Angelica Mason is no joke. Her motto, ‘it’s my way or the highway’. You can take me or leave me she says but she’s more than sure you will take her.
No longer satisfied with her high power job in Washington DC, she returns home to Smoothville, Georgia looking for love. Specifically, the love of her life, the high school sweetheart she ditched when she went away to college.
Angelica is surprised when she discovers she loves her Smoothville Georgia City Manager position. She’s not a bit surprised, however, when she crosses paths with Shawn Mallory the man she plans to marry.

Blue Lady by Stephanie Tullis Book 1 of the Angelica Mason series. Really just an intro to the series / characters with a cliffhanger to the series. I don’t like manipulative games. What was supposed to read as confidence came off as arrogance to me. Small minor glimpses of vulnerability but those disappeared within seconds. This was not a couple I wanted to get to know better.
Blue Lady is a fast aced story. In a way it's funny and ... Hmmm...snarky?? Wonder if that is word I am looking for. It's fun. The way it's written is great and the story is short so you can read the next book pretty quick. It's worth the read as short as the book was pretty short. I think this series is a trilogy. I got all 3 books and this is book one. Have fun reading this series. Loved it!!
Short, saucy in a clean way, the beginning of a series.Do we always think we know what we want and then discover we might be wrong? Without giving away any of the deatils this is a piece of fiction one can feel the writer's enjoyment in telling the story - nice clothes, a fancy car, a job woth a great future - would you give it up in search for the love of your life? I enjoyed the story - the worst thing is I have to wait for the next sequel.
I adore the main character in this short story. Angelica Mason is a strong willed, well-educated woman. She decides to give up a high power position to pursue love. Not many people are brave enough to make such a choice.
The man of her dreams is her high school sweetheart Shawn. Does she get her man? Is Angelica happy with the choices she’s made? I won’t give away what happens. You need to read this delightful romance.
Author Stephany Tullis continues to write wonderful books. This is the third one of hers I’ve read. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!
Angelica has it all; the designer gear, an abundance of money, and a high-powered job. However, she does not have Shawn, the man of her dreams. When she finds out that they will be working together, she devises a plan to ensnare him, certain that he would not be able to resist the charms of her alter ego, The Blue Lady. However, Angelica had not taken into account Shawn’s masterful re-creation of himself since their previous relationship fizzled out, and also the new hindrance of Sondra, an unplanned spanner in the works. Will Angelica and Shawn get back together? You will have to buy this short story to find out!
Blue lady is a sweet short story about a powerful and successful woman who gives up everything for chasing love. Beautifully written by Ms Tullis, not only is it a story of choices, but it's also about taking our lives easy and enjoying what the wonderful world has to offer. Blue lady entertained and made me think at the same time. Highly recommended also because it's a nice short reading between longer books.
I love reading Ms. Tully's stories. This is a quick but great read. I usually don't like cliff hangers but this pulled me in. I love how descriptive the characters are and how you feel you are in the story. The writer does a great job with the flow of the story. I can't wait for the next story!
Not sure how this has so many 5 * reviews. It's an editorial mess.
Repeatedwordsrepeatedwords. 16 numbers that have no rhyme or reason inserted in odd places. Weirdweird line spacing that
makes less sense than the numbers showing up in unexpected places. This was just 1 the first chapter.
I won't even attempt read something that so obviously needs an editor or three. I The grammar and editorial mistakes in this review are deliberate to illustrate a point.
Blue Lady is the prelude to the Angelica Mason Series.
Even though Angelica took a job in her hometown--it wasn't going to be as easy to reconnect with the boyfriend she left behind many years ago. She is definitely not a quitter--but he is still really angry. Even though they have to work together things are not as easy as she thought it would be.
To find out if things eventually work out I guess I will just have to read the rest of this series!
I found it too short to get invested in the characters. At this point I really don't like either one. Although Angela is a smart successful business woman, she comes across as selfish and self centered. Shawn is almost as bad. Why can't they just talk, the games are childish. I'm really not sure about reading the next one in the series.
I am certain this is a great author and appeals to a great amount of people from all the five star reviews, but I just did not get most of it. It seemed disjointed, flying from one character to another and seemed basically a war being brewed. A war of annihilation, conquering, and payback. NOT my cup of tea! However four stars because I don't want to be annihilated by the author's loyal fans.
I wouldn't recommend this book or continue the series. But if you are looking for a really short read and enjoy business romance, this might be for you.
Confusing style for me. Hard to follow all the charters. Does not interest me to read more. Sorry but I just did not care to continue reading the next book
This read moves really really fast. I would have enjoyed a little more introduction of the background of Angel and Shawn. I am ready for part two. Good quick read!
Who or what makes your alter ego come out? As always, Ms. Tullis makes you think of real situations in your life. You know, when you were working on "getting your man" or "getting that position" or "showing her a thing or two." The only thing is, I haven't named my 'alter ego' (although my family may have). It's good to see though, that men have alter egos, too. This was a close call, though, Im not sure who wins this round. Blue Lady/Angelica Mason (in the blue corner) or Superfly/Clark Kent/Shawn Mallory (in the red corner). I may have to call it a draw! I can't wait to see what happens in round two!
Angelica Mason is a force of nature. When she makes a decision, look out world! Beautiful, accomplished, she's covered a lot of ground at a young age. That has involved making some big shifts, including a move back to Smoothville after a stint in Washington, D.C., close to the center of it all! She has a new plan--this time she's playing for keeps and for love. This short, fast-paced story is filled with fun, fashion, food and clever characters--and that's only the beginning... She's ended this introduction to Angelica Mason, aka "Blue Lady" with a cliffhanger. Can't imagine what she'll get up to next, but I'm betting the author can. Bring it, Blue Lady, let's see what you've got!
A great tale centered on the difficult choices we all have to make in life. Angelica gives up her high-powered job in Washington, and its accompanying enviable lifestyle, to return to her home town, with the aim of winning back the high school love of her life. But will it prove more difficult than she had imagined? Has Shawn changed dramatically? And does Angelica have a powerful rival? A story of hopes, reality and dreams, snazzily put together and smoothly written. I couldn’t put it down. You must check it out.
Blue Lady : The Angelica Mason Series. By Stephany Tullis
A lovely short section of a serial novel. I'd not call it a book in a series due to the brevity combined with the abrupt cliffhanger ending. It was a fun read and well-written. Angelica is a strong female character, and this episode expands on how she is setting up to weave a love interest with Shawnee. Looking forward to continuing to see where this episode is heading. I recommend this for a lighthearted, short read.
Blue Lady by Stephany Tullis is an easy read. Enjoyed the adventure that started out The Angelica Mason Series. Loved Angelica's quirkiness and strong personality. Read this in a fury wanting to know where this might lead. Looks like I might have to wait.
