Lammie Loves Cubby is the best yet of Nora Gaskin's books. The descriptions of a remembered time and place felt authentic and vibrant. I could really see the environment and the people. Lammie especially came alive on the page - everything from her choices of apparel to her long-delayed romance with Cubby. Highly recommend.
Lammie Loves Cubby is for lovers of the slow-burn suspense novel. I enjoyed this book and found the characters and their situation totally believable. I remember girls like Lammie from my high school days and times in my 20’s. Girls with just enough “wild & crazy” to be drawn to relationships that amp-up the thrills develop into exact little acts of danger to keep their life aglow.
This southern crime novel was an excellent read. I enjoyed the setting, the character development, and the underlying crime analysis. Nora Gaskin has a gift for dialogue and period details, all of which felt very believable. You never know what quirks and crimes can hide behind a polite facade!
