This is a beautiful daily devotional that pairs reflections from early church leaders, like Gregory of Nazianzus and Athanasius, with simple, modern insights. It felt like sitting down with trusted mentors who remind you just how massive and miraculous the arrival of Jesus really was.
These short devotional readings paired with scripture and a reflection prompt, offer a beautiful invitation to step out of the holiday rush and rest in the true life Jesus brings. It’s gentle, deep, and exactly what our hearts need in the holiday season.
If you’re looking for a wonderful way to refocus your heart this coming Christmas, without adding more stress to your schedule, I cannot recommend this book enough! It’s short enough to fit into your daily routine and deep enough to nourish your soul.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
