1. Replace Your Vices
There isn't a coked–out celebutant in Hollywood that Sofia King can't turn around. That is, until her producer father calls in a crazy huge favor... to turn–around the one guy Sofia never wanted to see again.

2. Reduction of Free Time
Actor–out–of–control Isaac Blue is as insanely sexy–hot as ever. The kind of hot that makes a woman toss both inhibitions and panties. All Sofia needs to do is keep Isaac on the straight and narrow until filming wraps up... which means there's only one way Sofia can keep his attention.

3. One day (night) at a Time
Her plan involves replacing Isaac's vices with raw, no–holding–back sex. With her.

Sofia tells herself she knows that she's in control. That in two weeks, Isaac will be a changed man. And then she tells herself that there's no way she could ever fall for Isaac Blue again...

Two Week Turnaround by Geneva Lee

I don't know how to start this review but from all of the Red Hot Reads from Harlequin that I have read, I haven't yet found one that really ticked everything that is in my mental check list for a perfect book. Not that I'm saying there is a perfect book out there, but a book that is perfect FOR ME.

Basically the book is about the heroine who was asked a favor from her father to change the public image of the hero. But here's the twist. The heroine and the hero had a relationship six years before and it did not end well. Now seeing each other again after all those long year rekindled something within them that was never lost.

The plot was good though nothing spectacular, the characters were okay, more on the part of the hero.

What I didn't like about this book was how the heroine used sex as a way to keep the hero focused, which in other cases would be fine by me. (Are you guys still shocked? I mean I love SMUT so you shouldn't be!) But here in this book it was not because it was in a working environment. The heroine was hired to change the perception of the public about the hero and she used sex. What I didn't like was that since the RED HOT READS is focused on independent and career-oriented women who finds love, I don't really think that the heroine's decision was wise.

Because by doing that she jeopardized her business and although she wasn't caught, it was still something that I felt a good business woman would never do. I guess this is the part where the love happened and that was why her decision was based more on her emotions, and I can see the point why it would be sweet but I just felt that it's not something a woman part of the RED HOT READS should do.

And another thing which I did not like was, (this is not a really big spoiler in my opinion so if you want to read it you can)

And I guess that is the end of my review, to sum it all up, this book may not have been the best pick for me due to the reasons written above, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try this one too.

B+ on AAR, so 4.5 stars. Sometimes a short, fun story is just the ticket. Geneva Lee's Two Week Turnaround has just the right amount of humor, angst, and sexiness to make for a perfect afternoon read. Given the source of the conflict between the leads, I felt like a little more making of amends was in order, but otherwise, I really liked this one.

Sofia King, daughter of a powerful studio head, had made a name for herself in Hollywood by taking on strung-out stars and turning their lives around for them. As the story opens, Lee throws readers right into the heart of the action, mid-makeover with Sofia. We quickly figure out that Sofia has a passion for her work. And as soon as she gets a phone call from Daddy Dearest, readers start getting a little window into Sofia's frankly dysfunctional family relationship.

However, mixed into all the dysfunction is some genuine affection, loyalty, and perhaps more than a smidgen of guilt and obligation. And so Sofia finds herself having to take on the rehab of the one star she never wanted to deal with again - Isaac Blue. Isaac was Sofia's first love, and he's currently both a big-time action star and her father's latest disaster. In order to keep Isaac's drunken debauchery from shutting down the picture into which her father has poured millions, Sofia has to get Isaac's life functional again.

Even though I believed in Sofia's lack of enthusiasm for her latest client, the chemistry between these two pops from the moment they meet. In fact, things move from business-only to flirtation very quickly. In many books this would not have worked for me, but everything is written so that it seems to flow naturally. The leads' past romantic history probably helps here as well. Given how rapidly these two jump into bed together, I initially found myself wondering, "What in the world is this woman thinking? She's risking her whole business doing something like this!" And yet, in an odd way, these two seemed to click together so well, that I found myself cheering for their relationship more than rolling my eyes over the business ethics issues. Again, I take this as a good author being able to make me want to believe in a storyline that normally wouldn't work for me.

This was a fun, quick little read that was just the break I needed from writing today. I liked the alternating POV and the characters weren't riddled with unrealistic dialogue or obstacles. It was nice to read something that felt organic and moved without forced pacing. It'd be a great beach afternoon read!

I love Geneva Lee! She absolutely knows how to write the hottest, dirtiest things with her couples. Isaac and Fia were perfect, their storyline engaging, and their sexual chemistry together out of this world. Well done!

I fancy myself a serious reader of literary fiction and a thoughtful reader of upmarket women's fiction, but darn if I am not entranced by a fun, sexy romp such as this novel.
Former actress turned publicist turned Troubled Star Fixer gets more than she bargained for when she agrees to take on her father's Bad Boy Lead Actor. Isaac Blue, fresh from a bar brawl and headed for tabloid hell, is The One That Got Away... an angle that Sofia King...err Fia Maxx will use to her advantage. Six years ago, Isaac just stopped calling. Now that they're within feet of each other the attraction hasn't waned a bit-- and that's exactly the situation Sofia needs to keep her leading man...er.... BUSY.
This is a novella so the timeline moves rather quickly, but it is chock full of steam and sass-- just how I like my erotic romps. I like that these two have history and there's so much residual attraction that they just can't help themselves. It helps me not have that Insta Love feeling that I despise. One needs longer than two weeks to fall in love with a person.
I did love the twist in this story and I'm ever so happy with the ending. A quick, sexy read!

This is a great read.

This is the story of Isaac & Sophia. Isaac is a movie star. Sophia is a person who turns around celebrity's images from bad to good. Isaac and Sophia are ex-lovers of six years ago. Her father who is a powerful producer, calls Sophia to do him a favor. She says yes before he tells her the person he wants her to turn around is Isaac. She has a plan to cope with it all. Deception is a big part of this story. Can she forgive all that? You'll just have to read this story to find out. There is a lot of love in this story, too. This is a great Novella. It covers a lot of ground in a short time. That's when you know it well written. I love Geneva Lee's stories.

This was such a fun book to read. Sophia is a strong confident woman that knows how to help people when they are in trouble. Issac Blue is a world of trouble and looking for help. Sophia is sent in to help Issac but when they realize that the chemistry they have is off the charts can they keep their hands off one another and stay focused on the job at hand. Flirtatious by nature this changes into some steamy sexy scenes that eventually turn into a more sensual, slow lovemaking.

Must read!

Good story, quick read

This is a nice, easy to read second chance romance story but in typical Geneva Lee style there is some unexpected plot twists and turns, and a bit of steam.

Two Week Turnaround
By: Geneva Lee
4/5 stars

Isaac Blue is a highly sought-after action movie super-star. But his partying ways have affected his work habit, and have put the movie that he’s filming behind schedule and costing the production company money…daily. So the studio owner calls in a favor from his daughter Sofia King, to come and get Isaac straightened out in order to get the movie back on track.

Sofia King is the go-to woman when a celebrity needs to get straightened out and put on the straight & narrow path before they commit career suicide. She’s known for only taking 2 weeks to turn around a celebrity and her success rate is second to none. But when she agrees to help her dad out, she didn’t know who the celebrity was. If she had known it was Isaac Blue, she never would have agreed.

Several years ago, Isaac & Sofia were in a relationship and were co-stars on a TV show when he went to do a movie, & became romantically linked/involved with his beautiful co-star and never called Sofia again. That action is what made Sofia quit the TV show, leave her acting career and start her own business rescuing celebrities from themselves.

But as a favor to her father, she takes the job and goes to work on Isaac. They both learn that their feelings for each other haven’t gone away and trying to keep a platonic business-only relationship will be extremely difficult.

I was somewhat disappointed that this book was so short. I think that it would have helped if the readers had been able to see when Isaac & Sofia were in a relationship in the beginning, so that we could feel the connection that they had. Because to me, Sofia looked weak when she first saw Isaac again and she was immediately lust ridden and lost her professionalism. Granted, she found it again, but she just looked weak instead of still in love with him. Also, I wish there was more at the end, but I think that this was only meant to be a short story, and because I love Geneva Lee’s writing, I just wanted more!

Sofia King/Fia Maxx is Hollywood’s savior. When celebrities are in trouble she is the one who gets called to fix their messes. She loves her job and she is proud of what she has accomplished. When her father calls her, the famous producer Arnold Maxx, to ask her for help with an actor on the set of his current movie, she really can’t tell him no even though she wants to. Her father wants her to help Isaac Blue, the man who broke her heart years ago.

Isaac Blue can’t believe it when Sofia is back in his life. She’s in London and she’s here to “fix him”.  He has always regretted loosing her the first time and maybe this time it’s not too late to atone for past mistakes. Six years is a long time but better now than never.

I love the Cosmopolitan Red-Hot Reads. Two Weeks Turnaround was sexy, funny and left me wanting for more. Just the right combination.

The thing about this novella is is that it could have been my favorite of the Red Hot Reads, but there was just something vaguely misogynistic about it and that held me back from really committing to it.

Sofia and Issac alone and together were really great. She's the daughter of a famous Hollywood producer and was an actress when she was younger and is now a PR expert who rehabs the image of wayward stars like no one else. He's the bad boy, but not too much of a bad boy, actor who she used to date and is forced to work with as a favor to her father.

Sofia was a force to be reckoned with and I loved that and Issac was bad, but not too bad, another thing I loved. Separately and even together they were great and I did genuinely enjoy their romance. But then you throw in Sofia's controlling father and I just ended up feeling like Sofia was a puppet for her father and, eventually, for Issac too. This amazing strong woman was reduced to being kind of inconsequential and had no control over her life and that was a huge turn off.

I'm not usually the type to go all feminist or cry misogyny, but something about this book seriously got under my skin. I don't know if I'm being weird or too sensitive so I'm still giving it 3 stars (I really did enjoy much of it) since I don't think its sins are bad enough for my to try to talk anyone out of reading it.

I received an electronic review copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley (thank you!). All opinions are my own.

When your dad asks for a favor it is hard for a girl to say no, even if she know that favor may come back to bite her in the ass. That is how she ends up trying to save the career of the ex-boyfriend who broke her heart.

I have a thing for these short, sweet, sexy romances. Mostly because I can read them in a day or two if they get me interested really quick. Though this one did take a little bit to get into once I did I really did like it. So yes for those that read these Harlequin Serials I believe it is slow to start.

Personally I like Sofia, after getting burned by the Hollywood star world she now likes to help others who are struggling to keep their image in Hollywood. She may have decided to not be a movie star but she grew up in the world and you can never really leave.

Overall I really did like this book, it was cute and sweet with some sexy moments and even scandalous sexy moments.

Before The Royals

I enjoyed this novel, which took place before The Royals Saga. Belle is introduced, but the main story is about the daughter of a famous film producer, who fell in love with a young actor before he became famous. They broke up and he became famous, while she became a restorer of broken careers. Enter her father who requests that she do the same for her ex before his career tanks. She agrees. What follows is a rekindling of their passionate love affair.

I loved the Royals Saga, and I really enjoyed this book, but the story ended too soon and the book was too short. In fact I felt the book ended kind of abruptly, and there is no indication whether the relationship will work out and if there will be additional books in this series about this couple. I would certainly feel different about this book if it is indeed a part of a series, and I would buy the other books in the series. I also would love a series about Belle....just asking.

PR maven to the stars, and Hollywood royalty Sofia King is tasked by her mega-producer father to "fix" playboy actor Isaac Blue. Not a problem, Sofia thinks, despite having had an intense relationship with Isaac six years earlier, in which that had ended with Sofia's broken heart.
Determined to not fall for her ex again, Sofia tries to do her job, but Isaac is turning on the charm hardcore, and, well, he's HOT!
When the real reason why Isaac broke up with her years earlier, Sofia's heart is shattered all over again, and she vows to once and for all forget Isaac. But when he makes a final play for her heart, can she forgive him, or is it truly over.
I was first introduced to this couple while reading Alexander and Clara's story. Belle, Clara's best friend makes an appearance in this story. I loved how Isaac used his standing as an action hero to attempt to win back Sofia. I enjoyed this story, and because it was a short story, I wish it had been longer.

Two Week Turnaround was a short read by Geneva Lee. This is the story about Sofia who works with the bad boy and girl of Hollywood. He job is the ultimate public image consultant. She used to be an actress and knows how the business works. Her father is also a powerhouse in the film industry.

Now Sofia is doing her dad a favor by working with Isaac Blue. Bad boy to the max. Trouble is, Isaac and Sofia once dates. He was the one who broke her heart. Sophia has never loved or lost like she had with Isaac. Hoping Isaac doesn't remember her (she has changed her name), she agrees to work with him. Little does she know, Isaac remembers everything.

Isaac doesn't just remember Sofia, she also holds a special place in his heart. Now that she is back in his life, he is not gonna make the same mistakes twice.

I love second chance romances. This was a cute read that I really enjoyed.

Firt I have to confess, I normally don't like Novellas and I was very disappointed when I started this book and realized that it is a novella ..

but with this book I had to change my opinion:

this was one of the best novellas ever because there was no lack of character or story development. of course I would have loved it if we could have seen more of Sophie and Issac but that does not mean that the story was lacking in any way. Of course not everything was perfect and some of the decisions of both of them are a bit questionable but all in all it was well done

Definitely a good read and for me not the last book by Geneva Lee

Now let me just say that 4 stars from me is VERY good!

I am a huge fan of Geneva Lee, and I've read probably all of her books that are available on Kindle. This book is a short, sizzling summer read, that I just could not put down. I was in love and pulled in from the first page until the very last, cheering for the characters to end up together.

The characters made mistakes, there were points when I was mad at them, or loved them too much, but overall Ms Lee does a wonderful job of making them sound just like regular human beings (meaning, they're not just black and white).

I can recommend any of her books to anyone who loves hot romance and some sizzling action scenes! She's amazing.

This was a quick, easy read by one of my favorite authors. While I liked it I wish it was longer. I did love the tie in with her Royals saga. I felt like this was a filler book while we wait which I am ok with. I appreciate getting something from this author but it does make anxious to read more from her.

Young love with a Hollywood twist!

Definitely enjoyed the sass that Fia Maxx brings brings to the story! She's an empowered, go getter that all women strive to be and Geneva crafts her story beautifully. Highly recommend Two Week Turnaround - especially makes for a great read on the beach this summer!
