From USA Today Bestselling Author Brynne Asher comes a fake engagement where Hollywood meets small-town romance.
Faking an engagement to a small-town police chief should’ve been easy. After all, pretending is what I do for a living. The problem? Faking it with Dean Moretti turns out to be the most natural role I’ve ever played. I came to Winslet to film a movie, escape my PR nightmare, and give the tabloids time to find someone else’s life to destroy. I didn’t plan on the former Army police chief assigned to my security—especially after our first meeting involved him pulling me over for reckless driving and evading a police officer. Yeah, fun night that almost landed me in jail. When a few scandalous photos turn my security detail into my fake fiancé, suddenly I’m selling our romance to the world and pretending his hands on me are only for the cameras. But Dean is everything Hollywood isn’t—steady, loyal, protective, and a walking green flag. More importantly, he sees the real me, not the so-called America’s sweetheart the media has made me into. Just when the life we’re faking feels like a real happily ever after, ghosts from Dean’s past threaten to take it all away. Some call it the butterfly effect—one small moment that changes everything. Mine began with a fake proposal. But when the flap of a butterfly’s wings turns deadly, our real love is threatened just as fast as we found it.

Okay first, Dean already had me so interested in his character from the previous books and I just knew he was hiding some controlled chaos and I was so right. I loved seeing that control come unraveled when it had to do with Effie. And how freakin' cute was his little stalker mode in googling the crap out of Effie when she was coming to town? I loved that.
Second, that meet cute? Adorable! Honestly all of their interactions in this story were so adorable I just loved seeing the differences in their characters work together. And the protectiveness that Effie brought out in Dean was panty-melting.
I have a lot more to say but I also know that this review can easily become nothing but a rambled mess of all the moments I found ridiculously cute so I'm going to cut myself off here and leave it at, I rated this 5 Stars and if you know my reviews or me, that says a lot. I'm very tough with my 5 Stars these days and if a book gets that high it means it really touched the feels and had me devouring it.
OH MY FREAKING HEART!!! I swear, the anticipation of a new book in The Manor series is an event all on its own! The excitement, the planning for the perfect time to dig in (which usually means scheduling a sick day so I can spend the entire next day reading), and the sheer joy of finally getting to dive in. And let me tell you, this one was worth every bit of that anticipation!
Every book in this series has been wonderfully delicious, but THIS ONE! Oh my goodness, Dean and Effie were everything! I loved their meet, the reason behind their fake engagement, and my first introduction to green flags. The banter was quick and sharp, the humor had me grinning, and the steam was beyond sizzling. These two were so much fun together, and I loved every minute of watching things unfold between them.
And just when I thought I couldn't possibly love this book any more, HOLY PLOT TWIST! I did NOT see that coming! Between that surprise and getting to spend time with old favorites while falling in love with the new characters, I was having the time of my life with this one. They brought so much humor and heart to the story, and there are a few I'd love to see get their own books because I'm nowhere near ready to be done with them! Brynne, you have outdone yourself with this one!
This book was everything I was waiting for and so much more! I have been falling for Dean Moretti and I had no idea we were going to get a heroine like Effie Devaux to finally bring this powerful alpha to his knees. Watching him fall for her—so intensely, obsessively, and fiercely protective—was absolute perfection, and it made complete sense for both of them.
Tropes: * Hollywood Star / American Sweetheart x Small-Town Chief of Police * Fake Engagement / Fake Fiancée to Real Love * Ex-Military Alpha Hero x Sweet, Resilient Heroine * Found Family * Romantic Suspense . Chief of Police Dean Moretti was genuinely annoyed when he got saddled with the job of providing security for Hollywood’s sweetheart, Effie Devaux, while she’s in town filming a movie. He only reluctantly agrees as a favor to his friends and family. Their first encounter on a rain-soaked road—where Effie is literally running from her demons—isn't exactly a fairytale meeting. But the moment Dean sees past the polished celebrity persona and gets to know the real woman underneath, he makes it his absolute mission to keep her safe, protected, and happy. . Effie has been burned and betrayed far too many times in her life. Her recent tumultuous relationship with rock legend Phoenix Vale left her completely shattered, making it almost impossible for her to trust anyone. On top of that, ruthless paparazzi are endlessly haunting her every move. Her reputation has taken a beating in the press through no fault of her own, and while the entire world judges and accuses her, Effie just tries to hold her head high, survive, and protect her career. My heart broke for everything she had been through, and it made me so angry to see how unfairly she’d been treated. She desperately needed someone like Dean to remind her of her worth—a real man who could stand in front of her, shield her, and prove that not every man is an a&&hole. . To take the heat off her and calm down the media circus, Dean steps in with a bold move: throwing a fake fiancée scheme right at the paparazzi to get them to back off. But what started as a tactical distraction quickly blurs the lines. It turns into a very real, explosive connection that neither of them cannot deny. . And Dean? Oh, this man is built entirely different. Beyond being undeniably gorgeous, it’s his heart and his personality that completely stole the show. He is the ultimate alpha—possessive, controlling, and capable of burning the world down if anyone dares to threaten his woman—yet when it comes to Effie, he is so impossibly soft, gentle, and careful. The moment he decides she’s his, he goes all in with his charm, sweetness, and swoon-worthy gestures. But the second danger rears its head, he seamlessly transforms into a ruthless, bad-ass cop who will stop at nothing to guard not just Effie’s physical safety, but her fragile heart. . Between a crazy ex, literal gunfire, Hollywood missions, and dark shadows from Dean's past, this book kept me on the absolute edge of my seat. Brynne Asher masterfully weaves intricate, mind-blowing plot twists with high-stakes romantic suspense. Balancing out the intense danger is a phenomenal side cast. Their banter, warmth, and found-family dynamic add the perfect touch of humor and heart to the story. . Reading romance is so endlessly rewarding when characters like Dean Moretti exist—and heroines like Effie Devaux exist to show us how the toughest men fall the hardest.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
How do I describe this without ruining every last little surprise and bump in the road? Man, I don’t know. But I do know that this is a must read. Especially if you’ve wondered what Dean is hiding under his calm, sort of grumpy exterior. I promise you, it’s a lot. And it’s so worth the wait!
Effie is also so worth it. She’s unexpected in the best ways, has a support system she didn’t even know existed, and also has some really bad juju floating around. It’s not her fault, but everyone sure thinks it is, and when we find out what is hiding and WHO is making this all worse for her, Greer isn’t the only one ready to ride at dawn…with copious amounts of SPF on board.
This is really unputdownable. I mean that. Effie and Dean need and complete each other in ways I didn’t even begin to fathom, but I really can’t see how this could be as deservingly wonderful in the end with any other turn of events. I just sit here now and hope for more, especially since we still got to hang with some of our old favorites and have reminders of a few others that we adored, both then and now!
Butterfly Proposal is Brynne Asher at her finest! We're back at the Manor and Dean Moretti has a lot on his plate lately. Besides being the chief of police in Winslet, coaching youth sports, and other miscellaneous tasks, he's now going to assist with security for a movie that will be filmed at the Manor this summer. Dean isn't a fan of Hollywood drama and when he first meets film star Effie Devaux, he knows that his summer is going to be drama filled! Effie and Dean have no idea what fate has in store for them in this normally, quiet mountain town. I loved Butterfly Proposal so much. It has the perfect amount of action, angst, laughter and spiciness! It was told from dual POV and stands alone but I highly recommend reading the other books in the series in order because of the inter-connecting characters.
Outstanding! I knew Dean would be great and he is! Our Effie had zero trust left for people outside her small group. Dean showed her he was trustworthy. She took a leap of faith and sometimes that's what you need to do. So relatable! Love the meet cute! Fan favorite. Great characters as always. Nice to see past friends. Excellent ending to an amazing series. This book is so well written- not over the top or overdone. We got everything we love from a BA book and more!! This book deserves all the stars!!
Brynne Asher!!! What are you doing to me?! I knew I’d love Dean’s story, but wow!
Every time I think I’ve found my favourite Brynne hero, along comes another one who makes me question everything! Butterfly Proposal has every single thing I love about her writing, a strong heroine, a protective alpha, cameos, friendships, humour, action, romance and ALL the feels!!!
Effie and Dean *sigh* These two had me hooked from their very first meeting.
Effie completely stole my heart! Her quiet fierceness and resilience after everything she’s been through were incredible. She’s strong without needing to shout about it, and what I loved most was even after what she went through with her ex, how she recognised all those green flags Dean was waving! She doesn’t make him pay for someone else’s actions, she sees the man he is and puts her trust in him. I was rooting for her every step of the way!
DEAN! This man is EVERYTHING! The protectiveness, the determination, the way he falls first and doesn’t waste time fighting it! He sees Effie, knows exactly what he wants and goes for it! No messing about, no ridiculous games, just a man who knows he’s found his forever and will do anything to keep her safe and happy. The way he cares for her and supports her had me falling head over heels!
Greer deserves a special mention too! Her strength and loyalty were brilliant, and I loved how fiercely she stood by Effie, protecting her just like she promised her Dad she would!
Now, Phoenix ValeI don’t think I could have hated this man any more if I’d tried! After everything he put Effie through, just the thought of him made my blood boil. I’m not even going to pretend I wasn’t cheering when Dean got his hits in, because I absolutely WAS!!!
Portia LaRue didn’t impress me much either! The way she hounded Effie and vilified her based on lies made me so angry! Yes, she changed her mind when the truth finally came out, but that doesn’t undo what she put Effie through. I really struggled to forgive how quick she was to judge and condemn so publicly.
One of my favourite things about Brynne’s books is getting to catch up with beloved characters from previous stories! The cameos, the camaraderie, the banter and the way everyone has each other’s backs are just perfection. I never want to leave this world behind!
Brynne has this amazing ability to give me everything I want in a romance. The humour, the action that gets my heart racing, characters I become completely invested in and, most importantly, that beautiful happily ever after!
Butterfly Proposal hit me right in the feels, and I loved every second! Another brilliant addition to The Manor series and another Brynne Asher book hangover!!!
Butterfly Proposal is Brynne Asher at her absolute best! Returning to the Manor felt like coming home, but this time Hollywood is rolling into town. Dean Moretti already wears enough hats as Winslet's chief of police, youth sports coach, and all-around problem solver. The last thing he needs is a movie production disrupting his quiet summer. Then he meets film star Effie Devaux. From the start, Dean knows she's going to be trouble, but neither of them is prepared for what happens when their worlds collide in this charming mountain town. I absolutely loved this book! Brynne Asher delivers the perfect blend of romance, tension, humor, heart, and heat. Dean and Effie's chemistry is undeniable, and their journey kept me hooked from beginning to end. The dual POV adds so much depth, making it easy to fall in love with both characters. While you can read Butterfly Proposal as a standalone, I highly recommend reading the series in order. The interconnected characters make every return to the Manor even more special. This was everything I want in a small-town romance: memorable characters, sizzling chemistry, emotional depth, family and community connections, and a story that kept me turning pages late into the night. Butterfly Proposal is swoony, emotional, feel-good romance with just the right amount of angst and spice - another outstanding addition to this incredible series. Brynne Asher continues to prove why she's one of my favorite romance authors!
At the start, I thought that Effie was this weak and small person. I couldn’t have gotten that more wrong. She was gathering her strength. She was finding herself, shoring up her walls, her defenses. That is one strong woman. She just hadn’t found all her people yet, her place.
That first meeting between Effie and Dean is epic. Love it. These two are a power couple. And I don’t mean celebrity Hollywood style.
As always with a Brynne Asher book, it took just a couple of pages to get me absolutely hooked. Not a lot of sleep was found until I finished that book. And it was sooooo worth it.
So many surprises and unexpected twists. Always keeping me guessing. The chemistry between Dean and Effie is off the charts and just goals!
I love the people of Winslet. I love them more with every book. And of course the extended family from Brynne’s previous books.
I also loved the female relationships. You can never discount how important those are and they were beautifully illustrated here.
I am sad that this series is coming to an end. I won’t say goodbye to them because I’m going to read these books over and over again. And fingers crossed that these people will show up in new books as visiting guests because that is always a thrill! Butterfly Proposal is an amazing ending to this series. All the love. All the stars. Absolute must read.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Wow…where to start with this book. I loved how the book just takes off! You open at page one and you’re right in the thick of it instantly. These two will capture your hearts straight away, their honesty and goodness shine through. But Dean is one serious badas#. He seems easygoing until Effie turns up. Wow he’s a wonderfully written character. The story seems to go at warp speed and before you know it you can’t put the book down! It takes a lot of twists and turns you won’t see coming either. New and Old friends are present and it’s fabulous catching up with them. I have to say ch 14 made me lol a lot. Brilliant humour and fun to read. I won’t give anything away other than to say the epilogue and bonus scene were perfect. I can’t wait for the audible to arrive now. I can picture how they sound but can’t wait for the narrators to bring them alive. I’m sad to say goodbye to these characters but I’m hopeful they’ll pop up in future series cameos. Wonderful book Ms Asher. I can’t wait to see what’s next
I loved this book. Brynne Asher has a way with gorgeous alpha men dirty talking their way into sexy smart heroine hearts and I'm here for it! Romance suspense is my favorite and this story delivers. I work I could live full time in the universe she creates. It's a book I couldn't put down until I got to the final HEA. Always satisfying, always swoony and always the best entertainment.
I'm so sad to see the Manor series come to an end, but what a way to go! Dean Moretti took my heart and ran with it. I've been anticipating his story from the beginning, and WOW, was he magnificent!
Dean, the local chief of police in Winslet, is assigned to provide protection and security for a movie being filmed at the Manor. Once he meets the movie's star, Effie Devaux, he quickly realizes the drama won't be limited to the screen. Effie is grateful for the opportunity to film in an undisclosed location, away from her fans and the prying eyes of the paparazzi. A very public breakup with a famous rock star has turned her world upside down, and she desperately needs a chance to breathe.
I loved everything about this book, from the meet-cute in the rain to the justice so deservedly delivered. Effie starts out frantic and on edge, but watching her find her footing, stand up for herself, and discover the strength within her was such a pleasure. With Dean and the wonderful Manor staff in her corner, I found myself cheering her on every step of the way. And then there's Dean. A man who will protect, defend, and encourage her with everything he has. I have to say, he definitely gives “green flag vibes”!
Brynne Asher has created such a wonderful small town in Winslet, filled with suspense, drama, romance, plenty of steam, and the kind of found family that makes you wish you could move right in. The quirky characters and the love they share make this series something special. I especially loved watching the friendship between Effie and Harlow (Beautiful Revenge, book one) develop. It becomes such an important part of Effie's journey and her ability to stand up for herself.
What a fantastic ending to a series I've loved from the very beginning. I'm not ready to say goodbye to Dean, Effie, or the rest of the Manor family. I can only hope we'll get to visit Winslet again someday!
Butterfly Proposal is the fourth book in the Manor series, and it was just as great as all the previous ones. We are immediately pulled into the story with a rather entertaining first encounter between Hollywood star Effie Devaux and Chief of Police Dean Moretti. Dean already has a lot on his plate with his many responsibilities, so he is less than thrilled about his new role as head of security of the star of a movie being filmed in his town. But an unexpected run-in with Effie leaves him immediately intrigued, and his initial reluctance quickly turns into something much more personal.
Being Hollywood’s sweetheart is definitely not all rainbows and sunshine. Effie has been put through the wringer with a horrible ex and the tabloids are constantly invading her privacy. After being betrayed and burned too many times, her ability to trust anyone is at an all-time low. But Dean sees the real Effie and is determined to earn her trust. And once he learns what she’s been through, his protective side goes into overdrive. So many green flags with this man!
There are plenty of twists and turns throughout their story that kept me glued to the pages. Just when I thought I had things figured out, something else would happen to keep me guessing. The chemistry between Effie and Dean was undeniable, and I loved seeing Dean’s alpha and possessive side come out. Getting to see some familiar faces is always a treat, too! Overall, another great addition to the series, and I highly recommend it.
Our hot police chief with the sexy hair is here and bringing all the green flags, and I loved every minute of it. Dean has been one of our favorite recurring characters in this series, and let’s be honest, we all probably had a bit of a crush on the sexy haired police chief. He finally meets his match, and America’s sweetheart certainly gives him quite the chase, starting with their first meeting, when he pulls her over on her way to the manor…..it was priceless and hilarious. But when you meet the one, the chase is always worth it, even if it is America’s sweetheart.
Brynne Asher’s alpha’s are some of my absolute favorites ever. All male protectors that fall hard for their women, and treat them like the queens they are, and our sexy haired police chief is no exception. This was a fast paced storyline where Hollywood comes to the Manor…yes, what could possibly go wrong there. And you know Devon was enjoying all that. We get to read some of our favorites from this series, and other series of hers, which I always appreciate. And an honorable mention shoutout for The Fifth exclusives by Portia LaRue…highly entertaining and gave me lots of laughs with her over-the-top articles, that everyone just took as facts…so funny. An awesome epilogue and a hea.
Dean & Effie bring all the fun banter, chemistry, 🌶🔥🌶🔥, and suspense we've come to fully enjoy from The Manor at Winslet! I ADORE these two!! 💚💚💚
Their first meeting could have gone poorly. Their second was a bit antagonistic... 😄 But Dean saw something he wanted, someone he wanted to get to know, and he 100% gave his pursuit of Effie 100%. *grin*
Effie is definitely a sweetheart, with a strong backbone that got a little bruised before filming began on her latest film. She's healing & was looking forward to the quiet of a closed, undisclosed, set. Unfortunately, someone has other plans. Fortunately, Dean comes up with a better plan & puts that into place. 😉
I love the pacing, banter, family & friendships throughout the story. We get the guys ribbing each other & the girls getting to know each other & new friendships sliding impeccably into place as Dean sweeps his Hollywood off her feet.
I loved Dean and Effie! This novel was so much fun! I have loved all of the other novels in this series but I think this is my favorite one of the series. This novel did not disappoint. I was excited to dive into this novel and it did not let me down. From the first chapter this novel reached across the pages and grabbed my attention and held on tight the entire novel. I loved the cute way Dean and Effie met. Their chemistry was so so good! I loved the dialogue and banter. Laugh out loud funny. I love when a novel can make me laugh out loud, almost bring me to tears and leaves me with a happy heart and a smile on my face! This novel checked so many boxes for me. I didn't want this novel to end. I loved checking in with characters from the previous novels. Once I started reading I couldn't put this novel down. I did not see the plot twist coming. I literally stayed up most to the night to finish. So worth losing sleep over. I didn't want this novel to end. So so good! I can hardly wait to see what this author has coming next. Loved it!
I adore all of Brynne's books, they are consistently full of story, feeling, feel-good-ness and are easy to devour quickly or to savour. Chief Moretti wholeheartedly deserved his own happy ever after having been the bridesmaid and clean up crew for everyone else and their goings on in Winslet. It was never going to be straight forward because where on earth would the fun be in that. We get less of the wonderful supporting cast of Winslet this time around but there are snippets here and there of their own brands of interference. Some new larger than life supporting cast and a little bit of whodunnit thrown in, which I thought was going to be a twist and turn but not in the direction it went, made it the usual enjoyable escape. My only criticism would be I felt like I missed a bit at the beginning for setting the lay of the land of Dean Moretti and his motivations for why Effie was categorically going to be his girl, we know him but we don't 'know him'. It was beautiful and didn't matter in the end but it felt a bit 'just because'.
Brynne has done it again! What a perfect ending to another great series. Dean Moretti and Effie Devaux close out The Manor series, and their story is everything I could have hoped for.
When they meet, Effie has her walls up—and for good reason. Her ex is a real piece of work and has put her right in the paparazzi spotlight.
Dean is in charge of security for the movie being filmed at The Manor, and he's determined to show Effie that not all men are like her ex. But first, he has to convince her that he's nothing but green flags.
There are Brynne's usual twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat and wanting more. And the banter, as always, is top-notch!
I loved watching Dean knock down Effie's walls and seeing their relationship blossom. Dean and Effie were the perfect couple to close out The Manor series. I'm sad to say goodbye to these characters, but Brynne couldn't have given them a better send-off.
I loved everything about this!! Returning to the Manor, it’s time to learn more about Winslet’s Chief of Police, Dean. He’s been an interesting secondary character thus far, but he’s fabulous as a lead. Broody, alpha, protective … everything I want in my men. With a funny meet-cute, Dean stumbles across Effie in an unexpected way. Effie is adorable and her inner dialogue cracked me up. I loved the Hollywood drama with this one, mixed with the usual action and suspense Brynne gives us in all her novels. We get to revisit past couples while Dean and Effie live out one of my favorite tropes. Plenty of spice, mystery, banter, humor, and suspense in Butterfly Proposal! I’m sad to see this series go, but I loved every second!
I’ve been eagerly anticipating Dean Moretti’s book, and Brynne delivers. Effie Devaux is trying to escape the chaos her life has become. As a Hollywood actress, she's accustomed to the spotlight, but her ex-rock-star boyfriend is determined to make her life hell.
Dean Moretti thinks he's simply stopping another drunk driver passing through town. But after a short car chase brings him to the front of The Manor, his life will never be the same.
This book takes you on a wild ride, full of twists and turns I never saw coming. It opens with a rock star bent on revenge and paparazzi who refuse to take “closed set” for an answer.
This is the fourth installment in The Manor series, and the books just keep getting better. Brynne Asher keeps you enthralled from beginning to end.
Reading slump officially over as Brynne Asher does it again! That should be the headlines in the news today! Nothing gets me out of a reading slump like a Brynne Asher book. Dean and Effie were 😘chef’s kiss. Just exactly what I needed. Dean is everything….alpha tough guy ex military now chief of police in his small town. He is the guy everyone is going to fight over as theirs because he’s the guy all of us would want to claim as our own. Effie is the Hollywood star who, in the midst of the drama surrounding her, finds the u-turn her life needs. These 2 together are pure chemistry. I couldn’t love this book anymore. Highly recommend!
My word. This book… this book is my favorite out of the Manor Series… and that’s saying a lot since every single one is re-read material… but Dean is EVERYTHING. I knew from the minute we first met the broody Italian chief that he would be my fav. I love a man who knows exactly what he wants and just goes for it. No dancing around just straight for it. He is possessive, jealous, and so dang obsessed from day one. I ate that up!! I loved Effie (first off— love the name!) and her America’s sweetheart personality. The chemistry is off the chart and the storyline is fantastic. This is an excellent series and I can’t recommend every single Brynne Asher book enough!!! 5+⭐️
Dean and Effie are absolutely sublime! Talk about saving the very best for last. I'm sad that we are at the close of the Manor at Winslet and its wonderful cast of characters. An interesting introduction to Winslet, Effie got lost and took off when flashing lights showed up in her rearview mirror. Pulled over by the Chief of Police Dean Moretti is just the icing on the garbage cake that is Effie's life right now. Dean had no idea the beautiful woman he pulled over in the rain would also be under his protection. I loved every minute I spent with these two and how their story becomes part of the Manor's history. Can't wait to see what BA dreams up next!
Brynne Asher does it again with another fantastic installment in The Manor Series! This book is filled with characters who truly shine. From the moment these two meet, you just know they’re destined to be together forever. Of course, their journey comes with all the drama you’d expect when a movie star and a local police chief turned bodyguard find themselves falling for each other!
A fantastic 5-star read filled with chemistry, drama, and spice, with the HEA we all love. Add this one to your TBR and get ready to set your Kindle on fire! 🔥
I’ve been eagerly anticipating Dean Moretti’s book, so I was so excited to finally dive into Butterfly Proposal! I really enjoyed what I got to read and loved finally getting a glimpse into Effie and Dean’s story. I haven’t quite made it to the end yet, but I fully intend to finish their story. I was just too excited to share some love for the book on release day! Brynne Asher is one of those authors whose new releases I will always look forward to, and she’s an automatic recommendation from me!
What a fan-freaking-tastic read!! Every woman's dream is Dean Moretti. Sexy, loyal, sexy, honest, and did I mention sexy? Let Dean Moretti's green flags fly freely and let Effie soak up each and every one. These two are absolute fire together! Their chemistry is instant and white hot. The wit and banter between them is perfection. I loved every single moment.
Full of passion, wit, suspense, and love. Get ready peeps because you are about to fall head over heels for these two and their journey. Absolutely amazing 5 star read!
I absolutely loved this book. The chemistry between Dean and Effie was undeniable from the moment they met. Effie has been through so much and coming to the Manor was so much more than she hoped for. She has been through so much and she absolutely needed someone like Dean to remind her how how amazing she is. This book took me on a wild ride, and I loved every minute of it. A five star read for me
I liked Dean in the previous books but I wasn’t ready for all that he’d be once he met Effie. He embodied everything I love in a Hero. He knew what he wanted and he went after it with everything he had. Effie didn’t stand a chance of ever holding him off. I loved it!
I also loved how much the whole gang was in this book. They are the kind of friends/family you hope to accumulate in your life. Add in the excitement of the drama and I was hooked!
I am so sad this is the last of the Manor series. I have enjoyed every couple and character! Butterfly Proposal is about Dean, the Chief of Police and Effie, a Hollywood movie star. These two cross paths when security is needed for a movie being filmed at the Manor. I loved the dynamics between Effie and Dean and the banter between friends. The entertainment articles that kept us up to date on the Hollywood happenings were so fun to read. 5 Stars for Butterfly Proposal!
