Hmmm I’m torn, I really liked this story and was hooked from the start with all the emotional angst and growth going on. I couldn’t put it down, finishing in a couple days.
BUT there was so many contradictions that really bugged me. For example February was mentioned numerous times for the first half then all of a sudden it’s all about October/autumnal colours etc despite mentioning a few times the MC had only known each other 7 week! Where did that time go? Do they hate summer and just time travelled?! Chloe brought up her younger brother, who became a younger sister. Both MC got a flight home Thursday and then woke up to the perfect Sunday 🧐 A massive deal was made about Chloe taking the ex husbands key back, later on he lets himself back in with said key as ‘he’s always had a key’🤯 The odd slip I can get by but all these inconsistencies ruined what could of been a great book, the last 20% just seemed to be full of them on every other page…Also do parents routinely leave their 4 and 10 year old home alone for hours till they get home from work…

what family looks like.
Your life has fallen apart, divorced from a narcissist, 2 angry children with behavior issues thinking their mother doesn’t care. You’ve been through 4 nannies in 18 months the last leaving with no notice just leaving the kids with your 74 year old doorman or is he 78 doesn’t matter you now have another problem to resolve. Then there’s your job as CEO resolving everyone else’s problems. Amazingly you found the perfect new nanny the kids love her, she taken you sterile condo and made it feel like a home. Everything is better than fine until your narcissistic ex husband threats to petition the court for full custody because you’ve fallen in love with the nanny.
Everyone should find a partner like Chloe. Someone who sees, supports, accepts you with your faults. Great book. Loved the characters especially Leo and Daisy.

This was very cute.
Elena’s growth throughout the book was great. The little details like the shaking hands and forgetting to eat really helped flesh out how stressed out she was. Daisy and Leo stole my heart. This was a great book.

A delightful Sapphic romance. The CEO and the nanny is a bit of a cliche but Aurora gives the story emotion and depth and a little heat. Well written with wonderful characters. Loved it. Highly recommended.
