I feel crappy saying this , mostly because there aren’t a lot of (or any) reviews of this book on Goodreads yet, but there is no way I’m going to rate this any higher than the one star I decided to give it somewhere around the 50% mark. There are a ton of formatting issues, including
| \"Because you don\'t deserve to be murdered by your own cousin. Because...\" I hesitated, then forged ahead. \"Because I don\'t think you\'re actually a monster. You\'re just doing what you think you have to do. And I get that. I\'ve spent my whole life doing what I had to do, even when it hurt.\" | 31%
And this
| \"Because you don\'t deserve to be murdered by your own cousin,\" she\'d said. \"Because I don\'t think you\'re actually a monster.\" | 33%
that make me suspect AI and, as someone who absolutely abhors AI being used in creative spaces, there’s just no way I’m going to change my mind. I know that the AI used for writing is trained by stories already written by other authors so I’m holding out judgment as much as I can for a book that wasn’t good but wasn’t awful - really just hoping it was a mistake when the book was being uploaded. Entire portions of the story are skipped, random characters just appear and the ending is so repetitive that it was a pain to finish even if the premise was something I was interested in.
I could, of course, be wrong and in that case, my apologies ahead of time! (I'm not though so 😑)
The book started off great but I feel like there was a jump in time how did they fall In love when did it become a thing how did she end up in bed with him idk I feel like a lot was left in said and a lot of unanswered questions
