Hannah Montgomery has always been hiding. Bruises concealed by church dresses. Hatred trapped behind a practiced smile. Defiance masked as subservience.
When her chance to escape her family’s cult finally comes, she takes it. Six months pregnant with a four-year-old on her hip, she flees. Finally free, her only goals are to survive and to protect her children. When she meets her new Alpha bodyguard and his Omega, she quickly finds herself falling. And these men will do anything to prove she’s theirs.
But freedom comes at a cost. Her husband isn’t going to let her go easily. Not when she carries the male heir he needs to take control of her father’s congregation. He hunts her relentlessly, wearing her down until she’s ready to break.
One thing this Beta won’t do is give up. She’s been Reforged by Fate, and this time, she isn’t fighting alone.
Reforged By Fate is a MMMF Why Choose standalone set in the Soulbound Omegaverse world.
We met Hannah and Kaitlin in Omen's story but I loved that we really get to know her on a deeper level.
Hannah is such a beautiful person inside and out, she is a great mum, brave, kind, respectful and just has this calming aura about her that I love. Our mmc's are Shepherd, Foster and Manny. These men are literally the best and i am so happy that Hannah found her fated because she is so deserving of it. Shepherd is an alpha and protects his mates so fiercely. Foster is an omega and Omen and Bea's best friend. He is very charming and just has a sunshine personality. Manny, he is so sweet and kind and the perfect addition.
The plot was devastating, beautiful and so healing. Hannah gets her and her daughter, Kaitlin out of her father's cult and is immediately taken in by Shepherd and Foster. Foster and Shepherd are immediately obsessed with Hannah and Kaitlin and they stop at nothing to make sure Hannah and Kaitlin are safe with them. Hannah is very reserved and rightfully so after everything she has gone through. But through actions, overtime, she slowly let her guard down with Shep and Foster and let them see all of her. It makes it a little more complicated when Foster goes into heat and has an instant connection with his helper, Manny. Hannah's family is still at large and they all definitely go through he!! and back to get the happy ending they so rightfully deserve.
An amazing story, loved it!
Thank you so much J.C and your beautiful team for the opportunity to read this story. I am forever grateful 🙏
It is so wonderful to get Hannah’s story! This book overlaps with some of the events of the Primordial Covenant Duet & The Bonds of Pain Duet. It is so amazing to see the interactions between the sisters from Hannah’s perspective.
This one really tore at my heart. There is so much riding on Fate from the very first moment of the book. There is so much tension in the unknown but also SO many sweet sweet moments! I’m definitely a fan of fated mates, so the fate matched mates here are a definite win.
One thing I really love about this universe are the fated connections. The long made short- they are the indicators of fated mates. These indicators are so unique and a really fun addition.
I think this is a stellar omegaverse universe and one you should definitely visit! If you are a fan of something fated mates with sweetness but also a HEFTY dose of religious cult trauma this would be a great choice.
Reforged by Fate by JC Belenac releasing February 27th. This is the fifth book in the Soulbound Omegaverse, a series of interconnected standalones. While this can be read as a standalone, it is FAR more meaningful to have read the previous books in the series to have a more full understanding of the events happening concurrently with this book.
I was gifted a copy of this book by the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you!
Good read. This is a mostly sweet story with a slash of dark with darker undertones. Hannah’s story takes place concurrently to her sister Omen’s story (The Primodial Covenant Duet) There’s spice, loving moments and some topics that may be difficult for some.
I loved how Shepherd and Foster took the time to make Hannah feel safe and loved (like she never had before) and let their relationship go a her pace especially knowing that they were fate matched mates. Loved how they were with Kaitlin as well. And Manny just fit in so seamlessly and was a great addition to the pack. We also see all of the pack help her with the fallout and ‘issues’ of her leaving the cult and her ex. The
A bit of a different take on omegaverse, with different types of fated mates and also a glossary in the back that explains them.
No cheating, no OWD, no third act breakup with a HEA
* Fated Mates * Single Mother & Pregnancy * Damsel in Distress * Bodyguard MMC * Forced Proximity * MMMF / BAOB * Insta Lust but Slow Burn
I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for a honest review.
3.5 stars
This book was good, but it also took way too long for me to read it, to the point that I just wanted to be DONE, because it was dragging on.
So many parts of this were just too cheesy (example: the nickname Hot Stuff) and sickly sweet for me. Don't get me wrong, Hannah deserves all the joy and sweetness, but it was just too much for me. Also way too many exclamation points were used (and this is coming from someone who loves herself an exclamation point).
Also a heat wasn't shown on page of that featured the whole pack... Not a fan of that.
Omen's duet (Primordial Covenant) is still my favorite in this series. I just feel that JC writes darker romance better than sweet.
I would still recommend this book to someone who loves overly sweet romance, with a side of suspense though.
Hannah's story is here! I've loved every part of this intricate story. Omen's story started this series, but Hannah has always been a big part. I was so excited to see that we would get to see her side.
I love that Hannah is the quiet hero. She sacrificed to protect her sister and others. And when she and her young daughter finally get away from her family's cult, she knows it isn't over. Her ex will come after her and her father and mother will want the son/ heir that she's carrying.
Hannah's side of history reveals so much. A lot of it is dark. I'm so happy that she had Foster and Shepherd with her when she got out. They were so sweet and didn't rush her. And I love that she's the one who found Manny and encouraged Foster to bring him in. She saw that he needed them. Plus, it showed that fate isn't the only way to find your mates.
This is a great story about overcoming! I'm excited to see what comes next for this author.
I really liked Hannah's story with Shepherd, Foster and Manny! The slow burn development between Foster, Shepherd and Hannah at the beginning was so good, it was the right pace for them with the circumstances at the time. Manny fit in so seamlessly when introduced half way and absorbed everything really well with Hannah's psycho ex. The plot kept me invested as we know the storyline briefly but we got to see it from Hannah's pov and how badly Colin, his family and her mother wanted to get back at her. Definitely pay attention to the triggers but I'd still say this was mostly found family and had a cosy vibe to it with the family moments with the kids. Really enjoyed the relationship between Manny, Shepherd and Foster themselves; it was nicely developed alongside Hannah's with them all.
Looking forward to the next book in this series and where we get taken next!
If you read the first 2 duets in this series, you know that they are packed full of action, drama, and at times heartbreakingly tragic. Well, Hannah's story gives us readers time to breathe after the events in those books. This story still has darker elements, but Hannah has already been through so much. She deserves to finally have people to rely on. I feel like this book is a bit slower on the start up but given what Hannah has been through and what's going on with her life it is understandable, and by the end of the book you'll be missing the characters and wanting more. Fair warning just because this book is sweeter than the others doesn't mean that the spice isn't there, Reforged by Fate is full of spice.
I love the Soulbound Omegaverse world and was delighted to return and get Hannah’s story! The main vibes were sweet, frustrating, heartwarming, and infuriating. I was bouncing between soaking up the amazing MMMF relationship and sighing aggressively and exclaiming “the audacity!”. There are significantly darker themes mentioned, but not too terribly much happens on page. I loved the healing journey and the realistic nature that sometimes it’s two steps forward and one step back. Shepherd, Foster, and Manny are the sweetest MMCs and absolutely perfect for Hannah. While this does stand alone, if you want to read Omen’s and Bea’s stories, I recommend doing so before you read Reforged by Fate as you’ll get all kinds of spoilers!
This was an excellent Omegaverse book. It was full of drama and was the ultimate slow burn.
This is Hannah’s story. She is the beta big sister to Omen, the omega from The Primordial Covenant duet. While this can definitely be read as a standalone, Omen’s story is so very good, so you should definitely read it too!
The author really does a great job writing strong female characters. Hannah finally escapes her family’s cult at the beginning of this book, but as you can imagine, it’s not a clean break and a lot of chaos ensues in this story. She is surrounded by Foster and Sterling throughout everything though, and their story is beautifully done. Add in Manny, and this pack is absolute perfection. I loved their dynamic so much, and this was such a well done Omegaverse story.
Given the conflict of this book and the previous 2 books, you'd think this book would be darker than it was and while it still had some darker themes, this book felt very sweet and full of love and adoration. Shepard and Foster were probably the best mcs for Hannah to end up with and then when Manny came around, you could feel the love coming off the pages. I loved how gentle and dotting they were with her daughter and how patient they were with her. I highly recommend this book!
Shepherd and Foster doted on Hannah from the beginning, slowly earning her trust and showing her how much she and her children were cherished and wanted. They were just what she needed to heal from her traumatic past. Manny was a great addition to their pack, and he seemed to fit seamlessly once he allowed himself to believe they wanted him forever, too. This was jam-packed with sweetness and would make a great read if you're craving comfort and warm fuzzies.
This book was everything I needed it to be. Hannah’s story was so important to get for me because I needed to know how she was able to heal and grow. I loved seeing the guys get their beta and adding another into the pack. Loved seeing the love all the men had for their ladies and how supportive and devoted they are. There is a lot of healing and some darkness in the book but more light than the others in the series.
Wow what a ride! You get all the feels and plenty of danger with a surprise pack addition that I was pleasantly pleased to see wasn’t the usual alpha addition. Don’t pass this one up. Also, the little kid was an actual part of the story which I appreciated because a lot of the time the kids are just plot lures and become barely seen background props lol but Kaitlyn was so cute and really stole the show.
What a fantastic story!! I was sucked in from the very first page. The storyline had me at the edge of my seat in a few spots. I swooned in other spots. I loved how they all navigated their attraction and love for each other. I enjoyed catching up with the other characters from the series.
This story was so full of love and acceptance. You could sense how scared Hannah is at the beginning and how much the guys are willing to prove they are there for her anyway she needs them. It was heartwarming even as you felt her struggle with the guilt
Oh Hannah! I loved her story so much and am so happy to see how she was able to get away from her evil ex and twisted family. I love the cameos from other book characters and seeing the pack form around Hannah and the kids. I can’t wait for Caleb’s story!
1st time reading a book like this. I thought it was a shifter book. It started off good but died along the way. It was way too long for no apparent reason. Should have definitely explained alpha, beta, omega, and heat. I probably wouldn't another book like this.
A great story with an interesting pack building experience. The first part of the book was heavy on building a trusting foundation. It was sweet seeing that develop. Then BAM! Another dude enters the story. It honestly felt like two separate stories. I hate when a new party is added late in a book. I never feel like I get to know them as well as the other chericters. Overall a good story, good and spicy, and worth the read.
