I have loved everything this author writes and when I'm in the mood for Omegaverse, this author definitely hits the spot. This author's writing style and flow are fantastic. The stories are always fleshed out, too. I love that all of these stories are filled with MPREG. Each story is unique, filled with obstacles for the main couples, and of course, some spice 🔥🔥🔥. I love that we also always get an HEA and look into the family the characters are creating.
This story follows Sam and Beck. Sam is a beta who is stationed to the town of Pinecrest to investigate if their dam needs a renovation or if the residents need to move. Beck is an alpha who lives at the top of the mountain and refuses to move. He isolates himself and barely interacts with people. As soon as these two meet, electric sparks fly. Sam starts to feel and experience traits of an omega. Beck is drawn to him and feels like they are mates. Due to Beck's military experiments done on him, he triggers Sam to go into heat. These two get hot and heavy. Sam ends up getting pregnant and his whole life starts to change. These two go through many obstacles and fears that put some space between them. Can they both conquer their fears to make this new family work?
These two were sweet and sexy together. They both were stubborn and wouldn't back down from anything. I loved how Beck was shocked that Sam wasn't intimated by him. Sam had some sass and I was here for it. Beck's past and fears tore at my heart strings 😭. I loved how much Sam trusted him and always gave him a chance. I loved how protective and caring Beck was for Sam. The ending of this was everything. I loved seeing their family moments and their new pup. I loved that they still split their time and helped Pinecrest. This was such a fantastic story and I can't wait to read more by this author.

DNF @ 50%
I was trying to finish this, but things just kept getting worse and worse. The writing has a lot of issues, including tense, punctuation, repetition, and continuity. When the story started downhill, I finally gave up. I won’t be reading any more from this author even though I got 2 books for free.
It’s a shame, because there’s potential, which is what kept me reading until 50%. But when the main plot-point of the story gets completely skipped and the couple is still tiptoeing around each other into the second half of a novella-length story, I don’t have time or desire for that.
