His stepsister. His secret. His obsession. A dark billionaire stepbrother romance with an OTT possessive hero who turns the world upside down when someone tries to take her from him.
THORNE
She's my stepsister. We’ve been hooking up in secret for two years, and I’m not going to stop.
I track her location and I watch her on the cameras I installed. I've hospitalized men for touching my little brat. She's mine in every way that matters, and no one in my family can ever find out.
But I've been lying to her about more than just us. I know what her father really was. I know what her mother did to protect her. And I’m not supposed to let her ever find out.
Then someone takes her to get to my family. And the things they do to her are sent to me on video.
Now every secret I've kept is unraveling. My family knows what she is to me. And I don't care anymore. I'm getting her back, and nothing is going to stop me from keeping her.
SLOANE
I fell for my stepbrother knowing it would ruin us both. But I can’t get enough of him. Two years of making him jealous and tempting him back to me every time he tried to stop.
Then a man I thought I could trust takes everything from me. And in the aftermath, I find out that everyone in my family has been lying to me—about my father, about my mother, about the life I thought I had.
Thorne is out for blood. But he doesn't look at me the same.
And I need him to. Because he's the only thing that's going to put me back together—if the secrets don't tear us apart first.

This is Book 4 in the Sinclair Billionaires series (The Raven Society) and can be read as a standalone, though the series is best read in order. Content may be triggering to some readers and recommend checking the content warnings on the author's website.
This is an explicit, dark billionaire stepbrother romance with a possessive, angsty, and suspenseful tone. It is book 4 of 4 in the Sinclair Billionaires series (The Raven Society) and has a guaranteed HEA, written in dual first person, present tense. Fans of Shantel Tessier's The Lords series will devour this book and this world.
Dahlia Vale writes addictive, dark secret society romances in the world of The Ravens, where alpha-holes seduce, power corrupts, and love always comes with a price.
If you’re into obsession, dominance, betrayal, and just the right amount of emotional ruin… you’re in the right place.
Wait, ok, sloane may be my fav. The Dahliaverse did not miss (stab me in the heart why don't ya). The plot twist?! 🤯 That was a crazy book to finish the series and so worth it.
This book was straight spice when I opened it There love for one another is secret. Its Taboo but there's no changing there love. Then Sloane is kidnapped by someone she thought was her friend. Thorne is going bat crazy since they took her. The scenes are dark and you should know your triggers before going into this book. Thankfully they make it to Sloane... But then Bam! They get Sloane's mom. Just when you think it's going to end, your thrown into the next twist Another great read and would re-read every one of the Sinclair billionaires stories.

Broken Throne has completely stolen my heart and is, without a doubt, one of my absolute favorite books in The Sinclairs series. Every time I think Dahila Vale can't possibly outdo herself, she proves me wrong. This story had me completely consumed from the very first page, taking me on an emotional rollercoaster that I never wanted to end. Thorne Sinclair may wear the mask of the cold, ruthless, untouchable king, but underneath that hard exterior is a man carrying unimaginable guilt and pain. Watching those walls crumble whenever Sloane was involved was everything. The fierce, possessive, intimidating Sinclair who commands fear in everyone else becomes completely undone by one woman, and I couldn't get enough of it. His love for Sloane isn't just powerful—it's all-consuming. He would destroy anyone, sacrifice everything, and burn the entire world to keep her safe, and every single moment of that devotion made my heart ache. Sloane was an absolute breath of fresh air. She may appear sweet and innocent at first, but she's a feisty little brat in the best possible way, constantly challenging Thorne and refusing to back down. Their banter had me laughing one minute and completely swooning the next. The chemistry between them is electric, filled with passion, tension, and undeniable love, but it's the emotional connection they build that truly made this story unforgettable. Watching Sloane grow into the fierce, fearless woman she was always meant to be was incredibly satisfying. She doesn't simply stand beside Thorne—she becomes his equal, his strength, and the one person capable of healing parts of him he believed were forever broken. Beyond the romance, the story itself had me utterly captivated. The Sinclair family's relentless fight against sex trafficking adds so much depth and purpose to the series, while the family dynamics continue to be one of my favorite aspects. The twists caught me completely off guard, the suspense kept my heart racing, and every chapter left me desperate for more. What makes The Sinclairs so unforgettable is the unwavering love that exists beneath all the darkness. These men may be dangerous, ruthless, and feared by everyone around them, but when it comes to the women they love, they are fiercely loyal and devastatingly devoted. They would burn kingdoms to the ground without hesitation, and their women are the very reason they become stronger, softer, and more human. Broken Throne delivered everything I love about dark romance—heart-stopping suspense, breathtaking chemistry, emotional depth, fierce family loyalty, unforgettable characters, and a love story that will stay with me long after the final page. Dahila Vale has an incredible gift for creating characters who feel real, broken, and beautifully human, making every emotion hit that much harder. If you love possessive, morally gray heroes, strong heroines who refuse to be overshadowed, intense family dynamics, and love stories where two people would sacrifice absolutely everything for one another, then Broken Throne is a book you simply cannot miss. This series continues to raise the bar with every installment, and I honestly cannot wait to see where the Sinclair family takes us next.
**I received this as a part of joining the authors ARC team to review upcoming and past books**
“‘She needs someone who isn’t afraid of her. Who won’t treat her like she’s broken. Who will love her hard enough and fight for her loud enough that she never doubts for a single second that she is wanted.’ Her voice cracks, just once, and she recovers. ‘And you have already proven that you would tear the world apart for my girl. I watched you walk into gunfire for her, and I watched you hold her like she was the only thing keeping you breathing.’”
I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about this one, I’m not big on the step sibling trope. However I really enjoyed it, and them only being step siblings as adults for a relatively short timeframe helped a lot. And that I’m obsessed with this family!
“I’m starting to wonder if I’ll ever stop wanting more than he’s willing to give.”
Seeing Thorne shift from the big scary badass from the other books to being a slightly softer caring partner and allowing himself to feel all the feelings was a wild ride. Also him turning into the same possessive, obsessive man that he made fun of his brothers for being!
“‘I love you,’ he whispers. The words come out rough, broken, like they’ve been torn out of him. ‘I should have said it before. I should have said it a thousand fucking times, but I was too scared of what it meant. And then I almost lost you, and all I could think was that you’d never know.’”
This one is another to ensure your checking triggers if you have them. There is on the page rape (not by MMC) that happens and it is heartbreaking to experience through both Thorne and Sloane’s POV. But Sloane surviving, standing up for herself, taking what she needed to start her healing journey, and telling Thorne what she needed from him was badass!
“‘I was there, Thorne. And knowing that I would have you again is what got me through it. I kept my mind on you the entire time because you are the only safe place I have. So don’t you dare hold back from me now.’” … “‘But you’re not the one who needs to heal from the attack, Thorne. I am. And I’m telling you that the way you’re handling me isn’t what I need. It’s making me feel like he won.’”
Wow what a way to end the Sinclair Billionaire series! I literally started this series 2 weeks ago and fell completely in love with these characters! This entire series is in my Roman Empire of series! I adored this final installment. From the taboo step-sibling aspect to the fast paced action to save the women they love.
Two years of secrets. One act of revenge intended to destroy them. And he won't stop until he gets her back.

I've been going back and forth over this review for the past day since finishing Broken Thorne. All because I'm at a loss of words over how beautifully gutting this book was. I knew from the moment Sloane was announced as Thorne's love interest that their story would wreck me.
Of the Sinclair series, this book is the darkest and heaviest in terms of storyline, trauma and triggers. The writing alone is out of this world exceptional. You felt every single emotion bleeding through the pages directly into your soul.
Thorne was equal parts obsessive, possessive and devoted to Sloane and their relationship. I thoroughly enjoyed being able to see the inner turmoil Thorne went through when trying to navigate how to handle the fallout of what happened to Sloane and how his family stood behind him offering support even though his relationship with Sloane was very taboo and against the rules of the society. Sloane was definitely the strongest FMC in this series and it showed time and time again as the storyline unfolded. My heart broke over and over for her & Thorne throughout this book but ended on such a lighter, happier note at the end.
I was shocked to the core over the unexpected and insane plot twist. But Dahlia did the damn thing and delivered a damn good story. I will be thinking of this book for a while. Its rooted into my soul and this family has become my family with how Dahlia wrote them. I'm hoping to see much more of them in future projects and I'm sad this series has come to an end... but maybe a future Sinclair series (like their children) is in our future?!?! I SURE HOPE SO!
And now to end saying... poor Tate. Dahlia you didn't have to do Tate like that again lol
Broken Throne is hands down one of my favorite books in The Sinclairs series so far! Thorne may act like the big, bad, untouchable Sinclair, but when it comes to Sloane, he's completely gone—and I absolutely loved every second of it.
The chemistry between Thorne and Sloane was incredible. Sloane is a little brat in the best possible way, and Thorne eats it up. Their banter had me smiling constantly, but beneath all the tension and humor was a deeply emotional story. The guilt Thorne carries is heartbreaking, and seeing how far he'd go for Sloane proved just how devoted he truly is.
I loved watching Sloane grow throughout the story. At first, she seems innocent, but she's every bit as fierce and badass as the other Sinclair wives. Together, she and Thorne make an amazing team. Their relationship felt genuine, passionate, and completely worth rooting for.
The plot kept me hooked from beginning to end. The rebuilding of the fight against sex trafficking, the Sinclair family dynamics, and the shocking twists had me glued to the pages.
One of my favorite things about this series is how fiercely the Sinclair men love their women. Every single one of them would burn the world down for the women they love, and the wives make them stronger in return. Broken Throne delivered everything I love about dark romance—heart, suspense, family loyalty, emotional depth, and unforgettable characters.
If you're a fan of possessive heroes, strong heroines, family-centered dark romance, and couples who would do absolutely anything for each other, this book is a must-read! Dahila has a way of writing her stories that makes her a special kind of person!
I absolutely devoured Broken Thorne… this one leans hard into the dark, taboo chaos and I was here for all of it.
Thorne is that over-the-top possessive, morally grey billionaire who is completely gone for Sloane, and their whole secret step-sibling situation just adds that extra layer of tension from the start. They’ve been tangled up in this hidden, can’t-stay-away-from-each-other dynamic for years, and the second she’s taken, it flips into full “burn the world down to get her back” mode.
The obsession in this one? Next level. It’s intense, messy, and all-consuming in that way dark romance readers will eat up. Thorne doesn’t hesitate, doesn’t question, just goes full destruction to get to her, and that protective, unhinged energy carries the whole story.
The chemistry between them is constant. You can feel the history, the secrecy, the push and pull of knowing they shouldn’t… but absolutely not caring. It makes everything hit harder, especially once things spiral and the stakes get higher.
I loved how the Raven Society world keeps building in the background too. It ties everything together without taking away from their story, which still feels front and centre.
If you’re into taboo, obsessive billionaire romances with secret society vibes, high stakes, and that “touch her and you’re done” energy, this one delivers. It’s dark, addictive, and exactly the kind of chaos I want from this series.
Broken Thorne by Dahlia Vale was dark, intense, and completely addictive.
This was such a fast paced, well written read and the perfect way to wrap up the series. I was hooked from start to finish and couldn’t put it down. This book also dives into some heavy, emotional topics, and there were moments that were genuinely hard to read. That emotional depth, however, made the story even more powerful and impactful.
Thorne and Sloane were everything. Thorne is possessive, morally gray, and completely unhinged in the best way. His obsession with Sloane runs deep, and his devotion to her is undeniable. Sloane is strong, resilient, unapologetically fierce, and she doesn’t just survive what’s thrown at her, she fights back.
Their chemistry was incredible. The banter added lighter moments, while the tension from their forbidden, secret stepsibling relationship kept everything intense and addictive. And the spice was hot —perfectly fitting their dynamic.
Overall I loved this book and the entire series. I highly recommend it just make sure to check the trigger warnings because this one does not hold back.
Thank you to Dahlia Vale for the gifted ARC! I’m excited to see what you write next.
Just finished the final book in this series and WOW… what a ride
This was such a fast-paced, addictive read, I was hooked from the very first page and honestly couldn’t put it down. The perfect (and chaotic) way to wrap everything up.
Be warned: this one goes deep. There are some heavy, emotional moments that were genuinely hard to read… and that’s exactly what made it hit so much harder. The emotional depth added so much weight and power to the story.
Thorne and Sloane?? everything.
Thorne is possessive, morally gray, and just the right amount of unhinged his obsession and devotion to Sloane are intense in the best way.
And Sloane?? Strong, resilient, and unapologetically fierce. she doesn’t just endure, she fights back.
The chemistry was INSANE. The banter brought some lighter moments, but the tension?? Unmatched. The forbidden, secret stepsibling dynamic made everything feel even more addictive and high-stakes. And the spice?? perfectly fits their energy.
Overall, I absolutely loved this book and the entire series. I definitely recommend!! Be sure to check trigger warnings because this one does not hold back.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Broken Thorne by Dahlia Vale was the perfect chaotic finale to this addictive series. Dark, emotional, and impossible to put down, this book pulled me in from the first page and never let go. The story dives into some seriously heavy moments, making the emotional impact hit even harder while keeping the tension sky-high the entire time.
Thorne and Sloane completely stole the show. Thorne is obsessive, morally gray, and dangerously devoted, while Sloane proves over and over that she’s far more than a survivor—she’s fierce, stubborn, and willing to fight for herself no matter what. Their secret relationship added so much intensity, and the chemistry between them was absolutely explosive.
The banter balanced out some of the darker moments, but the twists, revenge, and emotional turmoil kept this story gripping from start to finish. Dahlia Vale did an incredible job wrapping up the series with a finale that was heartbreaking, addictive, spicy, and unforgettable all at once. Definitely check trigger warnings before diving in because this book pulls no punches.
Okay, it’s official I am completely addicted! I have absolutely adored the entire Sinclair Men books. This fourth book follows the youngest brother, Thorne, and his stepsister, Sloane, and it is hands down my favorite one so far!
The chemistry between these two was incredible. I was especially obsessed with the pet names they had for each other - asshole and brat, haha! Their constant banter was so entertaining and fun to read. Just like the previous book, this one was on the darker side, and once again, I just didn't want it to end.
The story was simply beautiful. My only tiny critique is that I missed having a bit more backstory on how everything actually started between them two years ago - who fell first, what their initial thoughts were, etc. They knew each other so deeply that they could understand each other with just a single look!
As for the spice scenes - absolutely phenomenal, but I didn't expect anything less from this author. What a fantastic, fantastic book! Now the wait begins for the next series coming out this autumn. I can't wait! 🖤
Tg He author writes well and I actually ended up liking both H/H. Im not a huge fan of the BDSM trope- especially with the themes set up in this book with the secret society misogyny. Women being sold as property to other men and being forced etc It has to be balanced - Fox's nook was too much blow jobs, the sharing was ick. Not enough balance.
I liked Tate & Thorne better as H's because they put their wives before the whole kink thing. I love reading obsessed men that have a constant hard on for their girl & refuse to share. That Thorne was waking up Sloane every morning between her thighs balanced out the BDSm for me. Like I said Fox's story was too imbalanced for my liking. Not a big fan on secret societies either since all these men reign power over all females. The females in general have zero choice to be in this society & the MMCS all support it.
This one is heartbreaking, forbidden, and absolutely consumed me. 👀🖤
Broken Thorne by Dahlia Vale is packed with forbidden love, obsessive devotion, dangerous family secrets, and a hero who would burn the world down to save the woman he loves.
Thorne has loved Sloane in secret for years.
Their relationship has always been hidden.
Always forbidden.
But when someone takes her...
Nothing else matters.
The lengths this man goes to for her?
Absolutely unmatched.
The angst hit HARD.
The emotional recovery was beautifully written.
And seeing Thorne fight for Sloane while every family secret unraveled around them had me unable to stop reading.
This was the perfect ending to the Sinclair Billionaires series. 🖤🔥
✨ If you love: • forbidden romance • step-sibling romance • obsessive MMCs • secret societies • protective heroes • touch-her-and-die energy
Broken Thorne is, without a doubt, my favorite book in the series so far.
I picked this book up because I've loved Dahlia Vale's work from the beginning, but this one completely exceeded my expectations. The emotional depth in this story hit me in a way I wasn't expecting.
Thorne absolutely stole my heart. On the surface, he's hard, ruthless, and forceful, but underneath all of that is a man constantly at war with himself. Watching him struggle between the person he believes he has to be and the overwhelming love he has for Sloane made every emotion feel raw. His vulnerability is what made him unforgettable for me.
The romance is everything I want in a dark romance—dark, emotional, forbidden, and full of tension. The chemistry between Thorne and Sloane never felt forced. Every interaction, every internal battle, and every difficult decision made their relationship feel earned.
This was an easy five-star read for me, and I think it's the strongest book in the series yet. If you haven't read these books yet from Dahlia, I highly suggest that you start soon! She has a new book in the works, and I know I am not going to miss what comes next!
Having read all of the Sinclair men's books, I can say that I liced each one exponentially more than the last. Thorne blew them all out of the water. He was the most real of the group. He never claimed to be perfect, but he was all in on what/who he wanted. He dove head firstvinto the shallow end for Sloane and fought for her at risk to his own health and safety. I love a good "who did this to you?" overly possessive MMC, and Thorne did not disappoint. He unapologetically fought forca relationship that his world was against and declared his vow from the rooftops.
Normally I'm not into a step-sibling relationship dynamic, but this worked for me knowing the background from the other books. The way the dynamic was worked into the plot and used as a jumping point for the character growth was brilliant.
Ms. Vale, you outdid yourself. The Sinclairs are forever etched in my heart. I look forward to more of the Ravens in the future.
Broken Throne was full of twist, turns, scary moments, and plenty of 🌶️ between step siblings. Thorne is the youngest of the Sinclair brothers and sometimes the scariest. He literally has touch her and 💀 written on his face when Sloane goes to the bar to play her game. Sloane is spicy and a brat to the extreme with Thorne. She gives him everything he gives her and it infuriates and intrigues Thorne so much. What Sloane went through was so hard and to find out who orchestrated it broke my heart. Especially because it was only to occupy the Sinclair men to grab one of the women. Thorne would burn the 🌎down for Sloane and everything he does proves that and Sloane would do it for Thorne too. Their back and forth was the best part of the book. I really enjoyed the whole Sinclair series and loveee Dahlia Vale as a author!!!
Who doesn't love a deeply possessive, unapologetically protective man? Thorne is truly an incredible lead, and his journey throughout this book was nothing short of amazing. I was completely captivated by his internal struggle as he tried so hard to hold back his feelings, especially given the complex dynamic of being step siblings, but watching him finally reach his breaking point and admit he couldn't deny his love for her was incredibly satisfying. Seeing him do absolutely whatever it takes to protect her was everything I wanted and more the raw emotion and intensity of his devotion really anchored the story for me. I have absolutely loved this entire series, and the narrative choice to let us see the story unfold from each character's perspective made the experience feel so much more personal and special. This was the perfect conclusion, and I’m going to miss living in this world!
Up until this point I could not pick a favourite Sinclair man...well that has changed, hands down Thorne is my absolute favourite! I would crawl on my hands and knees for this man (honestly I would for all of them, but you know 😉)
Sloane is fierce, bratty with a whole lot of sass. Thorne is unhinged, broody and would burn the world down for her!
This was pulling at my heart strings and sending me on that emotional roller-coaster that I love oh so much, with a sprinkle of BAM - Plot Twist!
This read does have some sensitive themes so make sure you read your triggers!
I love the Sinclair Men, I love their women and I LOVE this series ❤️ Dahlia has done a magnificent job on this series, a MUST READ!
She plays games in front of him to make him lose all control until he snaps.
Broken Thorne is a taboo step sibling (they did not grow up together, he was in college and she was getting to start college when their parents Whitney and Dane married) secret society #DarkRomance story by @Dahlia Vale. If you like going in blind do so by all means, otherwise be sure to check TW. Set in the worlds of the Ravens. When Sloane gets kidnapped Thorne will not stop until he has her back home safe.
Sloane is a fighter from the moment she was taken up until her rescue. When she is rescued she isn’t waiting around to get her revenge.
Thorne vows to never make her feel like a dirty little secret he has to hide away from the world and his family.
Broken Thorne was the perfect finale to The Sinclair Billionaires series! Dahlia Vale delivered another addictive dark romance packed with obsession, suspense, emotional moments, and a hero who would destroy anyone who dared to hurt the woman he loves.
Thorne has been obsessed with Sloane for years, and their secret relationship had me hooked from the very beginning. Their chemistry is undeniable, but it's the unwavering devotion Thorne has for Sloane that really stood out.
Once she's taken from him, there is nothing he won't do to bring her home, and I loved seeing just how fiercely protective he became.
Sloane was such a strong heroine. Even after everything she endures, she refuses to let it define her. Watching her fight for herself and slowly heal alongside Thorne made their journey even more emotional.
I also loved seeing the entire Sinclair family come together one last time. The sibling banter, the family loyalty, and the way they always had each other's backs made this series so enjoyable from beginning to end.
This one is a roller coaster ride. It will break your heart and eventually it is going to be stitched back together.
Thorne has a secret his family doesn't know. He is all male when it comes to his stepsister Sloane. The pull, the obsession is there and Sloane makes it even harder to keep the boundaries where they should be.
Sloane can't have enough of her stepbrother. For her, it has always been just him. Pushing his buttons is what she does best because at least she gets a glimpse of what it could be.
The plot makes sense in every way. It has many twists and it keeps you on your toes until the end. I only stopped reading when I couldn't keep my eyes open.
This is written well and gives you a perfect finish to Sinclair men.
Broken Thorne is the final book in the Sinclairs series by Dahlia Vale. This book brings the whole story back full circle to book one and it did not disappoint! I loved following along to Thorne’s and Sloan’s story. I loved that the entire story from book one all the way to this book all flowed together and and had the ending that it did!
This book and series is 100% more smut than plot and there are trigger warnings (that are absolutely amazing and hilarious to read) at the very beginning. The plot that there is, is SO GOOD tho! I cannot wait to read the next series that Dahlia comes up with! It will still fall in the same world but follow a different group of people! It is going to be great!
Dahlia Vale has done it again! Broken Thorne completely consumed me from the very first page. If you are a fan of dark, unhinged, high-stakes romance, this book is an absolute MUST-READ.
The tension, the angst, and the sheer chemistry between the characters are off the charts 📈💥. The secret society intrigue paired with the dark stepbrother and billionaire tropes created the ultimate recipe for pure perfection. It is raw, intense, fast-paced, and wildly addictive. 👑🕯️
If you love dangerous anti-heroes, obsessive devotion, and plot twists that leave you breathless, clear your schedule and pick this up immediately! 💎🥀
one of the quickest reads I’ve ever done! The 1 thing I Can Appreciate about the Sinclair Men is the Absolute Desire they have over their Women! They don’t mess around & they Will Forever at All Costs Protect their Women!
1st off: STEPBROTHER & STEPSISTER 🤤 You heard me Right. This is such a Guilty Pleasure for me & I Loved getting to know Sloane & Thorne 🤭
What first started off as a secret & has Emerged into Deep Feelings that consumes their soul! Along the way, they are Faced with obstacles that will shatter your Heart & have you wondering their next moves!
Dahlia Vale left the best book to last!! What a book - it was fast paced, hot 🔥🔥, emotional and heart felt! This book focuses on the last son - Thorne who is having a secret relationship with his step-sister Sloane. Thorne is a touch her and die type of man who thinks his relationship with Sloane is nothing but physical. However when they are exposed to the rest of the family, that's when the real feelings start showing and everyone is left thinking......will Thorne and Sloane survive? You will just have to read this book to find out what happens......it is an amazing book and I was sad that it finished. Amazing work Dahlia!! I cannot wait for your next books 😀
Thorne is unhinged, obsessed and is going to get Sloane back. Their long term forbidden step sibling relationship explodes when she is taken and Thorne will burn the world down to get what’s his back. This dark romance is the perfect conclusion to this phenomenal series. The Ravens are still working in the background, secrets and lies come to light and Sloane fights back through all the dark torturous things they put her through. The Sinclair Billionaire Series just gets better with every book and Thorne proves why they’re in the power seat and that love as aberrant as it maybe trumps everything.
I waited until finished all 4 before writing a review. I wanted to see who is my favorite Sinclair. Thorne is evil reincarnate, the enforcer who falls in love with his stepsister. Sons all have a kink along with woman they aren’t going to admit they love until slaps them in the face and women is in trouble. It’s short but packs a punch in spice to action. Dad threatens all the sons with arranged marriage if they don’t get their acts together. All playboys, all sound hot as hell. I read this in one night.
Tropes: Touch her die Billionaire Secret society Possessive MMC Captive/captor Public claiming Trauma/healing Stepsister/stepbrother
This was the perfect end to the series in my opinion and it had a twist that I didn’t see coming! It’s not often that I can’t guess what’s going to happen , or predict. Vale was perfect in not letting anything slip with the well timed twist in this. I didn’t feel it was placed in there when it shouldn’t have been either. It was flawless in it. Trigger warnings are a must must with this one. I feel Vale worked us up to it as well. She started off smaller with her traumas and worked her way up to the bigger ones before just throwing us into the deep it! I enjoyed the story and am looking forward to other ones in the same world.
