BEAUTIFUL WICKED CREATURE
Fatima’s sees James for the first time when she moves into her new apartment and discovers that he is her landlord. From that moment on, she is infatuated with the beautiful man that stood before her.
James is one of DC‘s most eligible bachelors… his outer shell is remarkably beautiful. However, he is a very complicated man so he stays clear of relationships. Until HER!!
This book had me talking out loud that’s how I know it was a good read. I loved Fatima, but I also wanted to shake the hell out of her. Because at times, it felt like she was straddling the fence on wanting to be with James but keep her options open when things will got shaky.
James is a real book Bae but he had me ready to grab him by the shoulders and yell make a damn decision my guy.
Yes, this is a book of fiction, but there are some points in this book that Makes this book feel like real life. Sometimes it is definitely a good idea to read the Terms and Conditions…

This was well written. Gravity: The Book of James by K. Leanette is a compelling and emotionally rich read that kept me invested from beginning to end. The characters feel authentic, and James's journey is both relatable and thought-provoking. The writing flows naturally, balancing heartfelt moments with engaging storytelling that makes it difficult to put the book down.
What stood out most was the emotional depth and the way the story explores relationships, personal growth, and resilience. K. Leanette has created a narrative that lingers with you long after you've finished the final chapter.

I went into *Gravity: The Book of James* expecting a romance, but it turned into something so much more. This book completely pulled me in, and I found myself thinking about the characters long after I finished.
What stood out to me most was how real everything felt. Nobody is perfect, nobody always makes the right decision, and the characters feel like actual people instead of people created just to move the story forward. I found myself understanding choices I normally wouldn't agree with because I was so invested in what Fatima was experiencing.
The writing was probably my biggest surprise. It's beautiful and almost poetic at times, but it never gets in the way of the story. I felt like I was living inside Fatima's head, and because of that, every emotion landed harder. There were several lines I actually stopped and reread because they were that good.
James is one of the most interesting male characters I've read in a long time. I never completely loved him, and I never completely hated him. Every time I thought I had him figured out, he'd do or say something that completely changed my perspective. He's complicated, frustrating, magnetic, and impossible to put into a simple category, which made him feel incredibly real.
I also appreciated that the story doesn't rush. It lets the tension build naturally, and by the end I was completely invested in these characters and their world.
If you're looking for a predictable romance where you already know what's going to happen, this probably isn't it. But if you enjoy character-driven stories that stay with you, make you think, and leave you wanting to immediately pick up the next book, I'd definitely recommend giving *Gravity: The Book of James* a chance.

Did Not Finish
August 28, 2026This should be called the book ABOUT James because it’s all from only the fmc’s pov. I’m sorry but I tried to give this book a real chance. It took almost 2 weeks to get to chapter 3 and that’s when I realized that we hadn’t gotten anyone else’s pov. So I randomly selected other chapters to read to gauge the pov and it’s only Fatima’s. I’m sorry I can’t read almost 500’pages of just one pov. It’s way too wordy and felt more like diary entries. I can tell the author is a talented writer but this particular style of storytelling just isn’t for me.

This was on my TBR and I regret not finding time to start it sooner!! Once I started reading, I was sucked in!! Headed on to book 2!
