This was so great to have while we were on safari. With places to check off animals you have seen, practical advise ofr the visit, and plenty of pace for journaling, this is a must for anyone seeking to treasure their adventure.

This 2008 edition was given to me as a gift by the African Portfolio company who customized 3 safari trips to various countries of Africa in the past 6 years. In previous years, they had given me previous editions. This one is so improved. Mammals, birds, reptiles and frogs, insects, trees, and country maps, are now all in color which aids identification so much! Space is given for you to keep a daily journal and checklists of what and who you have seen. There is ample information for the traveler about climate, electricity, customs, animals, and basic words to use in various African languages. In other words, this is like an Almanac for those who intend to go or do go on Safari. Definitly recommended.
