Secrets Off The Ice

Rate this book
Hudson is the captain of his small-town hockey team and one of the most popular guys in school, but he has a secret. No one knows he has a daughter, Penny.

He's managed to keep it a secret for 3 years after being driven out of his last school. Even though he knew that raising a kid as a teen dad would be hard, he’s committed to raising Penny the best he can. His parents don’t approve of him wasting his free time with hockey, but it’s the one thing he does for himself. When he has Penny in the stands cheering him on, he feels like not only the best dad, but the best hockey player in the world.

Piper is the new girl at the school. Hoping that she’d make some new friends, she went to the hockey game that Hudson invited her to. Instead, she ends up sitting next to an adorable little girl who falls asleep on her lap during the course of the game. When Hudson has to get his daughter to bring her home after the game, his secret is out.

Hudson and Piper start spending more time together. One can keep a secret, but when two know, it’s bound to unravel. Slowly, more people figure it out and Hudson is at risk of losing everything he’s worked so hard for. Hudson is balancing three goals; raising Penny, keeping his friends, and being with Piper.

Can he score the hat-trick?
