Maggie Lee is not an art aficionado. Half the time, she can’t even figure out what the drawings done by her nieces are supposed to be.

But somehow, she finds herself caught in a case involving an art collector, a forger, a thief, and a certain sexy insurance investigator.

Can she solve the mystery of the missing artwork or will she paint herself into a corner?

At only 8% into the book we get - “'It’s going to be one of those days,' I muttered."

That's Maggie for ya. You want excitement? Go spend a day with Maggie Lee and excitement (and utter chaos) is exactly what you'll get!

So Maggie made a new friend in this book and according to JB (Jen), we're going to see more of her in future books. I'll introduce you to her in case you haven't read this book yet. The name's Poppy and she is friends with Nate. In fact, she once saved Nate's life. Thing is Poppy is a modern day Robin Hood - she steals, but then she gives back to those in need. So you can wonder what she was doing in this book. Guess you'll need to read it to find out!

"We were almost killed by a unicorn."

Lately - this book and the previous... and possibly the book before that... I don't recall - Mike, the crow has been persistent in his request to Maggie to kill a guy, but Maggie has a lot of other lives she needs to save and what in the world could a crow need that is more important than a lingerie shop's merchandise being stolen, an art dealer needing security, and a teacher leaving three kids without an education? Well, we finally find out what Mike is squawking and talking about and it is pretty urgent.

"My family might be a dysfunctional group filled with quirks and strong personalities, but when it comes down to it, they always manage to pull together to take care of one another. Even though their methods might seem bizarre to outsiders."

There's a lot of adventure and running around. Maggie never has a dull moment in her life and it seems that's exactly how she likes it! Make sure to join her and her menagerie of animal friends as they band together to solve all of life's mysteries of whodunnits.

See you in my next book thoughts review.

Another fun mystery as our favorite hitwoman takes a legitimate job to provide security and foil a potential art theft. Things don't go as expected and craziness ensues. Add in a wild home life filled with change, and Maggie is spinning from one crisis to another. Fortunately, she can count on her menagerie to race to the rescue.
Fans of the genre will love this book. While part of a series, its a stand alone novel, however it's so good that you really owe it to yourself to read them all. The author is on my must read authors' list.

Maggie pairs up with Nat for an investigation that gives her a legitimate job. Art thieves and a woman from Nat's past figure in. On the home front there are changes with the family causing more stress. The animal menagerie helps out in all instances and the spotlight is on Mike the crow and Maggie makes a new friend. Fun fast read with the usual humor and interesting family dynamics. Looking forward to the next one

Out of control

This was probably the fastest paced entry into this series so far. It started a bit slow, but about halfway through it, picked up the pace, and there were lots of little pieces that all came together all at once. A kidnapped child., Mrs. White hat going crazy, forged paintings and heavy crushing feelings for Nat Hunting. I can’t wait to see the outcome of the crush. Will Maggie and Nat ever actually get together ?

Art thieves, kidnappers and thugs, oh my!

Maggie’s dragged once again into several plots. Protecting an art collection, looking for an art forger and saving a kidnapped little girl. A tall order, even for Maggie Lee. But she always comes through for her friends and family. Great story!

Maggie Lee and The Art Thief

Another great read by JB Lynn. My only critique is that there were a lot of errors, grammatical as well as wrong names used. I did report them, but I hope they are corrected in future releases. The Hit Woman series are too good to get distracted by errors.

Maggie and her menagerie strike again!

I love this series so much! Maggie and her family are wonderful, each in their own way. But the animals steal the show! My mother taught me to enjoy reading because characters become your friends. Each of these personalities feel a little bit like home. Plus there are surprises around every corner! Enjoy!!!

A good read with fast pacing. It’s still frustrating to see her family place so much on her plate constantly. Woman never gets a break or knows how to delegate. Is still a fun, funny book with all the characters you love.

Maggie has a lot on her plate at all times. She’s helping Nat with a case, the Corset is having a theft problem, and never ending family issues. This was another laugh-out-loud mystery that had me quickly turning the pages. This series never fails to entertain me!

Another great adventure!

I love this series! Maggie and her rag tag crew are as loveable as cm be. Each and every character is quirky and refreshingly unique. This series is like no other. I am already impatient for the next adventure.

Another Good One!

The only thing I didn't like were all of the typo's!!!! Way more than usual. And towards the end one of the characters names was changed, in error, to another characters name that wasn't even in that conversation or chapter!

A few typos and name errors that should have been picked up. A few bits that made me smile. Not the best but still good.

Just pure delight and fun. The characters evolve and the stories and antics of Maggie and her family, including the best animal sidekicks ever, always makes me smile.
