March 29, 2026Blood Feud by Maya Ross was an excellent gangland thriller and it is the first book in The Anderson Family Trilogy and what an excellent start to a new series this was. It was fast-paced from the very beginning and full of excellent twists and turns, that will have you wanting more, especially as it is based in Manchester. Eve Anderson is one of the main characters and she has it all! she is married to a very powerful man who has a thriving drug empire, with a family name that commands 100% respect from everyone! But her world is shattered by a brutal attack and a shocking betrayal. Now, Eve is forced to face a truth that could destroy everything she's built.
Across the city, a successful plastic surgeon Jasmine Blake lives a very different life, happily married to a top criminal barrister. That is until she's targeted by a local gang boss. A stranger comes looking for her and blows her perfect life apart.
Superb book that will keep you turning the pages to find out what happens next. I am so looking forward to the next book within this series. I highly recommend it.

I have always loved gangland crime thrillers, and this was sold as perfect for fans of Jessie Keane, Kimberley Chambers and Emma Tallon, so immediately had my attention.
This was a well written, fast paced, explosive story. The characters where well developed and intertwined perfectly with plenty of twists along the way. A real page turner would recommend.
This is the first in a series of books and I cannot wait to read the next book.

Eve,s 40th birthday is a turning point where the past sins of others affect Eve and her family, and where does highly acclaimed plastic surgeon Jasmine, who runs in very different social circles fit into Eve,s life? A modern gangland crime thriller I couldn't put down. Good to know that there is a sequel, can't wait. If you like crime/gang stories this is for you.

This read was so exciting and jammed packed with drama and action. Eve is a woman who was married into a mob family. Jasmine is a doctor, living a semi-normal life. Neither knows a thing about the other or the lives they lead. But what the two woman learn about their pasts is jaw dropping and world shattering for them. I feel like I was getting an inside look at what mob life would be like. I don't typically read mob stories unless it is a romance, but I loved the thriller side just as much. I devoured this book in about 3 hours...yes, it was that good! Go grab a copy of this one ASAP.

What a brilliant, well crafted read this is. I absolutely devoured this book and can't wait for a follow up! Set in the Manchester underworld, it has everything you want in a gangster thriller, From interesting, well thought out characters to a suspense filled plot, this has everything you could want in a thriller. I highly recommend this read to lovers of gangster and crime thrillers.

A explosive gangland thriller that is outstanding. I wasn't sure if I would enjoy this but I loved it and thought it brilliant. The drug world clashes with the plastic surgery world and you better watch out because there is carnage. What a kick off to the series and it is leading to more.

A new gangland author, and I absolutely loved this story. Eve is married to Jay Anderson, and together they are part of a very powerful gangland family. On Eve’s 40th birthday, her party turns into a life-changing event that shatters everything she thought she knew about her life. Now, she must uncover the truth before someone kills her. It’s an amazing read where the past comes crashing into her present.
