She's chasing the story that could save thousands. He's the only one who can save her.
Investigative journalist Chloe Silver has spent three months in the jungles of Myanmar documenting what she believes is the story of her career. Children are dying. Families are being systematically poisoned. And the evidence points to something far more sinister than contaminated water or disease.
Someone is testing a bioweapon. And Chloe has the proof.
But when she discovers the conspiracy reaches beyond remote villages to a global network of terrorists, she realizes she's stumbled into something deadly. Terrorist mastermind Alan Martin doesn't just want her silenced—he wants her dead.
Because Chloe is Selah Silver's twin sister. And that connection makes her a perfect pawn in his revenge.
Easton "Skeet" Blackwood is a Black Swan operative with a extract Chloe before Martin finds her. But the brilliant, fearless journalist has no intention of being rescued. She's on the trail of truth, and nothing—not even an undercover operative with a protective streak and a smile that makes her forget to breathe—will stop her from exposing the plot.
The problem? Alan Martin is always one step ahead. And this time, he's not just hunting—he's setting a trap.
When Skeet proposes they go undercover as honeymooners to infiltrate a medical conference where the bioweapon is being sold, Chloe agrees. It's the perfect cover. Professional. Strategic. Completely fake.
Except the feelings aren't fake anymore. And neither is the danger.
Racing through the jungles of Thailand and the streets of Sicily, they'll have to trust each other—or watch thousands die.
Because Alan Martin's bioweapon isn't just ready—it's about to go global. The aerosolized poison that's been tested on villages can now be deployed anywhere. In crowds. In ventilation systems. In cities where millions could die with a single breath.
And the only people standing between Martin and mass murder are a journalist who's learned that courage gets people killed, and an operative haunted by a mission that went wrong the last time he cared too much.
When the hunter becomes the hunted, can they stop a conspiracy before it's too late? Or will the story that could save thousands cost them everything?

I can't help be amazed at the gifts God has delighted me with - a wonderful husband, four amazing children, and the opportunity to write for Him.
I've been writing as long as I can remember - I won my first book writing contest in first grade! Over the years, writing has become, for me, a way to praise God and see Him at work in my life.
Although I have a degree in Mass Communications from the University of MN, my real writing experience started when I penned the The Warren Report - a bi-monthly newsletter that detailed our ministry highlights.
Living in Russia meant I never lacked for great material - and those experiences naturally spilled out first into devotionals and magazine articles and finally into my first published story, "Measure of a Man," in the Tyndale/HeartQuest, Chance Encounters of the Heart anthology.
Susan and husbandI grew up in Wayzata, a suburb of Minneapolis, and became an avid camper from an early age. My favorite fir-lined spot is the north shore of Minnesota - it's where I met my husband, honeymooned and dreamed of living. The north woods easily became the foundation for my first series, The Deep Haven series.based on a little tourist town along the shores of Lake Superior. I have to admit - I'm terribly jealous of Mona, the heroine of my first full-length book, Happily Ever After, a Christy Award Finalist published in 2004 with Tyndale/Heartquest.
Our family moved home from the mission field in June 2004 -- and now we live in the beautiful town I'd always dreamed of! God has amazed me anew with His provision, and blessings -- and allowed me a season when I can write full time for Him.
I 'm delighted you've stopped in to visit. My hope is that you'll be blessed and encouraged by soul-stirring stories of regular people interacting with a God who loves them.
I'd love to hear from you! I love getting mail, especially from readers and I welcome your questions and comments. Write to me at susan@susanmaywarren.com. Book two, EAST is a wild ride in Thailand. Where the story picks up with Selah’s twin sister, Chloe Silver works as journalist and always travels to get the story. Now she’s in Thailand trying to get the story about bioweapon plot and why so many children are dying . She doesn’t believe it’s just from natural causes either. Something more sinister is here at play. Terrorist, Alan Martin is back and he is pretty much at the helm of this systemic crisis. Easton “Skeet” Blackwood is a Jones Inc operative who is in a mission to save Chloe from herself and bring her home. But the plans go awry when they pose as newlyweds in the jungles of Thailand. I couldn’t put this book down & didn’t want it to end.
This story followed on well from the first one. We got some more of Alan’s backstory. Chloe was chasing a dangerous story when Skeet came to the rescue. Of course the situation was way bigger than they initially thought, and they needed the rest of the team’s assistance. There was plenty of action and suspense, character development, some faith elements, and two people learning that leaning on God and each other made them stronger than doing everything their own way. The ending of this story led straight into South, which promises to continue the danger and excitement.
Oh my! My head is still spinning. Definitely another can’t-put-down book from Susan May Warren. The spark between Chloe and Skeet zaps off the page through nonstop action and suspense. I wish I didn’t have to wait for book 3. Highly recommend. I purchased the book directly from the author’s website.
East was such a fun ride! I felt as if I was right there in Thailand along side these so-easy-to-root-for characters! So many highlight worthy exchanges. Loved getting more of the Silver family’s history and can’t wait to see where this series takes us next.
