The Silver Fox Brother: An Age Gap Off Limits Forbidden Romance

His hand slides up my thigh, his mouth crashes against mine, and before I can stop it, I’m moaning his name as he spreads me open like he’s already claimed me.

Because maybe he has…

Knox Sterling isn’t just my ex-boyfriend’s older brother. He’s the brooding billionaire who broke away from the family business—and the one I’ve spent the past two years pretending not to notice. Quiet. Intense. Untouchable. Built like sin in a tailored suit, with ice-blue eyes that strip me bare every time he looks at me.

After I’m left with a broken heart, I bury myself in my work. But a twist of fate pulls me straight into Knox’s orbit.

Now I’m designing his newest Manhattan real estate project, and all the late nights, close proximity, and simmering tension finally explode into something we can’t undo.

What starts as a single, impulsive night turns into a secret neither of us can stop chasing. It’s addictive. It’s reckless. And it’s so far past the line I can’t even see the rules anymore.

But when my ex tries to come back into my life—apologizing, promising everything he never gave before—everything spirals.

Now I’m trapped between two rival the one who betrayed me, and the one who ruined me for anyone else.

I know this won’t end well. But I can’t bring myself to walk away.

When Professional and Personal Align Perfectly -
Even though Winter had been having second thoughts about her relationship, she was weary when her boyfriend’s brother contacting her about working together on a project, because of their family drama. Even though Knox was short on time, he was still apprehensive about hiring Winter, but he knew she was the right person for the job. However, before Winter had a chance to discuss the offer with her boyfriend, an incident occurred that gave her the push she needed to accept the job working with Knox.

The sexual tension between Winter and Knox grew the more time they spent together and finally led to the crossing the boundaries of their professional relationship. Unfortunately, the moment Winter’s ex-boyfriend discovered her connection to his brother, he did every possible to cause problems for them, which bordered on obsessive behaviour and also reverted to violence. As luck would have it, Winter received life changing news, which made them finally make plans for their future together.

Bella Chandler delivered a romance story filled with whirlwind of passion, steamy encounters, emotional moments and family drama, that avid readers of sizzling contemporary romance stories will definitely want to devour in one sitting. I highly recommend you grab a copy of this book now and entertain yourself for a few hours.

What can I say about Bella Chandler that I haven’t already? She truly knows how to write romance — the chemistry, the longing, the emotional tension — and once again, she delivers beautifully.

Winter and Knox’s story is anything but simple. From the very beginning, it’s complicated and messy, largely due to Knox’s family dynamics — especially considering that Winter’s ex-boyfriend is Knox’s brother. The emotional stakes are high, and the drama feels real rather than forced.

Even without the family complications, Knox presents his own challenges. Though he’s more than old enough to know better, he struggles with communication and tends to be overly cautious and closed off. That emotional restraint creates both tension and heartbreak as their relationship develops.

What I loved most was the slow build. The chemistry between Winter and Knox simmers throughout the story until it finally ignites — and even then, their journey isn’t easy. They retreat, they protect themselves, and they make you work for their hard-won love.

This was a beautiful, emotional read, and I highly recommend it to romance lovers who enjoy messy family drama, slow-burn tension, and a love story that truly has to fight for its happy ending.

She's caught between two brothers battling for her heart. Winter thought she was happy with Rowan until a midnight phone call change things. When she accepts a job offer from Knox sparks ignites between them and close proximity stirs the pot of feelings. Will she and Knox land in the place of happily ever after. This heartfelt story had me all caught up in the drama and cheering Knox and Winter on to getting their chance for happiness.

Superb ending

I struggled with this one at times. The characters were well written, but the plot felt over the top and unrealistic. The characters’ ages just didn’t make sense. It wasn’t terrible, but somehow Winter and her job was not feasible. Apart from one mention near the beginning no new staff were mentioned but her work load increased significantly. Knox and Winter’s interaction was great and the ending was swoon worthy.
