This is another story I am proud to say that I pre-read before it’s release.
Hargrave is swiftly becoming a master of the erotic story, be it 60,000 words + or 5-10,000 words. Her ability to fill the pages with sensuality and raw sexuality is a skill I would kill to have, and her characters radiate through her words.
Cody has a fantasy and a secret. Heather, his girlfriend wants his fantasies to come true before it’s too late. This is where Suzanne comes into the picture.
New to the area due to a bad break up, she has her own secrets, and reasons for going along with Heather’s plans.
Although it’s only a short story, Hargrave packs it fully with both sex and plot. While the story is erotica, the plot is full of twists and turns which are emphasised by the fantastic sex scenes.
Fully recommended for a quick and steamy read.

Audible and book review: La Petite Mort and Ruby Rivers
The narration was spot on. Clear and precise and oh so good. I would definitely listen to them again on any work they submitted.
This is my first book by this author and it was one spicy little tidbit! I’m not a fan of F/F or F/M/F and was not aware this was going to entail that plot. However, I have to admit it was well written, developed pretty well considering the length of the story, and has a great twist and surprise at the end. It did leave it a little open ended I thought.

The last birthday present he will ever receive is life itself. What a wonderful twist on a paranormal theme while keeping the storyline smooth and real! I’m coming to think R.E. Hargrave can write nothing wrong. Highly recommended.

Oh boy... this book was AMAZING. Even though it's really short I truly enjoyed it so much.
It's my first MFF and it was so hot and so great. I really really like it.
Also my first time with this narrators and they were brilliant, their voices pretty acurate and easy to listen. La Petite Mort has a really sexy voice and Ruby Rivers voice is so fresh and it was great for the age of the characters.
I just hope there's a second part of this.

AUDIOBOOK VERSION:
I was unsure what to think by the length of this book at first glance but I was very happy with it. The Narrators are awesome! The Story is hot~ I loved it. It was a great naughty short story and performed wonderfully. Totally recommend it if you have an hour to spare :) Scratch that, make an hour for it! Thank you to the Narrators and RE Hargrave for this nummy goodness.

Confession time – I am not a fan of FF romance. But I am a huge fan of R.E. Hargrave. So when I had the opportunity to read her newest book, Fire Lust, I thought I would give it a try. Well I am so glad that I did because I thought it was a terrific book and just more proof that Ms. Hargrave is extremely talented because she turned me into a fan of a genre that I didn’t think I liked.
Fire Lust is a novella which usually means there is not a lot of opportunity for character development. Yet Ms. Hargrave was able to not only provide three-dimensional characters but give them an entire backstory which cemented their connection. It was obvious from the very first page that Cody and Heather are in love. Their relationship felt authentic and I believed them as a couple. The chemistry between the two was off the charts and their sexual encounter left me hot and bothered.
Then Ms. Hargrave raised the temperature by adding a third to the mix. For Cody’s birthday, Heather was determined to give him his greatest sexual fantasy – a triad with another woman. Heather meets Suzanne in class one day and knows that she would be perfect to fulfill Cody’s dreams. When the three get together, it’s absolute magic. This is where Ms. Hargrave impressed me. As I stated, I am not normally a fan of the FF genre, but Ms. Hargrave wrote a sexual encounter so steamy and so sensual, that I found myself devouring each word. I could easily picture the entire scene as it was happening, and it was unbelievably erotic and stimulating.
As much as I enjoyed Fire Lust there are two small points that keep me from giving it a full five stars. First of all, I would have liked to have seen the moment when Cody shared his devastating news with Heather. I just needed to see her reaction and how the resulting emotions enabled her to fulfill Cody’s fantasy. Secondly, there is some discussion of Suzanne’s dysfunctional relationship with her family. Without giving away any spoilers, this aspect of their relationship is important because it leads to an important reveal about Suzanne. I felt that other than a quick mention that her parents didn’t want to be involved in her life, things were glossed over. Again, I just needed more.
Fire Lust is still filled with magic and fantasy that will leave you smiling and satisfied. I am so glad that Ms. Hargrave dusted this one off and released it. It’s always a joy to read her stories and this one is no exception.

I am so glad RE took this one off the shelf and dusted it off so she could publish it for you readers. If you know anything about her work, you know she invest her heart and soul into each story, weaving a scene of love and sacrifice among the characters. Her words define the true meaning of love and lust for the readers and she didn’t disappoint us with this short story.
Heather and Cody have been together for years, while still in their early twenties their maturity at what they are about to face is outstanding. Cody has cancer and he knows he is going to die. Heather doesn’t get all absorbed in her own pain when she thinks about a future without the man she loves; she focuses on making every one of Cody’s fantasies come true before the final second of his life.
One of his dreams is to have a sexual encounter with Heather and another woman. When Suzanne decides it is time to meet people in this new city she invites Heather for a Halloween/birthday party. Suzanne knew she wasn’t normal and she was also not even on her parents radar for attention, so needing social contact and possibly some love made her the perfect fit for Cody’s fantasy. When the three clicked, the fantasy began and it turned out to be the best birthday Cody ever had.
When the night came and his dreams were fulfilled more than the encounter happened, magic was created. This new adult novella is packed full of sad endings and new beginnings. With the short length of this story, RE Hargrave is able to give a difficult diagnosis incredible hope. It's not easy to get enough information to make novellas good, but somehow she always develops the characters so you know them well and become invested in them, a unique talent. Heather and Cody are finishing out their college career when Cody gets some news about his health. Faced with a grim future, the two are lucky enough to meet new student Suzanne. This changes everything for the three of them. Lots of hot, erotic scenes, Hargrave also intertwines a little supernatural into this book leaving you happy and satisfied(pun intended!).
The pairing of La Petite Mort and Ruby Rivers with this book is pure genius. The two have such incredible chemistry together to begin with and it translates right into the three characters of this story. You can feel the passion, the heat as well as the fear of the future right through your earbuds. This team brought the story to life.

I'm a reader and writer who sits on the fence about erotica. Depending on how it's written I either appreciate it or steer clear all together. When given the opportunity to read a copy of Fire Lust I jumped right in. RE has a tender and sweet side to her that I know from professional and personal levels. I couldn't deny myself the chance to be on the ground floor of this novella. I definitely wasn't disappointed. RE has another Amazon best seller in her hands. The sweet story of three people and the one night of passion and love together left me wanting more. The twist at the end tugged at my heart in a good way. I hold hope that she considers a sequel to this book since I was left with some unknowns, which also left me in my own world of imagination hours later. Congrats and thank you for proving once again, RE, that erotica doesn't have to mean smut.

beautifully written and left me wishing it was so much longer. I read this and was overwhelmed with the emotions it invoked, It was a gorgeous story, with beautful people in its characters Cody,Heather, and Suzanne. They just meshed and you knew it from the start and then the story unfolded and I lost my breath, and without giving any spoilers the plot twist wasn't something I was expecting but truly loved. I seriously hope there might be another story to continue this book, I could read it again and again.

As always, I adored this book from R.E. Hargrave. She always manages to make me fall in love with her characters, and this book was no different. Ms. Hargrave always pushes the boundries between what we as readers expect and what we're given, and she does so with class and poise.
Heather is someone I found myself relating to. She has this passionate love for Cody, yet the fear of losing him is great. A perfect mix of emotions and desire, this book is a must read for anyone looking for a great read.

I loved everything about this novella. It gives you the love story, the friendships, mythical aspect, and fantasy all in one. When we first meet Heather and Cody they are in a relationship that may be coming to end due to and unforseen illness. And all Cody has ever wanted ( but hasnt had ) is two women at the same time. In comes Suzanne, she befriends Heather and in turn agrees to help give Cody his ultimate fantasy. Mrs. Hargrave has done it again. I love everything she has shared with us and cant wait for more.

I received this book free for an honest review.
I have to be honest I am not a paranormal fan, I usually refuse to read them or if I try can not finish them. Fire Lust caught me from the first chapter and before I knew it I was finishing the book.
Mrs. Hargrave yet again has weaved a beautiful story and captivating her audience. Though I am left with a few back story questions I truly hope this means that there maybe more to come to this beautiful story.

I received an early release copy of Fire Lust from RE Hargrave for my honest opinion.
Wow...just #bookporn is the only way I can say it. This was SO hot! Aptly named, this book is so smoking hot.
Warning...M/F and M/F/F...so if you're scared of a little girl time...
The characters are awesome. Heather is so friendly and outgoing, and willing to anything for Cody's birthday...especially once she finds out it may be his last.

WOW!!! This is my favorite book by this author. It’s another quick book, and I was so mad that it ended. I could read this book over and over again. Heather is about to lose Cody. Then a new girl comes to town, Suzanne. Suzanne and heather hit it off, and boy the chemistry is seeping off the pages. I thought this book was fun and hot. The heat level doesn’t disappoint and you will be fanning yourself after this book. Great Job!

What a great quick read! I actually listened to the audio version & absolutely love the narrators! If you don't have the right voice to match the character it can ruin the story. There's a little bit of everything in here. Love, friendship, insecurities, loss, miracles, experimenting in the bedroom!
There's also a little twist that was a pleasant surprised. Does not lack in the steamy sex scenes but is a touching love story above all else.

Well, I love the nattators, but the story not so much.
Steamy? Yes, but there was Things that I think didn't fit and it was to simple. If it was written more and explained more about some parts of this book I think the stroy would have become better.

This was a great short. Very naughty which I love and an interesting ending. I didn't suspect what Suzanne was and when I read it at the end, I thought that it was such a great idea to write about. I loved this book and give it a 5-star rating and I hope that others go and read it.

Well written with a compelling story with convincing and likable characters. This is a great read but definitely NSFW or for a young audience. One of the best pieces of erotica I've read this year.

The love that heather has for Cody to give him the ultimate birthday gift was amazing. This is a definite must read. This book contains it all. RE Hargrave is excellent.

I am so glad I got to read this story. Loved the paranormal and 3 some combo. Without giving away the ending all I will say is ....WOW!!!
