I thought with the amount of books this author has and the tropes, this would be safe but it’s shit
Never again
He left after taking her V card, never try to contact her, he lied, lives his best life and never try to contact her!
He came back to town and for two months avoid her and stay away… he flirts, he is a jerk to her, thinks about having sec and getting laid with OW, he thinks about his daughters teacher, he has a daughter never mentioned before, you can choose!

I keep reading try to find something but honestly it’s just getting worse so adios
DNF 30% and never again this author!
What is wrong with romance writers later? Not even romance land is cool anymore and why is like every heroine is poor and lives with two shirts and can’t afford rent? We don’t need men to pay anymore… we are going backwards…

One of the highlights for me was their son. I thought he was so sweet. My only critique is that certain plot points could have used a bit more depth and clarity, while a few emotional beats felt slightly overemphasized.

I enjoyed this story, and like all of the other stories from Liz Archer, the story does not disappoint. Piper and Caleb well once a couple, but Caleb left her behind only to discover she was pregnant and becoming a single mum. Now it’s 10 years later, and Piper has a secret that she doesn’t want Caleb to knowing, but when she accidentally burned her house down, Caleb is with the fire department and the sparks are still there between them. Will Caleb step up to the plate and help her raise their son? This couple had heat between them, now will the second chance give them what they need? They eventually have their happily ever after together.

First off, Piper and Caleb need to have a few lessons on basic biology. They’ve got chemistry down pat. That said…

A few anonymous sexts, a house fire, secret babies, a hit man from Boston, a stolen fire truck…this one had it all. While we know Piper and Caleb will end up HEA, this one took a little longer to get there. This was my first romance with an insurance inspector character.

The 🌶️ scenes were 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️. Pipe and Caleb are well written. I’d have liked them to come together as a couple a little faster but…hey…this was a solid read. Especially if you’re someone who likes a firefighter.

Fire Still Burns

Piper is reunited with Caleb when her house burns down and needs a place for her and her son to stay. While the attraction between them has never left their past puts them at a distance. Trust is all but gone and secrets remain. The tension that emanates from this situation was entirely entertaining. How long can two people with a connection so strong avoid each other? I also enjoyed the added mystery of danger from an outside party, which added some heart pounding moments to this exciting read.

Oh, my stars Liz had me hooked looking at the cover and reading all about Caleb and Piper starting with the very first page. This is a book that is sinfully delicious and hot. I am going to need several cold showers after I finished reading this AMAZING 10-star book just so I can cool down. I have been telling my friends to read this book because it's magnificent. I stayed up way late just so I could finish reading it. So, grab a cold drink of water and start swooning over Caleb the HOT firefighter that will keep your heart pounding.

Once I opened this book I had to read it to the very last page. The characters were so good And seemed realistic. The storyline was what I expected it would be but then towards the end it took a twist and had me so eager to finish the book and find out what happened. This was a ok read. I’m always flabbergasted when there is an age gap and the guy still seems immature. Yes, he loves his daughter, but the things he did just didn’t fit with a respectful firefighter or maturity from age. The FMC just got on my nerves.
