Glory Blast

Short in size, Two Bit Higgins beats up the much bigger Dandy Barker in a bar fight in an southern Arizona gold mining town. He is then named a deputy sheriff, also showing how dangerous he actually was with a gun when Barker comes back for revenge. Pretty typical western short story, although the mystery of the main character & the ending were both better done than normal. I believe the end credits said it was first published in a western magazine in the mid 1930's. Far better than I'd expect from that. Well read, too. Only took 45 minutes.
