I didn’t love love book 1 (Perfect Prey) but I enjoyed it a fair amount, so I was quite disappointed that book 2 didn't work for me. It was incredibly slow to start and I struggled to get past the first couple chapters. While the external plot eventually kicked in, and I liked a lot of the characters and the relationships were okay, everything that had to do with Bishop (plus Bishop and Kit) didn't work for me at all. Including Bishop in the polycule happened way, way too late in the book, a betrayal was ignored and forgiven, and it didn't much feel like Bishop even wanted Kit – more like he just didn't want to be left out. He also felt like a cardboard cutout. The other characters go through some level of character development in the two books, but Bishop was the exact same by the end of this book as he was at the start of book 1. Most why choose books has a character like this. I can understand it to a degree, but when the author has built up this specific relationship throughout, you expect more. Bishop and Kit was promised from the start. They met first, Kit fell for him before any of the others, and yet in the end their relationship felt like an afterthought, and I didn't even want Bishop in the polycule by the end. Honestly such a shame. The first time Kit and Bishop have penetrative sex is in front of the others, and Bishop doesn't even take his clothes off. He didn't during their first ever encounter either.
If I erase Bishop and that flop from my brain this is a 4 star, but since I can't do that…

“You don’t have to worry about my schedule. Trust me to tell you if I’m feeling neglected. Can I trust you to tell me, too?” Kit rocked his hips up, not getting far before Darius pinned him down. “No,” Kit drew the word out lazily. “But you can trust me to be a really obvious brat about it.”
I dont know about this one is wanted it to be more. It was dark yes but not in the way i was anticipating or promised. I liked Kits interactions with each of his men but some of them felt more friend than love for me at least. I wanted more something not sure what but it fell short for me.
Broken Boy x Vigilante x Prof. Killer x Survivor x Psycho
Can someone, anyone, please tell me why I love this books so much???
It's a weird and wonderful story, and if there is another story like this out there I haven't found/ read it yet.
Ever wondered what happens when a former detective/ now vigilante, a professional killer, a obscenely rich survivor & a psycho all fall for the same broken boy?
You can find out. (Start with "Perfect Prey" and just read both books like they are one).
The fist book sucked me right in and wouldn't let go until the last page of "Damaged Goods".
Surprisingly I loved all 5 of them (ok, Kit the most but that was expected).
They are just a lovely, murdery, mystery bunch 🩵🩵🩵🩵
I can recommend this to everyone without a second thought, even though it's not written in my favorite POV. 😽

Review for (Killers Mine-2) Damaged Goods by Vasha Crow
This story was so yummy; this book was full of kinks and heat that made my heart race, but in a great way. This story has a MMMM/M story of four men. This was my kind of story. It's about Kit, Holden, Bishop, James & Darius. The way Vasha Crow wrote the dark story that all these men share set this book out of the stratosphere. Will these men find a way to stay together and not let past secrets tear them apart? I was on the edge of my seat till the last page. I stayed up quite late so I could finish this story lol. My Kindle even hit my face several times when I nodded off, lmao. I couldn't stop reading till I knew what happened. But I got it done and loved this story. I look forward to reading more by Vasha Crow in the future. Nicole Harvey
It felt good getting back to Kit and his men. I was looking forward to their conclusion.
I did overall enjoy the book. Everyone’s story wraps up, Jame’s revenge, Kit’s dad, even Darius had a surprising wrap up to his past that could affect the present and future. I think my favorite part was Kit and Bishop finally coming together and Holden’s golden retriever obsession. I loved his “of course sweethearts”, lol, and how he always missed Kit even from coming inside the house.
The pace was a little slow for me but the story kept my interest and I was happy with the conclusion of all their paths.
The story is lacking and is horrible toxic and dark. I am a lover of toxic dark romance but this was just smut that was lacking and had no real point for the story. The storyline is tacky and lacked chemistry and growth of any type. There was no point to the story which did not flow well and was only focus on the smut and no romance what so ever. It's just a story of lust and instant NC. The author is lacking creative storyline flow and only wants to focus on the poly group action.
I’d read the first book a month or two ago, so I kind of knew what to expect going in. However, this was seriously just so much smut to very little plot. I don’t like chapter upon chapter dedicated to the lead up to sex, actual sex, and then a third chapter about the aftermath. It’s just been very tedious to get through and the plot feels like an afterthought.
The relationships are all ott and not in a way that I vibed with. Kit just kind of let things happen to him (unless that changed after I DNF’d). The pacing was meh and I was just really bored over all.

Four lethal killers. One broken survivor. And a love so dark, it’s blinding.
What an absolute whirlwind of a series—I loved every single second. This duet is a dark, delicious masterpiece of "unhinged meets heart," and the conclusion was absolutely fantastic. Watching everything come together in the end was incredibly satisfying, proving that love can be found in the most lethal places.
What makes this duet so unique is how it manages to deliver the slow and fast burn all in one. You get the immediate, scorching heat of the "fast" connections alongside the agonizingly delicious "slow" tension of the holdouts finally surrendering. The "smexy" scenes range from intense intimacy to full-group devotion, and the chemistry never falters.
The Men of San Corvo I was completely captivated by these hunters. Their primal need to protect Kit and their unwavering devotion is as swoon-worthy as it is delicious. They operate by dark codes, united by one goal: owning and worshipping Kit.
Darius (The Professional): The cold-blooded assassin who treats death like a business transaction.
Bishop (The Vigilante): The PI who became judge, jury, and executioner. Seeing the "ticking time bomb" of his restraint finally explode in the second half was a major highlight.
James (The Survivor): He remains my absolute favourite! He wears his raw soul on his sleeve, and his banter is nothing short of hilarious.
Holden (The Psycho): The wildcard who kills for the pure, chaotic fun of it. He moved up to a close second place for me in this book—his brand of madness is just addictive.
Kit is beautifully broken, a soul hollowed out by anxiety and the shadow of his father’s abuse. He spent years living in terror, but being taken by these men was the turning point of his life. Seeing how his men supported and loved him unconditionally through the finale was everything I didn't know I needed. For the first time, Kit isn't just surviving; he is truly seen and cherished. He no longer has to look over his shoulder because he knows his four hunters would gladly paint the world red to keep him safe.
Final Verdict This was a wild, high-stakes ride filled with hilarious banter, visceral action, and a found family that is as terrifying as it is protective. If you want a story where the "villains" would literally burn the world down for their man, you need to read this immediately! I loved the way it all came together—a perfect end to an unforgettable duet.
To confirm you need to have read book 1 before starting this, it cannot be read as a standalone. I’d fortunately read the first book a couple of weeks ago so it was fresh in my mind as to the outstanding points in the overarching plot.
Do we find out who killed James’s family - yes. Was it a complete surprise, yes! I didn’t see that curveball coming. I liked how it wasn’t dragged out, it gets resolved by about 55-60% in and then Bishop and Kit’s past comes back to bite them, so that takes up the remainder of the book.
Relationship development is good. Bishop took his time but finally felt settled enough to go all into the group. I liked that from book 1 and was glad that it wasn’t resolved early in this book, he still thought things through. All the guys remained distinct and individual so even though we had 5 in total, it didn’t feel like we couldn’t connect with everyone.
Now Kit has the best development, he still has trust issues but I felt he tried hard to open up. It was kinda forced on him in the end due to plot reasons but I think he would have got there on his own. Also lifestyle wise he grew - did a list of tasks to achieve such as learn to drive/get his GED, and that growth was great.
Could it have been better? Surprisingly I thought we could have had a touch more sex, I think we had maybe 1 x one on one scene with Kit and each of the guys and one group scene. I didn’t want it each chapter but maybe more intimacy - cuddles in bed/on the sofa for example.
Overall it was a satisfying conclusion for me. I’d be happy to read more books with the group as with their job skills - PI/Assassin/Security firm CEO it would be something the author could explore.
I did get this as an ARC from gayromancereviews.com but was intending to read anyway so thought I might as well grab the ARC. My review is completely my own, please feel free to check my profile out as I’m pretty honest if I don’t like something!
Damaged Goods by Vasha Crow was such an intense and addictive read. This is definitely a book you need to read after Book 1, as it continues the story directly and would be very confusing as a standalone.
This book follows Kit, Holden, Bishop, James, and Darius, and their complicated but compelling relationship dynamic. The story is dark, emotional, and full of twists, and I found myself completely hooked from start to finish. I stayed up far too late just to see how everything would unfold because I needed to know what happened next.
One of the biggest questions from the first book finally gets answered here when we learn who killed James’s family, and that reveal definitely surprised me. Once that storyline is resolved, the focus shifts more toward the group itself and the past that Bishop and Kit are still dealing with.
I really enjoyed the character development in this book. Bishop takes his time deciding where he truly stands with the group, which felt realistic after everything they had been through. Kit’s growth stood out the most to me. He is still dealing with a lot of trust issues, but seeing him slowly open up and work toward improving his life was really rewarding.
Despite having five main characters, they all felt distinct and easy to connect with, which is impressive. Their chemistry and complicated dynamic kept the story engaging the whole way through.
Overall this was a dark, twisty, and very compelling continuation of the series. The characters, the tension, and the emotional stakes kept me turning pages late into the night. If you enjoy darker stories with complex relationships and plenty of twists, this series is definitely worth checking out.
Can I just start by saying that I LOVE these guys!! Kit and his men are literally the "chef's kiss"! I was completely hooked on the first book and this one has just solidified me as a permanent fan of Vasha Crow! Aside from the amazing characters, the superb world building, the intense chemistry, the scorching hot 😉, and the addictive storyline, the author seamlessly moves from one book to the next with no loss of momentum or gaps in the story. It's a fluid move that literally picks up exactly where the first book ends and keeps you firmly in the "now" and doesn't lose stride. The overall storyline is slightly dark and a bit unhinged but that's its draw. You really make a connection with the characters and get pulled into their complex dynamic. Kit - oh, I wanted to hug him so much! The trauma that he's had to endure and overcome - just 😭! James just cracks me up! He's such a himbo at times and then you get a glimpse of his intelligence and darkness and it's 😲☠️💜! Darius and Bishop are more stoic but show a definite softness for Kit and Holden - Holden is a dichotomy of twisted and dark with a desire for romance and Kit's attention, and it's weirdly both psychotic and sweet. 🤔 To say that I love these books would be an understatement and I can't stress enough that if you like dark, twisted stories with addictive characters and all kinds of plot twists, then you absolutely want to read these! 10/5* Just fantastic!!
The Killers Mine series is one that I would reread, especially if I'm in the mood for MM+. Rank this a 3.5
As far as the story goes, Crow had a lot of build-up, which I generally like, but I felt like the resolution of the situations with Kit, not to mention James, came a little bit fast. I think my ideal situation would have been a third book, so those situations could move at a less rushed pace.
Outside of that, the story was interesting, though I think that a lot of the "surprises" didn't feel like surprises to me. I don't mind that, however. For me, it means that Crow laid the puzzle pieces out correctly. I never got the vibe that this was really supposed to be a mystery duet, so I don't mind a lack of shock.
When it comes to Kit and his men, I do like them all. It was nice getting to see Bishop get into the mix, as I think his steadying presence provided some more balance to their little found family. Holden, James, and Darius all have their own concealed craziness, so the anchor definitely helps round out their relationship dynamic.
I do wish that there could have been a little more on-page time with getting to know each of them, but I do feel like I could tell them apart, so Crow did create some boundaries between what they each sound like, think like, etc.
Overall, I enjoyed the duet. Is it on my top ten reads list? No. But it's something I'll have a good time revisiting.
I loved this so much! It's been a long time since the first book for me but I got into this almost immediately and quickly remembered all the guys. I had trouble with Holden in the first book but he quickly turned into my favourite of the boyfriends in this one, I love his pure (if slightly unhinged) devotion. This book concludes the story and I loved the HEA.
I had forgotten how funny this author is and the interactions between all the MCs made me laugh a lot. It's a really good balance of external plot and romance and I loved the way each of the the relationships between Kit and his men feel equal and balanced, they are all important and the author shows that. Kit especially develops throughout the duology, he's so numb at the beginning of the first book and it's amazing to compare that with how he is in the HEA. I went back and read several bits of the first book, both to refresh my memory and because I wanted to, and I was really impressed that the MCs stay consistent but also developed throughout. Highly recommend, especially if you can binge both books, and I'm excited for what this author might write next. This series really worked for me.
What a chaotic, hilarious, and surprisingly heartfelt conclusion to this duet.
Picking up after Kit survives (and romances) his latest kidnapper, the real challenge becomes blending Holden into an already complicated web of killers, secrets, and unresolved tension. The dynamic between Kit and Bishop is especially sharp, all flirting and distrust, while James and Darius’s buried past threatens to unravel everything.
Holden absolutely shines here. His slightly unhinged, fiercely devoted energy turns from questionable to irresistible, and the balance between all the relationships feels intentional and equal. No one fades into the background — each connection matters.
The humor is razor-sharp (murder scrapbooks and emotional support sandwiches included), but it never undercuts the emotional growth. Watching Kit evolve from numb and detached to fully invested in his messy, murderous family is incredibly satisfying.
Dark, funny, and full of heart, this delivers a well-earned HEA. Highly recommend.
Yeah... Holden is definitely my favorite character. What a supportive, obsessed and unhinged man! It's impossible not to love him.
Boy I've been waiting for this book- and I wasn't disappointed. I had to remember what happened in book one, so it took me a few chapters to really get back into it, but when it clicked, I enjoyed myself way too much! And the slow burn with Bishop within the harem? Chef's kiss.
I won't lie and pretend that Kit's secretive behavior wasn't annoying, because it definitely was. I really had to look past it because it *pissed me off*. However, each time a little truth was revealed by any of our MCs felt like a breath of fresh air! It took a while, but they eventually got there.
I enjoyed the book, and I'm sooo satisfied with how things ended! I'm glad I waited.
I recieved a free copy of this book and this is my honest review
'James was mad, yeah, but the good kind of mad. “Am I in trouble?” Kit asked, tilting his chin. James always liked the way that move exposed Kit’s throat. Sure enough, James’s eyes flickered down. “You enjoy being in trouble too much.” “You should teach me a lesson.” Kit slipped a knee between James’s thighs. “Otherwise, the only lesson I learned is that my plan worked.” James loosened his grip and straightened Kit’s tank top. “It worked,” he admitted grudgingly.'
I loved this book and a great conclusion to this duet. It continues perfectly from where book one left off. I love all the guys- the MMMM/M dynamic is a dream read for me- especially with the dark theme. Fast paced, suspenseful, and I liked the banter and humor interwoven in the story. Liked their different personalities and the delicious chemistry. I was so invested in these guys- completely hooked. I couldn't out it down. 5 stars
I read book one over 2 years ago and patiently waited for book two and I thought it was never coming, I was so surprised and excited when I saw it was finally getting released and the wait was not disappointing. Book 2 picks up right where book 1 left off. The story and plot continued to be just as good, if not better. It pulled me right back into their world. Kit, James, Darius and Bishop are all great and lovable from the start. For me Holden wasn’t my favorite but he did grow on me some and he def has his place in the group and gives Kit something he needs. You must read book 1 first or you will be completely lost as to what is going on in book 2.
I received this ARC from GRR and these are my honest opinions.
I think book 2 was even better than book 1 🤭. I feel the series can safely end here but if the author wanted to revisit they still can. All loose threads in the lives of the MCs were all tied up. James got his, Darius cut himself loose, Bishop got his and also finally got the boy, Holden was the most stable 🙂↔️ and last but most important character of all, Kit got rid of the cause of his monsters. I worried that Holden’s obsession would fade but it never wavered, Kit had a TSTL moment but luckily he was caught. Bishop when he pointed the gun straight at James 🫣🤭, James and Kit I think faced it the roughest with their parental history and Darius worried us for a bit there but luckily everything worked out. Kudos, Vasha Crow, please keep them coming.
I first picked up this series when it was still on kindle vella and i fell in love with Kit and his ever-growing harem, so i was really interested to see where their story took them and for them to finally get their happy ending. Overall i think this book was fun; it wasn't my favorite by any means but i did enjoy the story and i found the characters entertaining enough that i liked reading about them and wanted to see them win. I think the plot of this story was captivating and the relationship dynamics were cute. The spice was decent, although a bit repetitive at times. I'm interested to see what comes next from this author.
I just read ‘Perfect Prey’ this past October or November not knowing that ‘Book 2’ was on its way. I seem to be in a dark themes phase, so this just fit right in. I do think that the book went on unnecessarily long, I found myself feeling like this had become an assignment vs. reading for enjoyment.
I did love meeting up with all the men again, I have a soft spot for Bishop.
Grateful for the resolution and the thoughtful detail on how the dark part of the story gets its end. What a tangled web these men weave. Also grateful for the twisted happy ending for our guys.
I received this book as an ARC and am voluntarily leaving my review.
Gonna need a bigger bed... Stalking is a love language... Dark rom-com vibes Murder and humor
Phenomenal MMMM/M harem duet! I loved everything about the dynamic between Kit, Bishop, Darius, James, and Holden. Four unalivers completely obsessed with one broken survivor. Unhinged and so delicious, this was addictive AF. Read it for the banter alone, absolutely hilarious.

Thank you, GRR and Vasha Crow, for the opportunity to read this book
If you enjoy protector romances, you can't afford to miss this duo of Killers Mine. Kit needs protection, love and care as much as anyone ever has from the abuse he's suffered and he gets not one protector but four. Not just any four either, four men who have killed and wouldn't hesitate to do so again. Each of the four is deadly, but their interactions with Kit are wonderfully varied, differing in how fast they get together as well as the distinctive tone of their interactions. The author has done a beautiful job of making every character distinct and intriguing on their own as well as in the way they operate with Kit and with each other. A great, dark ride with heart.
It’s been a bit over a year since I read the first book and it was really nice to jump back in with Kit and his gang.
The pacing was super fast was so I gobbled this up really quickly. I loved seeing the relationships in a more stable situation but there was still enough tension with kit keeping his past a secret that it never felt stale or boring.
The spice was also top notch and we get to explore new dynamics with Holden now officially thrown in the mix.
All in all this was a really satisfying sequel and conclusion to kit’s story
Damaged Goods is the second book in the Killers Mine series. In my opinion this series is best read in order. This is an MMMM/M story so if poly groups aren't your thing, this book might not be for you. We are back with Kit, Holden, James, Darius, and Bishop for more of the story. I couldn't put this book down once I started it. It was great to get back to this story and watch the guys build relationships. There was plenty of steam. I loved the action in the story. I really enjoyed this book. I would definitely recommend this book and series. received a free review copy
I really enjoyed both this book ans the series as a whole. The characters were all very different and all had their unique personalitytraits and parts in Kit’s life. I’m not all that into Darius, but he does a good job in Kit’s life. Holden is fucked in the head, but we love him. I enjoyed the storylines and Kit’s closed-offedness that slowly wore off.
I felt that the timelines weren’t that rushed, like suddenly a month has passed or a few weeks, and I love that because I’m not about the insta-love, and hate when the whole story is done in a week. Insta-lust is high in these books though, and I’m down for that.
This is such a great duet but must be read in order. This book wrapped everything up so nicely.
We have 4 ruthless killers and little Kit. Kit is so broken, he has had a hard life. The best thing that ever happened to him is when these men came into his life. They are obsessive and protective of kit and it’s the only thing that unites them.
Tropes: Dark, Poly, BDSM, Age gap, abuse, Obsessive, Stalking, 4x killers/assassin, Unhinged, Found Family, Hurt Comfort, Possessive,
This is the second book in the Killers Mine series and it really should be read in order. This book picks up from where the first book ended. This is the story of kit, Holden, James Darius and Bishop. I enjoyed watching as this MMMM/M book slowly developed interconnecting relationships. There is plenty of action and steam to enjoy along the way. I received a complementary advanced review copy of this book from the author and I am voluntarily leaving a review. The book is well written and easy to read. I really enjoyed this book. Looking forward to more books by this author.
Well, thank God not another incident happened with Kit cuz atp I think he would've just keep adding men to his harem.
Book one was better imho, and I expected more from this one.
It is dark, that's not the problem, but not too much? Idk why for me the harem did not work this time. Some felt more like friends and I feel like I Kit didn't get enough time with them to make it feel like a relationship.
Also, I feel like the spice was not enough. With 5 guys in the mix you'd expect more but... oh, well.
Overall I didn't have a bad time reading this, but I certainly expected more.
Damaged Goods is the second book in the killers mine series, you must read book 1 first.
Book 2 picks up with Kit continuing his romance with James, Darius and Holden but bishop is the hold out. I will say right away the reason I gave 4 stars was because most of the book was James, Darius and kit. The others seemed like an after thought.
There is quite a bit of action as some of the men's past comes back to haunt them. And quite a bit of spice.
The story picks up immediately following book 1 (note, this is not a standalone, you need to read book 1 first). The subplot about the rat king is where things fell short a little for me. The twist was interesting but it was all resolved a bit too easily. As long as you take it with a pinch of salt and don’t dwell on it (after all, we are talking about fiction here) then it doesn’t detract from the story as a whole.
