Serenity Falls: A Scottish Gothic Mystery Thriller

Rate this book
Wealth can buy many things.
Peace isn’t one of them.

When reclusive author Coby McTavish inherits the grand Sinclair estate, he believes his troubled past is finally behind him. But the crumbling castle of Serenity Falls hides more than family heirlooms and dusty portraits.

It hides secrets.

And something far worse.

The sudden deaths of Lord and Lady Sinclair have left the town buzzing with rumours, and Coby quickly finds himself at the centre of a murder investigation. Whispers of an ancient curse swirl through the Highlands—a vengeful spirit known as the White Lady, said to haunt the estate and punish those who betray it.

Then she arrives.

Serenity Bellingham—glamorous, ruthless, and dangerously entitled—claims to be the true Sinclair heir. Armed with charm, social media followers, and a hunger for the family fortune, she storms into Coby’s life like a designer-clad hurricane.

But as bodies, betrayals, and long-buried sins begin to surface, one terrifying question

Are the Sinclairs being murdered…
or judged?

From the mist-shrouded Scottish moors to an abandoned gold mine filled with ghosts, Coby and Serenity are drawn into a mystery older than either of them—a web of greed, vengeance, and supernatural reckoning.

And not everyone will survive the truth.

Serenity Falls is a darkly humorous, atmospheric gothic thriller filled with twists, secrets, and unforgettable characters.

A Fresh Thrill: Serenity Falls Delivers Suspense and Wit in Scottish Gothic

If I could give this book more than five stars, I absolutely would. "Serenity Falls" not only delivers its signature suspense and atmospheric Scottish gothic charm, but this time introduces an irresistible new cast that breathes fresh energy into the McTavish family's chronicles. The newcomers are fun, quirky, and surprisingly complex, perfectly complementing the beloved McTavishes and adding layers of humor and heartfelt moments to the mystery. Their interactions and adventures kept me thoroughly entertained, making each page a delight. This latest installment is a triumph—engaging, immersive, and wonderfully imaginative. Highly recommended for fans both old and new!

Serenity Falls honestly stayed in my mind long after I finished it. The atmosphere was haunting, emotional, and so beautifully written. I felt every secret, every betrayal, and every painful truth unfolding page by page.

Coby’s character felt deeply broken yet relatable, and Serenity was chaotic in the best way possible. The mystery kept pulling me in, but it was the emotions behind everything, grief, greed, fear, and guilt, that really hit me.

Such a dark, eerie, unforgettable read. Definitely one of those books that leaves you thinking about it afterwards.
