Okay sooo this one had me hooked way faster than I expected.
Claire is one of those FMCs I actually enjoyed being in her head. She’s been through some heavy stuff, but she’s not written as fragile or overly dramatic. She’s sharp, observant and just keeps pushing forward even when everything around her is spiraling. I loved that she felt real and grounded even when the world got chaotic.
And Seung… yeah, he’s exactly the kind of MMC I always fall for. Dark, a little dangerous, definitely morally gray, but also fiercely protective in that “touch her and you’re done” kind of way. There’s this constant internal struggle with him that adds so much tension, and the way he is with Claire? I was locked in.
Their dynamic was probably my favorite part. It’s that perfect mix of tension, danger and chemistry…like they’re dealing with demons, portals and life-or-death situations, but also can’t stay away from each other. It just worked.
The story itself has a lot going on like fallen angels, demons, different realms, a prophecy hanging over everything and I won’t lie, there were a few moments where I had to pause and piece things together. But overall, I was still fully invested.
What really stood out to me though was the author’s writing style. It’s clear, immersive, and done in such a way that you can actually visualize everything happening. I never felt lost in the world, which is huge for a story with this many elements. It made the action scenes feel vivid and the emotional moments hit even harder.
If I had to nitpick, I’d say it can feel a little busy at times and I do think reading book one first would make everything flow even better. But even with that, I was still pulled in and didn’t want to stop reading.
Overall, this gave me the tension, the danger, the emotional pull and a couple I genuinely cared about, which is what I’m always looking for. This is one to read if you like darker paranormal romance with a protective, slightly unhinged MMC, strong FMC and a mix of action/spice/emotion.

I have been waiting for this…probably a little impatient too so much so I kept telling Ines Gray that I couldn't wait to have it available to read. I wanted to savor this story because I know I will need to wait some more for the next book in the Watchers and Warriors series.

Can the second book in a series actually be better than the first? I have to say, yes! Angel Bite, Book 2 in the series, was even more intense than Book 1—and in all the right ways.
This book brings action, steamy romance, and intense battles that keep the story moving and make it difficult to put down. The intensity builds throughout the book, while the characters continue to develop in ways that add even more depth to the story.
The connection between the two female friends is especially intriguing. They are connected through the ages, and that connection is slowly revealed as the story unfolds. It is a powerful bond that leaves you wondering just how deep their connection truly goes and what else may be hidden beneath the surface.
After learning about Claire's trauma in Book 1, it was fascinating to see her begin to step into her own strength in Angel Bite. She becomes a much stronger presence, and we discover that there is far more to Claire than we initially realized.
With the action, romance, mystery, and revelations, Angel Bite takes the story to another level. If you enjoyed Book 1, Book 2 definitely gives you more to uncover—and leaves you wanting to know what comes next.

This second book does a great job of expanding the world while still keeping the emotional intensity that made the first story work so well. Claire’s character immediately pulled me in because she carries so much buried history, and the fact that she has spent years hiding behind a carefully built life gives the story a strong emotional undercurrent from the beginning.

Claire is such a total badassss! I love her, I relate to her, and I totally want to be her when I grow up lol. Seung, our knight and total daddy, is the complete package. Amazing body, emotionally aware, touch her and die vibes, with a kinky demon side. This book got me so hooked so quickly. Between our main characters and the world-building, I just want to keep reading more. I enjoyed the knew characteres introduced and the twists and turns of this book. After reading the first book in this series, I was so excited to hear the second book was about Claire and Seung. I loved their dynamic in the first book and was almost just as obsessed with them as I was Devin and Marco. This book did not disappoint and I fear I might favor Claire and Seung’s relationship more. His demonic, blood thirsty side makes their relationship so much more appealing. It’s like reading a fallen angel and vampire romance book. I’d give more than five stars if I could because as a fantasy/romance/lover of spicy books, this hit every checkmark of a perfect book🌶️🥵

I love the dynamic between Claire and Seung. I think I'm obsessed with a smart, independent woman in control of her life taken in by morally grey angel with a bloodlust curse (love family inheritance).
I think my review is going to be Claire focused because she is the bestie of all besties, teaming up with Seung to rescue her equally badass friend (Book 1).

Only a pleasant aftertaste from the story I read. I managed to fully and completely immerse myself in it. Even when I wasn't reading, I kept thinking about this story. The story is built on two main lines - Seung's internal struggle with his demonic nature and the connection between him and Claire. And it's not just "he is dark - she is light" It’s more interesting: he is truly afraid of himself, afraid of hurting her and at the same time he is drawn to her on a level he doesn't fully understand. And this tension - "I want you or I can destroy you" - is the core of the whole story.

This book was so good I didn't want to put it down! I love the seamless transition between books 1 & 2.
I absolutely loved following Seung and Claire's storyline! The way the author weaved in their trauma and growth throughout the book was my favorite. I connected deeply with that aspect of the book.
I also thoroughly enjoy the Egyptian aspects of the book. I have always been fascinated with Egyptian history so that was something that kept me hooked.
If you like stories about Angels, Demons, Supernatural beings, you will absolutely love this book!

I loved all the Egypt scenes I've always wanted to go to Egypt and this book took me there!

This story really got to me. It's about a woman who’s been running from her past for twenty years. You can really feel her fear. When her best friend gets dragged into a dark, supernatural world, everything she built starts to crumble. I loved the tension between her and the brooding, protective guardian; he's got his own demons, literally. It’s a total emotional rollercoaster. If you like fated mates and high stakes, this one is definitely worth the read.

Angel Bites was a refreshing break from the heavier, more serious books I’ve been reading lately. I really loved Claire and the journey she went on. Her relationship with Seung was my favorite part of Angel Redeemed (Book 1), and it continued to be a highlight in this book as well. First of heck to the yes! The emotional roller coaster of this one definitely rivals book one with that! I received this as an arc reader. If you love found family snarky banter and vampire vibes you need to read this. Halfway through I thought it wasn’t going to go the way I hoped and it was definitely some back and forth but in the end I absolutely loved the ending. Just gah! Love it so much!

This is great for those into the human and angelic romance genres. It has a good mix of emotions, tension, and fantasy to keep you engaged. I like that the characters progress from enemies to lovers throughout, and their relationship builds up in a natural way, giving it more emotional weight. A fantastic paranormal romance adventure.

I got to read Angel Bite from the hospital. Actually quite fun setting... a bit ironic sometimes. The fact that the story revolved over nephilim made it very very compelling to me because I am a complete sucker when it comes to book of enoch references... making it more realistic and captiviting... at least to me. Highly recommended!!!

The whole premise was captivating. Two bodies disappearing from the examination table to set the medical examiner on a supernatural, gritty path is amazing. Honestly, I didn't like the book - we have supernaturals, a human that is a coroner and bodies go missing.

Angel Bites had everything I love in to read…paranormal romance, past lives, angels and demons, and plenty of twists. The tension and chemistry between Claire and Seung kept me hooked and the banter between them was perfect (loved the tension 🤭)

This is the second in the series, and it did not disappoint! I without a doubt enjoyed reading Seung and Claire's story. I love her character development, her writing is fantastic! I can not wait for the 3rd book to come out!
