'Glitch Between Us by John Pradeep is a beautiful, heartbreaking, genre-deviating novel that begins as a contemporary romance and turns into a mind-bending sci-fi psychological thriller in seconds.
The story is about Ravi Anthony, who is on his way from Chennai to Bangalore holding an emotional regret. He goes on meeting his best friend's sister, Lathika, and feels an uneasy attraction, despite being deeply attached to his hometown girlfriend Sujitha. In no time at all his reality starts to crack. Things go weird, memories become distorted, places change, and time flits back and forth between the two women in an unpredictable manner. The story hits a stunning midpoint twist: Ravi is actually trapped in a coma following a devastating accident, and an advanced simulation is the only thread keeping him alive as his subconscious grapples with immense tragedy.
Ravi is a raw, beautifully layered protagonist, a silent sufferer, a man who refuses to give up on love. Sujitha (known affectionately as " Jalebi " adds a natural comforting warmth to the pages, and their relationship is very real. Lathika is an excellent provocation for temptation and psychological tension. Meanwhile, Ravi's best friend, Karthik, reveals himself to be a fiercely loyal soul whose unwavering devotion anchors the most emotional parts of the book.
The novel plays with the traditional love triangle, addressing themes of temptation, survivor's guilt, and the structure of memory. Its unique sci-fi premise challenges the reader to consider what remains when reality breaks down, ultimately demonstrating that true love sometimes means choosing to live with the heavy weight of real grief rather than escaping into a flawless, edited illusion.
John Pradeep blends romance with psychological mystery using Chennai backdrops and Tamil songs. Don't let the cutesy setup fool you; subtle inconsistencies early on reward patient readers as the drama shifts into a dark reality of trauma and grief. An immersive, fast-paced indie thriller that leaves you staring at the ceiling at 3 AM.

This book is heartbreakingly beautiful in a way that quietly shatters you. 💔✨

It’s been so long since I read something this intense, thought-provoking, and emotionally consuming. I finished it in one sitting, completely immersed in Ravi’s world and honestly, I’m still not over it.

The story revolves around Ravi and… a glitch. Yes, an actual glitch.
Ravi is on his way to Bangalore, carrying the weight of an unanswered message, a regret that lingers in his heart. Along the way, he meets Lathika someone who unexpectedly draws him in. But how do you move forward when someone from your past, Sujitha, still owns a part of your soul? ❤️

And then… everything fractures.
One glitch. Just one and the entire narrative shifts. Reality bends, emotions intensify, and nothing remains the same. The moment I crossed the halfway mark, I was completely stunned. The plot twist didn’t just surprise me it unsettled me. For a few minutes, I was just staring at the ceiling, trying to comprehend what I had just experienced. 😭

The characterisation is so beautifully layered. Ravi’s innocence, his silent suffering, his unwavering love it all feels so raw and authentic. You don’t just read his story, you absorb it.

This book is a seamless blend of love, grief, sci-fi, psychological tension, friendship, guilt, and hope. Every emotion is intricately woven, making the story deeply impactful.

Some lines from this book will stay with me forever:
“I can live with her memories, I can live with the grief.
With the ache.
With the nights when I reach out and remember she’s not there.” 💔

And something this story made me believe in:
Some love doesn’t need confession… they only need time. ❤️
This isn’t just a story, it’s an experience.
And if you’re looking for a book that will stay with you long after the last page this is it. ❤️

A story which is more than just a love story, wouldn't it intrigue you? The author was right when he said that this story will do both- mend you gently & ache before you heal.✨

📌4.7 stars for the storyline & plot-twist. Damnnnn, I read such a thought-provoking read after so long. I finished it in one-sitting & I was amazed at how masterfully the author has crafted & poured out the story with emotions on paper. Hats off to you!👏🏻

📌Well, the story revolves around our MMC- Ravi & a Glitch. Yes, you read it right. A GLITCH. Ravi was on his way to give an interview in Bangalore with a regret in his heart. The regret of not typing back. Then he meets his friend & his sister who catches his eye- Lathika. He feels kind of attracted towards her but wait!? Wasn't someone already waiting for him in his hometown? The answer is yes, His love- Sujitha was waiting for him.❤️

📌What happened next baffled me even more...the glitch....one single glitch & the whole story changed. Everything changed. The world shattered. The moment I reached halfway, things took a new turn- one that I never saw coming, one that shook me to the core. Obviously, to know the answers, you'll have to read it yourself 🫶🏻

📌The first chapter hooked me. The suspense, tension, chemistry between the characters & The second half of the book was also intriguing which is kind of rare these days. Overall, I liked it! Recommended from my side for sure.❤️

📌If you're looking for a page-turner that'll keep you guessing until the end, it is a must-read.❤️

This was First Time I actually got up and completed an Indie author's book.

According to me, it was the best and a bit devastating book I read so far.

The concept or idea for this book was mind blowing and futuristic. This book and the story helped me to have a different pov to LOVE.
Yes it's not just a general love story or something but it's beyond that, something that has deeply engraved the story in my mind and heart.

At first it was just like a normal story but soon some small unnoticed glitches came which were small to notice. And with progress in the story the glitches were big enough to notice. Reaching to end we came to know about his story lovely but traumatizing in the last 😭😭 where his lover dies with his family in an accident only him surviving. And wakin in hospital concerned for all. In the end he came to know about him being in coma for 36 years ☹️😕and noone was saved from accident except him and the a doctor has been trying to wake him from start to end. He told about the development in health industry that is an Ai technology which helped them to help Ravi to live a life in the mind and all. But in the end he chose to live with the grief and memories of her and living his life with that. And at the end he just remembered her unreplaced, unfinished, real.

Thank you John for writing and gifting us with this Movable story, which stood as a different pov for Love and remembering and living with memories.

As SOME MEMORIES REFUSE TO LET YOU GO....

Than you John !!

I picked this book up without reading its blurb and thought it to be a cutesy romance like the cover but it turned out to be a dark thriller with emotional romance on side.

Ravi Anthony, an average man juggling with life-giving interviews, living with family, having friends and a loving girlfriend. But one day when he was returning back home from Chennai via bus but woke up in a train station and hence his life turned upside down with many glitches. One day when the sister of his best friend came into picture, it ignited a known spark between them. The chemistry evolves with him lying to his girlfriend and getting highly inclined towards her.

He was vulnerably sick now, facing issues of memory illness, hallucinations and sleep sickness. His love for Sujhita made it through everything and decided to keep temporary emotions on side.It was his birthday when both the girls were ready to surprise him when his gf came at his door and he celebrated with her only to find her again at the door in morning. Was he dreaming again or hallucinating or did he just cheated on Shuji!!!!!

Ahh I can’t explain how much I want to go ahead and spill the whole story but no spoiler rule so just go read and find out yourself. The plot is promising and it serves the emotional quotient very well.

Also there are two reaction you could have after reading this book either you’re gonna be blown up with the plot twist or you’re gonna love the relationship dynamics of Ravi.

“I thought I was reading a simple love story… but it turned into something much deeper.”
Glitch Between Us starts off with a calm and familiar setup—friendship, love, and everyday life. It feels simple and easy to follow at first, which makes the shift in tone even more impactful.

As the story progresses, subtle inconsistencies begin to appear. Moments feel slightly off, memories don’t always align, and there’s an underlying sense that something isn’t quite right. The concept of “glitches” is handled in a way that keeps you engaged and constantly questioning what’s real.
What I really appreciated was how immersive the writing felt. I found myself completely drawn into the narrative, and I ended up finishing the book in a single sitting—it’s that gripping.

“Some memories refuse to let you go.”
That line perfectly captures the essence of the story. It’s not just about what’s happening on the surface, but also about the emotional weight carried throughout.

Overall, this is a well-executed psychological thriller that balances intrigue with emotion. It’s subtle, thought-provoking, and stays with you even after you’ve finished reading.
Definitely recommended for readers who enjoy mind-bending and immersive stories.

Amazing book. Beautifully written. The story is fresh. It will capture all your senses till the end.

A man who thinks his reality is not his. I dont want to give any spoilers as I want readers to enjoy this beautiful book. You will fall in love the way it’s written.

What if someone else could control and edit your memories?

This is the story of Ravi, Suji, and Lathika.

Ravi and Suji fell in love the moment they met.

Life was filled with love and family.

Then one day, Ravi meets Lathika.

A childhood friend.
She is also his best friend Karthik’s sister.

Ravi starts feeling something for Lathika.

But he knows it can’t be real.
Because he loves Suji, and cheating on Suji is out of his thoughts.

Then his memory starts acting strange.

He falls asleep in his own house.
But wakes up at Karthik’s house.

He can’t remember making a call to Suji.
But the call log shows a different story.

He can’t even remember what they talked about.

One moment he is with Suji.
The next moment it’s not Suji.

It is Lathika.

It feels like déjà vu.
But stronger.

Like someone edited his life.

Ravi doesn’t know what is happening.
Or why his memories keep slipping.

Glitch Between Us by John Pradeep
Has the mind-bending ending.

Ravi’s mind is trapped inside a story
written by someone else.

And that story
is the only thing keeping him alive.

Once you start reading,
you won’t feel like putting it down.

It’s a 5 out of 5.

At first, I really thought this was going to be just another simple love story… but wow, I was so wrong 😭✨
This book starts off with a very normal, slightly emotional romance vibe, and then slowly… things start feeling off. Like small glitches, little confusions, moments that don’t fully make sense — and that’s where it gets addictive. The story follows Ravi, who is stuck between emotions, memories, and choices, and trust me, nothing is as simple as it looks. What feels like a love triangle at first turns into something way deeper and honestly a little mind-blowing.
What I loved is how this book plays with your mind and your heart at the same time. One moment you’re feeling soft, romantic emotions, and the next moment you’re like “wait… WHAT just happened??” 😭 The twists are so unexpected, especially towards the end — it literally flips the whole story.
It’s emotional, confusing (in a good way), and very different from typical romance. If you love stories that mess with your head but still make you feel deeply, this one is definitely worth it 💫

This isn't the kind of book you read
..it's the kind that gently pulls you into its world, only to leave you questioning every step of the journey long after you've turned the final page...What started as a story about love, friendship, and everyday life slowly turned into something far more intriguing....Ravi felt like a very real character, and I found myself deeply invested in his journey from the very beginning...his bond with Karthik was one of my favorite parts of the book, while the romance added warmth, tension, and plenty of emotional moments...the story constantly kept me wondering what was happening, and every time I thought I had figured things out, it surprised me again...I laughed, smiled, felt anxious for the characters, and eventually found myself completely heartbroken at 3am...this book took me on an emotional rollercoaster and left a lasting impact on me...and the plot twist??unforgettable...this was an easy 5-star read for me...

Did I finish this book… or did this book finish me?

The real genius here isn’t just the plot...it’s the way it’s written. I went in thinking it was a simple love story… until things slowly started getting strange. And then suddenly, everything spirals. You’re left sitting there like, wait… what is actually happening?

The twists are genuinely mind-bending..you don’t just read them, you feel them.
It’s such a unique blend of sci-fi and a deeply emotional love story. Some scenes honestly gave me chills, but instead of pulling me away, they pulled me in deeper. I just had to know what was going on.
And the ending? I was not prepared. But trust me it answers everything. Every confusion, every question… it all comes together beautifully.

Overall, this was such a unique reading experience for me. And that ending? It left me emotional long after I closed the book.
Highly recommend!

This book has my whole heart. From the start till the end I loved reading this one. The description of Chennai OMR made me feel of reading a book of home. Then Ravi the struggles he faced and the glitches, I thought he was struggling more due to stress.

And Sujitha, the girl she was I loved her every scene the way he calls her Suji, Jalabi 🥰. Their little fights and caring was so natural.

Lathika, her parts made the story heat up. And Karthick, the man he is, he scored the full thing at the last and that particular scene made me cry without realizing.

Guys, this is a must read one and I'm sure you won't regret it. I loved the tamil songs in between the story. And made me sing them as well.

Its an overall perfect reader with speed up story with thrill and emotion. I am hoping to see this one in big screen ❤️

If you're picking up The Glitch Between Us expecting a classic love triangle between Ravi, his girlfriend Sujitha, and his best friend's sister Lathika... think again.

This isn't the love story you think you're reading.

What starts as something familiar slowly unravels into a mind-bending psychological sci-fi thriller that keeps making you question everything. Every chapter peels back another layer, and just when you think you've figured it out, the story takes another unexpected turn.

The plot is clever, unpredictable, and filled with twists that genuinely caught me off guard.

If you love books that play with your mind, blur the line between reality and illusion, and leave you staring at the final pages in complete disbelief, this one deserves a spot on your TBR.

⭐️ Not your typical romance. Not your typical thriller. Just an unforgettable ride.

This book is heartbreakingly beautiful 💔✨

It’s been so long since I read something this emotionally intense and thought-provoking. I finished it in one sitting, and I’m still not over it.

The story follows Ravi, a glitch, and a love that lingers between past and present. One moment everything feels normal… and the next, everything changes. And trust me you are NOT ready for the plot twist. I literally sat staring at the ceiling, trying to process it. 😭

Ravi’s innocence, his love for Sujitha, and the emotional depth of every character feel so real. You don’t just read this story you live it.

A perfect blend of love, grief, sci-fi, psychological thriller, friendship, guilt, and hope. ❤️

The Glitch Between Us is a deeply emotional and thought provoking love story that pulls readers into a world where feelings are uncertain and reality itself feels fragile. Through Ravi’s struggle between comfort and temptation, the story beautifully explores guilt, desire, and the difficult choices that shape our lives. The repeating memories and shifting truths create a haunting atmosphere that keeps you curious and invested until the very end. What makes this book stand out is its message that sometimes the real answer is not found in choosing between two people, but in discovering a deeper truth within yourself. It is a touching and reflective read that stays with you even after you finish the last page.

A story that begins with a glitch, a memory fragment that's lost, confusion and a weird love triangle. Wait until you realise, it's not actually a love triangle.

While I started reading this book, I had so many questions! Why is Ravi doing all this? What is happening to his memory? Why is Lathika and Sujitha always dropping at the same point? But patience, my dear friend, is the reason you'll understand the answer to all these questions.

My favourite character from this book was Karthik. He's a true soul and his unwavering dedication and commitment towards his friendship is commendable. Lathika was my second favourite for giving her consent (iykyk)

Was I expecting such a turning point? Absolutely NOT! I was stunned 😳 And the visit after the Niagara falls, that broke me.

To conclude, the concept behind this book was amazing. It was well executed and there was an ample amount of suspense at the end of every chapter, that would keep its readers hooked. There's a mix of thriller and romance in this book, which I'm sure every reader will love!
