Sergio Luzzatto is the author of Padre Pio: Miracles and Politics in a Secular Age, which won the prestigious Cundill Prize in History, and of The Body of Il Duce: Mussolini's Corpse and the Fortunes of Italy. A professor of history at the University of Turin, Luzzatto is a regular contributor to Il Sole 24 Ore.

Un señor muy curioso. Aunque a mis ojos el autor patina un poco adjudicándole la popularización del antisemitismo o del escuadrismo, por no hablar del título de "primer fascista".
Quitando los esos apuntes que hace el autor, el resto del libro es una biografía muy interesante. Uno de los tantos aristócratas decimonónicos que viéndose fuera de lugar y tiempo, decidieron irse a hacer cualquier cosa que se les antojara. Un Mishima francés.

Tiene momentos tediosos y no acaba de explicar el pensamiento de Morès. Como curiosidad histórica tiene un pase.
