I hate talking about myself. I'm awkward AF and write super spicy books with twisty plots. Most of my books are dark romance so always check the content warnings!
Was so good, so in detailed. I love reading those cult, yeah you know who I mean finally get what was coming to them, the scissors oh I totally felt that and I'm a girl.. lol BRILLIANT!!! Heather deserves a happy ending, closure and I feel she finally got peace, got happiness... got love, real love in her life not to mention a real family. Athena is amazing, I love her heart so much. Bones .. Mr. Softy but don't ever tell him I said that lol. Absolutely loved this series. I hope this isn't the end...
AAAAAHHHHH!!!!!! I hate that it's over but I love this ending! As it says in the trigger warnings, this book is even heavier than the first two so make sure to think about your own mental health! But it was soooo good. The representation of these heavy topics and their aftermath was just so profound. There were some bits that I feel like we might have benefitted from a bit more information, but given the subject matter surrounding those places, I completely understand skimming over it a bit. These small bits did not detract from the story at all, of course, there is just too much going on (in a good way). It's hard to say all that I love without giving away too much. It is the perfect end to the series, even if it did have me worried about 65% through (IYKYK)
***I'm going to go a bit more in depth from here so this is your spoiler warning ***
I was worried that they handled the big bad with like 30% of the book left to go, but the wrap up was PERFECT. I understand why the book went on longer than expected and I am so glad it did, I needed the closure.
Heather is such a strong character, especially given everything she has gone through. This, of course, is one of the many reasons the triplets adore her. I love that they help her deprogramming by simply reminding her of who she really is, not by offering her simple platitudes. I also love that they are each something that she needs and she is what they all need in different ways. I was really hoping that she would adopt Olivia, but I also really love that she knew she was not ready. I appreciate that Chelle added this in because it also shows Heather's growth. She is letting herself be selfish, as Carter says is allowed to do, but more importantly, she is also doing what is best for her niece. Athena's creation of the home for the girls and her and Bones agreeing to raise Olivia until/if Heather was ready just made my heart swell so much.
I love Knox, I do, but if I could only choose two of the brothers, I would let him go. We are given a more in depth look at him in Retribution and I am very happy that Heather loves him equally with his brothers, especially since he was immediately on the Heather-Bandwagon in Destruction. But I have a thing for psychos and broody assholes, so Killian and Carter are my personal favorites. I did kind of feel bad that he was the last to be with Heather again after she healed enough for it, but Killian and Carter both needed it more and she needed them first. I do appreciate that it was not a super long time between them all, either. And I love his date night idea with just her and one of them every so often!
I love how far both Killian and Carter come in this series as well. Carter is still not fully healed, of course and he may never be, but this also reminds us that that is ok. When he held Olivia and melted, I nearly lost my mind. I nearly screamed at the book "BITCH, IF YOU DON'T ADOPT THAT BABY!!!" I think this also shows that Heather was being selfless as well as selfish, because she DID want to adopt Olivia and if she was truly selfish, she would have, especially with Carter's reaction to her. But she knew that she was not what Olivia needed. I also think that Carter being the one to legally marry Heather was the absolute perfect choice, because they were the OG two. He is the one that rescued (kidnapped) her and brought her into their lives, where she could then save them all. It was just perfect.
I feel like if this was not a "why choose" and Heather had to make a choice, Carter definitely should be it, but I think my choice would be Killian. He's still a dick, but more mellowed out, because their family is whole and they are all what each other needs. But he also needs a brat to tame, that allows him to get his assholishness out in a healthy way. At the end of the book, he is still the leader and protector of his family, but not in a toxic way anymore. His redemption arc was just *chef's kiss*. He's my fave, I will hear no slander about him.
I really need to read the Bonetti brothers series apparently, because I love all of them almost as much as I love the triplets. And Bones immediately adopting Heather as a little sister and being more protective over her even over his own blood cousins is EVERYTHING. His wedding gift to her nearly made me cry and I totally understood after reading that part that that was why she did not want to take it when he tried to give it to her. The addition of "found family", especially when it's technically long-lost family, was the icing on the cake that I did not know I needed. And Heather fitting in with the Bonetti wives nearly made me cry. These are women that have had trauma as well so can understand her, especially Athena, and she does not feel the need to be their saviour, which was her role to the girls of her family. She now has female friends that can just be friends and sisters. And they all get a larger family that loves them and has their back. I just... I can't say enough about this series and this is already the longest review I've ever done outside of high school!
⚠️ CHECK THE TRIGGER WARNINGS THEY ARE THERE FOR A REASON‼️
This book chewed me up, spat me out, ran me over with a Bonetti family SUV, reversed back over me for good measure, and then somehow healed my emotional wounds before the final page.
I knew Chelle Rose was going to hurt me. That's what she does. I just wasn't prepared for the level of psychological warfare she unleashed in Retribution.
Vengeance and justice were served.
And holy hell, was it delicious.
The first two books built toward this finale so perfectly that it genuinely felt like one giant story split into three parts. Every heartbreak mattered. Every sacrifice mattered. Every wound mattered. And when everything finally came together? Absolute perfection.
Heather.
Sweet baby Heathen.
The word "warrior" doesn't even begin to cover what this woman is. She is resilience, rage, strength, determination, and chaos wrapped up in one tiny terrifying package. Watching her take back her power, destroy her abusers, and free innocent children in the process was one of the most satisfying things I've ever read.
And can we talk about the Bonetti men?
Because I love them all.
Probably an unhealthy amount.
Killian, Knox, and Carter spent this entire book proving exactly why they deserve Heather.
Carter had me ready to commit crimes with lines like:
"Kill the fucker who stole her from us. She’s my breath. The oxygen I need to survive. I can’t fucking breathe without her."
Sir.
Please.
I am trying to read respectfully.
Then he follows it up with:
"I’m not the same man I was before. She changed me. I’ll live for her and for my brothers. If that’s taken from me, I’ll burn the entire world to ash on my way out."
Excuse me while I launch myself directly into the sun.
Knox continued to be the king of unexpected romance.
"I’ve always hated cargo pants, but she needed the extra pockets and I’ve learned something about myself. Anything I hated before, I fucking love on her."
Honestly? That's love.
Not flowers.
Not diamonds.
Cargo pants.
And when Heather asked him to admit his brother was attractive and he responded:
"I’ll do just about anything for this woman, but telling her my brother is hot? Hard pass, Tesoro."
I laughed so hard I nearly needed medical attention.
Killian remained my precious, murderous baby.
"Beautiful and naked. Dangerous combination."
Sir, respectfully, stop.
No actually don't.
And then Chelle had the audacity to give us:
"Every fucking part of you is delicious. Your flawless skin. Sweet cunt. Even your blood. My addiction to you is debilitating."
I would like compensation for the emotional damage.
Heather herself delivered some of my favourite moments.
"Guns, crosses, my men. Yep. I’ve got everything I need."
A woman after my own heart.
And when she finally got her moment of retribution?
I was kicking my feet and cheering.
"I can’t wait to make you cry, Wicked Little Bitch."
ABSOLUTE CINEMA.
But as much as I adore the romance, what truly stole my heart was the family.
Not just the men.
Not just Heather.
The entire family Chelle has built throughout this universe.
The found family.
The blood family.
The people who choose each other over and over again.
Seeing familiar faces return, watching all the brothers come together, and witnessing relationships heal and grow had me sobbing into my Kindle at 2am.
Also...
Can we all take a moment to appreciate Bones?
The silent MVP.
The man deserves flowers.
And possibly a medal.
This is the darkest book of the trilogy by far, but somehow it's also the one filled with the most hope. Please check your trigger warnings because Chelle absolutely does not pull her punches. The trauma is heavy and the emotional damage is real.
But the payoff?
Worth every single tear.
By the end I was emotionally exhausted, completely fulfilled, ugly crying, smiling, and already considering a full reread.
The triplets will forever own a piece of my heart. Especially Kill. That's my baby.
He Who Shall Not Be Named got exactly what he deserved and let me tell you...
It was fkn fantastic.
There's no way you can read books one and two and not finish this journey. Retribution completes the story exactly the way it was meant to.
How Do You Say Goodbye to a Series That Owns a Piece of Your Soul?
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I wasn’t sure my poor heart could survive Retribution. Not because I doubted Chelle Rose. Quite the opposite. I knew she was about to destroy me emotionally—I just wasn’t prepared for how thoroughly she would do it.
This wasn’t just the final book in the Bonetti Bastards trilogy. It felt like the culmination of an entire universe. Watching familiar faces appear, seeing all the brothers together again, revisiting characters I’ve loved, hated, rooted for, and obsessed over for years… I was a complete mess. And honestly? I’d happily do it all over again.
Whatever these authors are putting in their coffee, I need answers because the level of talent required to create something this immersive is unreal.
When my ARC landed at 11pm, I had every intention of being sensible. That lasted approximately five minutes. The real world could wait. Sleep could wait. Responsibilities could wait. Heather was calling. And once I started, there was absolutely no stopping me.
One of the things Chelle does better than almost anyone is make me feel like I’m standing right beside her characters. I don’t just read their dialogue—I hear it. I don’t just witness their pain—I carry it. Every fear, every victory, every heartbreak, every moment of hope feels intensely real.
The first two books built toward this finale so perfectly that the trilogy reads like one giant story split into three parts. Every moment matters. Every wound matters. Every sacrifice matters.
And Heather… God, Heather. She remains one of my favourite FMCs of all time. Her resilience, her strength, her determination to keep moving forward despite everything thrown at her—it was impossible not to love her from beginning to end.
What I loved most about Retribution was that while it is undoubtedly the darkest book of the trilogy, it’s also the one filled with the most hope. The found family that Chelle has built throughout this series shines brighter than ever here. Watching these characters discover that family isn’t always blood—and that sometimes blood family can become family again—was beautiful, heartbreaking, and healing all at once.
The bonds between Heather and her men are everything. But it’s the expansion of that family, the way they all fight for one another, protect one another, and choose one another over and over again that truly stole my heart.
That said… Please check your trigger warnings. I’m begging. Chelle does not shy away from the darkness. The trauma is heavy. The subject matter is difficult. This series asks a lot from its readers emotionally. But the reward? Absolutely worth it. By the time I reached the final pages, I was emotionally exhausted, completely fulfilled, and struggling to accept that this journey was over.
Or maybe not quite over… Because if I caught those little hints correctly, there may be a next generation waiting in the wings, and let me tell you—I would follow this family anywhere.
So yes, I finished this book as an emotional wreck. Yes, I cried. Yes, I immediately wanted to start the entire series again. And no, I regret absolutely nothing. Thank you, Chelle Rose, for Heather, for the Bonetti Bastards, for this unforgettable universe, and for reminding me why I fell in love with dark romance in the first place.
And what a twisted, wild and heartbreaking ride it was to get there.
Chelle has given Heather and the Bonettis everything and more. I was here for it all.
Killian, Knox and Carter did everything they said they would do for their Heathen, they helped her get Justice and supported her every step of the way.
I love these guys and their dynamic and fell in love with each of them a little bit more wih very chapter..
But the silent mvp here was Bones!! I loved everything he did for them and how he welcomed them into the family.
Heather is a BOSS, she took down all her abusers and set free all those innocent children in the process. I loved that she took her power back. She more than earned her happy ending.
The triplets will be my favorites forever, especially Kill, he's my baby!!
I have enjoyed this saga to the max and while I'm sad, its the end of their journey, Im so happy they finally found their happiness forever and have made a true family with each other.
He who shall not be named got exactly what he deserved and it was fkn fantastic 👌🏽🔥🫶🏽
"That beautiful blush to your cheeks. It’s one of my favorite hobbies. Making your face bright red. Second only to making your pretty a$$ red.”
What a freakin’ retribution it was! I couldn’t wait for this book, and Chelle delivered! Little Heathen is fantastic 👌😍 She truly lives up to her nickname. The word warrior doesn’t even do her justice. I loved her diabolical mind! This book revealed even more layers to her character, including some moments that had me sniffling. Chelle, the magic you created in these pages... wow. I love your creative brain! What a way to end this series 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Of course, I devoured this book. I had to know how Little Heathen and her men would unleash their chaos. You had me worried for a bit there. Now excuse me, I’ve got something in my eye…I was sad and freaking happy to see the end for these 4. As with the previous books in the series, please check the trigger warnings because there’s some heavy content in these pages. Virtual high five Chelle, because this trilogy was something special!
Retribution is dark, intense, and a satisfying finale!!
I love this trilogy!! Thank you Chelle for putting us through a rollercoaster ride of emotions, tearing our hearts up, and giving us a great ending 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Heather finally gets her justice, and watching Killian, Knox, and Carter stand beside her through every step made this book hit even harder. Their bond is solid, loyal, and easy to love.
Bones!! Was so happy our Bonetti family makes appearances, and I adored how Bones welcomed everyone into the family!!
Heather is a powerhouse. She takes her life back, protects others, and earns every bit of her happy ending.
This whole saga has been wild, emotional, and unforgettable, and this final book delivers exactly what it needed to. Vengeance served, justice earned, and a perfect ending! 🫶🫶🫶🫶
There's no way you can go through books 1 & 2 and feel this one doesn't complete the story. One of the best romances ever told. What it took them all to get to the moments that happen within these pages.
Chelle's writing is so hypnotic to me. I feel like I'm standing right beside these characters and hearing them speak. Feeling their pain, joy, worries, etc. The way the first two books set this one up is so well done that I felt like this was one giant book.
The found family. The blood family ties. The way that not only do the three MMCs and the MFC exist for each other, but how they find themselves with more family than they expected by the end.
This book is darker than one and two but also...lighter in other ways. Check your triggers. Please. I beg you.
I have the honor of being on Chelle's alpha team. I have seen what she puts into her books. Read this series. Wait for the audios if you must, but don't miss out on a story that really does have it all.
Well… minus all the trauma Heather endures. But seeing her finally get the retribution she deserved? Absolutely worth every emotional punch this book delivered.
Favorite Quote:
“This woman’s words hit me square in the chest. I want this for her. If she wants the goddamn sun, I’ll yank it from the fucking sky for her.” ☀️❤️🥹 Excuse me while I melt into a puddle.
I came into this series fully invested in the Bonetti Triplets, but somehow this book completely stole my heart. Getting more of Bones and his brothers was everything I didn’t know I needed, and by the end of this story Bones officially claimed the top spot.
And that ENDING?! PERFECT. Absolutely perfect.
Thank you, Chelle Rose, for another addictive, emotional, unhinged ride. 🥀❤️🥹
Bonetti Triplets Ranking 🥇 Carter 🥈 Knox 🥉 Killian
Well what an end to the series. Please do check the trigger warnings as this book is heavier than the others.
It continues on from the last and you are thrown straight back into it. With Heather suffering more at the hands of her family, but she is a great strong character. And dealing with this new trauma is hard, and I'm glad she didn't instantly bounce back. And the way the triples are with her, always reassuring her when the trauma surface and helping deprogram her by simply reminding her of who she is. All the triplets just keep getting better, so sweet and Melt worthy. Each complements another side of Heather.
I did love this book but not as much as the others, as everything you expect to happen is done within about 60% of the book. I did love the ending, it was so sweet and after everything it was needed. Especially with the reunion of all the Bonnetti's. I think I am just an action junkie, and loving Heather's unhinged side. All in all a great ending to the series.
The end of an era!!! I first read about Heather in the wellard asylum books and she catch my attention so much that I was so happy to read this series. Because I wanted to know her backstory so badly. And I got to know it and it was a sad one. This one just finished the series and gave Heather back everything she needed and more. It also gave Carter some control back after what happened to him too. Even though this book had so much going on you got to see the characters grow at the end a little bit more. You also got to see the men finally give their women everything she needed. And I loved everything about it. Honestly I felt like her father and mother should have had more happened to them, one could wish. But I'm glad they were able to do what they did at the end of the book. Also knowing that the three brothers finally have their family and so does Heather just makes this book end with a great HEA!
What a finale! Please still pay attention to the trigger warnings. This book is still no joke. Also reading the book in order is highly advised so that everything makes sense. Again the characters are well written and continue to evolve wonderfully. There is still suspense that had me on the edge of my seat. My heart hurts for poor Heather. She doesn’t get a brake! I love that her men refuse to give up or let her go. These men are dark walking red flags but in the book world, they are men you wish you had for yourself. If you can stand it the things Heather and the guys do works well for them. It’s not that they take enjoyment in the darkness but at the same time they do. Bad people in this book deserve bad things to happen to them. This review is written before the audiobook release so I cannot wait for it. I know it will be amazing and I will definitely listen to it.
~Retribution~The Bonetti Bastards Book 3~Chelle Rose~
“Everything. My entire fucking world. My life started the moment I saw you. So when you ask what I see when I look at you— that’s easy for me to answer. I see you.”
♡CUE THE TEARS because I'm so sad this trilogy is over...but I'm also super happy with the way it ended & definitely ecstatic with whats to come. You will get NO spoilers from me except for retribution was served & I loved every single second of it!
If you love a good why choose dark romance trilogy, with triplets who believe sharing is caring, & a plot that leaves you second guessing up until the very end look no further you found it!♡
This is the third book to the Bonetti Bastards series and it was wickedly beautiful! You don’t have to read the Bonetti Brothers series to follow along with this trilogy. I did and I’m glad I did because all the books came together.
Retribution answers questions and fills in the blanks you have from the first two. I think the author did a fantastic job of completing the storyline.
I am not usually a “why choose” girl, but this trilogy is one of the few I enjoyed!
There is an HEA but you need to check your trigger warnings. It can be dark for anyone that has any possible triggers that could be harmful to your mental health.
I am so sad to see them go. I really wished I could get more of the Bonetti Bastards! I need more of them!!
Chelle was not kidding when she said this book was going to be darker than the last one! To me, it was edging on pitch black!
Knox, the consent king really came through in this book I felt. Taking lead and prioritising Heather's and his brothers safety and overall health.
Heather, our Heathen she really went through it. It wasn't enough she went the horrors when she was a child that she. Like a Phoenix she rose from the ashes and came back with bloody vengeance!
Carter really struggled at the start but was perfectly unhinged and sweet for heather and it made me weep. The pain and healing both him and Heather went through hit me hard.
Killian, my favourite. Who would have thought I'd go from hating him in the first book to loving him by the of this one. He is a true protector.
I was not at all disappointed with how they got revenge and the happiness but I was really sad to say goodbye to these characters. Bonetti lover forever!

TRIGGER WARNINGS; this book is even heavier than the first two so make sure to think about your own mental health! Check the trigger warnings before starting. This one is a lot. Make sure to start at the beginning of the series. This is NOT a standalone. I hate that it's over!! I was seriously so obsessed and in love with Carter! The ending was perfect though.
It was a fitting title for this 3rd and final installment to the Bastards. Reading how Heather was tortured, and so forth was truly heart breaking, but finding out that the three men she tried to save over and over again still loved her despite it all and wanted to remain at her side was truly the best ending one could have hoped for. Trigger warnings always get me, so knowing there was more then a fair share of them in this one as well had me. I had quite a few laughs, and a lot of tears when she thought she wasn't worthy of anything from these three men that had fallen so far in love with her that she couldn't understand it.
This book. Omg I loved it. The storyline had me in a grip. I couldn't put it down. The FMC is an amazing woman surrounded but a fantastic support system. Yesi m jealous of a fictional character because of the men she has. The spice was spicing 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ there were moments where I had to take a break because it got so intense. I love that previous characters from other books are linked in. Overall an amazing read, it has a bit of everything. I love it and suggest you read it too.
Chelle Rose! You did not disappoint with this 3rd and final book of the Bonetti Bastards! My heart broke for Heather and her 3 guys! Although I did love the ending, it fits with the rest of the Bonetti books. I loved the crossover factor that happened between these characters and the Bonetti Brothers. For all the suspense and craziness that happens, I am so glad I got to know Heather, Killian, Knox and Carter. Chelle Rose, you out did yourself! I would highly recommend this book.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
The finali to the BB series! And you'll still want more! Heather, Killian, Knox and Carter will have you hooked on every word and action, the trouble seems mever ending but you can never count a Bonetti out! Your heart will be in your throat at moments, with steamy scenes, dark twist, dark themes, action and some familiar faces!
After everything the triplets and Heather have been through they deserve this ending. Am I sad this series has come to an end, yes. I can’t wait to see what is in store for the kids. Though these four pulled all the emotions out of me during their story. It was so worth it. And definitely do not skip any of the trigger warnings.
This series was an emotional roller coaster but so good. This book wrapped everything up so well and was the perfect ending! I really enjoyed these characters and while reading this realized that I started a series or two late, so I will definitely be reading the backlog and getting all caught up!
Whoa 🤯 this book was crazy good my goodness the twists and turns that went on girl you had my heartstrings heather went through so much knox, Carter, and Killian kept her grounded and she faced everything head on this book was a 10
Retribution is the perfect ending for this trilogy! You see the growth of every single character and it SHINES BRIGHT! 🌟 🌟 🌟🌟🌟 hands down! Vibes are 10/10 Chelles writing truly transports you to the Bonetti universe!!
Please check your triggers THIS BOOK IS DARK! You and your mental health matter!
Retribution is the final installment in the Bonetti Bastards series, and after reading books one and two, I needed this book more than I needed to breathe. The cliffhanger at the end of book two had me neck-deep in stress.
This entire series was a roller coaster in the best possible way. As a why-choose dark romance, it really stood out for me. The plot was absolutely insane, and my jaw was on the floor for most of the book. The way Carter, Killian, and Knox treated Heather was peak dark romance, but when the men finally found a family in one another? I fucking lost it. Their connection was something I didn’t even know I needed until it happened.
We also get another taste of Bones, Kage, Reaper, and, of course, my favorite—Psycho.
Chelle Rose has never written a boring or bad romance. Her books always have the perfect mix of smut, chaos, and enough plot twists to give me whiplash, and I fall completely in love every single time. I already cannot wait for her next release.
We've come to the third and final book in this trilogy, and it's been a wild ride. There was another huge cliffhanger from the last book, so I was so glad to see when this ARC dropped!
This book was filled with so much emotion and growth. All the characters have had such a long road to get to where they are, and they are strong in their own way. The chemistry among them is amazing, and the spice is perfect!
Everything came together in this book after all the things that happened in the first two. There was drama, romance, tension, suspense and a HEA!
