Raith finds hisself in a quandary when the Blood Choosing hits. His blood has chosen an iron worker, of all things, and his famous charms can’t win this spitfire over.
THE MARQUESS OF RAVENS is just as consuming as DUKE OF THORNS was. I woke up at 4 am and couldn’t get back to sleep, decided I’d read to get sleepy. HA! Maybe if I didn’t open this gem of a book! I finished this book in less than 4 hours — which for me is saying plenty, because on kindle it’s 262 pages and I’m usually a 50 page per hour gal. It’s that good. Oh yeah, I have to add: I love the book cover. *** Recommended ***

Wren literally smacks Raith in the head and shatters his world! Such a complex thing is their relationship! Raith is the fancy-dandy Marquess and Branwen is the blacksmith 's daughter, of all things, drenched in iron! She rips away his immortal facade and pulls him down from his throne right into dirt. She strips his soul and leaves him raw, she reconstructs him bit by bit and makes him better, real. He is finally seen, the real thing beneath the glamour, the monster usually hidden. Wren is honest, down to earth, and changes Ravenwood completely. If Duke of Thornes is full of yearning, Marquess of Ravens is full of impatient rough love, of real emotion that consume Wren and Raith. She is in full control, she has all the power she needs and she knows completely. Vex and Raith reach a turning point and will do whatever necessary to keep their wives alive, to chande tge measure of their mortality. I loved this book! The characters dynamic, the story, the torment and the logic, everything! Such a beautiful series! I am hooked on these books! Thank you, Delilah Duvall and Booksirens for this book! Absolutely bewitching story! I have received this book as ARC from Booksirens and I am leaving this review voluntarily!
The Nocturnes princes fall under the influence of Blood Choosing, and the consequences are swift. I loved Wren's strength and resolve. A woman forged in iron, with her eyes wide open. It's well known that the strongest fall the hardest, and the Marquis fell with the full force of gravity, despite the fight. I was thoroughly entertained by the verbal sparring between them and how Wren always seemed to have the upper hand. And all that iron continues to intrigue me. At least for me, the characters' way of thinking keeps me in attention, leaving me pondering the different possibilities that come to mind with all the mystery and questions that arise at every turn. Of course, I enjoyed this story with its dark side and mysterious twists. The one I'm eagerly awaiting is Ash’s story, which I hope, given how his situation has been described, will be quite dramatic, strange, and ultimately redemptive because I think something really bad already happened to him. Seems I’m caught in the plot. With the many emotions I experienced while reading, this author has earned a place on my list of favorites. Action, suspense, mystery, intriguing situations, strong characters, emotional scenes, magic, passion, and the inevitable villains.
I honestly had such a good time reading this. The Marquess of Ravens pulled me in right away with the darker, gothic vibe, and I didn’t want to put it down.
The biggest highlight for me was the relationship. The tension between the Marquess and the FMC is so good—she challenges him constantly and never just goes along with what he wants, which made every interaction feel sharp and interesting. I loved their banter and the push-and-pull dynamic between them. It kept me really engaged the whole time.
I also really liked the atmosphere. It felt mysterious and a little dangerous throughout, and I was always curious to see what would happen next. The world and the whole iron element added a really cool layer without feeling overwhelming.
If I had to say anything constructive, I just wish we got a little more depth in certain moments between the characters—I wanted to sit in a few scenes longer because I was so invested in them. But overall, it didn’t take away from how much I enjoyed it.
This was such an addictive read for me—strong FMC, great tension, and a darker romantic vibe that I loved. I’ll definitely be continuing the series.
Another good read in this series. Raithe is a hunter who always gets his prey and devours it. Branwren has caught his attention as his prey. When they become entwined in eachothers life everything feels different. This was very witty and made me giggle a few times. Cannot wait to see if there is another in this series
Raith has spent centuries seducing, bewitching, coercing human women without much thought and without regret. Then the blood-bond snapped into place; with an iron wielding, fae detecting, stubborn blacksmith's daughter. Wren is superb and Raith has time to reconsider and grovel. Recommended.
