This was so frustrating to me. FMC was in a "relationship" with a dude with a live in girlfriend. FMC knew about the girlfriend. But she is still supposed to be viewed as sympathetic because the dude didn't leave his girlfriend like he said he would? Then the dude dies and she thinks about how it won't be awkward for her at work any more. Ice cold. I liked Ethan, he deserved better. Also, the dog's name changed in one chapter to Ruby. I know everyone won't have my same hang up, so don't skip it if you read the others.

A lovely story of learning from your past mistakes and taking a chance on love again. Astrid and Ethan both have a past that has made them doubt that true love still exists. Yet, they find just that when they both put aside their fears and take a chance on each other.
Thank you to Hazel for the chance to read and review this book! All thoughts and feelings are solely my own, I was not paid for this review.
I was lucky enough to find Hazel and read her other book Rebel and when the opportunity to Read vaulted came up I couldn’t say no and I’m so glad I didn’t! This book was truly spectacular! It’s a slow burn single dad romance that is chefs kiss! I absolutely love the fact that the FMC was extremely relatable to me since she had anxiety. This one is definitely one to read! And the other two in the series as well! Thank you for another phenomenal book Hazel! You have become one of my favorites ❤️
