Another great one! Boy, this month is just chock full of fantastic reads!

Earth Hole 1: The Husband Keeper, the first in this series from Badger Therese and Lena White, was a charming and highly erotic tale around a girl finding a mysterious device in the attic of her family's summer home and becoming obsessed with it. The central premise and the romantic target of that book made it an irresistibly fun read.
Book 2 continues with that premise and amps up the sci-fi part of it considerably. All of the elements one expects from these authors' books are there, the enforced nudity of the female characters, the restraints, the institutionalized sex and captivity. Strongly written main and secondary characters now combine with a very vividly detailed world. In fact, the world-building here is what stands out and makes this book so special.
Add in the tongue-in-cheek and subversive humor, and you have yourself a real treat. There are poignant moments as well, as the people left behind on Earth have their own, important role in the story. As with the first book, a cliffhanger draws this part of the tale to a satisfying conclusion, making us pine for the next book to come, which for me, cannot be too soon.
