This was a thrilling read from start to finish. Two worlds nearing their respective ends collide - Gabe was in no position to save his, but could he save this new world? This book features a long cast of diverse characters to propel the story forward and a terrifying baddie looming over it all. It's an exciting debut book - I highly recommend it!

I went into this book not fully knowing what to expect, but what I found was something incredibly intense and thought-provoking.

From the very beginning, there’s a sense of unease that slowly builds into something much bigger. The scene with the global announcement was especially powerful, it felt raw, human, and almost too real. The way the author captured the President’s struggle to hold composure while delivering such devastating news gave the moment a weight that really stayed with me.

What stood out most to me was how grounded everything felt. Instead of rushing into chaos, the story takes its time to show the emotional impact, the tension in the room, the uncertainty, and the quiet panic that creeps in. You can feel it through the characters, especially in the way they react to something so unimaginable yet inevitable.

There’s also something compelling about how the author weaves together personal moments with a global crisis. It makes the story feel both intimate and expansive at the same time.

If you enjoy stories that explore humanity under pressure, with a strong emotional core and a looming sense of urgency, this is definitely one to look out for. I’m really curious to see how everything unfolds from here.
