Wow the first 50% of the book I absolutely abhorred Luca he was despicable. While he appeared to slowly come around and act more human was it real or just another manipulation in his grand plan of total destruction? When secrets, anger and emotions finally collide chaos, danger, vengeance and devastation soon follow.
Gigi was resilient, determined, tenacious and fearless. Throughout it all she still held on to her goodness even at her breaking point.
Can they get past the lies, hurt and betrayals to see what could be or will they let their anger ruin everything?

I loved it. Luca a mafia king has been destroyed by the murder of his cousin and best friend Marco and has spent three years planning revenge. Guiliannas father was involved in giving info that led to Marcos death so he systematically destroys his daughter’s life and kidnaps her as part of his revenge plot. He’ll force her to marry him, use her to secure an alliance then kill her in front of her father to make him suffer before killing her father last. He’s lost all traces of humanity from grief. But as he spends time with her planning a wedding ppl must think is real and denying Gigi anything from her old life and locked in a bare bedroom watching her slowly lose her mind he can’t help but think about what Marco would think of his actions and remember his abused mother. Shes innocent, a veterinarian who’s never done a bad thing in her life, who had nothing to do with her fathers actions paying for a crime she wasn’t involved in but he can’t stop himself. Gigi challenges him, makes him look at himself more than he wants to plus now he’s crossed the line and had sex with her where she met him with as much force and strength as he had. Slowly he starts to question himself and his plan but he can’t quite give it up either. As the weeks pass and the wedding happens both start to have feelings they never expected and more info comes out Gigi kept secret. She’s terrified of what could happen to her if everything is revealed. She finds out she’s pregnant, Then she overhears the men talking about following thru with the plan where Luca is to murder her all along in front of her father before killing him, using her death to torture her father and her world explodes. The man shes fell in love with has been actively planning her death the entire time while sleeping with her. Shes horrified and tries to escape to no avail. Luca realizing his feelings too late now sees what his revenge has cost him and tries to repair the damage but it’s too late. She refuses to believe he loves her. Gigi will never forgive him nor forget that he actively planned her death while lying to her and making love to her holding her in his arms so she blurts out the last secret info shes been hiding wanting to hurt him back. Events happen, danger abounds, a confrontation is inevitable and Luca goes after the person responsible for killing Marco. Luca tries one final time to apologize to Gigi and make her see he loves her for real but she tells him it’s over she wants nothing more to do with him keeping the baby a secret. There’s a fight, Ppl are shot Gigi is kidnapped again while injured, fights escalate Luca loses it searching for Gigi the war grows the killer thinks he’s won and one last confrontation will decide who lives, who dies, who walks away and if Lucas hate has ruined any chance he has at love.

Second Chances!
This story was so good from start to finish, I wanted it to go on and on! Luca was set on revenge for the death of his cousin Marco,he has been planning on this for three years,The plan was capture the sr.Conti and kill his daughter in front of his eyes and then him.He is already on to the last stage of his plan,he burned down her animal clinic. Luca already has Giuliana's father and the rest of plan is to marry her then kill her,but while he holds her prisoner and see's the changes she is going threw,he is starting to feel different, he is still ruthless and determined to get payback for the death of his cousin. The day has come and they marry,she still asks to see her father and too call her friend Katie and he still says no,Danny asks when Luca plans on finishing his plan to takeout his bride,Danny tells him he should at least tell her since Luca has change a little being married and starting to care for Giuliana.He is keeping the secret a little longer he tells Danny and Dmitri not realizing that Giuliana has heard everything and now she spills the secret that she kept hidden three years and it just floors Luca.This story wasn't boring,it was ruthless,heartless,edge of your chair type of story.Its about rebounding, come back fighting for loss love after nearly dying, not just Luca but his Gigi too. They get their second chance,by standing up and communicating with each other,making changes,listening and loving, and three kids later it seams to work!

This was an intense read! Very well written and a full read, I was entertained and engaged but conflicted. I admired the strength of this h and then questioned some of the actions and choices and the very thought process of the H. I couldn't understand how she could be with the h quite so soon even as he showed his cruelty. And this included physical cruelty though not at his hands. Both characters begin to see the other side and try to piece together a whole picture, but our h was more right than our H was for quite some time.
He couldn't stop in his revenge for a family member but she was making him question his own mind.
At such a far point in the story, he still honestly is deluded into thinking of hurting her father. I understand why, but not if you claim to love this woman. Their story is complicated in some ways because they genuinely both fall for one another and are both experiencing their own kinds of grief. However, he still doesn't understand fault and being forced into something. Her dad isn't a saint but he wasn't the one our H needed to take his anger out on. I loved this h. She is strong and found good in this man, even when he might not have deserved it. I do wish we experienced more scenes of him softening towards her before going at it. Regardless, this was a intriguing story and one that kept me guessing.

Unfortunately, before Giuliana and Luca could resolve the rift between them and she could make his aware of her life changing news, they found themselves in a dangerous situation where they had to fight for their lives.
Luckily , Giuliana and Luca’s love for each other pushed them to not only survive the battle, but also fight for a chance to have the happily ever after they had started building. The emotionally charged and drama-filled romance story will take you on a thrilling ride of action and steaminess with lots of twists and heartbreaking moments. The story had me at the edge of the seat, as just when I thought one problem had been resolved, another one popped up and had me on tenterhooks waiting to see how it would be resolved. I highly recommend this book.

This is a great addition to the Mafia Lords of Sin Series where Luca takes years to plan the ultimate revenge against the man responsible for the loss of his cousin. When Luca’s plan goes off without a hitch he uses Giuliana the daughter as the one who will pay for her father’s sins. In one night she’ll lose her Veterniary practice, her father is beaten and taken, her friends and the life as she knows it as will be one’d by Luca - marry him or her father will die! These two start out as enemies that are forced to show a loving couple at events and there are enemies out to take Guiliana for leverage and their own revenge. Luca has never dealt with the loss of his cousin and believes his plan is justice served. Only problem Giuliana falls in love with him and Luca allows it. Secrets are never good so when they’re overheard their fragile relationship is burned to nothing! These two will have to deal with enemies and danger with the hope of surviving. He kidnaps Giuliana and moves forward with his plan. However, along the way, new information is revealed and his perspective gets skewed, making him uncertain how to proceed. He is conflicted -- as is Giuliana because she cannot understand how she can have feelings for a man that has treated her and her father so poorly and without remorse.
Giuliana overhears a conversation -- a gut punch that rocks her foundation and makes her doubt her version of reality.
A betrayal is revealed and the true comes to light.
I read this book in one sitting because I just could not put it down. I didn't mind losing sleep to read this. Definitely recommend.

If you like Mafia stories then I recommend this one with its rival revenge, intrigue, suspense, cruelty, secrets, and danger.

574 pages of this high melodrama. It's got all the tropes: Mafia danger and secrets, forced marriage with the innocent daughter for revenge and to save the worthless father, secret pregnancy (always), mean bad guy, innocent heroine whose goodness will overcome his darkness and help him get justice.
I don't like writing styles that use single sentence paragraphs as a way to heighten tension. Makes it easier to skim. 20% in and they are fucking. So boringly predictable. He softens toward her, helps her fix a bird with a broken wing. So corny. I just skim ahead to get to the end.

I've read several of Ajme Williams' books now and I've become a fan and this book didn't disappoint either. I love me a good enemies to lovers trope and this one definitely scratch my ever-present existence for need of reading it. The book was long enough for the characters to develop fully and become multidimensional beings which made the decisions each of them made in the story make sense to me. Mafia forced marriage of a captive bride trope was also quite alive and well. And the spice. Oh... the spice was superb. Overall, this one was a really good read.

The ultimate message for me though is that everything you experience during your life shapes you into whom you are today. The good, the bad and the ugly....
To top that were the steamy scenes, omg, reading those during my lunchbreak was definately not my wisest decission😉.

This is part of the Mafia Lords of Sin series, a heart-stopping, dark romance full of revenge, action, danger, steam, hidden truths, all qualities that lure you in and tangle you up in a book web until the very end.
I was completely fascinated by the plot, the characters of Luca and Guiliana, and their journey from enemies to lovers. The chemistry between the mc's was amazing and the writing top-notch. I honestly could not put this book down. Without question, I would very highly recommend!!

I liked that this was true enemies to lovers. However, was this book even edited? I saw multiple errors, misspelled words, missing words, repeated sentences, wrong pronouns.
This book could have also been 50 pages shorter if the author took out the repeating sentences and dialogue. The characters have a discussion and then it repeats right after. It got so frustrating I actually started skimming at about 60% because there was so much redundancy. I really wanted to love this book but it needs edited so bad and because of that I struggled to get into it like I know I could have.

Luca and Guiliana are two of my favourite characters. Even though he takes her prisoner and forces her into a marriage she doesn't want she stays strong. The attraction is more than they can handle and when the mafia world takes over their lives they handle it all together.
The steam and the violence are both well written, and not too much for this dark romance.

Due to her father's bad choices Guiliana is forced to pay the price through a forced marriage. It starts her dark path with Luca who tells her up front this is not a relationship but revenge to trap her father. This dark story had me all caught up in these two because it starts off dark but somewhere along the path feelings change. Will Luca and Guiliana's marriage finally lead them to happiness.
