Ithria #15
Taroniah & Kyron Unite
Taroniah had barely returned from defeating the Dragoth when a delegation arrived asking for her help against a God who was rampaging through southern Ithria. As the only person likely to be able to face down the God and survive, she couldn't very well say no, so she packed up and headed south. Meanwhile, Kyron, the King of Marhingia, was headed home from installing his friend on the throne of Pilia when he too was approached to help those facing down the God in southern Ithria.
Taroniah quickly discovered that facing down the God was not that easy, and even with Kyron's help, things didn't go well. Has she finally met her match, or will she devise some trick or new spell to deal with Wexkarn, the mad God of Magic?

About the author
Peter Rhodan
40 books70 followersI grew up in Sydney Australia but have lived on the Gold Coast, Australia for over thirty years. I have been many things over my life, courier driver, retail sales assistant, casino croupier, small business owner, a bankrupt former small business owner, a graphic designer, poker tournament operator and most recently an Uber driver.
I have a marvellous wife and two great kids (both adults now) plus a border collie cross dog who thinks she's a human.
I have always liked science fiction books, especially gung-ho space opera, time travel and alternate history genres. The first fiction book I read that I liked was Eagle of the Ninth and fist Science Fiction book I read and liked was Foundation by Asimov.
My favourite authors, at the moment, are David Weber, Lois McMaster Bujold, Christopher Nuttall and Pam Uphoff. Weber writes the best space opera while Bujold is simply the best writer and Miles Vorkisgan an amazing character. Chris Nuttall rarely writes anything that is only so-so and his Schooled in Magic books are the best magic school series I have read so far. Pam Uphoff writes primarily a cross dimensional series called the Wine of the Gods with the Directorate stories offshoot. These are delightful, entertaining and often thought provoking books that I love.
Chris Nuttall and Pam Uphoff inspired me to "have a go mate" and so I have.
My first novel is On the Rocks, the first story of Arturo Sandus (Sanders) and his adventures as a Space Ship captain marooned on a primitive swords and sandals era planet. Sort of...

Taroniah and Kyron together!
One of them is a brilliant strategist with magical capabilities, and the other one is a sorceress. They have to go fight a mad god who is enslaving people and forcing them to fight. On top of all of that, while they're gone, the people in the countries surrounding theirs decide that when the cat is away the mice will play, which leads to some very destructive consequences. The author uses the technique of getting in various people's minds during the battles, they're by getting the reader far more of an explanation of what the heck is going on. My biggest problem is that now I have to wait for books by this author about these incredible characters. If you're starting this series start with the first one, they alternate between the two main magical characters. Enjoy!

I enjoy these books, but I haven’t really liked the ‘Mad God’ storyline right from the beginning. However my main problem with this particular book is the author has tried to tell too many stories with far too many named characters, involving too many places, states, nobles, armies and tactics. For me, this meant there was very little ‘flow’ to any of the storylines and given my old age it was a struggle to keep track of who was who and were they where at any particular point in the story.
Finally I didn’t appreciate the ending to Taroniah’s part in the story, although I presume this means there is at least one more book.

A good series continues.
There are lots of enemies with large armies and even a very belligerent god for Taroniah and Kyron to deal with in this episode of the Ithria Saga. They do it with aplomb and magic, quite expeditiously. They leave a strong impression through their dedication and authenticity. Overall, they represent a balance of creativity and professionalism that makes them both memorable and impactful.

15 Delicious Volumes
This series is fun, funny, and beautifully written
I have not stopped reading for 10 days. Taroniah is a dynamic girl who becomes a woman, and the head of her family.
Kyron is a self-made man who likes and respects women, and marries a woman who is his equal.
They solve the problems of the world differently and relate to their environment and communities in unique ways. If you try it I think you'll like it as much as I did.

oh my this one was Good!
I have enjoyed all 15 of these now, and of course, summer are better than others.
I believe this may have been the best one so far.
But if not: it was very, very good.

Another good read by Peter.
Mr. Rhodan's world building is great. His characters are engaging and the story arc keeps you wanting more. I really have enjoyed this fantasy arc, he has a lot to explore if he desires with the history and world he has built. Bravo!

Such a story of marshal power.
I read these stories fast sometimes skipping sleeping. The thrilling actions are overwhelming. I'm going to be pining until the next installment is presented .

A very good series, but
I have read all the books in this series. Which I thought is a good one. This book though, is full of fluff an inconsistencies.

not satisfying
This book was more about Kyron than Taroniah. Which I didn’t read his books. I wanted to read more about her so I was disappointed.
