The second part is a bit OTT with the villain but it wasn't cartoonishly done. The group kidnapping was pretty well thought out and the shoot out was cool.
This is where Sloane's tech skills shine and I liked that she got the floor and was able to take charge without getting mansplained. Respect to the author for this.
The Finn x Delilah episode gets whackier but it is what it is.
Ex-wife was kinda annoying cuz she obviously saw that Knox was with Sloane but chose to try her shenanigans. Girl, please.
Messy, messy, messy with the sister x step-dad x mom and a baby on the way situation. This felt a bit wattpad-y. Kinda icky and wasn't down with it.
We also get the more of Knox's backstory that inevitably led to his military journey and all of the guilt he carried for so long due to his toxic as family. Everyone was at fault and Finn is a real POS. But you also see how his mom is also a real big POS as well cuz she knew the truth and just took it out on Knox and was ok with him taking the fall.
Smut is still hot as F in this one. Didn't feel overdone where it overtook the plot.
Safety - both non virgins, he didn't come off as a manwhore but he did have a sex room 👀, OWD (he's technically married and she really wanted to give it a shot but they never slept together), OMD (she was in love with the brother), cheating but not between MCs, no sharing, no on page sex with OP.

This book is a soap opera waiting to be adapted. Insane, wonderful, hilarious, spicy, and wild as can be.

This story took so many damn twists and turns, I got whiplash a few times in mostly a good way! Like literally gasping "WHAT?" a few times throughout the book. Everyone is a mess and I loved it. The Wrong Obsession and The Right Addiction have so many characters. The world building is pretty in-depth and it can make it difficult to keep track, but also it feels like real and genuine family chaos (okay, within reason).
I feel as though the epilogue cut off any opportunity to branch into other books within the world since it sort of wraps up everyone's stories with a neat (and slightly confusing) little bow. However, sometimes knowing the end isn't as important as getting the story. I think I'd like more of Soroya's backstory though.
The spice in this story is spicy though 🔥🔥 love me a good play room scene.
