The continuation of the Deadly Beauties trilogy...

Purgatory was opened for the dark ones to escape, but so much more crept out. Over twenty years later, the consequences are finally starting to appear. And the world full of deadly beauties finds even more deception and secrets to face.

As an immortal, it's hard to have any new experiences after living for so long. History seems to repeat itself... over and over. No one knows that better than Gage Kross, the dark user many overlook. But even if you think you know how something is going to end, sometimes life doesn't give you the choice of deciding what to do.

When he meets Kimber, something that he thought died inside of him suddenly comes back to life. However, she's supposed to be one of the few women he can't be with. Then again, the sweetest fruits are usually the forbidden.

Just when things heat up, life unravels and ghosts come back to haunt Gage and his friends. The past invades the future, consequences are revealed, and impossible secrets emerge from the darkness, while new secrets are formed.

It's hard to trust people who are trained to hide the truth, so falling in love seems to be a daunting task no matter what. But it's a world full of seduction, and sometimes love happens whether you want it to or not - even when death is breathing fire down your neck.

Although this is a book one, there is no major cliffhanger.

I was waiting for that book like ages! And to be honest I thought it will never get released! I love all her books and it doesn’t matter what genre it is. Paranormal, NA? I will read them all. The deadly Beauties is my second favourite series by her (nothing can be compared to Sterling boys :] ), and FINALLY I got Gage’s story!

I loved him the most in Deadly Beauties. I know that Alyssa was meant for Kane, but come one! Gage? Dark, dangerous, tattoos and piercing in the right places? Hell yeah! I was seriously sad for him, that he didn’t his happy ending in the main trilogy, but now? I think it’s perfect. Kimber is the ONE for him.

Gage is a Dark User, has a lot of power, that not many people are aware of. He is dark, powerful and nothing can stop him when he wants to protect those he cares about. And for him, Kimber becomes the most important person. In a short time. She is infuriating, stubborn, reckless and so perfect for him. Since the first meeting after 2 decades the passion and pull towards each other is hard to deny, on both sides.

Kimber is tough and stubborn. She doesn’t like that every single man in her life tries to treat her as the child she once was, when found by Alyssa. She is trying to prove to ever yon that she doesn’t need to be sheltered as she is able to take care of herself. And then she meets Gage. She remembers him as the one, who was rejected by Alyssa, but that changes quickly when they see each other. He is tempting, sexy and trustworthy. At the beginning she is feeling weak next to him, but when their feeling grow, she feels simply safe with him.

And what I love also? DICE! God! He was making me laugh so hard that I was either snorting or crying! Literally! His obsession is amazing and I just read some of his parts few times, as they were so funny! :D

C.M. Owens done it again. The book pulled me in from the first page, and I love that there is more to come, and some things I have so not seen coming! The ending left me panting for more. And I hope she won’t leave us without more of them.

And the next part is about Thad … <3

Dark Beauty brings us back into the Deadly Beauties' world. This story is Gage and Kimber's story. I honestly fell in love with Gage in the first 3 books. Who wouldn't want a dark haired, tattooed, pierced, sexy, dirty-talking dark user?!?!? In this story, we are now 20 years later, from the end of Red Moon Secrets. And of course we get more questions, answers, action, steamy, sexual scenes, and more of Dice's humorous personality. Well done Owens with another 5+ stars from me!!!

I had to say this book didn't disappoint me at all. There were still some unanswered questions to the previous series, and we learned a few of them from this book. Featuring Gage and Kimber, the romance continued in this story, and this book featured alternating POVs of the two main characters.

Some fact about Gage that was concealed to us in the previous series, such as his power, background stories, including his former lover, was finally revealed to us in this series, and surprise, surprise, he's powerful!

Kimber, the little gatekeeper girl from the previous series, had now grown up, and she was fixated on Gage. It's a good thing that nothing was stopping the relationship between the two, but overprotective!

New mysteries were raised in this story about Chaz, Alyssa's childhood friend, and also Zee. What's Chaz's origin and power? What would happen to Zee with the newly acquired power? Find out more from the next book!

Thank you!

I have been a fan since my first read of deadly beauties and I am so grateful that she has started this series back up. I loved seeing things through Gage's eyes. To be honest I wasn't his biggest fan when deadly beauties ended but this book has given me a new outlook on him I love him in this book and his relationship with Kimber . I enjoyed learning all of his secret and truly getting an idea of how deep of an immortal he is. I love how everything flowed and how everyone's secrets kind of came together . I also love that former characters played a huge part in this book as well they didn't just show up for a few chapters or two they were present throughout the whole entire book which I appreciate . I cannot wait until the next book comes out I'm really looking forward to it .

I officially love Gage. Some where in book 3 he lost me, but he more than made up for it.

All the characters (and some new ones) are back. Its great to catch up (like seeing a friend you haven't seen in a while). There are questions about some characters (well mainly chaz) but they all still hold a special place.

Gage and Kimber are the cutest couple. He keeps trying to save and protect this bad ass when she can do it herself (though it is soooo sweet that he does try). The only thing that sucked was Kimber's visions. I was really hoping she would get them back, though i do have hope that it will happen.

It feels so wrong to give a CM book less than five stars, but it had to be done. I'm keeping this review short. I honestly had a difficult time getting into this story because of Kimber and Gage. I blame it on the fact that I've read books two and three in this series. This means I've already seen them together and they aren't even close to being my favorite couple. I can't even explain why.

I loved Gage in the first series. I hardcore rooted for him because he was dark and I love bad boys. In this book, paired with Kimber, he got more self righteous. They were both so self righteous that I was ready to bash my head in. Gage, honey, reformed or not you're too judgmental.

Dark Beauty brings us back to the Deadly Beauties world. Denial of the passion and lust you feel will only wreak havoc on yourself...that's what our characters will come to realize. Give in, feel good and you never know what you'll find when you give into that 'who' that catches your eye!

I'm a little disappointed we didn't get to see Gabe's dark/dangerous side. By the way, I'm totally want to read Gabe's brother book. Hope it's one of the next ones.

4.5⭐

throughout the deadly beauties trilogy, i don’t know how many times i highlighted something and wrote ‘bitch you better be joking’. probably more than 20 times each book. of course, it’s the same with this one.
before i found out this addition to the deadly beauties trilogy exist, i was going to dip my toes into the fanfic-writing pond. i even wrote the prompt already. it was gonna be a self insert oc who’s fated with gage. so when i found this, a scream was scrumpt. it’s like the author wrote this for me. i love her so much and she will be missed everyday.

as usual, the fighting scenes are amazing even tho they’re a bit confusing for me to follow at times.

I read the deadly beauties trilogy back in 2020 and loved it.
I couldn’t get my hands on this book until now through kindle unlimited.

I remembered the gist of the deadly beauties trilogy, definitely recommend reading before jumping into this book. However there is enough snippets to spark the memory of what happened. My issue was remembering the powers/immortal species of all the characters.

I nearly quit reading multiple times during the first 40% of the book. I wasn’t feeling it. It felt a little too YA, the Insta attraction between Kimber & Gage, the age gap - Gage knew Kimber when she was a child was bit ick to me. I was struggling to remember why I loved the previous books.
Then bam finally hooked me in, all the characters came together and the banter I remember enjoying. Part of me was kicking myself for not rereading the trilogy before jumping into this book as I wonder if the refresh would of helped me enjoy this book more?

Why only 3 star? Because I did end up enjoying it but didn’t love it.

I remember I loved Gage but my review of Red Moon Secrets tells me I fell out of love with him. I can’t quite remember why but this book I loved him again. Tattooed, pierced, dark user, yes please!!
Kimber is young and powerful, I liked her, but a little too Insta love for me.

I always wondered why Dice didn’t get his own book, answered here as Dice found his love in this book. A hybrid demon called Karma. Kind of disappointed as would of liked his own story especially since all the others get theirs. But at least he did find his love.

Alyssa & Kane make appearances and we meet their daughter Ella!

This book was really good! I loved the dynamic everyone had and the humour was awesome! For some reason I was weirdly giggly throughout the book..not exactly the word to describe how i was, but I can't think of the right one right now..:P

The # jokes were awesome!! Specially Dice's text messages at the most inappropriate times😂😂 God I love him! 💕

And the best part was how Gage would smile or react or his just his expressions...and the effortless love between him and Kimber. By effortless I mean there was drama but not the cliched sometimes annoying drama where the couple just don't accept that they love the other person untill literally the end when some tragedy occurs or someone is on the brink of death... you know what I mean 😝

I would totally start the next book right this min but sadly I have to work 😢😢

Until next time!! >.<

The Deadly Beauties Live On is a continuation series, I did not read the first series at all. I wasn't interested in the characters from series one, but i did dive right into Dark Beauty. At first I thought that was a bad idea since there was a possibility that one can become confused at some point. That was not the case for me. I was able to follow along just fine. The book does reference some of the previous characters that I was unfamiliar with but it was not to the point where i could not keep going.
The story-line is great, its nothing like I've read before. The author has come up with her own tales and spun them to make the story fit the imagination. I was able to visualize the scenes, which is a plus for me. The next book calls to me! I want to know who falls for who and what the next adventure will be, mixed with what is happening next.

I went from almost throwing this book across the room at page 5 to 4 stars 😂

I was upset when I found out Kimber was the love interest. It felt sad, and a bit like Gage was getting a participation medal (again, it was page 5, and I was #TeamGage). I’m so glad I stuck with this book.

Kimber and Gage’s characters were both explored well, and it was pretty apparent that Kimber was not just Alyssa 2.0. I also liked that this series is exploring what happened at the end of the first series. The ending had a pretty neat now placed on it, but it wasn’t perfectly wrapped up.

I’m also really excited that though each novel focuses on a different guy, it looks like it’s going to be all in the same storyline.

I enjoyed the trilogy that this book is a spin off from, but I just couldn’t get into the story. It plodded along to the point that I was simply tired of reading and having nothing happen. Any sexual interest between Gage and Kimber came off as weird since I remember him being so hot for the heroine in the last books and Kimber being only seven then. Now suddenly he is super hot for her? He just comes off as broody and flighty—not my kind of dude for a romance story. I stopped about halfway through since it felt like nothing had changed in their romance or the plot from page one. I wouldn’t call it a bad book, just not the kind that can keep my interest.

Liked the first series better 3.75⭐️

Little disappointed.

The first series, "deadly beauties," way more. I feel like this should be part of the same series, honestly. This series is built off of it too much, and they don't say that.

The chemistry and romance are just 2/5⭐️ for me. Interesting new info on past characters, but...... really, that's it. Spice is okay 🌶🌶🌶... but I feel like the lack of chemistry makes it less desirable.

I don't know if I'll finish this. The rating is so high, and it feels misleading. I loved the first series so much. I love most of this authors stuff so I don't rate this low easily.

I must admit it took me a while to finish this due to needing to focus 110% on what was going on! I'm so happy Gage finally got his love story, I've been drawn to him since book 1 of the deadly beauties! This book is filled to the brim with action, and thrilling scenes, it set my heart off a few times🤭 I am loving the addition of Karma who fits in so well with the gang. Without a doubt, one of the most thrilling books I've read in a while. Loyalties are tested, new characters are introduced and the plot thickens. Time to read book number 2...thanks for a great read CM Owens!💖

Kimber and Gage

Even though Kimber has lost some of her abilities she is still one tough cookie.

Gage is skeptic about how Kimber feels as he thinks he is basically a fill - in until the women find another. He gets a shock when they fall in love.

They're unseen dangers that are growing in the background by some dark force home we learn who it is without going through a lot of books as I prefer the dangers keep changing.

Hopefully we see more of Gavin in future books.

Good but..

It's been a while since I read the Deadly Beauties series so I spent several chapters trying to recall information. The book was good but it also didn't seem as if it moved smoothly throughout it's entirety. There were parts that it seemed as if something was missing. I've purchased the rest of the series so we'll see what happens soon enough.

It was really interesting to read about the rest of the group. I Definitely loved this series both the first and then this. As usual, she grabs my attention right away. I liked the fact that she did not just outright ignore the relationships from the original series. Alyssa was such a big part and the continuing characters had really needed love interest of their own.

Everything a paranormal should be

It's hard to believe how much was packed into this story. Such a full, beatiful, suspense filled story. Also just a lot of fun and a little dash of crazy. I loooooved the characters and their push/pull. Enjoyed the drama and seeing them get their HEA. I can't wait to read the next book in the series

Deadly

C.M. Owens has done it again for me. She built this amazing world with all these characters that you can’t wait to get their stories. Each couple so far as captured all of my attention. I was sad a bit for Gage in the other book series. This book let us see another side to him. And now he has found his love. ❤️

Can't help but love

Redemption for Gage. That's what this story was. True redemption for his stupidity in the original series. I love it so much. I love CM Owen's so much. Kimber is a badass and it was so awesome to be "reunited" with all the original characters and meet all the new ones. Love this start to the spin off.

Glad Gage got his HEA. I know this spinoff series is just beginning, but it was sad how rejected he was from the Deadly Beauties. The "always a bridesmaid, but never the bride' syndrome was in full effect, but Kimber broke down the barriers. Love how indepth his backstory was as well. I look forward to continuing the series!

DNF. This is book 1?? Not a chance. It references SO many people and previous plot lines that it simply can’t be the first book. I feel utterly confused trying to keep everyone straight. Besides that, the romance isn’t all that interesting. At all. Maybe I need to first the real first book?
