It was okay and cute.

“You’re shy,” he says, sounding interested in this little nugget of information he’s discovered.
“Uh, newsflash, Derek,” Stiles says, fighting the urge to turn around as he undoes his pants. “Anybody would be body shy after getting their hands all over you.”
Derek considers this for a minute as Stiles tugs off his socks and then starts to strip out of his pants. “I like your body,” he says, and Stiles, who’s halfway out of his pants, trips over the loose leg of them and nearly falls over.

This is where I really started to get into this series. The sexy times are still being had, but Stiles and Derek start to take things a bit more seriously. Stiles starts asking the big questions, like “are we boyfriends now? Or are we just friends with benefits?” and “What DVD is currently in your DVD player?” -- You know, the important getting-to-know-you stuff!

The pack also has fun playing Trivial Pursuit: Star Wars towards the end, to which my immediate reaction was “where the fuck do I find this game!?”

In this instalment, Stiles and Derek make out before a pack meeting. Stiles' nervous chatter while making out with Derek is spot on. But. I'll just say it okay? I couldn't see the chemistry here. *ducks head* I mean, Derek looks like he's going along for the ride, pun intended, and is talkative, and indulges Stiles' tangents and all that. It's just a little weird. I like that this is headed to established relationship territory but I'm just not convinced that Derek wants or has been wanting Stiles the way Stiles has been pining for Derek.

But, oh well, don't mind me. Just enjoy the Sterek porn.

In the third installment of the series it picks up right where the second left off. Stiles and Derek tackle the discussion of "what they are to each other" which leads to more sexy times and ends with a pack meeting.

I feel it is in this installment where the characters begin to lean OOC: Derek being almost too even keel and normal. The relationship is still the focus and an easy, almost realistic progression in how it is evolving. We even get a bit of the Sheriff in this too.

I don’t understand the need to keep dropping referenced to pornography into the story. It’s distracting and annoying.

So mundane and yet so charming! 3.5 stars

I appreciated the author's wish of realism in the story. It made it all the more interesting and likable. KouriArashi also tackles an interesting aspect, what Derek does when he isn't training his pack of fighting off strange beings from the Beacon Hills domain. It was very refreshing to read about his day to day job, his work-required suit and tie, his one hour commute and Stiles' kink for ties.

I think they are rushing into the sexual relationship and neither is sparing at least one thought to the fact that Stiles is a minor in the eyes of the law. And at the rate things are going, I imagine they will go all the way in the next installment.

There was very good characterisation of personality for the rest of the cast and good interaction between them. I especially appreciated that the story didn't focus solely on Derek and Stiles. It helps broaden the limits of the book and gives it more depth. Stiles' dad, Boyd, Erica, Lydia, Jackson have more weight in the story.

Give me the next one.

Starts out with a nice pseudo heart-to-heart with the Sheriff where Stiles alluded to a time when he tried to come out and the Sheriff kinda brushed him off, so I'm very curious to see when this comes to a head. Then some sexy times, although honestly they're getting a little repetitive, gotta move this thang along!
