I am a first-time author and survivor of the Scottish care system. My debut memoir, I Thought You Cared, tells my true story of abuse, trauma, addiction, and the systematic betrayals within Scottish children’s services.
Drawing on my lived experience of the care system, trauma, and recovery, I write to shine a light on experiences that were kept hidden and silenced for many years. Writing has become a new passion and a powerful way for me to reclaim my voice, challenge injustice, and give visibility to those whose stories are too often ignored.
Author of stories that come from the heart. If you’ve read my book, you’ll understand why this story means so much to me, I truly want it to reach the readers who need it.
Thank you for every review, message, and reader who takes a chance on my work. If you’ve enjoyed the book and ever feel like sharing your thoughts on Amazon as well as Goodreads, it genuinely helps others discover it. Grateful for your support always.
