After rescuing an injured beagle, therapy dog trainer Jo Webster reluctantly turns to the new veterinarian in town, who’s also her former fiancé. But when Nate Morris suggests a prosthetic leg for the wounded dog, there’s no way Jo can afford it. Reluctantly, she agrees to a part-time job at his clinic during the Christmas season to pay for the treatment. Soon, Jo learns Nate is not the same man she broke off her engagement to years ago. If they can learn to forgive each other for past hurts, they might build something new and beautiful together for the holidays—and forever.

Pour yourself a cup of holiday cheer—A K-9 Christmas Blessing by Tina Radcliffe is a heartwarming tale filled with second chances, sweet surprises, and plenty of Christmas spirit. Radcliffe’s warm writing style drew me in right away, while the engaging plot kept me eager to discover how everything would unfold. Jo Webster and Nate Morris are kind, compassionate main characters, and I especially enjoyed watching them grow throughout the story. Jo’s journey toward realizing that asking for help is not a bad thing was particularly meaningful. The sweet second-chance romance added plenty of charm, as did Jo’s darling therapy dogs—especially the adorable beagle who needs a prosthetic leg. Gentle humor is sprinkled throughout, balancing the more heartfelt moments beautifully. I also loved the holiday preparations and festive events, and the seasonal treats at Patti Jo’s Café and Bakery had my mouth watering. With uplifting themes of forgiveness and hope, this delightful story is a cozy Christmas gift for the heart—complete with romance, resilience, and a lovable canine companion.
You can NEVER go wrong with a Tina Radcliffe book, and A K-9 Christmas Blessing is no different. Christmas in Colorado? Check. Festive activities? Check. Second chance romance? Check. Rescuing animals? Check. Service dogs? Check. And so much more. Jo and Nate's story of finding their way back to love again is SO good! These people are KIND. Despite their past broken relationship, love and respect remained, even after so much time. That, along with the faith thread, provided a wonderful foundation to repair and reclaim a relationship. Plus it has my favorite, an epilogue! My thanks for the complimentary copy of this book. My opinion is entirely my own.
What a perfectly adorable story to fill you with the Christmas spirit! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Author Tina Radcliffe does it again with her newest small town romance filled with Christmas cheer and wintry goodness. With an assortment of lovable pets and plenty of amusing characters, I was completely immersed in this Aspen Creek, Colorado, story of second chances and forgiveness.
Jo Webster, a therapy dog owner and exercise instructor at the Rio Grande Senior Living Community, has dreams to open a quite needed local animal rescue center. She tries to balance two jobs, her well-meaning mother, and her growing fur family, which includes a beagle in need of a prosthetic leg, plus prepare for her favorite season, Christmas. When the new veterinarian in town, Nate Morris, turns out to be her former fiancé, life gets even more complicated.
Ruggedly handsome Nate is a great hero. Compassionate, caring, understanding….and he too loves animals. With the determination to make their relationship professional and maybe return to the friendship zone, both work hard to stay emotionally detached from each other. However, with a community of folks encouraging something more and a reliance on direction from their faith, will the couple resolve their past issues and strive for the goals they both want?
I loved the sweet revealing of true love based on forgiveness and respect. All the characters were fun, with witty banter sparkling on the pages. And the details of Christmas preparations were delightful. The Christmas Extravaganza parade and tree lighting, the annual Winter Fest with a craft bazaar, snowy sleigh rides, festive holiday decorations, and a treasured snow globe….plus seasonal treats from Patti Jo’s Cafe and Bakery. (Cinnamon rolls and pumpkin pie!)
If you love feel-good, uplifting romances with holiday charm, you’ll find this story, with its perfect ending, is just what you need to brighten your Christmas season. I highly recommend A K-9 Christmas Blessing by Tina Radcliffe!

A K-9 CHRISTMAS BLESSING by Tina Radcliff is the heart-melting, glorious accounting of the unexpected reunion of Josephine “Jo” Webster and Nathan “Nate” Morris. After a broken engagement fifteen years ago, can they get it right this time!
Jo and her mother moved often. Jo finally found her happy place in Aspen Creek, Colorado. Her dream is to open an animal rescue. The building is built, but with unexpected expenses, things are on hold for now. In the meantime, Jo and her pug therapy dog work at the Rio Grande Senior Living Community. She’s been thinking about taking on side job to help out. She’s just not sure how it would work. The upcoming Christmas activities demand a lot of her time. She didn’t expect for Dr. Hasting’s sudden departure nor to find Nate, her ex-fiancée, to be the new veterinary doctor. Her most recent rescue, a 3-year-old beagle, and his need for a prosthetic after a hind leg amputation from an injury, might be the final decision maker on a second job. Can she work alongside Nate?
Nate felt bad about how things ended with Jo. While not knowing all the facts, he’s sure his insensitive, domineering mother was a big part of it. He’s never loved another woman like he did Jo. He’d finally cut away from his mother’s control and changed his life’s direction in college going into a field he loves instead of what his mother was dictating. He’s happily found a clinic to buy, moved to a small town, bought a house and loves it all. As thrilled as he is to literally bump into Jo, he can’t help but wonder if its fate giving them a second chance or part of a matchmaking scheme.
Does Jo find out why her mother’s staying with her this winter? Will Jo’s dream for the rescue come true? Does Jo think she must do it all on her own or will she accept help? Will it be Nate that comes up with a plan to help Jake and the means to finance it? Was there a bit of matchmaking behind the scene that brought Nate to his new hometown? Will working together bring back old feelings?
A K-9 CHRISTMAS BLESSING is a superb, can’t put down story that will tug at your heart – for Jo and Nate and the dogs. Tina Radcliff brings us a story of therapy dogs, Christmas, daring to dream, determination, second chances, a love of critters, forgiveness, learning that accepting help can be a blessing in disguise and sweet romance. A K-9 CHRISTMAS BLESSING is positively a FIVE STAR book that I can highly recommend to everyone!
While A K-9 CHRISTMAS BLESSING is the 50th book in the K-9 Companions series, it can more definitely be read as a standalone book.
I received an ARC of this book with no requirement or expectations of a review. All opinions are completely my own. #AK9ChristmasBlessing #K9Companions #TinaRadcliffe
I always love reading a Tina Radcliffe story! The small towns she creates make me want to move there. I love the sense of community, how everyone helps one another, and how they’re always there for each other.
I really enjoyed returning to Aspen Creek and catching up with the characters. Nate and Jo’s story is a second-chance romance, one of my favorite tropes, and I loved watching them rekindle their relationship. Their romance was so sweet, and I especially enjoyed seeing Jo’s personal growth throughout the story. She was hanging on to things both emotionally and physically that she had to work through and I loved how she did that.
I’m really hoping Maggie gets her own story in a future installment because I absolutely loved her character! If you are a big animal lover, you will love that animals play such a big part in this story. Jo is opening an animal rescue, and Nate is a veterinarian, making this a great read for animal lovers.
This book is also full of Christmas feels, with sleigh rides, Christmas parties, and tree lighting and decorating. If you’re ready to kick off your Christmas reading, this may be just the book for you!
I always enjoy visiting the charming towns Tina Radcliffe creates, and I’m already looking forward to the next installment in the series!
Just in time for the holiday season A K-9 Christmas Blessing by Tina Radcliffe brings us a holiday movie worthy Christmas story. This stand-alone novel is the second book in the Aspen Creek series. Everything is going according to plan until her ex-fiancé Nate Morris shows up in town. As a therapy dog trainer and animal rescuer Jo has no way to avoid interacting with Nate who’s now the town’s new and only veterinarian. In addition to dealing with their past history, Jo and Nate also have to juggle meddling family members and neighbors while taking care of a whole host of animals. There’s Jo’s therapy pug Romeo, a pair of foster puppies, a pregnant rescue cat, a three-legged rescue beagle named Jake, plus an assortment of other animals Jo is caring for in hopes of one day opening her dream animal rescue facility. Can Jo and Nate succeed against all odds and find a way to move forward hand in hand, paw in paw, to find love and rescue? Grab your copy today and find out!
A K-9 Christmas Blessing is part of the large K-9 Companions series, but all the stories are stand-alone. It is a heartwarming, inspirational story of forgiveness and a second chance at love! Jo Webster is a therapy dog trainer, and Activities Director at a senior living community in Aspen Creek, Colorado. She is an animal lover, fosters rescues, loves Christmas, is a member of an interfaith women’s group, and has a dream of opening an animal rescue of her own. She also thinks she must do everything on her own. Nate Morris is a former bronco rider and the new Veterinarian in town. He has a twin sister, Maggie, and is also Jo’s former fiancé. Jo broke his heart 15 years ago because of his mother. He didn’t fight for Jo, but no other relationship has compared since. With Jo having numerous animals, and Nate being the veterinarian, their paths cross frequently. Jo even takes a temporary position at the vet clinic to help pay for a prosthetic leg for one of her rescues. The feelings are there, but can they put the past behind them? Can Nate make up for his failings in the past? Will Jo finally realize that she can ask others for help? I recommend you read this uplifting story, and I look forward to reading others in the K-9 Companions series. I voluntarily received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. I was not required to write a positive review, and all opinions expressed are my own.
“When we lose someone, we put a whole lot of effort into controlling everything in our lives. That’s because if we control everything, we think nothing bad can happen again.”
I can always count on a Tina Radcliffe story for a charming, heartwarming read. A K-9 Christmas Blessing fits that description perfectly. I loved this story of therapy dog trainer Jo Webster whose ambition is to start a rescue center for animals. When she rescues an injured beagle, she finds the new vet in town is her former fiancé, Nate Morris. Jo agrees to help at the vet clinic to help pay for a prosthetic leg for the dog. I enjoyed seeing Jo and Nate reconnect and start to heal old hurts.
“Just keep me out of any conversations you have with Jo. I can mess up my life on my own.”
The main characters are realistically flawed and engaging, and I even got a kick out of meeting some of their somewhat dysfunctional family members. The small-town setting of Aspen Creek, Colorado during the Christmas season is a perfect background for the story. Themes of forgiveness, hope, and trust permeate the tale and add depth and inspiration. I thoroughly enjoyed this delightful, entertaining book and look forward to more from this talented author.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy. All opinions are my own
A K-9 Christmas Blessing is a wonderful story of a second chance with a past love. Jo Webster, is a therapy dog trainer that has rescued an injured beagle, whose leg is in serious condition. Nate Morris the local veterinarian and her former fiancé, suggests that a prosthetic leg for the dog would be beneficial to the beagle, Jo is stunned there’s no way she can afford it. So Nate offers her a part-time job at his clinic to pay for the treatment. Soon, Jo learns Nate is not the same man she broke off her engagement to years ago. And just maybe they can learn to forgive each other for past hurts, and find their way back to each other.
A wonderful story of a second chance for a broken relationship.... and dogs, cats and kittens, and meddling relatives. Centered around rescued animals, Christmas, family and friends makes it an enjoyable way to begin the Christmas season. I loved the feeling of well meaning friendships, repair past relationships, and the holiday excursions. And happy endings. I was provided with a copy of the book; this review is given honestly and voluntarily.
Wow! I am continually amazed at how much I care about the characters in a Tina Radcliffe book. This book was no exception. I stayed up late to finish reading this one. It includes Christmas and animals- what more would you want? Oh yeah, maybe a little romance. If you are looking for a sweet Christmas read I highly recommend this one. I received an Advanced Reader Copy and was not required to leave a review. This opinion is my own.
OMS! Here I am again staying up late & reading one of the best Christmas stories. I really feel A K-9 Christmas Blessing should be filmed into a cute Christmas movie. It has all the Christmasy feels. It has dogs & cats galore. A cute pug named Romeo. I’m a pug gal! All the hot chocolate & Christmas decorations you could want. An Aspen Creek winterfest & snowy mountains. I think I’m ready for Christmas now. I’ll admit I cried such happy tears during the epilogue. I loved meeting Delilah & Maggie. Jo & Nate’s 2nd chance romance will have you rocking around the Christmas tree. I know I’m ready for the holidays after reading this sweet story. I loved it! I can’t wait to visit Aspen Creek again.
A K-9 Christmas Blessing: An Uplifting Inspirational Romance (K-9 Companions, 50) by Tina Radcliffe is truly a delightful book. Jo Webster loves animals and always has a rescue animal recovering at her home. But animals cost money and she decides to work for the new veterinarian in town to earn towards a prosthetic leg for her dog. The only problem is that the new veterinarian is also her former fiancé, Nate Morris. Can they have a future together?
I loved this sweet romance with animals, engaging characters, and a small-town Christmas festival. The characters were well developed and I was so invested in their lives. The author writes in a wonderful way that I am able to picture myself moving through the town with all my new friend. The romance and chemistry between Nate and Jo was very sweet and believable. I enjoyed attending Christmas festivals and being a part of the town of Aspen, CO.
This fantastic book had characters I could invest in, a wonderful small town, and I enjoyed getting meeting many sweet animal friends. A perfect holiday read and I highly recommend A K-9 Christmas Blessing by Tina Radcliffe.
I was gifted a book and not required to write a positive review.
Nate finally has his dream job as a small-town vet. He is ready to make Aspen Creek his home. Then he runs into his ex-fiance Jo. Jo has been in Aspen Creek for 5 years as an event coordinator for the senior center. But her dream is to open an animal rescue on her property. She is so close until everything around the house decides to break at once. To pay for her rescue dog's care, she agrees to work part-time at the vet office even if it means she will be seeing Nate a lot more. Nate is a sweet character, but he is also someone who has to learn to see the world in a different way. And Jo is every one of us who has wanted/needed to do everything ourselves instead of letting others help. Together they had to figure out how to work in a way that made them both happy. And the side characters were great. Maggie and Delilah were delightful meddlers. The residents at the senior center were a riot. And then there were the real stars of the show, the array of pets. Overall, this was a sweet second chance love story with characters who grew and learned.
#CoverLoverBookReview received a review copy of this book. My honest opinions and thoughts—not influenced by anyone.
I am a total sucker for second-chance romances, especially when they’re wrapped up in a festive Christmas setting! This sweet story is packed with holiday spirit and left me feeling uplifted.
I instantly connected with Jo. I moved around a lot as a kid before finding a true home. Her journey to open an animal rescue—and her choice to foster Jake, a three-legged beagle—deeply touched my heart. (I once had a dog who lost a leg in an accident and he was so resilient!)
The story gets even better when Jo finds out her ex-fiancé, Nate, is the town’s new veterinarian. They are both so easy to root for! I was cheering for Joe to finally accept help and for Nate to see life through a new lens.
Filled with themes of forgiveness, grit, and hope, this book is pure holiday magic.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The perfect, heartwarming holiday read! Tina Radcliffe has written a beautiful addition to the K-9 Companions series with A K-9 Christmas Blessing. I absolutely loved the dynamic between the main characters, Jo and Nate, as they navigate their past and find a second chance at love. The winter wonderland setting and the focus on animal therapy gave it the perfect cozy, festive atmosphere. It's a sweet, fast-paced, and inspirational romance that is impossible to put down. Highly recommended if you love small-town Christmas stories and heartwarming dog heroes!
I love the K-9 series. I love pugs, I enjoyed having a pug in the story. Nate and Jo story was really good. I loved how Jo cared for the dogs and cats. Jo wants to start a rescue but will she be able to. Nate is the vet that is new to town. Nate and Jo has a past. Will they get back together? A really great book for Christmas to read any time of the year.
I received an advanced copy of the book from the author. This book review is my own opinion.
Jo Webster had moved to Aspen Creek a little over a year ago. Much to her mother’s dismay Jo didn’t really date much, she had to many other things going on in her life. She decided a long time ago when she broke off her engagement to Nate Morris that she wasn’t really suited for the ever after kind of love anyway. She had her job at the senior community center, her pet rescues and fostering, and most importantly her plans for the animal rescue facility that was her dream. So what if she just found out the new town vet was her former fiancée, she hadn’t seen Nate in fifteen years and now here he was, living in her new home town, the new vet and soon her new boss. To top off everything it was almost Christmas, her very favorite holiday of the year. Nate couldn’t believe it, the woman he just saved from falling done at the entrance to his newly purchased pet clinic was the woman that had broken his heart all those years ago. Surely, he had gotten over his feelings for Jo a long time ago, right? "I received this book free from the author, and this is my honest review."
I love everything about this book! The sweet dogs and cats, Nate and Jo's second chance, their family and friends in the small town of Aspen Creek, and it's Christmas time!! A sweet, clean inspirational book by a wonderful author. 5 stars!
A K9 Christmas Blessing is a faith-filled story with plenty of Christmas charm!
Tina Radcliffe has written a sweet book with filled with furry fun, Christmas cheer, and a wonderfully sweet romance! I enjoyed it so much. Jo and Nate were such an incredible couple. Even after fifteen years, the chemistry between them was undeniable! Besides taking a part-time job at the clinic, Jo constantly rescues dogs, cats, and more, giving them the love and care they deserve. Animal lovers are always such a joy to read about. I also loved the antics of Jo’s mom and Nate’s sister as they tried to bring Jo and Nate together again. I’m really hoping his sister, Maggie, will get a story next. I highly recommend this fun holiday read!
I received this book from the author. I am under no obligation to write a review of any kind. All thoughts are my own.
Overall, a very holly jolly warm hearted story that gave Nate and Jo a second chance to live and love. The small town vibes were peak, the animals all adorable. Really ebjoyed the veterinary clinic angle. If you are looking for a cozy cute feel good story, look no further. Thank you, Tina for my eARC, this is my honest review.
Okay, I loved this! Anytime I see Tina has a book around the corner, I’m counting down the days until I can get my hands on it. This book did not disappoint... a cozy community full of loving neighbors, meddling family, the cutest animals, and the sweetest second chance romance!
When Jo meets the new vet in town, she doesn’t expect it to be Nate, her ex-fiancé. But he’s here to stay, and he’s just who she needs to help with all her rescue pets. When her newest project /her rescue pets require more funds she takes Nate up on a part-time job at his clinic. But, as expected, the sparks start flying again. Given their past, though, they both wonder if it’s worth the risk to admit the truth -> that their feelings for each other have never really stopped.
I loved this! I think the highlight of the story was both Nate and Jo. I loved their personalities and how they manage to remain patient and respectful toward each other despite their past. I was rooting for them all along, and truth be told…I’m rooting for a romance for Maggie now too! Bring on the Aspen Creek Cowboys! I think one of them may be catching her eye, lol.
I gave this a 4.5 rounded to a 5!
I received a complimentary copy. This review reflects my honest opinion.
This charming story is centered around Jo Webster, a therapy dog trainer who also fosters animals and works with the elderly at a senior living community, and veterinarian Nate Morris. They were previously engaged 15 years ago and their life paths crossed again. This book has romance, friendship, laughter, warm fuzzy moments especially with regards to the animals and forgiveness. It made me want to pack my luggage and visit the town and all the animals. The animals played a significant role in this book, which made me love it even more. All the characters were delightful in their own way and I enjoyed reading about all of them and really enjoyed the storylines. So, if you love romance, animals and Christmas, this book is for you. I will definitely be recommending this book to all my book-reading family and friends.
I received an advanced reader's copy of this book, but it did not sway my opinion in any way.
This is a sweet second chance romance. 15 years after their breakup, Nate and Jo find themselves living in the same small town. And since he's the town vet and she rescues animals they have to work together. The book contains a couple cute dogs, meddling matchmakers, faith and prayer, and a HEA ending. I loved it from the beginning all the way to the end of the epilogue.
I received this book free from the author, and this is my honest review
Isn't Christmas the perfect time for second chances?! That's just what happens in this heart-warming book. Jo and Nate were engaged when they were very young but Jo broke off the engagement (you'll have to read to find out why). Years later, Jo has made her home in Aspen Creek and has high hopes of owning an animal rescue. When she has to take a three-legged rescue to the vet, she discovers that Nate is now the new vet! After a rocky meeting, they begin getting to know each other again and even working together. But both of them are still carrying hurt. Can they learn to forgive? If you like second chances, small town settings/characters and of course animals, you will want to read this book. I received an advance copy from the author but all opinions are my own.
Jo Webster is living in Aspen Creek, working as a social director at Rio Grande Senior Living Community and dreaming of starting an animal rescue. She is also working with Companion dogs.
Nate Morris is a veterinarian and has just purchased a veterinarian practice in Aspen Creek. He is escaping the big city life, unaware Jo lives in Aspen Creek.
Jo and Nate were once engaged 15 years ago, but the engagement was broken off.
They work together to heal an injured dog. And also work through their feelings for each other.
I was given a copy of this book by the publisher. All thoughts and comments are my own.
I loved this story. It was a heartwarming tale of two people, Jo and Nate, who find themselves living in the same small town after not seeing each other for 15 years. They were engaged, when Jo decides to call off the wedding and move away. Nate never knew the real reason why their engagement was called off. Nate opens a vet office in Aspen Creek and Jo decides to take a part-time job there to help with her finances. She has plans to open an animal rescue center. When Nate finds out about her plans he wants to help out but Jo is stubborn and refuses his help. Over time, Nate and the whole community come together to help support Jo and her mission to open the rescue. The story ends with a HEA and I couldn't have been happier. Lots of Christmas activities included in the story. There was a sleigh ride, a Bazaar and a dance. Reading about all the food made me want to start my holiday baking. Great job, Tina Radcliffe.
An enchanting holiday story about a couple that ended their engagement 15 years ago but not because they didn't love each other, but because Josephine "Jo" had her reasons. Now, here they find themselves in the same town 15 years later, quite by coincidence - or is it? I love second chance romances! Jo and Nate were adorable together and when their hurt hearts have finally healed, perhaps they can make a go of it again. I really enjoyed their love of animals. Nate is the town's new veterinarian and Jo has fostered or adopted so many animals. I especially loved her newest fur baby who needed a prosthetic leg. Who knew such things were available? I also enjoyed Nate's sister, Maggie. Both Maggie and Jo's mother, Delilah, brought lovely "extras" to the story, along with many townspeople! This author knows how to bring a heartwarming tale for the holidays! I loved every word!
Tina Radcliffe has done it again. “A K-9 Christmas Blessing” is another delightful story that you want read in one sitting. Jo Webster and Nate Morris had been in love 15 years ago when Jo broke their engagement and disappeared. This story includes a beagle, Jake, that gets a prosthetic leg and a therapy pug, Romeo, who loves the residents at a Senior Living Community. Jo and Nate reconnect when he becomes the vet in Aspen Creek, CO and Jo has just rescued Jake. Due to lack of finances Jo ends up with a 2nd job working part-time for Nate. This is a feel good story that involves family and friends at Christmas, the best time of the year. It will put a smile on your face. I received this book free from the author, and this is my honest review.
A K-9 Christmas Blessing by Tina Radcliffe releases Oct 27,2026. I loved this heartwarming story of second chances and sweet animal rescues. A perfect read for your Christmas season that will have your heart so full of Faith and the giving season. Wonderfully written. I am going to have to go back and read the others in this series. I received a complementary copy of this book and this is my honest review.
