B.J. Daniels started her life in Houston, Texas, before her family moved to Montana at age five. She grew up in a cabin in the Gallatin Canyon near Big Sky and later on Hebgen Lake near West Yellowstone. Because of her love for Montana, most of her books are set there. Born into a storytelling family, all she'd ever wanted to do was write stories. After a career as an award-winning newspaper journalist, she wrote and sold 37 short stories before she finally wrote her first book, ODD MAN OUT. Since then she has won numerous awards including a career achievement award for romantic suspense. She lives in Montana with her husband, Parker, two Springer Spaniels. When she isn't writing, she quilts, boats and. makes rope/fabric baskets. She always reads, loving to lose herself in a good book.
This was a 3.5 stars not because it wasn’t long enough. I am always amazed when an author comes up with a plot that I had never read about before and this author did just that. Could Molly Kilpatrick really convince the sheriff, Cash McCall, and the other people involved in the disappearance of Jasmine Wolfe, that she was Jasmine who had been gone for Seven years. This would be the perfect plan for Molly to hide from two killers who were on her trail. This story had lots of twists and turns. Great story
Interesting plot, a little unbelievable, but still a good story. Stealing someone's identity does not endear that person to me, but I did like the characters in spite of it.
There are many plot points that just don't pass the smell test in this book. That said, I really like B.J. Daniels and this short form cozy romantic-suspense that she does so well. She can weave a real good mystery that keeps you guessing to the end.
Cash McCall's fiancée, Jasmine, disappeared without a trace 7 years ago. Her car is found just outside Antelope Flats in an abandoned barn. Everyone who was close to her has something to hid, even Cash.
Molly is on the run from two ex-con killers. She sees an article about Jasmine and the photo could have been Molly, herself. Antelope Flats, MT sounds like a great place to hid and Molly heads there. She has no idea that Jasmine was not the most popular girl, to say the least and several people had good reason to want her dead. Molly has put herself in a lot of danger and the danger is not just to her person, it is also to her heart. Cash sees Molly and immediately thinks she is Jasmine. He ever buys her amnesia story, at first. He has an attraction to Molly that her never had for Jasmine.
really liked this book.hard to put down.had to finish it to see what happened.the story of a missing lady and molly who was on the run trying to pass as her.getting herself in more danger than she was to start with.the book kept you wondering what was going to happen that I couldn't put it down....
Really liked it! Near the end I thought wouldn't it be funny if so and so murder her. I was right and I was thinking that maybe Molly could of been a twin but love the twist at the end. Looking forward to book 4.
