to her and decided to be an asshole to her, instead of leaving her alone. immature men always piss me off.

༄˖ the relationship. it was purely physical. i didn’t feel any emotional connection at all between the two characters. so many of their moments together were just hooking up, and obviously, that doesn’t create a strong connection. they maybe had like 3 real conversations with each other throughout the entire book. i saw the vision clearly (i mean, snowboarder x photographer?!?), but it didn’t deliver what it was supposed to.

𖧷˖ ── overall, i would recommend if you just want a quick and entertaining read ❄️! it wasn’t all bad, this was very entertaining and the ending was adorable. i’m very hopeful for the next book, especially because it involves henry 🤭

thank you to netgalley and the author for a chance to read this book! i appreciate it immensely 💙🏂🏻📹

and lastly, but certainly not least, thank you so, so much to my best girls kella & yoanna for reading this book with me 🩵 i had the best time ranting about this book with you both 🥹🫂 i love you both more than i'll ever be able to express 💫

first amanda sinatra book—and i can already tell i’ll be picking up more of her work. this book was so easy to read, especially with the short chapters, and i genuinely didn’t realize i was already halfway through until i checked. i devoured this in no time, and i’m not exaggerating when i say it completely pulled me out of my reading slump. this was exactly the kind of fun, fast-paced read i needed.

honestly, if you’ve been looking for a sign to request this on netgalley—this is it. take my review as your green light and start reading 🥰✨💗

୨ৎ hannah. pcos representation!!!! i loved seeing that included in the story—it felt meaningful and validating. she’s also so good at banter; my girl does not back down. i really admired how passionate she is, especially when it comes to the things she cares about. you can tell that when something truly matters to her, she’ll go out of her way to fight for it, protect it, or prove it—and i loved that energy.

୨ৎ noah. his first chapter was crazy—iykyk 😭 this man is definitely… bold. but jokes aside, what he went through was genuinely traumatizing, and i honestly don’t blame him for being scared of commitment. his hesitation made sense in context, and it added depth to his character beyond the surface-level humor and attraction.

moreover, hannah and maya’s friendship was such a highlight—it added warmth, humor, and heart to the entire story. as well as mark, taylor, cody, and noah’s friendship. you can see that they’re simply not just a team who plays for the olympics. they’re brothers and they really look out for each other.

this is easily one of the most readable books i’ve picked up in a while. the chapters are short, the pacing is quick, and it’s the kind of story that makes you lose track of time because it’s just that easy to binge. truly a slump-breaker—life is good, y’all.

i also appreciated the message about trust. this book highlights how important it is to be careful about who you let into your life, because you never really know what someone else might be hiding. it’s a sad reality, but a real one—and i liked how the story didn’t shy away from that.
the ending did feel a little rushed, but not in a way that ruined the experience for me. it was more of a minor flaw than a dealbreaker. if anything, it just made me want a little more time with the characters..

another strong message in this book, though, is about self-worth—especially in relation to hannah’s pcos. it really drives home the point that no one should be made to feel ashamed over something they never chose in the first place. women deserve grace, empathy, and understanding. we don’t choose our diagnoses—we simply do our best to live with them.

lastly, can we talk about maya’s book snippet???? I AM SEATED. the tension is already there, and i’m so excited for her book.

Thank you to NetGalley, Victory Editing, and the author for the ARC in exchange of my honest review.

From the moment he called her 'Red,' I should have known that book wasn't for me. It's not the nickname itself—it's that when an MMC gives an FMC a color-based nickname, the story always misses the mark for me. Cuz what are you even doing, writing about an insecure woman in a romance story that lacks depth?!

there are truly so many loveable things about this book. the ski resort setting was perfect. as someone who has never read a snowboarding romance but has always taken interest in the sport, this delivered exactly what I wanted. it was cozy and fun and so easy to imagine the gorgeous Vermont scenery.

the PCOS rep was incredible. I have seen first hand the way PCOS can make someones life so much harder so I really do appreciate how real and raw the rep was within Hannah's character. also, the side characters?! so cute! I loved meeting the olympic team and Hannah's best friend, Maya and her parents.

I did feel like the pacing got rushed towards the middle and end of the book but, I loved how short the chapters were throughout; it made for a quick and easy read.

⋆.📷˚ hannah st. pierre
I love this girl so much and I knew I would from the moment I met her where we meet her in her messy apartment and we quickly learn about her diagnosis. her character was just so real and that's so comforting for me. when I started learning about her past relationship and the way she was treated in it... I was ready to throw. hands. she deserves the world. and she is such an inspiration in the way that she just does her thing, pushes through life even when it gets tough and isn't scared to be real.

⋆.🏂˚ noah hart
my thoughts about this man for the first chunk of this book was that he was a little shit. Hannah was so valid in having her little spur of hatred for him. but just like Hannah, I did really warm up to him. he too was treated terribly in his past relationship, making him build these walls up so he couldn't be hurt again so, I get it. I can kind of understand why he was the way he was but still, little shit at first.

⋆.💋˚ hannah+noah
oh they're excellent together. definition of they deserve to be together, in the absolute best way ever. they understand where each others insecurities fall and they're gentle and understanding about it, careful not to push the others limits. I'm very excited to see the cameo's of these two in Maya's book!

one little "problem" I had with these two is how fast they said "I love you." while I don't need a romance to be a slow-burn, it was just too fast-paced for me to fully believe their love at the end and give me that really giddy feeling when they did say it. I think the book took place over a week? or maybe a bit longer? but don't get me wrong, once I read that final chapter I was giggling and kicking my feet. 🥹

‎⋮ ₊˚ ❆ overall
this was one of those books that are just so fun and will have you giggling often. I definitely recommend anyone who wants to pick this one up, to do so. you may find a new favourite fmc or mmc from it and you'll definitely be in for a fun time with these two.

‎ ‎ to those who loved this arc, please let me take this moment to offer up my formal apology. while i can absolutely see its appeal, this was not the one for me.

‎ ‎ starting on a positive, i loved the setting. you really cannot go wrong with a christmassy ski resort—it started to rekindle my festive feelings and we’re already in february. i just wish the rest of the book lived up to the same standard.

‎ ‎ the romance… eeeeekk. yes, the final 10% was cute. yes, he got on his knees for her. but good grief, the amount of lust made even me hot and bothered, and not in the good way. the spice was okay, i guess, and the book definitely had its moments, but the writing style in general didn’t mesh well with me. i just don’t think this was my match.

‎ ‎ however!! the pcos rep in this was stunning. the unfiltered dialogue surrounding it was really well handled, and was so refreshing to see. that alone gives it a rating boost.

‎ ‎ ‎ ➠ noah hart .ᐟ
‎ ‎ i really wish i felt as strongly about noah as i do about hannah. he did eventually start acting like a respectable love interest, but boy was he absolutely insufferable throughout the first 50% of this book. i should’ve known what kind of guy he’d be—the first sentence from his pov occurs while he’s receiving oral, and every comment regarding the fmc in the following chapters centre almost solely around his dick. swoon, am i right? to give him some credit, he did get on his knees. anyone who truly knows me knows i love a pathetic grovelling man.

‎ ‎ ᯓ divorce .ᐣ
‎ ‎ ‎ surprisingly not. end-of-book noah was actually tolerable. i think he and hannah are pretty locked in.

╰┈➤ my first read of february wasn’t a success, but that’s okay… i think this book started off way too fast for my liking. i kind of felt that the author was trying to cram everything in the beginning (considering there’s 71 short chapters). there were still aspect of the book that were cute and fun, but there were also many things that didn’t appeal to me. i loved the setting a lot and it just reignited my interest in learning how to snowboard.

╰┈➤ i think hannah was a good character. before starting this book, i had no idea what PCOS was, so i think learning about that through hannah and seeing the struggles that people with PCOS go through, is really something that really opened my eyes. i was so enraged by the way her ex treated her and belittled her just for having PCOS. her character definitely had more depth to it and i feel like we really got to know her more throughout the book.

╰┈➤ noah kinda grew on me… but not by much. his first pov really just shocked me and i didn’t expect it. i wish there was a little bit more conflict surrounding his backstory, but it kinda felt brushed past ⚠️❗️(i’m talking about when he saw his ex and his ex best friend again and they literally didn’t ever “reunite”)⚠️❗️i liked how he thought about hannah though, so that’s something positive.

i think hannah and noah together are a good couple. separately, they’re definitely something…and noah is kinda a dick when he’s by himself. i honestly didn’t really feel that there was any major chemistry between them. if anything, it was more physical and transactional. i don’t like when the characters i read about are all about lust and don’t have an emotional connection. the only thing that really clicked between them was the trouble of their exes. the ending was somewhat cute though so that’s why this is a 2.75 rating instead of a 2.25 or a 2.5.

⤿ ⓘ book 9 of 2026

‧₊˚ ┊summary and thoughts

cloud nine follows hannah, who is invited to her best friend maya’s parents’ cabin to help with publicity for the property. what starts as a simple project quickly turns serious when hannah learns the place is facing closure. since the cabin has always been a second home to both hannah and maya, they’re determined to save it. their solution? hosting an event and inviting an olympic-level snowboarding team to boost attention and publicity. while hannah helps with photography, she finds herself constantly clashing with noah, the team’s playboy captain. what begins as rivals quickly turns into something more complicated—a friends-with-benefits arrangement that helps hannah manage her anxiety while allowing noah to work through his own mental block.

wow okay, i haven’t devoured a book like this in so long, and in a single day?! i loved the vibes of this book, and the rivals-to-lovers dynamic was easily my favorite part. the tension, the banter, the slow shift into something more had me hooked from the start.

another reason why this story meant so much to me was the pcos representation. as someone who was diagnosed two years ago, it can be really hard to understand what’s happening to your body and feel seen at the same time. seeing it acknowledged with care and honesty made this book feel even more meaningful, and it added an emotional layer that truly stayed with me.

── .✦ characters 𓂃˖ ࣪⊹

‧₊˚ ┊hannah st. pierre
i loved her character so much. from being fierce and independent to carrying so much quietly inside her, she felt incredibly real. the way her pcos was represented genuinely made me cry, because everyone deserves someone who can truly show them that they are worthy of love. i’m so glad she was able to find that kind of safety and understanding with noah. and not only that, she had such an amazing best friend in maya, the kind who would burn the world down for her if anything went wrong. and of course, can we talk about how shitty her ex was? truly glad that man is out of her life, because she is absolutely thriving with noah, exactly where she deserves to be.

‧₊˚ ┊noah hart
this man?! i genuinely have no words. he comes off as a “playboy” to the media, but beneath that image, he’s clearly hurting. seeing his ex and his best friend together after they cheated on him was heartbreaking, and you can feel how deeply that betrayal affected him. but i’m so glad he allowed himself to move on and heal. and can we talk about how he was down bad for hannah the minute he saw her?? it was so obvious, so soft, and honestly so cute. the way he showed up for her, understood her, and cared without hesitation made him impossible not to love 😮‍💨

‧₊˚ ┊hannah + noah
their dynamic was genuinely so good. the way they showed up for each other when they needed someone the most was so comforting to read. noah helped hannah build her confidence and truly feel worthy, while hannah helped noah work through the mental block he had with snowboarding. their relationship felt balanced, supportive, and rooted in growth, which made their connection even more adorable and meaningful.

── .✦ quotes 𓂃˖ ࣪⊹

It’s been a little over a year since my diagnosis of PCOS. A diagnosis I had a hard time accepting until it was everywhere on social media, with people trying to sell supplements. Because nothing makes it more legitimate than Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome being added to your health history on your medical records, laughing at you. From skipped periods to painful ones, along with an unexplained, extreme thirst for water, right down to excessive body hair, it all makes sense after a series of blood tests were run two summers ago.

She’s a force to be reckoned with, and I’m not afraid to shift the tide to get what I want.

“Your body is a fucking temple, Red. I’m ready to worship it.”

“Would it make you feel better if I crawl to you, Red? To show you that you’re the one who holds all the power here?”

“Noah, you were right. I’ve always believed in you. Since the beginning, when we hated each other, I never doubted you could do it.”

Hannah is a religion I’ll gladly worship, day in and day out. I’ll kneel for her on jagged rocks if it means I can spend every waking moment and from sunrise to nightfall.

my expectations were really high for this one because all of my besties have been loving it but i didn’t really enjoy this one…

let me start off by saying i loved the premise and the setting so much!!! i love the snow and to ski, so this one immediately interested me and i thought i was gonna love it!

i just really hated noah😭 like honestly he sucked. he was mean in a “he is such a dick” way not a “he is grumpy and needs his sunshine” kind of way… he was just such a jerk and i never got over it🫣

hannah was so sweet and i loved the pcos rep! i think she was such a strong fmc and i really enjoyed her story and seeing her personal battle with self esteem and how she overcame so many hurdles!

it was just so hard to support this relationship when i absolutely despised the mmc🙃

omg this was so so cute!! i ended up really loving hannah, and (after a bit of convincing...) noah too! ♡

⋆。°✩ 𝒑𝒍𝒐𝒕

aside from the ending feeling a little rushed, i really enjoyed the plot of cloud nine! the romance was so sweet, and while some of the writing was a little cringe -- let's be real, it's a romance novel, it's meant to be a little cringe sometimes -- i really did eat this up! it was very readable, and i'm genuinely so excited to see how the next books in this series turn out 🤭🤭

also, the grand gesture scene was so cuteeee ahhh 😭😭 i loveeee noah and hannah together <3

hannah was such a cutie!! i absolutely ADORED the representation she brought to the story. i barely knew anything about PCOS before i read this book, but now i feel educated 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️

also her and maya's friendship was SO realistic omg 😭 the tough love and their quips were so funny, it felt like such a sisterly relationship <3

𝘯𝘰𝘢𝘩 ⭑.ᐟ 🏂

i didn't really like noah at first, he just seemed really insta-lusty towards hannah. he was pretty irritating sometimes, but OMG when he started getting on his knees and begging.

i was GAGGED. this is a beautifully pathetic man, and i kind of love him for that.

but also, why didn't he distance himself from cassy? like he was just standing there like a wet noodle letting her flirt with him, staring hannah down as if that explained anything. like omg, get UPPP noah 😭

⋆。°✩ 𝒇𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒔

i really did enjoy this book! it was super cute, JUST AS CUTE AS THE COVER TOO, LIKE HELLO?! i'm in loveee with it! xx really intrigued for the next book hehehe 🤭

If you saw my initial rating of a 4.25/5 before... no, you didn't. I usually don't wait this long in between me finishing an ARC and writing the review unless I'm super busy or whatever the case may be going on in my life, but there was something that didn't fully sit right with me about how I truly felt. On one hand, I loved some aspects of the story, but on the other hand, I truly despised other elements of it to the point where I debated with myself for a long time on whether or not it affected my enjoyment of the story and if the good outweighed the bad. Yes, there was a scene in it that made me tear up because it was just so emotional and heartfelt, but I think after some reflection, the more I think that the elements of the story that I didn't like are worth discussing and bringing up in my review because it did affect my enjoyment overall.

Hannah St. Pierre is a rising photographer. As much as she photographs weddings and engagements, she's sworn off love for good after her last boyfriend broke her heart following her PCOS diagnosis. When her best friend, Maya, asks her to come visit her family's Snowy Peak Resort to take photographs in an attempt to save the business before it shuts down for good, Hannah can't say no, especially since she spent a lot of time there growing up and snowboarding. Enter Noah Hart, 2-time gold-medal Olympian and playboy, whose definition of a good time is getting under someone else. When his team makes a pitstop at Snowy Peak to do a showcase there, he and Hannah are constantly butting heads: he just wants to get out there, Hannah wants to help save the resort. When Noah gets injured and gets the "twisties," Hannah is forced to help him get back on track.

First off, I love the PCOS rep with Hannah. While I don't struggle with PCOS myself, I can feel the pain and the struggles that Hannah goes through with watching what she eats, her hygiene routine, and the body image struggles she has throughout the story. My heart broke for her when we got to learn more about her past relationship with her ex (which I'm not even going to name by name because he's the scum of the earth and doesn't deserve that) and the amount of emotional and mental abuse he put her through, all because of a PCOS diagnosis. Seriously, I have never wanted to punch a fictional character so badly for everything he put her through.

I also loved the Winter Olympics aspect of the story! It was the perfect book to read leading up to the Olympics starting, and even though the events take place after, I did like how it focused on another popular sport, but not-so-much within the sports romance subgenre: snowboarding. I feel like we're all so caught up in hockey and ice dance/figure skating for winter sports that we forget that there's a ton of other sports out there that deserve just as much love: snowboarding, skiing, speed skating, luge, and more. Maybe one day we'll get more sports romances about some of these other sports, but this is okay for now, haha.

Another thing I loved was how the enemies-to-lovers trope was executed here. I truly believe that this was one of those rare scenarios where this was a true enemies-to-lovers trope done well. It wasn't "enemies-who-lowkey-wanted-each-other-at-first-sight-turned-lovers," it was GENUINELY enemies-to-lovers. They clashed from their very first interaction and kept clashing for a while; I almost thought that they were never going to get to the "lovers" part for a good chunk of the book haha. It made for some fantastic banter, and there were so many moments where I just burst out laughing while reading. It made the "lovers" aspect of the story so much more meaningful, knowing that the MCs actually started out hating each other.

The found family aspect was also a lot of fun, and as much as I don't like classifying a book by its tropes, I must say that the found family trope is one of my favorites. I love how Hannah got along with all of Noah's teammates, and they instantly welcomed her, even if Noah wasn't one of those people to warm up to her immediately after meeting her. Even Maya got along with his teammates, and it was just so fun to see all of them interact with each other and bond.

I took off 1.5 stars for these specific things; one of which is a little more critical than the other, but you'll see what I mean:

. ݁₊ ⊹ Noah: Okay, so I have conflicting feelings on Noah. On one hand, he drove me NUTS the first 30-40% of the story. I'm sure a lot of people can agree with me on this, but he was just a massive a-hole to everyone, not just Hannah, at the beginning of the book. This isn't a major spoiler for anything, but the first chapter from his POV is literally him hooking up with a girl. In fact, a few of the first chapters we get from his POV are of him being horny or hooking up with a girl. He was cocky, arrogant, and honestly, if he were real, I'd probably end up fighting him, and I could see how Hannah didn't like him at all. However, he does have some decent character development as the story progresses so I can give him props for that, but I think what bothered me the most was that it was almost too little, too late.

. ݁₊ ⊹ Noah and Hannah's relationship: I can kind of see the good and the bad in this, too. On one hand, I absolutely loved how Noah grew to love Hannah just the way she is. He made her feel loved and cared for, and allowed her to be in her own body and love it despite her PCOS diagnosis. She challenged him to be a better athlete and a better man in return. However, I felt like there wasn't enough chemistry between the two of them. Yes, their relationship was built to be entirely transactional, and aside from some spicy scenes here and there, I couldn't really tell that they were head over heels for each other or falling for each other throughout the book—it just felt like their relationship was solely based on sex and nothing else.

I'm sure that a lot of it ended up happening off-page, and we just had to assume that's what ended up happening. I'm pretty sure at some point they acknowledged they were just going to be friends with benefits, but I didn't fully buy into the idea that they were head over heels for each other. I think for me personally, I need to see the characters interact more and bond with each other on-page that doesn't solely involve physical chemistry in order for me to feel like they have good chemistry entirely. I know some people may think otherwise, but that's just how I feel.

Overall, this was a super cute story and I liked it, but there were some bad things that outweighed the good. I truly enjoyed the writing style and how fast of a read this was! I can't wait to see what Amanda Sinatra has in store next for the Snowy Peak series (MAYA!!!! I can't wait for her story- she's a firecracker of a character and I love her already!)
. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖ . ݁ ᨒ↟ 𖠰 . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖ . ݁ ᨒ↟ 𖠰 . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖ . ݁ ᨒ↟ 𖠰 . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖ . ݁ ᨒ↟ 𖠰 . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖ . ݁ ᨒ↟ 𖠰 . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖ . ݁ ᨒ↟ 𖠰
Trigger/content warnings: sexual content (1.5-1.75/5 on my personal spice scale, but obviously this may vary from person to person), recalled past emotional abuse and mental abuse from a former romantic partner, recounted cheating (the MCs don't cheat), alcohol consumption

⋅˚₊‧ ୨ 𝒫𝓇𝑒-𝓇𝑒𝒶𝒹: ୧ ‧₊˚ ⋅ I'm SO excited to read this. I haven't read a snowboarding romance before, so this will definitely be fun leading up to the Winter Olympics!❄️🏂

this book is so cute! i genuinely enjoyed the plot, i adored the representation of PCOS. i have a friend who struggles with that and reading it was nice to see. hannah is a very strong fmc, i loooove how feisty she is. noah.. it took me quite some time to get used to him but he did have character development which is refreshing.

hannah and noah together? ugh let me just go sob in the corner because of how CUTE they are together.

i'm SUPER excited for the next book to come out. maya is such an amazing friend and their friendship is iconic. i'd love to get to read more about her.

⤿ loved seeing snowboarding in a romance

⋆˚࿔ my thoughts
hmm so this was a decent read that was easy to get through and kept me mostly entertained. i liked the ski resort setting and seeing snowboarding in action was pretty cool to see. as a skier, i’ve always admired snowboarders 🙂‍↕️

however, this book felt like it was lacking some depth, which made me unable to fully connect to the story. although the main characters’ banter was fun, their connection felt rushed, relatively surface level + lust-driven, making their romance seem not as believable to me. also, there was an unnecessary amount of spice imo—they kept going at it every 5 minutes, i promise 😭

⋆˚࿔ characters
📸 hannah st. pierre
i loved our fmc hannah and the pcos representation 🥹 she was so strong, especially for what she went through with her ex (i wanted to punch that man so bad). i’m so glad that she slowly overcame her insecurities 🫶

🏂 noah hart
it took me a while to warm up to noah, who was an asshole the first half of the book. ig it was interesting that he had a “playboy” exterior when really it was a coping mechanism for his past relationship. but that’s no excuse to treat another person bad because of it 😚
also the nickname “red”? seriously? because of her hair colour—like could you be any more basic lol. towards the end, he got a bit better, though he wasn’t necessarily my fav. but i like how he appreciated hannah just the way she was <3

i also liked hannah’s best friend, maya, she was pretty funny!

(just a reminder to anyone who might need it: you are soso beautiful just as you are 🩷)

⋆˚࿔ overall, this was an enjoyable, easy-to-get-through read, but it didn’t really stick out to me too much. i was hoping this would be a new fav, but it was just alright in my opinion.

⊹ i want to thank my bffs vee & yoanna for reading this with me !! ily both so much and chatting with you two made this experience so much more special 🥹🫂🤍

yea, this gets a resounding ABSOLUTELY NOT from me.. the first pov chapter from Noah set the tone and it was not and never will be pleasant. Hannah is fine but she’s more tolerable than anything bc everyone else is the worst, so can’t really say that’s a compliment? also, Maya was truly driving me up the wall & it was very annoying how much she mentioned “gift card dude” .. like girl, at this point you’re the obsessed one & that’s not a cute look. i already don’t like this, so i quit bye.

thanks to NetGalley the author and Victory Editing Co-op for the arc, all opinions are my own.

: ̗̀➛ Post-reading:
Going into this as someone who loves snowboarding, taking photos, was called Anna banana throughout my whole childhood AND is a red head (although dyed lol), this was supposed to be MY BOOK 😭😭

I’m genuinely so disappointed ˙◠˙

.ᐟ.ᐟ But before I continue - if you loved this, I truly wish I’d had the same experience. I went in so excited and fully ready to love this story, sadly it just wasn't for me❤️‍🩹

· · ─ · 𝜗𝜚 · ─ · ·

The premise for this was what sold me immediately.
‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ᯓ➤ A snowboarding romance? Like yes, im so sat for this! 💗

However, the character dynamics lost me pretty early on.

· · ─ · 𝜗𝜚 · ─ · ·

Starting Noah’s first chapter the way it did definitely established who he was, but this type of MMC just doesn't work for me. I’m not a fan of the playboy façade trope, especially when I’m here being all excited and rooting for the FMC and MMC to get together. This is of course a me thing, but nevertheless, it affected my opinion on Noah pretty early on.

On top of that, it wasn’t just how he was introduced that put me off, but how he continued to act throughout most of the book. I really struggled with the way he treated Hannah. Like I love me some grumpy-MMC, but this was not the case here.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ᯓ➤ When a love interest spends most of the story being hurtful or emotionally immature, it makes it really hard for me to believe in the relationship. And while what happened to Noah was absolutely heartbreaking, it still does not justify how he treated Hannah, who ultimately took the brunt of it all.

By the time he started acting decent towards her, I was already so disconnected from their romance.

Furthermore, so many of their interactions were focused on physical attraction rather than any real & raw emotional connection between them. Because of that, I found it hard to understand what actually drew them to each other beyond their sexual tension. I personally needed more emotional depth and development to truly believe in their infatuation. With so much of Noah’s POV centred on his “sexual” thoughts towards Hannah, their bond never felt fully convincing to me.

· · ─ · 𝜗𝜚 · ─ · ·

At times, some of the characters’ behavior felt exaggerated and immature, which made it very difficult for me to take certain scenes seriously (im looking at you Maya cus what do you mean she ). Maybe im taking that scene too seriously but damn, it did for sure take me out of the book 😔

Not to mention the pacing was off so many times. It completely took me out of the story cus I got so confused thinking I’d skipped a whole paragraph but nope, apparently, we’re just zooming through!

· · ─ · 𝜗𝜚 · ─ · ·

Like I actually loooove the concept and I wanted this to work so badly.

Overall, this just wasn’t the right fit for me, though I can absolutely see others enjoying this more than I did.

Many thanks to NetGalley, Amanda Sinatra & Victory Editing for the eARC in exchange for an honest review. ⋆˙⟡

I don’t come across many winter sports romances, and the mountain atmosphere added something different to the typical romance novel backdrop. The author clearly knows the sport, which made those scenes feel authentic.

Hannah’s character arc was compelling. Watching her navigate her health journey while pursuing her passion felt genuine, and I appreciated how the book handled PCOS representation without making it her entire personality. She had depth beyond her diagnosis.

Noah grew on me. I’ll admit, his initial approach to Hannah rubbed me the wrong way a bit too forward, a bit too persistent. But as the story unfolded, his vulnerability showed through, and I started understanding his actions better. Their chemistry was undeniable once they got past the initial awkwardness.

Where the book lost me a bit was the pacing. The middle section dragged somewhat, and I found myself skimming a few parts. The ending also wrapped up faster than I would have liked some conflicts resolved almost too easily.

Thank you to Amanda Sinatra and NetGalley for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Stop it, this was such an adorable read!!

For the past few days, I've been seeing a lot of hype around this book, as well as being intrigued when I came across it on NetGalley; so I decided to request the arc. The cover already had me hooked, and the synopsis promised the perfect amount of sweet and spicy. A rollercoaster of emotions. And boy, oh boy, did it have all those things.

We follow two characters, Noah and Hannah, who have previously been hurt and betrayed by someone they loved dearly. One chooses to only have no-strings-attached, while the other swears off all dating–and men. They come together as two broken souls with shattered hearts, searching for something casual. Both characters too scared to trust another person due to their painful pasts; their freshly healed wounds still tender. It starts off as a way to blow off steam, release stress and anxiety. Until it turns into something more; when the dreaded feelings get involved, complicating everything. Cloud Nine demonstrates the perfect example of what it’s like to bounce back after hitting rock bottom. It shows us all about the curveballs life throws at us, whether it’s an unexpected illness or a shocking heartbreak not seen from a mile away. There’s personal healing, growth, and acceptance of who they are. The walls enclosing Noah and Hannah’s hearts slowly chipping away to reveal their true selves behind the facade used to protect them from getting hurt again.

I must say, I was really scared this was going to be a disappointing read. From all the high reviews people have given this book recently, I went in expecting an instant 5 stars with perfect plot, romance, and atmosphere. It was not, sadly. The first half was okay to say the least. Noah was a bit unbearable, and I can't quite put my finger on it, but there was something that made me not like it. Whether it was the insta-lust, annoying mmc, maybe the plot hadn’t fully developed and I was bored? However, at around 45% I was really invested. Everything was coming together. There was juicy drama, hilarious friendships, a few twists that were very much unexpected, and LOTS of crying from my end. It definitely redeemed itself by the second half. One thing I can say I loved throughout the whole book was the cozy vibes. Hot chocolates, christmas decorations, fresh snow and warm clothes. I've also never read a snowboarding romance, and it was interesting to learn about 'twisties' and all the tricks they do. Even with the dictionary at the start, I still struggled to understand what they were doing, but it didn't necessarily take out the fun of reading the book.

The PCOS representation was executed so perfectly. We got to see everything that comes with the illness: the insecurities, physical changes, self-deprecation, and toll it takes on one's mental health. I did read a book recently that had an fmc with PCOS, but the way this was written taught me so much more about it. Although I don’t have this and can’t relate, I felt Hannah’s pain and self-consciousness like it was my own. She was so strong, trying to hold it all together while dealing with the shit life handed her, as well as the lingering trauma from her past.

I adore books like these, where characters connect and find solace in each other. The understanding Noah and Hannah had was beautiful, and you could tell how deep those feelings ran. For something as simple as ‘just sex’ to then blossom into a love so heart-warming it felt like a hug. To see the connection of two guarded people, learning to love and trust again, bonding through their shared pain truly was touching. These characters have been hurt in unspeakable ways, and yet they found it in themselves to change and heal for each other, give love one more go and hope for the best that they don’t get hurt again. I do just want to point out that most of their relationship was lust-driven and felt super rushed towards the end. In my opinion, it was way too early to confess your love for someone you only met a few weeks ago and very much disliked. Even though I did enjoy the ending and adored how they connected from their shared trauma/heartbreak, you could clearly tell most of their relationship was built on lust and physical attraction before it turned into something more.

Although it wasn’t perfect, I am really glad I got to read Cloud Nine and meet these people. To say I’m excited about the second book is an understatement. Maya is the most hilarious, goofy best friend and I can’t wait to follow along on her journey. And maybe see a little more of Noah and Hannah…

is this sometimes cringey? yes. did i end up loving it? also yes.

cloud nine is a quick, fun read and what a time to release it during the olympics! i loved immersing myself in the world of this sport, feeling the intensity of it and getting more familiar with the jumps, tricks and difficulties that come with it. the book pulls you in easily, so setting is something the author managed to do well!

going through the journey with hannah is truly an experience. i wasn’t familiar with PCOS, but i’m glad the author explained the diagnosis well and showed us how it can affect a person. it’s not something that is quickly mentioned in the book and then forgotten, and i appreciate that. not only do we understand how hurt hannah is from her past relationship, but also how deeply it messes with her head. the journey of coming out of her shelf with noah is so amazing, i found myself smiling so hard when she finally started feeling comfortable.

noah is far from perfect and it takes some time getting used to him. the more you get to know him, the more you start liking him. but i won’t lie that i hated him at the beginning. of course there’s that first pov of his which i think we could have survived without it being so descriptive, but he truly is horrible in the first 40-50% of the book. once his relationship with hannah deepens, he shows he’s actually a great man. but i wish we got more of his feelings. it felt like some things were brushed aside and his povs were often rushed. i wish we got more, it’s definitely a miss to his redemption arc.

this book of course has its flaws. one that stands out is the writing, which often feels it lacks additional polishing. sometimes i felt i was reading a fanfic, especially maya scenes were too much for me sometimes. i also wish we got two or three additional chapters. i’m always so happy when authors don’t just abruptly finish a book but show us more of how characters manage being with each other. given how difficult it felt for hannah and noah to have a happy ending, i feel like we needed tiny bit more.

but, as i said, i did enjoy this despite its flaws. maybe i’m just a sucker for snowboarding romances hehe.

Cloud Nine was soooo cute!
It was funny, heartwarming, and infuriating all at the same time. And the PCOS representation made me love it even more! I don't usually see such well done PCOS rep in media, so this was quite the breath of fresh air. Thank you.

Hannah, our FMC. A photographer who is just trying to help her best friend's parents out. I loved how headstrong she was. How fiesty she was. She deserved so much better than her toxic ex, and I am so glad she found that in both her friendship with Maya, and eventually her budding relationship with Noah. I love her.

Noah, our MMC..... I will admit, I hated him in the beginning. He initially felt very immature. And I'm not a fan of the "playboy" character type. But he did warm up to me in the end.
I felt that Hannah's disdain for him was 100% warranted in the beginning, but as we learned more about him, I started rooting for him!

Once they finally pushed past the walls they both had up, everything fell into place. I loved them together so much. It really felt like they understood eachother by the end of it. I also loved how Noah helped Hannah become more confident. 💗

I do think some of the pacing was odd, given the amount of flashbacks we saw into both of their past relationships. But it did give us great introspective, and it made sense!

I can't wait for Maya and Henry's book to come next hehe.

Thank you the publisher Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op/Amanda Sinatra for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

PCOS with all its unwanted side effects can often feel like a curse, I think the author captured the reality of the daily battle against unwanted body and facial hair down to a T. As someone who has PCOS I really related to Hannah and her insecurities were my own, her ex was a piece of work and he used something Hannah couldn’t help against her. I thought Noah was really arrogant when we first meet him but I soon warmed up to him as I realised it was a front to stop anyone getting close to him, after the betrayal of his ex and ex best friend. I loved Hannah and Maya’s friendship as they built each other up rather than tearing each other down, I liked that Maya’s parents treated Hannah as their own. I enjoyed the sparks flying between Noah and Hannah when she was tearing him back down to size, it made me chuckle that he enjoyed it. What I loved the most about this book was two battered people with walls around their hearts, finding their way together and realising that they found their penguin. I’m very nice looking forward to Maya and Henry’s book as I really enjoyed these two sniping at each other.

Why can’t you see how desperate I am to have you? You’re my brightest star when I watch the night sky. ❞ ࿐ ࿔*:・゚

ֹ ‧₊˚🗻`˖*⋆ Hannah Rose St. Pierre has recently ended a long-term relationship and is now focusing on her health and her photography career. To help distract herself from her diagnosis of PCOS, she accepts her best friend's offer to take professional photos of her family's ski resort, Snowy Peak, located in Vermont.

Upon discovering that the resort is on the verge of closing, and that they may be spending their last vacation at what she considers their second home, a plan is put into motion. They decide to invite the Olympic Snowboarding team for a showcase to raise funds and publicity. However, this also means dealing with the cocky two-time Olympian, Noah Hart, who comes along with the package.

Release Date : February 17, 2026 ⟢

What To Expect: ⌝
⌗ photographer x snowboarder
⌗ pcos rep
⌗ enemies with benefits
⌗ winter wonderland

The concept of this book certainly piqued my interest, and to be honest, I felt some FOMO when a lot of my mutuals were picking this up, and I was in love with the cover!. I'm surprised at how quickly I read this, as there were a lot of fun elements that I absolutely enjoyed: an Olympic Gold Medalist snowboarder and a photographer at a picturesque ski resort create the perfect setting for a winter romance. I definitely saw the appeal!

Although I don’t experience snow in my country, Amanda's descriptive writing brought the scenes to life, letting me imagine the icy slopes and the comforting warmth of the Snowy Peak resort. Overall, while it may not be my usual go-to genre, I can appreciate the visual and emotional elements presented in the writing.

⋆✴︎˚。⋆ ❝ You want to get inside my head, Red?”

“And suffocate from your egotism? I’ll pass. ❞

𓏲⋆🎞️.* Hannah Rose St. Pierre: As a girlie with PCOS, I understood her struggles and insecurities throughout the book. Despite that, she's a fireball who does not back down from a fight and calls people out on their behavior (yes, you Noah!) and her healing journey was just so fun to read.

⋆.𐙚 ̊ ❝ You’re my cloud nine, Red.

𓏲⋆🎿.* Noah Hart: I didn’t like this man right off the bat. He was a jerk for no reason, and even after discovering his backstory, I still don’t think it was enough to change my mind about him. He came to the ski resort as a professional athlete and a guest. I was shocked that after his very first meeting with Hannah, he had to indulge in his sexual fantasies about her. That incident really set the tone for me, and I didn’t think he could be redeemed, even by the end. Don’t even get me started on him calling her "Red" just because she’s a redhead. He became a pet peeve that I couldn't stand, and even the high schoolers in the story were calling him out for being childish.

໒꒱ ❝ God, please.” How can he make such a simple touch so intoxicating?

“Yeah? Who are you praying to, Red? Cause right now, it’s just us, and if you’re going to pray, it’s going to be on your knees for me. ❞ ⋆.˚

They said "enemies with benefits," and that was exactly how I saw their relationship: purely physical. I had to skim through the spicy scenes because even just talking to each other created some sexual tension. Their banter was enjoyable to read and was the only quality I liked about their relationship.

₊˚⊹ᰔ ꒱ ❝ I am the best liquor on that damn shelf. I deserve someone who can afford it.

Hannah and Maya's friendship was the cherry on top. It’s this fearless sisterhood that adds an authentic, heartfelt layer to their relationship, making it both relatable and inspiring.

Also, from the very first moment Maya and Henry stepped into the scene, I knew they would be my top favorites. The moment early on, while they were all together having lunch (I think), sparks flew, and I couldn't help but feel that their connection ran deeper than that of the main leads. I can hardly contain my excitement for their own story to unfold! Amanda Sinatra, we’re all eagerly waiting in line for them and ready to dive into the next chapter of this series!

You’re his new fascination.

Thank you to NetGalley and, of course, Amanda Sinatra for providing an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. Please remember that this opinion is my own.

I went into this one honestly excited because snowboarding is one of my favorite winter sports to watch, and a snowboarder × photographer setup at a cozy, family-run ski resort sounded like a perfect winter romance setup. 👏🏼 ❄️ On paper, this should have worked for me. In execution, it really didn’t. 😔

The setting was easily the strongest part. A struggling mountain resort and a New Year showcase gave the story built-in stakes and a cozy backdrop. I just kept wishing the details connected more clearly, because sometimes I wasn’t sure how certain plot threads were supposed to matter or pay off.

Hannah was the most bearable character and the one I rooted for most. She’s steady, kind, and willing to step in and fix messes that aren’t even hers. I really wanted to connect with the PCOS representation too, and I went in expecting a deep, layered portrayal. For me, it didn’t quite reach that level. It’s brought up often, but mostly circles the same emotional beats. There were openings where the story could have slowed down and gone deeper, and instead it skimmed past them. It’s not that it was poorly handled; I just wanted more substance and texture there.

Maya drove me crazy. 😐🤚🏼 She felt insensitive and self-focused in moments that needed more care. And if I had to hear her mention the “gift card dude” one more time, I was actually going to lose it. 😭😭😭 Instead of coming across as quirky and supportive, she mostly just felt exhausting.

Noah gave me the INSTANT ick. His early POV is very body-focused and sexualized, and it flattened the chemistry before it could grow. Also, I didn’t entirely understand the hostility between him and Hannah??? It didn’t feel grounded, so when attraction started to take the lead, it felt abrupt instead of natural. A lot of their connection read as physical first and emotional later, and the emotional side never felt strong enough to balance it. 🫩🫩

The pacing also felt off. The main characters don’t even properly meet until a noticeable way in, and there are side moments and intimate scenes involving other characters that felt unnecessary and distracting. (like i don’t want to read about his random hookup?? ew) I kept waiting for the relationship to feel settled and emotionally convincing before moving forward, and it never quite got there. *SIGH* 😔😔😔

Don’t get me wrong, there are warm moments and a good core idea here, but the execution didn’t match the promise for me. Overall, not terrible, just disappointing, and not one I connected with the way I hoped I would. 🫠🫠

🫧 Vibes: snowy mountains and lust
🎶 Song: breathe - michelle branch
📖 Favourite Quote: "I'm so in love with you, Hannah. All of you. Every part of you is my favorite."
📚 Would I recommend? not really
💬 tldr thoughts: I really wanted to love this but the MMC kinda ruined it.

In the package:
📦 snowboarder x photographer
📦 snowy inn
📦 forced proximity
📦 PCOS representation

Plot: Hannah, a photographer, has been enlisted by her best friend, Maya, to help save her family's ski resort. Noah Hart, two-time-Olympian, who she's meant to work with to put Snowy Peak back on the map, drives her up the wall. To get through this, they strike up and enemies with benefits deal.

Thoughts: The book cover sucked me in but unfortunately this was a let down. I should have known I wouldn't like this when I first read Noah's POV. He's a playboy and a total ass. I love a grumpy x sunshine trope but not when the MMC is a dick, and Noah was just so mean that I couldn't get over it for the entirety of the book, even when he redeems himself at the end. He's been through something but that absolutely does not excuse his behaviour towards people, especially Hannah.

Now for what I enjoyed: I really liked the snowy inn setting with olympic snowboarders. I never read a book with this premise and it was great. I loved the PCOS representation because this is still not talked about enough and I appreciated how much it was highlighted in the book. Hannah was a fantastic FMC and I just wanted to constantly give her a heartwarming hug because of her insecurities but also because she's a genuinely sweet person.

Thank you NetGalley and Amanda Sinatra for the eARC!

"Why can't you see how desperatre I am to have you? My, you're my brightest star when I watch the night sky."

"Yes. Yes, I love you. I'm so in love with you, Hannah. All of you. Every part of you is my favorite."

aww i really liked this book! this is most definitely a unique type of sports romance because wdym snowboarder x photographer? i've never read anything like it before! the vibes of the snowy peak resort were everything. i cannot wait to go back when the next book is out because maya is literally the most amazing best friend to hannah, and i really want to see her own story. their friendship is so wholesome, she supports her and stands up for her no matter what, literal goals.

i must say, noah was a bit unbearable and annoying in the beginning, but that is just his image and once you learn more about him, you begin to understand and feel for him. the dynamic between noah and hannah was so good. i enjoyed the tension, the banter, and honestly the tropes in general. the pcos representation is also something new that i was able to read about in a book. i feel like we never get to actually see how the fmcs go through something, but in this book we see everything and how it affects her mental health. and although i can't relate to this specifically, i felt the pain as if it was my own.

so overall, this was an adorable read! can't wait to read maya's book and to hopefully see snippets of noah and hannah.

i'm so happy that i requested this book omg!! it was SO GOOD! i loved hannah and noah, i mean even the side characters, they were amazing too! ⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧• hannah st.pierre
i loved her so much! she's so strong and fierce. i loved how she's best friends with maya, like that girl would burn the entire world down for her if she just asked. seeing her struggling through all these self doubt made me tear up and i just want to give her a big hug!

⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧• noah hart
honestly i was slightly skeptical of him with his closed off playboy energy in the beginning of the book. but you could tell he was so clearly very down bad for hannah. i loved how he was there and how he stood up for hannah in front of liam (ew!) even though they weren't officially together.

maya and henry!!!! i was eating up the little glimpse that we get with their interaction with each other. i just LOVED maya's chaotic energy and henry being lwk nonchalant about it cuz he knows it's maya's world and he's just living in it. anyways, cant wait to read their book next! i just know it's gonna be so good~

Mild spoilers ahead ᨒ

Plot ⋆⁺₊❅.
When Hannah - our FMC is invited to her best friend, Maya's family ski resort to take pictures of the place and updated their website so that they could save the place, Hannah immediately agreed given that Cloud Nine has been like a second home for her. But when they reached the resort they realised that it was on the verge of closing down to which Maya's parents had to sought out help from one of their friends placing Noah Hart on Hannah's path and heart.

Tropes ⋆⁺₊❅.
⛷ Photographer x Athlete
⛷ Enemies x lovers
⛷ Grumpy x sunshine
⛷ PCOS rep

Thoughts ⋆⁺₊❅.

Cloud Nine had so much potential but unfortunately this fell a bit flat. It's actually a really cute and cozy read with the perfect ski resort setting. But the characters were not giving at all. Both the MMC- Noah and the FMC- Hannah, had some serious baggage and needed therapy. They both have been through some serious shit with their exes and they were definitely not resolving their issues with banging each other. Noah's ex girlfriend cheated on him with his best friend Sean, and a member of the snowboarding group.

When he saw Hannah for first time, he was completely gone for her - yet acted like a real asshole. I understand his character and his pain, but bro, this ain't highschool where you bully the girl you had a crush on. Grow up!!

That’s the real tragedy here. Coming off arrogant and rude is not my usual demeanor, but when someone takes a baseball bat to your heart, it's hard to repair the damage and let someone else in. Red just does something to me that I put up walls to protect myself. Even if I want to feel her hot mouth on me. It’s wrong to rile her up, but the faces she makes and her quick comebacks are too entertaining.
And I won’t let up, because I don’t think I want off this train, and I haven’t even touched her… yet.
That’s the real tragedy here.

Also serious question to authors, what’s the need to paint the MMC as a despicable manwhore especially when they get their hearts broken by an ex? See excerpt below :

Joan comes over and hands each of them their cabin keys. Coach Jones and Anthony leave us to talk privately, while the twins get a tour from one of the staff, the men talk about the autographs Noah signed outside.
“Kids, or…?” Mark edges.
“In their early twenties, one gave me her number.” Noah holds up a folded piece of paper, waving it around. “Might call her later if I get bored.”
Taylor snorts. “You’re always bored. What number is this? Fifteen?”
Noah shrugs, unbothered. “Maybe ten, I lost count when that other girl gave me a blow job in my suite in Aspen last week.”
The men snicker, making my stomach turn. My eyes lock onto Noah’s, and a sly smile appears, mocking me from afar.

Also the part where Cassy fucking face kept coming onto Noah and Noah didn't even push her away. Like I know Hannah and him hadn't even establish any exclusivity but BOY??

More begin to gather, and I’m already looking for Noah in the crowd, a knee-jerk reaction to how strong his magnetic pull is. But who I spot him with almost rips me to shreds from the inside out.
Standing, beautiful as ever in a sleek, black winter coat, hair that reminds me of melted chocolate, is Cassy. She takes center stage, angled toward him, speaking in a hushed voice, then flips her hair back away from her shoulder, casually running her fingers through Noah’s hair. He pays little attention to her because he has his eyes directly on me.
My throat goes dry as anxiety comes in waves, rippling over the stone wall I’ve made. He’s not stopping her from touching him, nor is he engaging. He doesn’t move, only continues to hold me in place with those captivating brown eyes. Trying, unsuccessfully, to put my stupid camera back in my bag, I finally get it in, zipping it tight. I'm edging away, Maya lets go automatically, probably seeing what I see.

Even Hannah - she was pretty cool when we first meet her but then when she saw Noah with his entourage of women she was mouthing off like a rabid dog. Even tho, Noah told her his extracurricular times wasn’t her business.
Luckily both Hannah and Noah resolved their issues and started using their mouths for other things than arguing. And then the “I love yous” blindsided me somehow (·•᷄‎ࡇ•᷅ )

Overall
Overall this was still a cute read. I absolutely adored the PCOS rep and understood Hannah's struggle with it. I feel for her since being someone who has to pluck hair on my chin daily. I did love how Noah worshipped her body and made her feel loved.

Publication date - 17.02.26

➷ • ꜰᴀᴠᴏʀɪᴛᴇꜱ Qᴜᴏᴛᴇꜱ & ᴍᴏᴍᴇɴᴛꜱ

“Do you love me?” It’s the only words I’m able to speak, but I need to hear him say it out loud, to know if it’s even a possibility, otherwise, I have to run as far away with my tattered heart once more.
“Yes. Yes, I love you. I’m so in love with you, Hannah. All of you. Every part of you is my favorite. You’re all I think about and wonder how I can make that smart mouth snap back or smile.” Warm, brown eyes search my face, his hands move to my waist, pulling me closer. “Our deal we made, that was me trying to get close to you without actually admitting it to myself. Meeting you has flipped my entire world upside down, wanting nothing more than to wake up to you.” Noah rubs his nose against mine. “I never want to go another day not knowing who you are or what you’re thinking. Not talking to you for these few days killed me, but I kept my distance because I hurt you, and I know I did. It was never my intention, and for that I am so sorry.”

That’s my Hannah.
My cloud nine.
Hannah is a religion I’ll gladly worship, day in and day out. I’ll kneel for her on jagged rocks if it means I can spend every waking moment and from sunrise to nightfall.

first off, can we talk about how absolutely gorgeous this cover is?? 😫 i went into this knowing absolutely nothing about snowboarding so i appreciate the beginning including definitions of the different tricks. this book was honestly really good and im surprised how much i enjoyed it. sure, the writing was really cringey at times, but the setting was cozy, the characters felt realistic, and the romance was adorable. the plot was a bit slow in the beginning but became addicting after we met noah.

⇢ ˗ˏˋ "noah, you were right. i’ve always believed in you. since the beginning, when we hated each other, i never doubted you could do it.” ࿐ྂ

⋆.𐙚 ̊ the premise ꒰🏂꒱

the story follows hannah st. pierre, a young photographer invited to photograph the ski resort owned by her best friend’s family. when hannah learns that the resort, snowy peaks, is threatened with closure, she’s determined to save the place she calls her second home. hannah and her best friend, maya, invite the olympic snowboarding team to boost attention and publicity by performing at the resort. what hannah doesn’t expect is to attract the attention of the team captain and notorious playboy, noah hart.

⋆˚࿔ the characters ꒰❄️꒱

ᯓ hannah st. pierre ˎˊ˗
is an up and coming photographer, learning to manage her pcos diagnosis. after an emotionally abusive relationship, hannah has sworn off all men until she can properly heal. hannah was such a beautiful character !! she was so strong, despite all the struggles she’s faced. whenever she mentioned her ex, i felt so bad for her and almost forgot she wasn’t a real person !! as someone who knew almost nothing about pcos, i feel like i learned so much and loved the representation.

.𖥔 ݁ ˖ noah hart ˚., the captain of the olympic-level snowboarding team, thought that meaningless hookups and heartless behavior was the way to mend the hole in his heart left by his ex. the last thing he anticipated? falling in love and actually wanting someone in his life for more than one night. i’ll be honest, until around the 60% mark, i despised noah.. he was such a dick and had the largest ego known to man, hooking up with literally every girl he saw. when i learned the reason behind this, i did start to feel some sympathy, but still wish he hadn’t been written as someone defined by endless hookups. once he had a change in attitude, i will admit, i did start to love him.. i mean, the crawling scene??? 🤭💕

aw i loved these characters sm !! all of the relationships were amazing, especially hannah and maya’s friendship. honestly, i wish i had maya as a friend.. 🥹 a lot of people were saying the relationship between noah and hannah seemed purely physical and not very believable, but i thought they had so much chemistry. while the relationship did start physical, it grew into so much more than that.

જ⁀➴°⋆ overall ꒰🏔️꒱

overall, this was much better than i expected !! while the writing wasn’t the best, i had a fun time. the plot felt addicting and the relationships were so sweet and wholesome. i’d definitely recommend if you’re looking for a cute, enemies to lovers romance.

review with some spoilers

i absolutely devoured this book in one sitting, i was so intrigued by what was going on, i just couldn’t stop reading. i loved the vibes, the setting, and the character dynamics in this book.

hannah rose st. pierre, i really liked her from the moment she was introduced. she had to deal with a lot considering pcos diagnosis and her previous relationship. while her relationship with liam obviously left open wounds i’m glad she was fully aware of how much of a bad relationship it was even if she had doubts. i absolutely loved her personality especially with noah, she was very not tolerant of his bullshit and i loved that. i also really enjoyed how she was also, in her own right, an athlete even if not professionally. i think that small detail added a lot to the story and her relationship with noah. her photography was also a very important aspect of the story, i loved how people clearly knew and express how talented she was, especially with noah stalking her website.

noah hart, an olympic medalist, who is clearly hurting but doesn’t really know how to not. i wasn’t particularly a big fan at the beginning cause he was a big asshole; as they explained why he acted the way he did, i did gain a bit of a soft spot for him but i still think he should have gone to therapy. him having twisties was not super shocking but also not the way that i expected the plot to go. i’m glad that he had someone who didn’t see him as just an olympian but as a human being who was struggling. his teammates were clearly also worried but unsure how to help him but they tried, however i did not like that they didn’t tell her/lied to hannah about his twisties.

the relationship, a snowboarder and a photographer, unexpected pairing but their banter was perfect. i loved that hannah never allowed anyone to excuse noah’s behavior. i loved the scenes where they were snowboarding together, even though it was frustrating to noah that he kept failing he was his truest self when he didn’t need to keep putting up his facade and slowly he started shedding that persona. their relationship was fun and slightly complicated at the beginning but grew to be a stable and supportive one, which was exactly what they needed.

overall, i really enjoyed this book. i loved the title, which reminded me of the cloud nine disney movie (which i loved). the cover is also so beautifully done. the plot and characters were amazing and i can’t wait to possibly delve more into this author’s works. i totally recommend this book if you are looking for a fun read that you won’t be able to stop reading, this book was so good and I hope we get to see more of these characters.
