Indulgence

Rate this book
What if indulgence wasn’t excess—but intention?

As the pull between Elena and Grant grows stronger, timing refuses to cooperate. Long-standing commitments place distance between them just as the possibility of something real begins to take shape. A first proper date is planned. Anticipation builds. And then life intervenes.

Separated by obligation, they each navigate desire in their own way.

For Elena, indulgence is not distraction or escape. It is ritual. A deliberate return to the part of herself she has claimed with clarity, trust, and care. What unfolds is explicit, sustained, and fully consensual—sexual experience rendered in vivid, embodied detail, grounded in certainty rather than transgression. Pleasure here is chosen, not borrowed, and it does not erase what remains unresolved with Grant. If anything, it sharpens it.

For Grant, distance brings its own reckoning—one that complicates longing rather than easing it.

Indulgence explores what happens when desire deepens in absence, when pleasure exists alongside emotional curiosity, and when two people begin to realise that what they are waiting for may matter more than what is immediately available.

Explicit yet thoughtful, this episode examines sexuality without shame, intimacy without easy labels, and the freedom—and cost—of radical self-honesty.

One Life is a series about choice, consequence, and living fully inside the life you’ve claimed.
Indulgence sits at its emotional and erotic core.

Elena & Grant are the authors of the One Life series, an episodic work of autobiographical erotica rooted in lived experience, emotional risk, and radical honesty.

Professionals by day and explorers by nature, they write about desire as it actually unfolds—messy, exhilarating, confronting, and deeply human. Their work traces the moment a chance encounter becomes something transformative, following the consequences of choosing openness over convention and truth over comfort.

One Life is not fantasy in the traditional sense. It is a chronicle of real choices, real encounters, and the intimacy that grows when nothing is hidden. Sometimes graphic, always intentional, the series explores sexuality, connection, and love without shame—while never pretending those paths are simple.

Elena and Grant believe we only get one life, and that living it fully requires courage, communication, and the willingness to be seen.

The Hottest and Most Emotionally Intense Yet

This was such a fantastic third installment in the series, and I honestly think it might be the strongest one yet.

The steaminess is absolutely turned up, but what makes it even better is how deeply emotional and intentional everything feels. It is not just about heat.

It is about desire, choice, and the complexity of wanting someone when timing refuses to cooperate.

Elena’s journey in this book really stood out to me. The way she approaches pleasure as something deliberate and empowering rather than reckless or reactive made the story feel mature and thoughtful. The intimate scenes are vivid and bold, definitely some of the hottest in the series so far, but they are also grounded in self awareness and confidence. That balance made them even more powerful.

Grant’s side of the story adds a layer of tension that simmers throughout the book. The distance between them does not weaken their connection. It intensifies it.

The longing feels sharper, the anticipation stronger, and the emotional pull between them more undeniable. Watching both of them navigate desire separately while clearly still orbiting each other made the entire story feel charged.

What I loved most is how this book explores intimacy without oversimplifying it. There are no easy labels or quick resolutions. Instead, it dives into the idea that indulgence can coexist with emotional depth, and that waiting can sometimes heighten connection rather than diminish it.

As a third book in a steamy series, this one absolutely delivers on heat, but it also deepens the emotional stakes in a way that makes the whole story feel richer. It is bold, thoughtful, and incredibly compelling. I cannot wait to see where the series goes next.

I found this book to be sex positive. The vibe normalizes consensual sex more. Especially regarding things that some look at as taboo, but really shouldn't. Such as group intimacy, and lacking any shame or guilt. The way sex should be. This story is especially empowering and positive for women.

I must say, the book started out kind of subdued and conservative for me. Maybe it's a Brit thing, I don't know. And even the spicy scenes later were a little conservative and literal, and maybe a little too realistic. Such as using condoms. I wish there were more fantasy aspects, and was a little more wild, but that's me. The intimate acts were awesome. And took up a good chunk of the second half of the book, which was nice. But even as risque and hot as they were, I found the emotions a little tame. But if you like stories where the sex is described as more realistic then you will probably dig this.

There’s nothing like being adored; whether it’s a birthday or any day. This book is the sheer pleasure of a woman’s fantasy to be indulged and worshipped. Elena had trust with no fear of being harmed or feeling used, which let her be vulnerable, and was granted her wishes to the full extent of gratification.

I found her amazing- even being exhausted not wanting to stop. All the sexy fellows aided her call; as she needed all four or so to participate.

From book, I laughed after Elena said she wasn’t going to be able to walk straight for days, and she laughed. From reading this well expressed book, her needs are more than sex. She wanted connection. She was thinking, I believe, hoping all will work out with Grant.

“Indulgence” is the third installment in the One Life series. After reading the second book, I was eager to dive into Indulgence. The story picks up again, centering on Elena and Grant. This time, I felt a stronger bond and was captivated by the undeniable chemistry between them. Their attraction grows more intense, and the buildup feels more genuine. This book offers plenty of steamy moments, complemented by deeper emotional resonance.

Passionate and thoughtful book exploring the worlds of elena and grant. Distance between them at the start makes this seem impossible, but then they explore and see that they need each other, without shame.

I couldn't like the characters. Although it's fairly well written, it wasn't my type of story.

This book blends a strong emotional thread with very explicit, boundary pushing scenes, following Elena and Grant as their missed connection turns into something charged with tension, curiosity, and unresolved desire. The dual perspectives work well, showing how both characters move through separate but equally intense experiences while still being pulled toward each other, and the pacing keeps things engaging without getting lost in repetition. It is definitely not for everyone given how graphic and unapologetic it is, but there is a clear attempt to ground everything in character motivation and evolving connection. Personally, I enjoyed the psychological tension and buildup more than the nonstop intensity, but if you like bold, uninhibited storytelling, this will likely hit the mark.
