For many who have previously read the rest of the Fallen Angels series this is the book they have been waiting with bated breath for, Travis's story. The fans spoke and Tracie answered. This is an insight into Travis's life before he met Robert and familiar tales told from his point of view.

Travis grew up in poverty, his family, originally from Ireland, had moved to New York to escape his Fathers past. His Father was a raging drunk and his brother was following in his fathers footsteps, they were abusive and aggressive towards the whole family. We never really knew the full extent of Travis's past until now and it will break your heart what he goes through.

When he finally escapes he is left feeling alone and abandoned by the one family member he felt he could trust, his sister. Finding himself on the street Travis has to learn to adapt and grows up fast, however he still has an element of innocence about him.

As much as I have previously read about how Travis and Robert met I was still hooked. Reading from Travis's point of view gave us new insights and we see how much respect Travis has for Robert. Brothers in all but blood they truly are.

Now I've always been more of a fan of the dark and brooding Robert but I have developed a soft spot for the cheeky Travis. As much as he is a ladies man he does have a sensitive heart. Like Robert he has gone through so much but he is a better man for it. I was surprised by his reaction to Brooke but glad that he has his "Bro's" best interests at heart.

I really felt for Travis and really hope that he gets his HEA. He is a good man, loyal and trusting.

I never seem to tire of Tracie's work and this is another fantastic book. I've said it before and I will say it again, I really do not want to say good bye to these characters, they have become like family.

Favorite Quotes:

I think that was one of the things that bonded us – we knew without the need for words.

There was more to both of us and we accepted that in each other.

My Review:

I adore Tracie Podger and want to read every word she has ever scribbled down. I had read the first three Fallen Angel books and knew that Travis’ story would be a sad one, but the end result was far and above even my highest expectations. Ms. Podger has a gift for poignant writing and the uncanny ability to paint vivid pictures with her words. She squeezed my cold heart and had my usually dry eyes stinging with doleful tears. As always, her work was well written, enthralling, easy to follow, and extremely moving. Her Fallen Angel characters are unusual, fully formed, and whether I want them to or not - draw me and don’t let go. I am hopelessly addicted to this series and already anxious for the next volume.

This is a review of a pre-publication copy of the book. I was delighted to be asked to review this latest offering from an author I very much enjoy reading.

Travis is the latest in Tracie Podger’s Fallen Angel series, and it’s past time he got a book of his own. He’s always been my favourite character, and I was looking forward to learning more about his past. Travis is the sunny foil to Robert’s darkness, the Sundance Kid to Robert’s Butch Cassidy: his right-hand-man, the one who’s always been there for him ( and vice versa).

Travis narrates from the get-go, and if some of this story is not a complete surprise to those who’ve been following the series, there’s still plenty here to keep your attention. The story’s a lot darker and edgier than Fallen Angel I, and that’s in keeping with its main character and his life experiences.

Travis is endearingly straight-up, there’s not an ounce of deviousness in him, and this makes him an easy victim of childhood abuse. His sister’s attempt to save him goes disastrously wrong and he finds himself living on the streets in a city he knows nothing about. Enter Robert Stone – as young and lost as Travis, but somehow more mature, more capable – he knows exactly what he wants out of life and proceeds to make it happen. Travis isn’t exactly along for the ride – he’s firmly in control of his own life – but there’s no doubt that Robert is the leader here.

Travis’s early experiences with sex are lovable and humorous, something I wasn’t expecting given the grittier aspects of the story. There’s plenty here for lovers of erotica. I was disappointed he didn’t end up with anything resembling the happy-ever-after / steamy romance that Robert is experiencing, but it looks to me as though the door is open for Travis to reveal more in future books. I’m sure he has plenty more to say.

5 Stars!!!

I was given this book to read in turn for an honest review!!!

Travis Curran fled his life in New York to free himself from the abuse at the hands of his father and brothers. He spent his teenager years living on the streets of Washington DC. How did Travis come to meet Robert his brother in all but blood and why did he become the wealthy, flirtatious, mysterious man he is today?

Tracie Podger truly excelled with Travis’ story, from the first chapter she has you enthralled into the world of Travis Curran. If you think you can’t possibly love Travis or Robert anymore than you already do, you are in for one hell of a treat! In this book we get to see a different side to Robert, the fun, caring and dedicated man who Travis calls brother. Travis’ story is one of anguish, loneliness, discovery, loyalty and fun, with some sexy HOT moments thrown in for good measure! Travis is a strong independent carefree man who deep down is yearning for the love of a good woman. Tracie did Travis’s story justice; she gave him the voice, we fans have been begging for; a chance for us to get to know the man who Robert Stone calls brother.

If you have read all or some of the Fallen Angel series so far you are going to want to read Travis’ story. If you are a fan of contemporary romances with humour and suspense you will absolutely love the Fallen Angel series by Tracie Podger!

Another important player in the Fallen Angels series tells their story. We finally find out about the quiet and reclusive Travis. A story I have been waiting to read! Of course, Tracie Podger did not disappoint us fans!!

Travis is Robert's brother and most trusted ally. Hearing their story from Travis's heartbreaking point of view made this book bittersweet. While Robert has always held himself more reserved, Travis was naive. Travis showed us his vulnerable side, from childhood to young man. With Robert and Evelyn's help, he turned his street smarts and loyalty into a life he could be proud of. His only missing piece is someone to share that life with.

It is no secret I'm a huge fan of Ms. Podger and her novels. This is definitely no exception. My heart opened up even more to Travis and his life. I was especially heart broken when he showed his vulnerability towards Robert shortly after meeting Brooke. That showed us readers what type of soul and heart Travis possess. That scene has become a favorite of mine from the entire series.

Travis is not to be missed if you have read the Fallen Angel series. It compliments the bigger picture of Robert and Brooke, casting their family bond even tighter.

Just when I think this series cannot get any better, Tracie Podger proves me wrong.

Travis is a favourite character of mine from the Fallen Angel series. Don’t get me wrong…I love Robert Stone but Travis has a special place in my heart.

Suffering abuse at the hands of his father and brothers, Travis flees home at 11. Due to be reunited with his sister, Travis is left alone on the streets of Washington, where he meets Robert Stone. They form a friendship that has them become brothers in all but blood. They are found by Evelyn, who take the two of them under her wing and becomes their “sister”. She helps them find work with her father, Joe and this starts off a series of events that will change Travis’s life.

This book was brilliant and intense. I felt Travis’ anger, fear, resentment and love to his “family” ie, Robert, Evelyn and Joe. He is a multifaceted character. He has all the usual emotions you would expect from one who has had a rough start in life but he is also fiercely loyal and protective to those he loves. He is also HOT and sexy and is incredibly charismatic. Yes, that is why I love him!

This lovely by the incredibly talented Tracie Podger gets five stars from me. (But in my heart it deserves 100!)

Wow speechless and amazing to here the other side of Travis Curran
His spent his childhood being physically abuse by his Dad and his Brothers.
His Father had a serious drink problem which led to violence. He liked to take problems out on Travis his Mum or Aillen.
His had kept him alive.
His sister told him he would have to escape to DC with dan (boyfriend/friend) and she would be along shortly.
Well she never did turn up and Travis had to lived on the streets That's where he met and found Mr Robert Stone.
Will Travis ever be able to forget the past and bury his demon's.?
Tracie Podger wow you sees to amaze me and have done it again and brought out another amazing book.
I wish I could give it more star's.
It was amazing to hear Travis story and piece together his story.
I wanted to reach out and hug him, at one point I had tears
I new Travis would become strong in his own ways.

Obviously, I've been in love with Fallen Angel since the first time I read it. Robert stole my heart, with each book, and Travis, well he's Rob's best friend, and of course I like him too. But, I knew Rob's story, as well as Brooke's story, and yeah, Evelyn's too. But Travis, nothing, except for the little details I got on the previous books.

When I found out that Tracie was going to write about him, I was happy, because I knew Travis had a dark past, a horrific one, actually, that made him the way he was. So, of course, as the book-junkie (sorry, if the nickname is awful) I started counting the days until I could get my hands on him

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC from Tracie, asking for an honest opinion. So, that's why I'm here.

What can i say about Travis? Well, let's just say that his story is as sad as Rob's.

Travis was born and raised in US, but his entirely family are expat from Ireland, apparently his old man was involved in some ugly stuff, and was forced to leave his country, along with his wife and kids.
Travis lived in a violent house. His father beat his mother, his sister and his older brother. He was drunk all the time, and he used his family to release his anger and frustrations. Alongside his dad, Travis oldest brother, Paddy, enjoys beating his sister and Travis.
When Travis is 11, his sister arranges for him to leave the house, with the help of a friend, where she's going to join him afterwards.
That's how Travis ends living in DC, though, his sister's plans were for him to live in a house, that plans crash, when the friend is arrested due some drugs problem, and Travis is left with no other choice but to live on the cold streets of DC, alone.
He learns to live on the streets, he learns to survive, he learns about things no child should know about. And that's how he gets to know Robert.
They bond inmediately, they become friends, brother in life, which for me, happens to be more important that a brotherhood by blood.
They fight together, they watch each other backs, and they grow up, on the streets.
But one day, everything changes, and both of them ends up, under Joe's wing.
Travis tells us his story as a boy, as a teenager, and as a man. He's so funny, so easygoing, that you won't be able to not love him. But, he also has his demons, the ones that keeps him from getting settled, to have a real life.

I don't want to tell too much, because I really believe everyone should read this book. Not because it's a love story, but because it shows that sometimes you don't have to live your life based on the cards you've been handled. No, you have to live your life as you want. Ok, maybe Travis took that to the next level. But let's be honest, what would we do, if with 11 years old, we're alone on a city, with no family, no money, no place to live? I'd like to believe that I'd be as strong as Travis was, but I'm not so sure.

Travis was able to overcome his, more likely, destiny. He made a life for himself. He and Rob were able to grow into amazing, caring, loving men. Yes, they were kind of criminals, but still, they're loyal to their family, they take care of each other, and let's not forget how Evelyn helped.

One thing that I loved about Travis story, actually there are many things I loved; it's how he reacts when Rob falls in love with Brooke...honestly, this is something you won't want to miss...It's weird to say the least, but at the end, you understand why he reacts as he did, what he sees on Brooke, what he feels for her.

If I were able to give a grade to this book it will be A++++.

So, if you're looking a book about a man that has to overcome a life full of challenges, #Travis is the book you're looking for. And if you read #Travis, you might as well read every book on #FallenAngelSeries and you will see, why I love those characters as much as I do.

Tracie Podger as usual, you excel on this book, but that doesn't surprise me! Thank you, for giving me the chance to review #Travis and for writing such an amazing story, not just for Travis, but for Brooke, Rob and Evelyn as well

Arc copy provided by author in return for an honest review:

Travis is an important character in the Fallen Angel series of books by Tracie Podger. He is the best friend and childhood friend of Robert Stone.

The pair grew up on the streets, they stole what they could to survive, they lived by their wits and Robert was the brains behind the team. Both boys had horrific childhoods, Travis' family fled from Ireland when he was still nice and comfy inside his mother's stomach. Travis' father was an abusive drunk, his brothers were no better, I guess like monkey sees monkey does, they followed their father's violent footsteps. The only person Travis had at home was his sister, but even that changed one night when all hell broke loose. Travis was forced to flee and leave his family behind, better to do that than die at the hands of his brother or father!!!

Left alone in a big city he lived on the streets, and that is where he met Robert. The pair fast became friends and together they survived, till Travis got very ill, Robert attempted to steal a purse from a lady called Evelyn (something he never did before). The theft failed somewhat and he handed back the purse to a distraught Evelyn and he explained why he needed to steal her money. Enter Evelyn into the boys lives. After helping to get Travis better, Evelyn became like a mother to the boys.

Travis loved Robert like a brother, they were tied together by their history, by their need to care for each other, living on the streets was not going to be the way they lived forever Robert Stone had plans, big plans for him and Travis, and one day he would ensure those plans worked, but till then they had to do what they could to live.

The story is enthralling, you are gripped from the very first book, and each book thereafter. Travis' story is a very necessary part that has to be told, it shows how the boys became so close, it tells their fears, their highs, their lows. There is a dark side to the pair, they are secretive, dangerous, and damn sexy. Yep there is hot sex involved so for over 18s only.

I fell in love with the Fallen Angel series when I read book 1, promptly bought the others, each book is fantastic, so well written, has you gripped page by page. The boys grow into men, hot sexy men, who melt your heart with their story. You can almost feel their pain, feel like you want to grip them and hug them close and tell them everything will be alright. This is how good the books make you feel, and the book about Travis is just like that, you want to wrap him in your arms, stroke his hair and comfort him!

*BETA READ*

Like Robert, Travis is mainly about is his childhood how and where he grew up, we finally get to know his secrets and demons! It does, somewhat, go into the present but only up to the point where Robert first meets Brooke.

Ohhh poor Travis! I love him even more now I have read his story! I want to just give him a big bear hug and tell him everything is going to be okay. It's nice to finally know what happened to him, now I understand Travis better.
As always, Tracie Podger has written another beautiful book in the Fallen Angel series, and it lives up to what everything I imagined! I love her style of writing and the way she portrays the characters.

This is for audience of 18+ with violence and sexual content.

This book is simply spectacular. Tracie triumphs again! It tells the story of Travis, one of the pivotal characters in The Fallen Angel Series. I defy anyone to not fall in love with Travis from his turbulent childhood with his abusive father and brother, through his journey of self discovery and sexual awareness! It's a compelling, gripping story that grabs a hold of you immediately. This author has the unique talent of completely immersing you in her world with her descriptive storytelling and enthralling words. Travis will live in my heart always (and I was his first!)

I LOVED THIS BOOK!!

Travis from the Fallen Angel series finally gets his own book. His life in his own words.
We get to experience what it was like for Travis growing up before he meet Robert and then after.
It was amazing to hear Travis' POV. I loved Travis in the Fallen Angel series, and wanted a bit more of him. He isn't the main character but still has a very important role throughout the series.
Tracie as always you have done this book justice. It had me in tears and laughing.
I am in love with Travis even more then I already was.

Travis is one of the main characters in the fallen angel series, Robert Stone's right hand man. This story looks in depth at the childhood, upbringing and past he has endured.

With all the characters they take a little piece of your heart but Travis definitely takes a bigger chunk than the others, with such a hard start in life, abuse, then finding himself on the streets. Robert did save him as they grew up and became brothers ensuring each others safety all the time.

Fantastic story looking from this perspective especially at the other main characters aswell as Travis himself. Amazing read

I have to say that I thank my lucky stars every single day for pushing me to pick up that first book in the Fallen Angel series few months ago. I was so captivated by Robert and Brooke's story and I really fell hard for them ( Robert in particular ;) ). With every book in the series I was just falling in love with the characters even more :) It was great when I read Robert and learned his story through his eyes. Evelyn's history broke my heart and I shed quite a few tears for her. Now with this new book in the series, I finally had the chance to get to know Travis better, to learn what happened to him as a child and how he ended up in the streets of DC.

Even though, I already knew most of the story, told through Robert's or Brooke's eyes, it was great to hear it through Travis'. His perception of things is quite different than Robert's and at times he shows what he feels more openly. His childhood history was so heartbreaking that it definitely touched my heart. The mental and physical abuse he had to endure, brought tears to my eyes on more than one occasion. Even when he managed to escape that, faith just brought new trials in front of him. Probably the only good thing that happened to him in those hard and difficult times, was his meeting with Robert. In him Travis found a friend and a brother, a person he can depend on and trust with his life. Reading everything through Travis' eyes showed a new dimension to the relationship and everything the two friends went through together. It just confirmed to me that their bond grew stronger with time and there would never be anything that could destroy their friendship.

In my opinion Tracie Podger is an amazing author and she showed her masterful way of presenting her characters' feeling once again with Travis. While I was reading the story I was able to feel the Pain Travis went through, his frustration with what faith dealt him, and every single feeling that he encountered from the moment he met Robert. I was captivated by his encounter of the events that made him the man he is, his view of Brooke and every single person he met through his life, the turmoil he felt when meeting his sister. In a few words, I think this was another amazing addition to this heartbreaking series.

In short, I can say that this story is captivating and intriguing. It will help you understand Travis better and it will bring a new light to the events in his mutual history with Robert. I have to say that after reading the book, Travis definitely managed to worm his place into my heart, even though Robert is still my number one :) I really can't wait to find out what will happen next in the series. And I will be definitely in mourning once it finishes this summer. If you haven't read any of the Fallen Angel Series books, I definitely encourage you to do so. I can guarantee that you will fall in love with all the characters and you will definitely find your new BBF :)

This is the story we have all been waiting for. Travis has his chance to have his voice heard. Heartbreaking is the word I would use to sum up the life of Robert's loyal friend.

Travis was born into a life of abuse. His family life was not a fairy tale story. His father packing up the family and fleeing Ireland when Travis was young. His sister becoming the protector. Sent to another city, Travis believes he gets another chance at a new life, but he ends up on the city streets of D.C. Daily life included torture and survival something that most of us would never be able to comprehend. Tracie Podger creates an emotional tale of how Travis survived and found his eternal friend, Robert. We even get a few surprises of the inner workings of Travis's feelings.

I was so excited to hear about Travis's story. This was one I had been patiently waiting. We see Travis's opinions and his side of working with Joe. We also see what has formed Travis to becoming the man he is. The one that stands by Robert and defends him to the very end. Travis's acceptance of what has become The Four Musketeers. There may even be some surprises in store for his feelings with the quartet of friends that remain by each other's side.

There is the final story coming out. I am really eager to see how Travis and the remaining friends get their HEA. Travis especially. After reading Travis, I am going to root for this complicated man to get to have a dream of happiness. He and Robert truly deserve it.

I give a high mark of 4.5 stars for a story that was compelling and tugged at the heart strings. Tracie has written an excellent composition of a boy who truly grew into a fine man. Keep tuned in for the finale. There will be the epic conclusion of two men's struggle for survival and redemption. One-Click your way to Travis is my recommendation.

I'm still recovering from the book hangover Tracie has induced with Travis, this book is just amazing. Tracie explores Travis' troublesome childhood (which I warn you will have you hugging your kindle trying to get to Travis), his teenage years in which we see Travis mature mentally and sexually and then finally we see grown up Travis (I wish her were real!). This book has everything: heartache, happiness, humour, tears.

I do have a bone to pick with Ms Podger, the book was way too short for my liking! I was completely immersed in Travis that I quite literally did not stop reading until I was finished. Tracie's fluid writing style means that you lose track of time as you read so I'm not surprised that I finished it in one sitting! I am now impatiently waiting for the next Fallen Angel book so I can read about Travis again! Tracie has the unique talent of convincing me that the characters I am currently reading about are my favourite, first it was Brooke and Robert, then Robert by himself, then Evelyn and now Travis! There are not many authors who can change my mind once it is made up, but here she is changing my mind once again!

I adored this book, Tracie Podger has really excelled with Travis and her writing (which as already fantastic) improves with book. I really wish I hadn't already read it so I can read it once again for the first time! I implore you to pick up this book, this series and read it!

My Review
Travis Curran was a lonely and abused boy who cowered at the hands of his drunkard father and his step brother, when the abuse got unbareable he ran away to Washington DC and to the safety of a man he didn't know, instead he found sanctuary with a man whom he would later call brother. The two lived by their wits alone, struggling daily for scraps of food and searching for acceptance on the cold dank streets.
I absolutely adored the whole 'Fallen Angel' series but 'Travis' in my opinion, is by far the best to date. You get to see a side of Robert that has previously only been hinted at and finally the mysterious Travis begins to unfold!
This is a story of self discovery, of learning to grow as a person and accept help, from learning to walk away from past demons, fight current ones and to strive for a brighter tomorrow.
The bond between the two men is, for me, the biggest attraction. they're akin to soul mates and seem to have a deep rooted believable understanding of each others plights.
I'm very much hoping that the lovely Tracie plans to delve once more into the world of Travis with a sequel (of sorts) i'd love to see him happy and finally finding someone that completes him, the way Brooke did for Robert.
Thank you so much Tracie for giving us Travis. He's wormed his way into this cynical heart of mine,
5 stars!

Travis will steal your heart!

I loved this book. I enjoyed getting to know Travis better and the way he thought out his life. I thought it was very interesting to see his views on the ladies in his life and Brooke. His relationship with Robert is very important to him and though out the entire book you can see how their relationship grows and how they are able to interact with each other. Evelyn also plays a big role, not only as a friend, mother fiver but a person to talk to as he got older.

Tracie had wonderful story development and she kept the story true to the other books. There were parts of the book that really pulled on your heart and others where you could feel the anger.
This is not a book or a series to miss out on. Lindsey, MNP reviewer.

This book is part of the Fallen Angel Series but it can stand alone.

You can't help but feel for Travis. There was parts of the story that I was even crying. At 11 years old he is living on the streets leaving his family in order to survive. Luckily he meet up with Robert. He grounded Travis and really shaped him into the man he became.

I really like how the story went into detail about how they met, how they survived and how they overcame to become the successful men they are. It gives a lot of depth of how these two boys lives are shaped and just how connected they are. they may not be blood but they are brothers.

Very well written book. I absolutely loved it!

Travis's story is heart breaking. Ending up on the streets after years of being nothing more than a punch bag for his father and brothers, he meets Robert and shows him how to survive. The bond they share is more than that of blooded brothers.

Following alongside Roberts story, Travis is happy to be guided by him as he builds his empire. Leading up until Brooke appears on the scene, Travis is definitely attracted to her but he has never seen the look Robert has for the woman so puts his feelings aside.

Loved Travis in the FA series, loved him more after this!

As I've read through the Fallen Angel series I've wanted to more about Travis and his past. This book starts when he is eleven and living in an abusive household. His mother is weak but he finds nurturing and protection from his sister who shields him from not only their father but also their brothers. When things get bad, his sister has a plan to send him to DC but those plans go awry and Travis is left on the streets in a strange city. Life is hard on the streets, but things look up when he runs into Robert, together they battle to get themselves off the streets. This book chronicles their rise through the ranks in one of the most prominent Italian families and together overcoming their pasts. Secrets abound in Travis' past as well as Robert's and while their friendship turned brotherhood is solid, there are others who are not to be trusted and women who are short-term interests. By reading this book, not only do I have a deeper understanding of Travis but also of Robert. The characters are well-defined and the plot well paced. I will definitely be reading more in this series.

That poor terrified boy😭. Obviously I knew some of his back story but not all, this gives us the whole heartbreaking details. How he ended up on the streets and met Robert. The first half of this book is his life before Robert, we have only skimmed over parts of that before so a fair bit is fresh and new. From then on this is Travis perspective on everything from meeting Robert to Robert meeting Brooke. I for one didn't care that it's covering parts that had been covered in other books, this is inside Travis mind, his thoughts in more detail. It is worth reading, I found it to be a tear jerker in the earlier portion, I was gripped and completely invested in his happiness and his needing some answers. I love Travis, faults and all.

Book Review - Four Life Through Travis' Eyes Stars
Travis was a surprise to me, as I expected to go back in time to find out more about his past and then speed forwards sometime to a point in his future when Travis was moving forwards. What we got was Travis from the beginning to the same point of reference as in Robert. I can't help but be a little disappointed that we don't get to see Travis find his lady and settle down, but hey, life is often like that. Sometimes it takes years for us to click with that one person.
Saying all of the above, it was nice to go back in time and see it all from Travis' eyes. We get to understand the past he was running from when fate threw Robert his way, and how the two of them became firm friends.
Travis whilst a story of one young mans start in life, and how he pulled himself out of poverty is still quite a dark tale. Full of childhood heartache, torment and depravity that leaves a lump in your throat and you wishing you were the one with a knife in your hand. As we make our way through to tales of his life on the street, we see how he retained an innocent quality despite learning harsh life lessons at a very early age. I was amused by how short his shoplifting career actually was before he met Robert, for example.
His relationship with Robert is easily understandable, as both have suffered abuse at the hands of their families. You see how important they both are in balancing each other, and watch them form their own family to love and protect each other.
I loved watching Travis and Ev meddle when Robert was messing things up as he stumbled into uncharted territory when he attempted to start a relationship with Brooke. You could feel the winks and smirks as they quickly realised Brooke was going to be important to Robert and therefore immediately made it their business to help integrate her into their disfunctional family.
Once again Tracie paints a vivid picture. Her prose is descriptive and evocative and before you know it, you are three quarters through the book and speeding towards the end.
I can only guess Tracie has more Travis for us up her sleeve in the future, to leave us where she did. I'd like to see Travis attempt a normal relationship and also see some of the lighter side of life. It's difficult to watch someone spend so much of their life in darkness. Even when Robert and he were able to progress and move on, so much of their lives were still murky and darkened by their past and I'd love to see Travis experience some joys. My guess is it would be more along the lines of when he saw the bikes Robert bought, a kind of childlike effervescence and spirit. I know there would be struggles along the way, we all experience those, but I'd love to see those shades of light and dark in his life. I'm pretty certain our boy deserves it.

I've falling in love with the Fallen Angels series and this is my first look at the earlier years of both Travis and Robert (since I haven't read Robert yet).

It was such a pleasure to have this insight look of what their life, or Travis' life, was like when they were younger. I think I enjoyed reading this even more than their current years which we also saw in Fallen Angels. Seeing the heartache and hartship he needed to overcome made me feel for him and made my heart go weak yet again for this amazing character.

During the whole ordeal of his early life, you cannot help but admire the person that Travis is and is becoming. We see a boy who doesn't let anything get him down, who manages to overcome the odds of a broken home and find something, or someone, worth living for. Meeting Robert was the best thing that ever happened to him, and even though they might not be blood related, he is the closest thing to a real family he has ever had. Their relationship is remarkable, how they look out for each other, support each other and yet respect their privacy. Neither one of them wants to devulge the misgivings of their past, and it's that respect that makes their relationship so amazing.

Seeing Travis grow up is remarkable, and having him go through what he did, it's incredible. I would've loved to see more of it, of how he deals with his newest relationship, but I'm sure Tracie has something up her sleeve in that case.

What it comes down to is that this story gives a great look into the person Travis is growing up and how he came to be the amazing person we have all fallen in love with during the Fallen Angels series. It's a great deep look into his past and an amazing addition to this series.

However, I do recommend reading the Fallen Angels series before, because it made the book much more pleasurable to me! But it's not absolutely necessary, because this book can very well stand on its own.

Thank you for letting me read this story!! It was truly a pleasure!!

I loved Travis in Fallen Angel series. Travis story is told from his point of view. His story is an emotional one. We are told about his childhood and all he endured in it. We still see his innocence and his loving nature. When he is alone on the streets of Washington DC he has to grow up fast and does things he is not proud of just to survive. He meets Robert Stone his protector and someone he calls his best friend. Travis loves him like a brother. We learn so much about the bond Travis and Robert share. When Travis and Robert meet Evelyn she becomes a very important part of their lives. There is few new things we learned in this book that makes me admire and love Travis more than I already did. He is a good man, great friend, loyal and so caring. He just needs the love of a good woman to make his story complete.

Thank you for sharing Travis story with us. I loved it.

I want to say thank you to Tracie Podger for writing an excellent POV from Travis.

It gave me an insight into what happened with Travis. Certain members of the family I wouldn't wipe my feet with lol, but when he met Robert Stone, it all made sense with their backgrounds. 1 man who wouldn't turn his back on Travis is Robert Stone and vice versa. So when Travis needed help with certain family members, he knew who to turn to.

I loved the way Travis still loved his sister even though she couldn't protect him as much as he needed. Can't wait to read more about Travis in the coming stories.
