A one-night stand, agreed on by both parties, was supposed to be just that. One night.

The next day, when Magnolia Baker walked in to the first practice for her last season of professional soccer with the Cowgirls, she expected it to go pretty smoothly. She was a veteran player, nothing surprised her anymore.

At least, until her one night stand walks through the door.

Her new boss, Beaufort Vanderbilt.

The man that set her blood on fire, and made words stutter from her mouth.

For eight months, they fight the connection, acting like they don’t feel a thing for each other.

Then tragedy hits Beau’s life, and she forgets that she’s supposed to remain professional. She forgets that she’s supposed to be the player and him the owner.

Lines are crossed, and soon, they can’t hide a thing from the people around them.

But Beau’s only partial owner of the team she desperately needs to play to remain hidden from her previous life. The other half-owner is dead set on tearing them apart, and making an example out of her. An example that will be a bright, shining warning flag to all future players to never follow in her footsteps.

Not if they want to ever play professional soccer again.

This one will really put you through a roller coaster of feelings. There are great parts, Magnolia and Beau, Beau and Iris, Iris and Magnolia, the team and how they work together, Beau working to best his sister. There are bad parts, Koen and Ida Bell, Thumper and all he's going through, Beau's sister and all that encompasses her and Iris's father, who is such a huge POS.

Through it all, it took quick work to protect what needed to be protected along the way, by everyone at different times. It was nice to see how things ended, on a happy note, because there were hard hits along the way.

Beaufort Vanderbilt and Magnolia Baker’s love story, nestled within a beloved series, offers us a compelling mix of romance, mystery, and emotional depth. This book shines not only because of its tender exploration of love but also due to the intricate layers of suspense and family drama woven throughout. As a fan of the series, this installment stands out, warranting a thoughtful review for its memorable characters and unexpected twists.

At the heart of the plot is Beaufort Vanderbilt, a character who embodies kindness and protectiveness, making him an undeniably swoon-worthy leading man. His evolving relationship with Magnolia, a renowned soccer player whose external grace matches her inner strength, is beautifully rendered with genuine warmth. Their connection, sparked by chance and deepened gradually under complex circumstances, captures the bittersweet essence of love tested by loyalty, secrets, and personal sacrifice. The chemistry between them is palpable and enriches the story’s emotional core.

Adding depth and charm is Iris, a small but pivotal character who steals many scenes. Her presence truly completes the makeshift family dynamic and lends heart to the story’s more tender moments. The authors handle these relationships with care, ensuring that each character’s growth feels earned and authentic.

Beyond the romance, the plot engages with weighty themes such as domestic abuse, family rivalry, and sacrifice, all while threading a suspenseful mystery that culminates in a surprise twist. This twist not only heightens the stakes but also enhances the plot's complexity, preventing the story from settling into predictability. The supporting cast—including Apollo and Beau’s club teammates—rounds out a mixture of loyalty and camaraderie, further grounding the drama in a believable social circle.

The straightforward storytelling with evocative moments that pull the reader in without overwhelming. While romance is central, the tension and stakes add necessary texture, making it more than just a love story.

This story is an emotionally rich, well-crafted romance that will appeal to fans of character-driven plots layered with suspense and heartfelt moments. If you appreciate swoon-worthy heroes, strong heroines, and a plot that keeps you guessing, this book is a rewarding read. It reminds us that love often involves sacrifice and that family, whether by blood or choice, is essential for enduring life’s challenges. Beaufort, Magnolia, and Iris’s journey leaves you reflecting on the unpredictable nature of love and the courage it takes to protect it.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Lani Lynn Vale has delivered a absolute winner with Well Aware, the ninth book in the Don't Date Him series. The story of Beau and Magnolia is an emotional rollercoaster that captures everything fans love about this series, elevated by a deeply tender, unforgettable family dynamic.

Beau is a former Marine turned high school teacher who finds himself drafted by his family to clean up the mess his sister made after running a professional women's soccer team straight into the ground. To say Beau's family is toxically dysfunctional is a massive understatement, but his steady, protective nature makes him an instant favorite.

When Magnolia’s world is shattered by tragedy, her entire life shifts. After her sister Rose commits suicide—confirming the horrifying abuse she endured—Magnolia honors Rose's final wish to raise her young daughter, Iris, and keep her safe from her father. That path leads Magnolia and Iris to Montana and straight into Beau’s orbit.

The heart and soul of this story lies in the relationship between Beau, Magnolia, and little Iris:

An Unforgettable Bond: Iris is a high-functioning autistic child with an endlessly inquisitive mind who communicates exclusively through ASL. Because Beau’s father and brother are deaf, he is naturally fluent in signing, leading to an immediate, powerful connection.

Pure Heartwarming Moments: Watching Beau interact with Iris is a never-ending sequence of total "aww" moments that will melt your heart on every single page.

High-Stakes Drama: True to Lani's signature style, the story features truly evil villains who push the tension to the maximum.

Fair warning: keep the tissues handy. There is a tear-inducing scene in this book that hits exceptionally hard, but the emotional payoff is beyond worth it.

Well Aware is a phenomenal addition to an already stellar series. Lani Lynn Vale continues to prove why she’s a master of romantic suspense, and after a ride like this, waiting for book ten is going to be tough!

5 The Wait Was So Worth It Stars!!

This book literally consumed me from beginning to end! I absolutely love Beau and Magnolia together. But before we go there, the way this book starts had my heart in my throat. Magnolia is forced to make a decision that changes the trajectory of her entire life and my heart was so hurt for her. But Magnolia will stop at nothing to keep those that she loves safe. The night Beau and Magnolia meet they have an amazing one night and think they’ll never see each other again. Yeah, he’s the owner of the professional woman’s soccer team Magnolia is ending her career with. In this instance, time only makes their feelings stronger as months pass. Once again everything changes for both of them and their once in a lifetime love can’t be ignored.

The way this man feels for her is something that is beautiful, emotional and awe inspiring. Not only does he love Magnolia, but he also loves Iris too. This little girl steals a lot of the scenes she’s in because she’s just so special in every way possible. The chemistry between Magnolia and Beau hasn’t lessened over the months. If anything, it’s intensified. So when they take that next step, it’s filled with heat and steam but also love.

This book has several moving parts and the amount of suspense had me completely captivated. I was rooting for the good people and hoping those that needed to get their comeuppance truly suffered! With every step Beau, Magnolia and Iris make towards their future, there seems to be someone that’s determined to halt that progress. Thankfully Apollo helps with all the things that he’s so good at!

As this story nears it end, LLV truly had my heart in my throat. Leave it to her to wrap up this story with a proverbial bang… and I was 100% okay with it all!!

Book 9 in the Don’t Hate Him series and somehow, Lani Lynn Vale just keeps finding new ways to make this series impossible to put down. ❤️

With Well Aware, we get everything I’ve come to expect from this series—and everything I want from a Lani Lynn Vale romance: intrigue, emotion, undeniable chemistry, passion and a storyline that pulls you in and refuses to let go.

Magnolia Baker is heading to a new town to play soccer, potentially for the last year of her career. What she definitely wasn’t expecting was to discover that the hot one-night stand she thought she could leave in the past is actually part-owner of the team. Cue eight months of trying to keep their distance… while the tension between them makes that almost impossible. 🔥

But this is where Lani Lynn Vale does what she does so well. Beneath the chemistry and the push-and-pull romance is a gut-wrenching emotional storyline that gives this book so much more depth. Just when you think you know where the story is taking you, she hits you with those moments that tug hard at the heart and remind you why these books are so much more than just a romance.

And honestly? That’s why this series continues to get better.

Every book brings us a fresh story, new characters to fall for, plenty of passion and that emotional undercurrent that keeps you invested long after you’ve turned the final page. You come for the romance, stay for the chemistry, and end up completely caught up in the lives of the characters.

If you love sports romance, second-chance-ish chemistry, forced proximity, undeniable attraction, emotional depth and romances that deliver both heat and heart, Well Aware absolutely deserves a place on your TBR.

Lani Lynn Vale has once again delivered a romance that is easy to devour, impossible to forget and another brilliant addition to a series that just keeps getting better. ❤️🔥

Magnolia and her story are definitely worth the read.

Good grief my heart rate was racing at the prologue already ! That and I was a sobbing mess💔

Magnolia and Beau cross paths the first time when he comes to her “rescue” when she has new tires put on her car and let’s just say the workmanship left much to be desired but it got her a ride on the back of his bike and Court working on her car so I’d say score 😂😉 ( no pun intended 😜)

Magnolia is now with the Cowgirls and imagine her surprise when she meets the new CEO 🔥 who I might add is very different to his family members , don’t judge him because of them 🙃

I just love Iris and Lysander( he’s grown a lot and achieved much as an adult ) and I think it’s because I’ve a loved one that’s on the spectrum. I love the way Beau bonds with Iris , at this point nothing Beau does is wrong he’s got the ability to even make a nun swoon 🥹 he signs to Iris ! How can that not tug at your heart strings ?!

Beau misses teaching and can’t wait for his term as manager to finish so he can focus on Magnolia and Iris and their life together and let’s be honest they have a few nasty obstacles to overcome no thanks to Seraphina and Cain , when they joined forces my blood ran cold . Beau dealt with Elon as well and he does try and redeem himself at a stage , chapters 19-21 wasn’t good for my nervous system 🤣🫣.
I love the notes , thoughts and texts at the beginning of each chapter , found them very entertaining 🥰

Magnolia , Beau and Iris make a beautiful family and I’m so happy they got their HEA 🥰 loved each moment with them 😉

Over the years of reading every one of this authors books, I have had a few favourites that will always stand out to me, however I think Well Aware might have just topped the list. If you are looking for a story that is tender, passionate, poignant and has you reaching for the tissues in quite a few places due to the emotions that this story pulls from you, then this is the book you should be reading. The chemistry between Beau and Magnolia is one that you feel deep under your skin, however it is the connection between Beau and Iris that steals your heart. To be honest I think little Iris steals the limelight in this story at times along with her interactions with Beau. Their story is all about the feels, it is tender, it is heartbreaking and it grips your heart and soul with such passion. If there was ever a book that was the definition of "you won't be able to put this one down", Well Aware is the poster boy for that term. I laughed, I cried, I smiled, I sobbed my heart out and I also felt the love between the characters. The storyline is not only unique but it is also unpredictable, catching you off guard and unprepared at times, which is a big positive. Grab your copy, fasten your seatbelts and get ready to ride the emotional roller coaster that is Beau and Magnolia's story.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Beau & Magnolia: triggers- autism, hearing impairment & sign language, domestic abuse, suicide, alcohol abuse, DUI, grief, loss, sexual assault, assault and insurance fraud. Gosh darn it, just when I thought this series couldn't get any better, THIS book drops in my greedy little hands. Hang on while I pull my feelings back inside. I'm “Well Aware” that this is just a book and these are just characters but I was so ready to fly to Montana and find everyone and become a part of this family. The Dixie Wardens MC never let me down. Beau was definitely the alpha that Magnolia needed for Iris. I'm not going to brief the book, I'm just gonna say… READ IT!!! Magnolia has moved to town because she transferred to their soccer team and Beau is part owner. That being said, he's fallen for her but can't go further because she's his player. Then there's Iris, Magnolia’s daughter, who's autistic Magnolia's world. The three of them are just the sweetest thing. LLV is giving a lot of emotions with this one start to finish. It's steamy, thrilling and mysterious while also still being exactly what you expect it to be. I loved it and I'm also both excited and dreading the conclusion to this series.

Three more books to go… Say it ain't so. I can't even.

Starting a new book from Lani Lynn Vale is like a rainy Sunday afternoon with a nice cup of tea 😊

Magnolia Baker was starting over with her little girl. She is part of a new professional soccer team and she has this new season and then she starts her new job. She is ready for this new chapter. Till she meets her new boss, Beaufort Vanderbilt. The one man she had a one-night stand with and who she thought she wouldn’t see again…

And it seems the connection between them is just as strong as the night they met.
Beaufort Vanderbilt is science teacher and he loves it. Till his dad ask him to help him with his soccer team for one season, they win or he gives it back to his sister. His sister that has run to the team in the ground and a sister he couldn’t stand to be around.

Now he has this team to look after and all he wants is to go back to teaching. The only bright light in his world is Magnolia Baker and her adorable little girl Iris.

Another favourite. I don’t get tired of saying that for this authors stories. I always try and read it as slow as possible, but get hooked so quickly and before you know, its over and Im dying for the next one.

Magnolia, Beau and Iris was an amazing story, I loved every second of the drama, the tension and the romance. Definitely another favourite 😊

I have SO many thoughts about this book and almost none of them can be shared without spoiling something.

Magnolia and Beau had me from their one-night stand that becomes a very awkward surprise when she discovers he's her new boss. I loved watching them attempt to shove all that chemistry into a nice little employer/employee box as if either of them actually stood a chance.

Then there's Iris, who steals every scene she's in. Watching the MC guys realize she likes Beau more and decide this situation simply cannot continue was one of the sweetest parts of the book.

I laughed, I cried, and at one point I actually called my brother at work because I needed to discuss fictional people immediately. He did not appreciate the urgency of the situation.

There is also one moment I absolutely did NOT see coming. I'm still heartbroken, slightly angry, and hoping Lani Lynn Vale has a very good reason for doing that to me.

And we got Apollo AND Quincy Carter. You know I'm never complaining about a Carter appearance.

Thank you to Lani Lynn Vale and Give Me Books Promotions for providing me with an ARC of the book. All opinions expressed are my own.

A perfect storm. One night of passion, months of craving.. they shouldn't want one another but it's bot always a choice is it.

Magnolia, a independent, head strong momma whose willing to do whatever it takes to protect her daughter.

Beau, a man forced to be in a job he doesn't want but is needed. A loyal, sweet oh so loving protective man.

These two had me on EDGE waiting because lord knows they were it for eachother. The sweet development of their relationship was everything. The way Beau just understood Iris.. man he had me swooning. Their gentle moments. The silence that spoke volumes. The funny, the frustrating and wholesome. Everything about them just worked even when they had odds stacked against them.
I loved the progression of their journey and how it was slow and sweet. How Beau build a solid foundation especially with Iris.

As always the side characters are wonderful and left me chuckling along the way. Lani never fails to make me feel in her stories with her relatable character and a story that really has me invested. This rollercoaster most definitely had it's highs and lows but it was worth it for the to have their HEA.

Well Aware is another great addition to the Don’t Date Him series!!

If you’re in the mood for a one night stand, sports, workplace, boss/employee, single mom, suspenseful romance look no further!

I was hooked so fast with this one! I couldn’t put it down! It would have easily been a one sit read if I hadn’t started this one late at night!

I loved Beau and Magnolia! I loved watching their story develop!

This author creates these worlds and characters that I just can’t get enough of and this book is no different! It’s always so bittersweet when one comes to an end! I’m always happy to see them get their happy ending but sad it’s time to say goodbye!

This is one of those books that I could just live in for so long! I couldn’t get enough!!

If you are an audio lover make sure to give this one a listen! The narrators were so good! They brought so much life into the characters. Really made you feel like you were a fly in the wall watching everything that happened!

Overall a great read that I definitely recommend!!

~~~~~~~~~~Tracy's ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐+++++ Review~~~~~~~~~~
Magnolia will do anything for Iris so when an opportunity comes to play soccer for one year and help the Cowgirls team, she must weigh out the pros and cons. The first time Beau sees Magnolia he feels like he can't breathe but things are gonna change for them in the future for them. I love this story and I absolutely adore little Iris she is so precocious and I just love how she envelopes those around her into loving her so much even though she has challenges while being autistic. This is more than a love story between a man and a woman it's a love story about a sister's love and what she will do for her sister. Such an amazing story I ended up buying the audible version of this as well and that version was just as great as reading the print copy. Lani Lynn Vale has knocked it out of the park yet again!!! This can be read as a standalone, but I will tell you for the best enjoyment you should read this entire series because all the characters intermingle within each book.
I enjoyed this book this most out of all the other ones in this series. Wish I could find a man like Beau, omg what a sweet caring man. Melted my heart.
Any ways Magnolia and Beau meet when Magnolia comes to Montana for a job interview. She is wanting t9 get away from a bad past and memories of her sister. Magnolia has car troubles and Beau sees it happens and helps her out with a ride after showing her where to get her car fixed. Well one thing leads to another after lunch the leads to a one night stand. Fast forward a few days and Magnolia is at her new job where she meets her boss none other than Beau. I was laughing at this part in the story, so funny. They keep it professional until Magnolias contract was over at the end of the season. They try very hard to stick to these rules but one bad thing after another happens and fate has other plans for them.
So good. You definitely have to read this story
Magnolia and Beau😍
Once again, a story that I couldn’t put down🙌
Magnolia is our professional soccer player who catches Beau’s attention. However, they discover the day after meeting and a night together, that they are in fact going to be working together as Beau has just taken over running the Cowgirls soccer team🙈
For months they try to deny their attraction but as the end of season approaches they both make alternative plans. However, before they can finish the season both Beau and Magnolia’s pasts and presents collide😳
This story was heartfelt for me in that I have a son with special needs and understood more than most about little Iris. I’ve also experienced loss of a loved one through suicide so this story resonates just a little more. Some sad parts to this story that I hope the characters are able to endure😢 I received an advanced copy and voluntarily leave my honest review❤️‍🩹
I absolutely devoured this book from start to finish!
I have always loved Lani Lynn Vale’s books for a mixture of reasons but mainly because the plots are unique and the character banter frequently has me in stitches. Well Aware lived up to my expectations and went well and truly beyond!
Not only was Magnolia an amazing heroine but Beau was perfection. AND we can’t forget about Miss Iris! Oh my goodness, that little girl has my heart even though she may be fictional! Iris is Magnolia’s niece/daughter who is four years old and autistic. Lani wrote her character perfectly! I aww’d that many times reading about her! Her interactions with Beau were so cute!
I loved that Magnolia is a professional soccer player and that Beau, was acting CEO of her team. Their relationship build was incredible to read.
I honestly could go on and on about this book and never stop gushing about it. I loved it all!
I can’t wait for the next book in the series!
Addictive, angsty goodness! Vale is on fire with delivering delectable characters, meaningful happily ever afters and family life galore with her Don't Date Him series and I'm totally here for it. This one centers around pro soccer player Magnolia Baker and biker high school teacher/turned CEO Beaufort Vanderbilt. She's living life for her late sister and he's wishing he could get rid of his nightmare. Both characters have a strong back story and family drama following them everywhere they go, so watching them casually hook up, then become so meaningful to each other while juggling life and turmoil was a lot of fun. He's sweet, sincere and sexy as all get out. She's determined, diligent and delightfully head over heals quickly. Great characters, combustible chemistry and lots of angst that they make it through beautifully. Loved every minute of them and looking forward to more to come in the series!
Now that she is a mother, Magnolia needs to make decisions that are best for her daughter Iris. With this being her last year of playing soccer professionally she needs to be with a team that provides daycare, so she decides to leave Texas and play in Montana. When she meets the CEO of the team she is surprised to find out that he is the man she spent last night with.
After leaving the Marines Beau transitioned into teaching science. Now he needs to put that on hold as the women’s soccer team his father owns is in disarray because of his sister’s lack of management. Seeing Magnolia again he knows he wants a future with her and the way he relates to Iris and she to him is heartwarming.
This story has everything you love from this author between the found family, the drama, the suspense and a love that overcomes so much and emerges stronger. The characters of Magnolia and Beau engaging, Iris is adorable and we get to catch up with the other characters we know.
I was pulled right into this story. The story has pain, twists & turns, secrets, and heartbreak.
If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first
House of BS & Lies (Don't Date Him #1)
People We Avoid (Don't Date Him #2)
Not A Side Chick (Don't Date Him #3)
Be The Full Problem (Don't Date Him, #4)
Forget That Guy (Don't Date Him, #5)
Spicy Disaster (Don't Date Him, #6)
Not A Gentleman (Don't Date Him, #7)
With Spite (Don't Date Him, #8)
This is Magnolia and Beaufort’s story. It was supposed to be one night. But when she meets the part owner of the soccer team it’s the same man. They try hard to stay away from each other, but the pull is just too strong. Lots of emotions in the story. She helps him and he helps her. Family drama all around. Her daughter is great and really adds to the story. Some very sad moments and some equally great moments.
I highly recommend this book.
I am never disappointed with a LLV romance. She always brings to life the sassiest of FMCs and the growliest of leading men. Beau and Magnolia are no exception.
What starts as a one night stand gets a little awkward when Beau is Magnolia's new boss. But what I loved was, you just knew they'd work it out. Beau has such a strong bond not only with Magnolia, but also with her autistic daughter. His patience and love for her is limitless and adds to the gorgeousness of this narrative. Magnolia is the fiercest of mothers. Every decision and action is in Iris's best interest.
And of course, there is the constant underlying narrative threat that gives the story its unique LLV suspense and intrigue. Apollo is a constant fixer in the background to overcome any and all concerns. I love how this series has progressed and Beau and Magnolia are a perfect addition.
This is the 9th book in this brilliant series from Lani and its Beau's turn! Lani has this magical way of weaving these stories and worlds that make you feel part of them, that make you feel like family and Beau's story is no different!
Magnolia and Beau share one hell of a one-night stand, not knowing who the other really is until they meet in an unexpected way. Beau is her new boss of the soccer team she plays for. They just have to remain professional as she finishes her last season.
As always Lani writes a brilliant story filled with friendships, red hot chemistry, secrets and suspense making her stories a page turner and addictive.
I cannot wait for the next book after some sneak peaks at the next couple!
I was gifted a copy by the Author and this is my honest opinion
Emotionally charged, explosive chemistry, and a delicious character driven story with a plot twist you won’t see coming. Beau and Magnolia’s story takes us on an emotional journey that will leave you with your heart full and your soul singing. LLV does an amazing job with delicate subjects like domestic violence. Making it an integral part of the story without it taking over or seemingly less important. Beau and Magnolia have instant chemistry given the night they spent together and the effort it takes to keep their relationship on a professional level. But the relationship between Beau and Iris melted my heart. This little girl doesn’t even realize just how special she is and she most definitely has Beau wrapped around her finger lol. Such a great story and a wonderful addition to this already amazing series. I can’t wait for more!
I swear I love LLV’s writing!! I could read her every day all day!! Her stories are just so fascinating and funny and in this one it was so freaking sad!!! It always it’s so much harder when we lose one of the good guys and I don’t like it!!! I don’t want to spoil this book anymore than that for you. But this is Beau’s book and I’ve been waiting on his book. I love how it will go back and tell a little bit of what we’ve already read and then like catch us up on the current couple in that situation. And I think Magnolia was perfect for him. And what she did for her sister was amazing but sad!! It’s amazing what some family will do for others. And what some made families will do for each other and that’s what Lani writes about and I love that. I highly recommend her books!! Especially if you love crazy and funny!!
This is the 9th book in this phenomenal series, and this is Magnolia and Beaufort’s story.
Magnolia and Beau share a one-night stand, only to find out that when she goes to the 1st practice of the season, in her last season playing soccer with the Cowgirl’s, that he is her new boss.
This is a well written easy to read, emotional roller coaster story, with family dynamics, friendships, heartbreak, tension, secrets, drama, mystery, rivalry, sacrifices, loyalty, challenges, revelations, engaging and relatable characters, humour, witty banter, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, haunting, and unpredictable, addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
The ninth book in the series. Of course I was going to read this because of the series and author, but it also had me at single mom romance. I loved little Iris so much. Some of my favorite scenes were with ones with Beau and Iris. They just melted heart. I'm not gonna lie there were a couple times I almost stopped reading. My heart was ripped out of my chest and broke into a million pieces. This book definitely took me on a roller coaster of emotions that's for sure. Lani Lynn Vale worked her writing magic and had sucked me right into this book. I read it in a day because though it ripped my heart out at times I just couldn't put it down! I can't wait for the next book in the series.
Well Aware is the ninth book in the Don’t Date Him series. This is Beau and Magnolia’s story. What starts out as a one night stand turns into something so much more. Magnolia is new to town for a job on the local soccer team. This is where her and Beau meet and spend a magical night together then the next day she meets the new owner of the team. Guess who happens to be the new owner, that’s right it’s her one night stand! They are drawn to each other but decide nothing can happen between them until after the season. During the season their connection grows from friendship to something so much more. Their story will grab you from the very beginning. This story is full of suspense, heartfelt moments with twists and turns. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.
I really enjoy a good forbidden romance and Beau and Magnolia had all of the elements required for it to be a really good one. Unfortunately, for me at least, a lot of the potential of that wasn't fully realized, at least in my opinion.
That said, I enjoyed them as a couple, and I enjoyed the external drama in this one, which isn't always something I can say, but it worked for me here. The characters were strong, and I liked both of them. I also believed in their reactions to things and that the situations they found themselves in were also mostly realistic.
I haven't read the other titles in the series, but this one functions as a standalone and I didn't feel like I was missing anything important.
Whew wee! This one is full of love, twists, turns, and villians!
I wasnt sure if I would like Beau and Magnolia's story, but its one of her more drama filled books to date. There's the love story between them that just sucks you in. Then comes the twists and turns you dont expect. The villains are great villains and you really want to reach through the pages and throat lunch one of the bad guys. Honestly it is one of the better books in this series. ALL of them are 5 stars to me, but this one really is my favorite. It catches your attention and keeps it all the way through the story. The story line is smooth and it flows really well.
Lani Lynn Vale has a brand new book in her swoony Don't Date Him series and y'all. This was crazy good- maybe even my top favorite in this series. Well Aware is the ninth in this series, giving us Beaufort and Magnolia's story, and this is not one you want to miss. Packed to the brims with heart, heat and all of the feels... these two hooked me from the very start and kept me hooked until the last word. I adore Lani, and these books are absolute fire and crazy addicting. Run don't walk to grab up this beauty.
I can highly recommend this author and series y'all.
