This was a Scholastic book written with the intention of making your classroom library having more teaching power. Many of the ideas I was already familiar with. I appreciated the reading lists. I could see a first year teacher finding this book somewhat useful.
This is a pretty old book 2002, is the copyright. This book was made for classroom teachers not really librarians so I did not get much out of it. However, I did find one mini lesson called literature webbing strategy. I am going to try it and see how it works for my K and 1st grade.
This was my favorite Scholastic teacher book in ages. I actually read the entire thing. I have been building my classroom library for years, and I am excited to really use it this year.
