Adam's Murder is the transcribed audio diary of Abigail Drummer. When the police show up to tell Abigail that her missing brother, Adam, has been found, Abby can't believe he's dead. The mysterious death of her brother and a creepy note with the location of the last place Adam was alive send Abigail spiraling. She wonders if she can trust the people closest to her deceased brother or if maybe they're to blame. Abigail Drummer : a twenty year old with no aspirations, tries to solve the murder of her brother, Adam, and records an audio diary to keep track of her thoughts. Her brother's murder was cruel and unusual, his body dumped by the river in the small town of Olivehurst, California. The police are acting just as suspicious as Adam's drug dealer, and his friends are acting even stranger. Abigail finds herself amidst Adam's secret life and risks her life to find the answers, all the while learning how to live without her brother and protector. Finding body after body by the river, Abigail wonders how this secret has been kept for so long and what she can do to stop it. About the author

I was just a lonely teenager with a notebook and a pen when I wrote my first novel EATEN. Little did I know it would become my career to write thrilling tales of horror and macabre. I love entertaining and reading has been close to my heart since I was a young child.

One thing will remain the same about each of my books for all of eternity: there’s a little piece of my soul within every page. From Amelia to Abigail to Rebel to Mia, each of my characters carries a part of me with them, for better or for worse. From my skin picking disorder to the loss of my brother to the haunted house I grew up in to my severe OCD and intrusive thoughts, my characters are cursed to live a fate with something from my own twisted life.

As I started my career, social media turned to videos as the main source of entertainment, and so I learned how to write and record my own skits with my cousin BoB. BoB dislikes the gothic, the macabre, the horrific, meanwhile my special interests include poisons, cannibalism, and medieval medical practices.

I'm not the type of person to leave more than the star amount on my reviews, but this book deserves so much more than just the 5 stars. I finished Adam's Murder in 2 reading sessions because I couldn't stop thinking about what was going to happen to Abby or what she was going to uncover. The writing makes Abby feel like an old friend who's trying to keep you up to date on her life and what's happening around her. As someone who's faced a lot of grief at a very young age, Abby's grief is so perfectly described that it felt like she was talking for me. Adam's Murder is the perfect mix of horror and reality that makes you realize just how scary our world really is.

I will be recommending this book to everyone I know and will be adding it to my collection of favorites.

I thoroughly enjoyed the suspense of this story.

Murder mystery?
Gruesome horror?
Gory thriller?
Tragic romance?

I just feel like it lack some commitment. It goes on forever about how the MC goes to the police and suspects these people and then sneaks around playing cool detective... And then it feels like we forget all this and just move on WHILE STILL the MC has the same old motivation.

Either way, liked the idea. Wouldn't say it's overly gory or something. On the contrary, I'd say it could've used even MORE guts given the premise. But(!) not a bad thing, simply my thoughts.

It did manage to make me feel icky from time to time, suspense does wonders in a detective story! Did make me suspect everyone, fun, but still, kind of obvious...

It's a cool story, but I just felt like the ending was a bit rushed and a bit underwhelming (though for the second, I'm ready to just say it's a 'me' problem).
