Colt is VP of the Venom Riders MC. He's dangerous, intense, and convinced I destroyed him when I disappeared without a word. When he corners me in a grocery store with his twin sons at my side, the hatred in his eyes is terrifying. But I don't remember him. I don't remember anything from before I woke up in a stranger's home seven years ago with no memories and twins growing inside me. Now he's everywhere—at my sons' school, at my home, calling me a liar and a cheat. My boys are terrified. I'm terrified. Until the truth comes out, and everything I thought I knew shatters. Those twins? They're his. The man I don't remember? He's my husband. And the night I disappeared? I still don’t remember that, and I’m not sure I want to.
Colt
I spent seven years hating the woman who broke me. My brothers told me Lilac cheated. That she cleaned out our bank account and vanished while I was on a run. I believed them because I had no reason not to. Then I saw her in Millfield—alive, beautiful, and pretending she didn't know me. The rage nearly destroyed me all over again. Until I learned the truth. My wife spent seven years living with amnesia, raising our sons alone, building a life from nothing while I mourned a ghost. Now I have to earn back what I lost. Prove to a woman who doesn't remember loving me that I'm worth the risk. Win the trust of sons who see me as the monster who made their mama cry. And destroy every last person who stole seven years from us. I'll burn the world down before I lose them again because Lilac isn't just the woman I loved. She's the only woman I'll ever need—even if she can't remember why.
This novel can be enjoyed as a standalone. It is also Book 2 of 5 in the Venom Riders MC series, each with its own HEA. Due to mature themes, it is recommended for readers aged 18+. This story may contain triggers. Colt contains perceived cheating, amnesia, secret children, and violence.
Romance addict, book lover, & eternal believer in happily-ever-afters whether it's an MC romance, the redemption of a groveling hero, or the mystical allure of fae, wolf shifters, or dragons! I write what I like to read.
As a child reared on soap operas, I’m an absolute sucker for a good amnesia romance. I ate this up! If anyone has good amnesia recs, please let me know!
This was MC lite with pretty low angst. Angst was largely resolved by around 20%. It was super sweet watching them fall in love again. Sadly for me, there was no OW/OM drama. The bad guys get their karma. Hard earned HEA. And, man, he is going to worship the ground she walks on for LIFE! Swoon.
I loved those kids. I am a twin too and I understood their bond. The being born first, the need to watch over, everything. I know people thought they talked older than their age but my first grandson was like that and so were my granddaughters. Heck they talked like that by five. I think they learn by whoever is talking to them or reading to them. Their might have been a couple of instances that I raised my eyebrows about but for the most part I get it. The hero almost had 'sexual relations' with a club girl in the first chapter right after he saw h for the first time. But he did stop it. But he had other women while apart because he totally hated the h because of the lies. She had sex too while they were apart because she didn't remember him. With only.one guy but still. So I kind of let it go. Its a stupid pet peeve of mine but I am trying to be less judgey. It doesn't always work though. Almost never actually. Lol But I'm trying. I even gave it 3 1/2 stars instead of two. I'm growing. their journey back to each other is good. And there was no other ow/om drama. She did make sure he hadn't had ow in his club room though. Lol the epilogue was perfect. Glad I read this.one.
This is one of the best amnesia stories I've read. I liked that the Hero who believed she'd left and cheated even though he was mad and cruel, it didn't last long. He even breaks down in tears, realising the time hes lost with his sons, he didn't know he had.
Spoiler. The club Hero was with at the time had an episode of violence at the clubhouse while the Hero was on a run so they hid that the heroine had been beaten, thought dead. A young prospect secrets her away so she gets medical help. 7 years later she sees the Hero and after a few encounters it becomes evident she genuinely doesn't remember him.
HEA.
Kids did talk a bit adult for 6 years old.
They've both been with others in the 7 years apart. She didn't remember him or know she was married during that time and he thought she left him, cheated and had a child with someone else and divorced him.
Pet peeve I have to get off my chest: There’s a ton of dialogue from the two twin boys who are six years old, but somehow talk like fully grown an adult adults!!!
I would say the first 30% was probably my favorite. And it doesn’t pick back up until the last 80%. It’s a very slow burn.
So the story is about my husband and wife who been married for a few years. While the husband is out on a motorcycle run, his club brothers tell him that his wife left him, took all his money and has been cheating on him. They do give fake evidence, but I just cannot cannot get over the fact that he did not even try to have a conversation with her. If it was so out of left field, why would he not try to have a confrontation with her. Seven year separation. He spends it being a manh while she raises the boys and struggles a bit. One scene I found a bit weird is when they initially meet back up and she doesn’t remember Colt. He calls are by your name and is telling her that he knew her blah blah blah. She doesn’t remember anything from before seven years ago so instead of just telling him over and over “I don’t know you I don’t know you” why not try and give an explanation about the amnesia. I would just think that somebody who has amnesia might not find it that strange that someone is saying they know them from years ago. I would think that they would want more information.
Anyway, I did like the book and I’m excited for the next story. Colt shows up every day for his kids and tries to be a good father. Eventually him and lilac get together again. She never fully regained her memory, which I actually really liked. She had to fall in love with him all over again.
The issue between Colt and Lilac was resolved quickly and after that, nothing really happened; everything was sweet and there was no angst or conflict.

It starts off so good. The confrontation is in the first chapter. Colt doesn't know Lilac has amnesia and is a dick to her in front of her children. Colt is also kinda stupid because if I just disappeared without a trace, cleaning out our bank account, and supposedly ran off with another man, my husband is going to hire 47 different private investigators to find me. Colt just let her go. Lilac was the love of his life but he believed his MC brothers without a second thought.
Lilac and the boys were completely innocent in this. She didn't know she was married before and didn't know who the father of her twins were. We find out what happened to her pretty early on but the why isn't until later on.
Her boys are 6 and talk like adults. That bugged me. I kept telling my kindle "6 year olds don't talk like this." But whatever. Also WTF was Indira's deal in the beginning. She was way too involved in other people's business for my taste and called Lilac a bitch without knowing the full story. I loved her in Dutch. She was a nosy bitch in this one. She never apologized for thinking the worst at first.
Nothing really happens in the middle of the book after Colt realizes Lilac has amnesia. It got repetitive for a while. There's no OW drama or any real angst besides that first quarter of the book. It's a super slow burn, but the story needed that.
I'm looking forward to the rest of the series. I feel like Holden is going to finally get Bea locked down only to cheat on her and get caught.
Issues resolved early on which left the story lagging.
Oh and 6 year olds do not have the speech or perception of 16 year olds unless they're the 6 year olds in this book. Why do authors do this? Ridiculous 🤦🏼♀️🙄
All before you hit 25%, you learn what happened to the FMC, where she has been, who did it, why they did it, when they did it, and why they covered it up. After that it goes into the FMC and MMC getting reacquainted and that’s where the story lost me. I DNF’d about 35% in it’s obvious how the rest of the story will play out. I skimmed ahead and I was pretty much right so I quit.
Hacen incapié a Holden y Bea.

If you are on the fence about MC romances, then I would give this one a try. The MC is more of a backdrop in this story. Not many scenes actually take place in the clubhouse. It is truly a story about second chances and reconnecting. I think it has a wide appeal to both romance readers and MC light readers.
Ivy Myst takes the betrayal trope in an all new direction. There is a huge betrayal in this story but it actually isn’t the main characters who do the betraying. So you are not going to get any evil ow’s or other men drama. However, the betrayal causes catastrophic consequences for our main characters and there are many lost years as a result.
Colt currently belongs to The Venom Riders Mc in Oregon. He was married to Lilac and he belonged to the Deaths Head MC in Texas. Colt and Lilac were madly in love, or at least he thought so. When he came back from being on the road, it was to discover that his wife cleaned out their bank account, left signed divorce papers, and the club had incriminating photos of her with another man. This destroyed Colt and in the last 7 years he has not had a serious relationship since. He decided to leave Texas for Oregon and that is where he currently resides.
Lilac is the mom of 6 year old twin boys. Seven years ago she was beaten within an inch of her life. A prospect named Graham saved her life by bringing her to Betty, a nurse with connections, who got Lilac the help she needed to survive. When Lilac awoke from a coma, she had no memories and found out that she was a few months pregnant. Betty took her in and became a mom/grandma to her and her boys. Before the boys are born, Betty decides that they should move to Oregon to be closer to her sister. Lilac with no memory of family or friends gladly leaves Texas with her and that has where she has been living the last 7 years. One day while shopping for groceries with her boys, she is verbally accosted by a man in a cut. He is angry, hateful, and spewing terrible accusations at her. She and her boys are scared. Who is this stranger and why is he so angry?
This is the beginning of the reunion between Colt and Lilac. I wont give away too many more details, but I love how Ivy approached the amnesia trope. So here were some things that I love about the handling of this story.
Did Ivy drag out the big reveal of the disappearing wife? No! When Colt and his MC brothers run across Lilac and the boys again, they are unkind and scary. However, Glitch one of the brothers, notices that this is not a woman who is lying this is a woman who is terrified. He stops the verbal attacks and starts doing some sleuthing and discovers the truth. Colt is left reeling!!! This happens about 15 percent into the book.
Oh so did Lilac magically recover a lifetime of memories? Again, no!! Lilac gets fragments here and there, but never totally recovers her memories. Graham, the prospect that saved her life, fills in some blanks for her just so she can understand that Colt, despite his recent outbursts, is not a bad man and he and Lilac were very much in love.
Do Lilac and Colt instantly resume their previous married life? NO! This is where Ivy doesn’t take the easy way out. Lilac with no memories of Colt, with no memories of their shared love, etc…doesn’t just hand over her sons and resume the life of a married woman. She is a mom first and foremost. This man she met in the grocery store gave off scary vibes. Her boys do not like him either. So, she allows Colt to get to know their sons with supervised visits at the house she shares with Betty.
Does Colt still love Lilac? Yes! Here is the thing about the amnesia trope, I know it is not always a favorite of readers but I always think about the lover who keeps the memories and the one who has lost them. Colt has every memory of his time with Lilac, the first time they kissed, made love, their arguments, their joys etc…this is why he was so angry with her when she “left”! Now, Colt has the difficult task of making Lilac fall in love with him all over again! It has been 7 years. Neither Lilac or Colt were celibate. She is older and has changed. What if she can never love the father of her children? For her, it is sad she has no memories, but she is a fresh slate. Her heart is not breaking over Colt, he is just a stranger who gave her a very bad first impression! Meanwhile, Colt lost the joy of seeing his wife grow big with their children, he missed first steps, first words, first everything! My heart breaks for Colt even more so than Lilac. So, Ivy does an excellent job of having Colt first make deeper connections with his sons while at the same time showing Lilac the type of man he is. The type of man she wants to get to know better. So this story is more than just a second chance at love. I loved watching the journey the couple took to get back to each other.
Do the evil doers ever get dealt with in the story? Oh yes they do, near the end. I won’t spoil it here!
Overall this is a lovely romance. It is low on angst but full of heart. There was no easy fix, and this really showcases Colt’s determination to become a good father and hopefully husband. This is what I liked is that he never pushed Lilac into a relationship. He focused on his boys first and showed Lilac that she can trust him so that maybe someday she would trust him with her heart as well! Meanwhile, Lilac has her own healing to do, and even though she doesn’t fully recover her memories, she gets moments in time, and a pull to Colt she doesn’t quite understand.
I really enjoyed this latest offering from Ivy Myst. Bring on book 3!!!!
This story had so much potential. I'm a sucker for "Sweet Heroines Done Dirty", and this story is exactly that. All of that could have been great. But all of that happened in the past, before this story ever began. And POOF, it was over in a heartbeat. The majority of this story continues on sweetly with Colt getting to know his sons while trying to reconnect with Lilac again, and the story becomes a tad boring in the process. Not only that, but the twin boys are only 6 years old, but they talked and acted like teenagers. It was weird AF. I adore stories where the Hero is misguided about his lady love, and he treats her abhorrently through the story because of what he wrongly believes about her. But NONE of that happened in this story. Not really. I mean, the betrayal happened BEFORE the story started. The couple was apart for 7 years, and the lie that broke them up was discovered as soon as this couple reunited again in the very beginning of this story. This story could have been epically angsty if we could have experienced this couple's epic love in the beginning and THEN witnessed the betrayal of the couple. I would have loved to experience Colt treating Lilac cruelly for a bit longer, too. Really getting the angst built up. Icing on the cake would have been the club girl wannabe OW really causing a ton of drama, but NOTHING happened. I usually love this author's stories, but (aside from the smidgen of revenge killing at the end of this story), I felt like this author was trying to keep her story super clean, super safe safe and super boring. Eventually, secrets are revealed and the MMC must do everything he can to help the FMC remember and regain his family.
Full Review: This is the second book by Ivy Mysty that I have read. The first being Dutch. Dutch is also the first book in this series. I loved this book. I have reread this book multiple times this week! The emotions it brings up...chef's kiss. The children are well written and age appropriate. I truly dislike when a child's language is more adult than childlike. That is not the case here.
The devastation that the MMC feels when the truth is revealed---you feel it. The way the FMC navigates this entire situation while making sure her children are good---you will applaud. It all works. Ivy Myst draws you in fully and keeps you engaged with a story of love and second chances.
This might not be popular, but I also liked that the FMC didn't regain her full memories.

Overall, the story was good. I liked the boys. I liked Betty and the main characters were OK as well. But I didn’t love them. There was very little chemistry I think between the main characters. And honestly, she was incredibly emotional and weak. I felt like, you don’t get to be a parent and cry every two seconds not when you’ve had to be a single parent rebuilding your life. She just wasn’t very likable. If this was a really tough woman, I would’ve liked the story so much better and then how much he liked her would’ve made more sense if you even thought he liked her because it didn’t come off that way at all.
Additionally the little boys did not talk like little boys. I’ve had two sons. They never meet somebody and say they really listen to me. That is not a thing a kid says. It’s just kind of a fallback tool authors use to try and tell you somebody’s working on things but it’s not a realistic plot tool.
Lastly, I know she was battling amnesia and a lot of times I like my women to date other men as well. I get that she didn’t and she had been through the wringer so I do understand. I’m not faulting the author for that especially considering on her first book there were reviews where people were mad that the person who’d been cheated on went and dated other people (i’d like to tell those reviewers to move into the present century please). How sad is that, but I didn’t like the fact that he had buried himself in women as much as he had and then she was just supposed to forgive him for not looking for her at all. If he really loved her, he would have looked for that confrontation. It would’ve been more believable if she had disappeared and he really truly couldn’t find her but getting the divorce papers back any man in his right mind would’ve wanted a confrontation so I felt like that was a plot hole. Again, it’s a good story but it’s not five stars. It needs some more stuff and she just was kind of blah.
I’ve learned recently that I love amnesia in books! It’s just satisfying to watch someone work to earn back the love they don’t remember themselves or that their loved one doesn’t remember! I was pretty ready not to like Colt at the beginning. I didn’t like the way he treated her and scared her. I love their son for sticking up to him to protect Lilac. I loved Colt’s realization of all he had given up. I also love that it wasn’t instant. He worked for it.
I loved Lilac for always putting their sons first. She was a good mother first and foremost and I loved watching her try to fit Colt into their life. She wasn’t petty, which I fo love some petty sometimes, but in this case I appreciated the lack of pettiness. I loved the way they learned to communicate too. There was a particular part with a dirt bike that I loved, because she didn’t let her thoughts fester. She said her piece and made it known how she felt and was heard. He just kept showing up and being there and quietly taking care of his family. I know it’s a cliche a lot of times, but it felt right that after not being there for so long, he was proving he could show up and she could depend upon him as a father and partner. I loved their family and how he earned their love and respect. It was beautiful yo see their love grow together. It was apparent that Colt never truly got over her. I loved watching her meet his love over time and rediscover her feelings.
This was just a beautiful love story. I love Colt and Lilac and Luca and Knox. Their family was so sweet and I melted repeatedly. I can’t wait for Holden’s book, where I hope we’ll also get a peek of Colt and Lilac like we did in this one with Dutch and Indira! Ivy Myst has woven a tight and ever evolving universe for the Venom Riders and super excited to see where it’s going! I love the Venom Riders MC! I love the brothers, although some have upset me on occasion. Also, I adore Glitch. I’m excited for Holden and Handful, but Glitch is where it’s at. I love him a little more each time he shows up and reminds his brothers to use their brains!
2.5* It’s better than the first book, but still so many details missing.
While I definitely enjoyed it a lot better than the first book, there’s still loads of details missing. What happened to Colt’s parents? Are they still alive? Did the Mc know Betty before? Just basic information that’s missing. The whole book is about Colt, Lilac, and their two sons Knox and Lucas. Dutch keeps saying about an expansion, does that mean a new club, or just the sales of w**pons? Again it’s not explained!
Colt for the past seven years has been convinced that his wife Lilac left him and stole his money. His old club convinced him that she had cheated on him. So when he sees Lilac in the shop with her twin six year old boys he’s so angry that he shouts at her, and terrifies both the kids and Lilac! 😡😡😡😡 Even if she had done that, that’s disgusting!!! It doesn’t just happen once either, at one point the club sees her and once again she’s with her sons, and they all start saying things to her!!! Again terrifying her and her sons. I’m not loving their behaviour at all. There’s absolutely NO JUSTIFICATION FOR SCARING THEM SO MUCH. 😡😡😡😡
When Colt finds out that it was all fabricated and L something really bad had happened to Lilac, leading to her having amnesia, he’s very apologetic. A bit too late! Soon Lilac and Colt are back together and the boys are calling Colt Dad, but it felt weird after all that had happened.
It was better than the first but not really well written. The author says that Lilac has really horrendous headaches but she never has one at all in the whole book. Does she take medication for them? Again not explained.
This story is not a typical romance. There is no cheating, third-act breakups, Ow/Om drama, lots of spice or banter; this is an emotional journey about a family trying to reconnect after a tragedy and separation. The story focuses on the MMC trying to forgive himself and the lengths he goes to in order to prove himself to his newly discovered twin sons and win back the wife he loves fiercely.
The negative aspects of the book - there are no light, fun scenes between the couple. We are told they love one another but there is no chemistry. The forced inclusion of Bea, to set her up as a FMC in the next book. The role she played could have easily been filled by Indira (the previous book’s FMC). The FMC was bland. Yes, she lost her memory but that shouldn’t have suppressed her identity. Throughout the entire story, she’s a mother and that role defines her.
The positive aspects of the book - The MMC was wonderfully layered with his grief, anger, and need for his family clearly shown throughout the story. The twins were great and the story delves into the emotional impact of a new person joining their family. I also liked the special appearance of Indira in the book, because she was the opposite of the FMC (strong and confident) and it highlighted a developing female friendship, where two people with different personalities and backgrounds could connect and support one another.
I loved Colt.. What a great read!!! Ivy Myst writes remarkable characters and the development is so surreal and just awe inspiring. Colt is my Second book for Ivy Myst and the second book in Venom riders MC
You read about COLT in Dutch already and had an inklink in what was possibly coming. So much more. Second chance love at its very very best.
My heart broke for these 2 and my heart broke for their family. I went in “blind” and did not spoil it for myself and I was happy about it.
Venom Riders as an MC series promise to do deep dive into life , love and what holds us up. But more than that each story has a strong redemption or second chance arc. You won't be able to put the books down. Not at all. Not a little bit. and not even a lot. love love love.
I hope in the future in a second generation we get some Knox and Luke love. I think these twins have a book or two up their sleeves !
The passion in this book and its almost slow pace was perfect and hard won. Lilac and Colt is magic. “The way she used to smile at me in the morning, sleep-soft and beautiful. The way she’d wrap herself around me like I was the only solid thing in her world. The way she’d laugh when I said something stupid, that full-body laugh that made me feel like the funniest man alive.”
I will be re-reading this series at a later stage and its definitely in my TO_BUY list x
My wife. My ex-wife. The woman I’d loved more than the open road and now hated just as much.
This was a refreshing story and one I really enjoyed. There are themes of perceived cheating, violence, amnesia and drama and while it appears more MC-lite, it abounded with high emotional angst, but ended in a harmonious way. This is the second installment in the Venom Riders MC books and it features Colt who is the VP.
Colt and his wife Lilac had a very happy marriage but through fabricated lies, deceit and misdirection from his Death Head club; through Lilac’s near death, subsequent amnesia and their secret twin boys - they faced seven years of painful distance before their story starts to progress in this book. Colt was told his wife left him, cleared their accounts, left divorce papers and didn’t stay to fight for their relationship, which resulted in his continual anger at his situation. Lilac was left for dead and with amnesia and through a lifeline of help, she eventually had her twin boys and landed in a safe place with close bonded family by her side to help her. Through misplaced aggression and drama to the eventual realization of the truth and his newer MC brother’s support to clean house, we come full circle to their HEA. Lilac’s amnesia did have some enlightening moments of past memories but it was portrayed in a realistic way and both the two main characters learned to grow, to change and to ultimately accept the new versions of each other in their second chance relationship.
This is an emotional and angsty read that is descriptive and well written and one line of the text summed up all my feelings of hopefulness, hilarity, deep satisfaction and comfort - “By noon, Handful had discovered the snow cone machine”. 😉 I have thoroughly enjoyed the hours of respite this reading has gifted me and thank the author for giving me the opportunity to enjoy the arc and provide my voluntary review.
Colt is VP of the Venom Riders MC. Lilac is his wife and they have twin boys, Luca and Knox. They have been separated for seven years because he thought she cheated, took all their money, and left him. However, she was hurt and left on the ground unconscious, and when she woke up in the hospital, she had amnesia. She was helped and found a friend in Betty, who kept her and the twins. But Betty lives close to the MC and by chance Lilac and the boys run into Colt and the club. To say it didn't go well is an understatement.
This story contains perceived cheating, amnesia, secret children, and violence. Secrets are uncovered, the betrayers are revealed and dealt with, relationships are mended, and family is built and strengthened through healing, love, and renewed trust.
I’m conflicted about this rating. The story started really well. It’s a single mother of twins who lost her memory due to an attack at her ex-husband’s MC and she doesn’t remember a thing before 7 years ago. He stumbled into her at the grocery store and go on a rampage because he was lied to and thought she cheated and left him…. So the first part of this story is good because we find out what happened and who they were and who they are now… but then the story stalled and became the description of their routines. The build up to their relationship was excruciating and slow. It could have been cut in half and the revenge part could have been longer! It started well but became quickly a boring story.
First, book I enjoyed reading in while. Felt like it was written by an actual person. There were some mistakes and some of the conversations from 6 year olds seemed...a stretch. Worked with kids for over 30 years so I kinda know but she made the twins endearing. It did seem that she swapped the personalities of the boys toward the end of the book but it worked. I liked that the story plot was different and that there was no rebound relationship. This had extenuating circumstances. I want to read a book where the main couple go through rough patches but that their connection is so strong the idea of someone else is not even there. Over all this was a pretty good read. Hope Holden's book is as well.
I loved this story- such a fun twist on your typical MC betrayal/grovel story. Ivy’s series here follows a group of me from this MC as they mess up and learn along the way but it’s been so fun to see how each story is so different so far.
Colt and Lilac have been separated for years, Colt adamantly trying to hate her for betraying and leaving him years ago. So what happens when he sees her and verbally attacks her for his years of hurt and betrayal? Well…. Mass confusion. Because she has no idea who he is.
Definitely take the time to read this story of Lilac and Colt finding each other and their family again.
The person who i hated in this book was Indira.I don't know who she thinks she is but at the beginning of the book she is slagging Lilac off and calling her a bitch all because she'd heard Colt's version and when the truth came out she never once admitted it to Lilac or even apologised for saying it to anyone.I also don't understand why this nosey busy body needed to be there when Colt first spoke to lilac, there was absolutely no need.Atleast Lilac didn't settle for a community dick like Dutch so she can suck it.
Not bad after Colt realized the truth. Everything was wrapped up satisfactorily and Colt seemed like the perfect dad and husband after he realized what happened to Lilac… but I’m not a fan of amnesia tropes so this wasn’t my favorite story line. It was frustrating that neither Graham nor Betty told Lilac or Colt the truth. Kids were involved and they knew Colt loved Lilac. Screw the amnesia “protocols” and possible threat from his old club, they both deserved to know the truth. It was actually kind of cruel.

I love that Colt showed up for Lilac and the kids every day. I thought the boys were adorable. And I think that Colt and Lilac rebuilt their relationship to be solid. Elevator pitch: Seven years ago, Colt’s wife left him. He spots her in the supermarket with twin boys, but she acts like she never met him before. Little does he know, she’s been suffering from amnesia the whole time. Cat’s Stats: Heat- slower burn, explicit. Bechdel Test- passed Safety? Y Triggers- violence, language, night terrors. Tropes- Secret Baby, Adorable Moppets, Amnesia, Second Chance (marriage).
Colt is definitely one of the best I have read this year. He is written so honestly that you can't help but want him to get his HEA after such heartbreak. The scenes between Colt and the twins were so emotional. Lilac was everything you want in a female lead....you love her from the beginning of the book. All the side characters were great and I would love for each of them to have their own story. The epilog was perfect...it is the life they deserve. I didn't want this story to end. If you don't read this story you are really missing out!
I don’t usually love books with kids, second chance or amnesia and this has all 3 but I liked the first in the series so I figured I’d give it a shot. Had a good time reading it and although there wasn’t a ton of drama after that first half I thought the relationship between the characters was good, the use of the kids in the plot was decent and I’m ready for the next to come out since the side characters are interesting as well.
