I was gifted this book in 2002, and scoured it for countless hours, trying to learn as much about NASCAR as little me could soak up. I already liked racing, but this book made me appreciate the history and culture of the sport in a new way. It fueled me to become a racer myself, and then a track worker and announcer. When I think of this book, I picture a scene where I'm laying on the basement floor with the book beneath me, and I'm reading it to fill the commercial breaks on Speed Channel during Daytona Speedweeks. It's a memory I treasure.
My number one reference whenever looking for pictures of a particular car that I am thinking on building a model of. The greatest single collection of stock car pictures I have seen yet.
